We are a supplier for D-Fence and have not been paid for our equipment. No dispute, just dont pay and wont return calls etc. Just a warning to those other suppliers out there.
Steve at D-Fence installed a manual rolling gate for me. I found out after he did the work that there were companys around that wouldve done the work for cheaper. I shouldve shopped it around more, but I was at least happy with the gate. About a month later a big storm came through and the wind blew the gate so hard that it came off the track, and then the track came out of the ground and got twisted up. Upon close inspection, the track had not actually been ripped out of the ground, it had simply come off the anchors because the nuts had either backed off completely, or werent ever installed to begin with. I called Steve and he came out and said he could install better anchors for $400. I told him we would just like the track reset and reattached to the anchors since it appeared (and Steve agreed) that it was an installation error. Steve said he would take care of it under warranty. That was 3 months ago and I havent heard from him since. Ive left dozens of voicemails and sent multiple emails and texts with no response. Steve either has no regard for customer service or is just out to make a quick buck. Based on my experience and the other reviews Im seeing, I wouldnt recommend D-Fence to anyone.
ZERO STARS! RUN!!!! Do NOT hire this company! This guy, Mr. Baker is a fraud. He was paid every penny ($10,000!!) he charged to do a huge job for us and left it UNFINISHED. He never answered or returned our calls for any resolution. Oh, and Home Advisor is a joke to deal with as well. They said they would pay a contractor to fix it if we couldnt get any resolution. Ha! Turns out, that was a lie as well. $10,000 PEOPLE!!!! ITS DISGUSTING!
They do put up a fence and most of the gadgets, but fail to follow through. Had agreed to have extra post put up, but they never came through with it, I had payed ahead of time as well, with the promise that they would get it going, never happened. Keep having continuous issues with the 2 commercial size gates they put up. If you are planning to use them, be wary of their commitment to following through and expect issues to arise in the future, adding an extra loss to your pockets.
D Fence fix the gate at my apartment complex. That gate would break down all the time and now it works perfectly. I hope D Fence will be the only company we work with in the future.
I wish I could rate D-Fence with a zero..I had an electric gate installed last May for $2200.00. The gate would not work when it rain/snow, I called Steve to get another remote and I would pay for it. He said okay and he would check on the gate. He told me that he made an adjustment but the gate would not work in rainy or snowy weather. I told him what good is an automatic gate if it does not work in bad weather. He said that happens with these kind of gates. I myself solved the gate operating in inclement weather, by modifying a sensor. After that the gate still malfunction. I called Steve repeatedly and he never returned my calls. I never heard from him again. I finally called Christian Brothers who had to replaced the track, repair the motor and raised the motor sensor. It cost me another $1800 to get the gate working properly. D-Fence Warranty was useless. I would not recommend D-Fence to anyone. I would strongly recommend Christian Brothers.
Found Steve at D-fence on a home advisor site and he installed our automatic gate 10/2016. Today is the 10th consecutive day I called him after our gate has not functioned properly and I also called him a few times. Now it will not open at all and he hasnt returned my call or text. I guess he is out of business? What I dont like is this is the 3rd issue I have had and I feel like I have to chase him to get it right.
This guys installed a cheap gate that never worked right. Then stop returning my calls after they couldnt figure out what was wrong with the terrible gate that was installed. Now Im having the spend a small fortune to repair the problem that they installed.
I wish I could have given 0 stars. I had the exact same experience as the other user that posted similar issue. We found Steve on AngiesList and engaged him to install the electric gate for us. He installed the Viking Gate (Model K2) and sold me on it versus the LiftMaster. The gate never worked properly and intermittently stopped working. This was a rental property, so it was even more chaotic scheduling and doing DIY diagnostics.Anyways, this gate came with a 5 year residential warranty. I contacted Steve several times for our scheduled appointment after waiting for week and a half only to find out that he has stopped responding to both text and cell messages. Stay away from such a individual as they dont demonstrate the right business ethic. Theyre a one-time shot and are looking for easy money getting one-time business. Im going to complain to BBB as well as AngiesList to give them similar reviews.Oh did I mention, we had to fork over $150 to get someone fix an issue where the diagnose was that the install wasnt done properly as the chain was hanging too low and the limits were not set correctly.
Terrible company. Have left about 3 messages after he came out for an estimate.... No communication at all! I still havent received a quote after 2 1/2 weeks! Do not use this company.
Do not do business with this company. Mr. Baker is indeed a fraud and should be prosecuted to the full extent of applicable law.
Very pleased, will use again
Great job!
He didnt complete the work for our company, and some of the work he did is falling apart and I cant get him to call or email or text me back.its time to move on.
