Its been one year since I purchased the Mangiafuoco. It is without a doubt the best purchase Ive made in 30 years of marriage!!! It was a gift for my husbands birthday. He has never really wanted anything, but he had done his research and had been eyeing the oven up for some time. When we had 5 major appliances fail within months, he put the purchase on the back burner. With a little encouragement from our daughter, I ordered the oven anyway. It is the gift that keeps on giving. We have done well over 300 pizzas in the last year. It is our goal to beat our record of 40 pizzas in an evening! When friends are invited over for pizza night, theyre not too excited, anticipating sheet-pan oven pizza. The experience is life changing!! Now they invite themselves over. Lets just say we are having a lot of fun with family and friends. Thank you for such a quality made pizza oven. We are hooked! My husband says as long as the oven stays hot so will our marriage! LOLSide note: We love watching the YouTube and IG videos!
My wife just surprised me on Fathers Day a few weeks ago with the Mangaiafuoco wood fired pizza oven, all stainless steel, with stand. It is phenomenal!! Exceeds our expectations in terms of quality, design, ease of setup, start-up of wood fire, heat output, heat retention and cooking quality of the pizza. We are surprised with how economical it is in terms of wood consumption - lots of heat produced with a small amount of wood required. My sons and I have already made about 60 pizzas 10-12 diameter (we have a big family) using your dough recipes. The variety has included margherita, sausage/pepperoni, cream/prosiutto/zucchini blossoms/scallions/cheese. Weve found the Fontana Forni USA video recipes to be well-produced and easy to follow. The recipes yield great results for the dough and youve given us many tips that have made for a successful experience with the oven. Weve also made oven-roasted chicken, lamb chops, scallops and shrimp. To top it off, my wife related nothing but an exceedingly positive experience speaking with your customer service team. You were patient, informative, gracious and treated her with respect. You really care and it shows. Such welcome and personal customer service in this day and age! Even delivery was on time and the product arrived safely. The freight delivery person from R+L carriers was helpful, friendly and accommodating. Thank you for a wonderful product that has really brought joy to our family in these troubling times. (Lets face it, food brings people and families together.) We highly recommend Fontana Forni USA and the Mangiafuoco oven. We wish you much continued success! Thank you! Grazie mille!
We are extremely satisfied with our purchase of the Margherita Pizza Oven. We had issues with bringing the oven up to temperature and keeping it. They patiently worked with us until we were satisfied with the results. We cannot recommend Fontana enough. They stand behind their product.
I recently purchased the fontana marinara pizza oven. I am so glad that i purchased this item, it was easy to put the stand together. We started cooking pizza right away, and if you follow the instructions on the video site you cant go wrong... Would recommend fontana oven to anyone looking for a pizza oven, its another great way to have a Bbq gathering.
Oh my how my family loves this oven. We bought a little attachment for our kettle grill and used it a few times. The pizza sucked, but the experience was fantastic. That made us look around for a true wood fired pizza oven. We ran across Fontana and liked what we saw. Ordered the big one. It arrived a couple of days later. First, its damn heavy. Bring some friends, but dont worry youll pay them back with some fantastic pizza. Absolutely impressed with the over quality of the product. We quickly assembled the stand and placed this big ol oven right on top. Within hours we had the thing fired up and started to make our first pizzas. Delicious!Note, this is not for making chicago or new york style pizzas (though it could), its really to make Neopolitan traditional pizzas. They are really terrific. My family has had many nights with fiends and family enjoying this oven. It has been a great social event for family gatherings.Kirk at Fontana Forni has been great. Very responsive, items ship fast. This oven looks like it will last a very long time.Be very wary...soon youll have neighbors and friends you havent seen in a while just dropping buy to get a bite of your pizza. Happens all the time around here.
Ive had my Margherita oven for about a month now, and I absolutely love it. Assembly was a breeze (with a little help) and it makes the best pizza! Im able to easily cook two 10 pizzas at the same time. The oven is very well built and the fact that Fontana adds a thick steel plate on the left side of the oven is a great addition that no other manufacturer has. I looked at a few different stainless steel pizza ovens and settled on the Fontana because of how well made it is. If youre considering other ovens, I highly recommend Fontana!
Hi my name is John and I’m from Australia. I recently bought a Fontana marinara pizza oven after doing some heavy research and Fontana stood out ahead of the rest in size, build, and most importantly the insulation to retain heat. Well am I very disappointed. I have used it now 3 times and even after an hour I really struggle to get the heat past 300 degrees Celsius. And yes I do have the door adjur and I do know to turn the flute on a 45 degree angle as I’ve studied the videos on how to start the oven.I have a good amount of flame inside billowing across the roof also. And I guess the most disappointing thing also it doesn’t retain heat at all. As soon as you take the door off to cook pizzas it drops 100 degrees in seconds. I’m embarrassed to even show it off to friends and family after bragging so much before my purchase. I would understand if I was paying peanuts for it as the saying goes you pay for what you get but paying $4500 ain’t peanuts in my eyes. Sorry for this but I’m so disappointed. I’ve also sent a few emails to Fontana and they don’t have descenty to reply.
I searched for a long time before I decided upon the Fontana Forni Mangiafuoco wood fired pizza oven. My wife and I wanted to start a family tradition of Saturday Night pizza and Movies with our little kids. To say this oven is nice is an understatement. I cant believe how quality this oven is. I cant say enough about the customer service as well. I had called and it was back ordered due to COVID and fortunately, I found one locally that as mislabeled as a floor model due to the regular employee being out with covid and her replacement misunderstanding the labeling when I called. In any event, packing is to a T. The table is easy to assemble. I had two helpers get the oven onto the base and it is a welcomed addition and conversation piece to the back yard. Another thing that is just special about Fontana USA is the recipes and videos on their website. Such high quality and fun to watch and easy to follow. I really cant say enough about this company. Thanks again!
This is my second Fontana Forni oven. We bought one for our second residence (Mangiafuoco with saputo stone and new stainless top). Ive owned the dual chamber Divino for a decade. Two entirely different cooking experiences. The Divino has a separate fire box chamber and the cooking chamber is heated from below. Its a great all around oven for pizzas, roasts, breads, sauces, etc. The Mangiafuoco is completely different as you cook within and adjacent to the flame, like a traditional pizza oven. Its very efficient, got the saputo stone up to 800 deg F in 30 minutes with no more than a half dozen 1-3 in. diameter pieces of oak and starter sticks. Both products are very well built, the Divino has a much larger cooking chamber, oven light and convection fan. The Mangiafuoco is simple and much more efficient, and turns out the most traditional Neopolitan pizzas. This amateur pizziaolo/bread baker whos been to the old country several times is making pizzas that rival Micheles in Napoli. Fontana Forni and Tuscan imports are first class in product, service and resources.
Ordering and delivery were fast and easy. Actually, the delivery was a bit too fast as I needed a couple of more days to build the counter (out of adobe brick and cedar timbers. I still havent placed the stone counter to the right of the oven.) The box with accessories had been dented in transit, but the driver was happy to wait while I inspected everything to be sure there was no damage. I got to fire up the oven the first night it was in place and couldnt be happier. It came up to about 700°F in about 25 minutes with little fussing. Id been using a pizza steel in our indoor oven for some time, but the result in the Mangiafuoco was much better even on my first pizza. I used the oven four more times the first week. Excellent results, except for when I ran the temperature up to 900°F just to see if I could and then I couldnt move fast enough to keep up when I put two pizza in at once. I barely turned around to pick up the turning peel and they were done.
The team at Fontana was so helpful. I felt a great level of comfort on the phone with them while they walked me through all my questions and concerns. I was trying to buy the right pizza oven for months with no success until I talked to them. If you are considering a pizza oven purchase I would speak to these guys. Professional and they know the product backwards and forwards.
I am so pleased with the overall experience of Fontana Forni. They have been helpful with everything from the sale to the shipping and very friendly, offering advice about how to use their products. What I loved was the fact that they do what they say they are going to do!As for the Mangiafuoco, it is amazing. I have cooked pizza, wings and kebabs already. I am ready for summer and keeping my kitchen cool, by cooking outside. The recipes by Mama Fontana are just amazing. She makes everything look easy and it really gives you a direction. I highly recommend this company. They make you feel like La Famiglia Thank you again!
So I wanted to wait 6 months to review and I am at the 6 month mark of having this absolutely incredible oven in my back yard. I am not one to review things right away and always have to give the product time before reviewing. If you’re on the market for a pizza oven please look no further. These ovens are a little more expensive than its competitors but this is a far superior product. I had my eyes on a few different ovens and after reading many reviews I decided to purchase the Marinara oven. Assembly was very easy and seasoning the oven was simple. The pizzas get better each and every time we use the oven. I had a surprise birthday party for my wife and hired a professional pizza company to come and cook pizzas all day long and the cooks said that it was the best oven they cooked pizzas in outside of their restaurant. Customer service is incredible as I learned you deal with a family owned and operated business. Father and son are just awesome and there to answer any and all questions. Buy one of these ovens and I promise you won’t be disappointed.
Extremely happy with my new Fontana Forni Mangiafuoco oven!I just made the best pizza using it for the first time! I cant wait to cook for all my family and friends!Great company name as well :)
I purchased the Marinara wood pizza oven the summer and absolutely love it. The delivery process was straight forward and they answered my questions throughout the process very quickly. The oven is beautiful and is producing some top notch Neapolitan style pizzas. As it weighs ~500lb you will want some help setting it up.
Pleased with out NEW Fontana Fornì Marinara. It arrived in great shape and was easy to assemble. I was helped in my choosing it when I spoke directly with someone at FF. They were polite and appeared genuine in their help to choose, not pushing to sell their product. A great product and good company. Thanks FF for your help.
My oven (magiafuoco) arrived as advertised and it looks beautiful and works great. The quality is 5 stars! Also the customer service when asking questions and obtaining info on the product was excellent. You can tell this company takes pride in each and every product they make.
The oven are high end so I expect high service and you get it. Ever time I call someone in the family answers, a real person no answering machine. I bought the Gusto 57. The video showing how to un-package it was very helpful. My pizza stone didnt fit so I called. I had them switch, problem resolved. Fired it up and ran it at 350 C for a couple of hours to get the manufacturing smells burned off. (thats explained in the video too.) First Pizza turned out better than anything I did on the BGE. Sorry egg lovers. At 350 C, about 650 F the pizza cooked in 5 minutes and the crust was not burned anywhere. Next pizza I am going to push the temp to 400 C. I shut the air intake and flue when done. I checked the temp an hour later and it was still at 350 C. Heat retention is great. I am looking forward to making my first loaf of bread.
We have planned for several years to make this purchase and we reviewed all the options, but ultimately decided to purchase the Fontana Forni Mangiafuoco without the stand. It was delivered on a pallet and the driver used a hand forklift to place it in the garage. It was easy to put together, but you need a couple of strong guys to move it! We opted to upgrade our purchase with the Saputo tiles and purchased the tools including peels, turner, brush and coal scraper.. highly recommend all! We placed the oven atop our new brick barbecue that we had built. Make sure you research the dimensions for the perfect fit. We were all set to fire it up this weekend and it was a huge success! Our pizza was glorious! We followed the recipes for Napolitano pizza on the company website and it was a huge hit! Our pizza took only 5 minutes to bake and it was easy to turn and maneuver. If you have ever thought about buying one.. don’t hesitate! Life is too short and you will not regret it. We now look forward to bread baking, roasting veggies and meats.. maybe even an apple pie!
Excellent. This is my second oven in the last 10 years.
