I have become a fan of Milwaukee Tools because of here......they had great Black Friday deals I could not pass up. I have since added to my Milwaukee tool collection and am extremely happy with every one of them! Plus, Northern Tool has a great selection of items online that can be shipped for free right to their store for pick up. I just ordered 2 large raised beds online, and Northern Tool had better pricing than even overstocked or discounted websites. I have had excellent service every time I am at the store.

Not happy with delivery to store estimate being out a full week and then being a range of more than a week. I would think for an item they show in stock that could be shipped to a local store they would have a better idea of when it would be available for pickup. Also, their account password restrictions are WAY too sensitive. Ive never, ever heard of a site not allowing the same character to be repeated in a password. Why the heck not? That kept me from creating an account and will keep me from placing future orders on their site.

I visited this store recently while on vacation from California. I had needed some supplies to fix a few things at a cabin rental, and I must say I was not used to the awesome level of support we received while there. In California you are lucky to get someone to even pay attention to you, but here the staff and management went out of their way to answer questions and point me in the right direction. Minnesota for the win once again! I just wish I lived closer to Forest Lake so I could shop here all the time.

Needed to have a chain shortened for an auto stack machine. Went to multiple businesses and finally forest lake northern tool was able to help me on the spot with excellent and budget friendly service. The maintenance and service department was spot on

Great, they had the tire I wanted, $190. Asked manager for a coupon as Id left mine at home, 1/2 hour away. He said nope, people were taking advantage of that. After I got home, I grabbed my coupon went to the BLAINE store, showed the manager my receipt, coupon, and got $58 back. Thanks for nothing Forest Lake store manager. Also, he was nice enough to bring the tire I had called about to the check out for me, upon inspection at check out, it was the wrong tire. Me checking that saved me over an hour to return it.

Was going to get the year-long delivery deal with my order - was going to reduce shipping from 729 to 446 (saving $283). But at checkout, shipping discount was only $15 ! Same thing happened last year when I bought the same product. So watch out when confirming checkout/purchase. Otherwise, product and delivery are good.

Lots of purchases, mostly pick up and major items like 60 gallon compressors, hydraulic presses, etc. Every time, Forest Lake Northern Tool is right on. Fast notification that my items have arrived, excellent service, Perfect forklift placement (surgical!) in my truck and most importantly impeccable customer service. I always pick up my purchases from the Forest Lake store. Even if it’s out of my way. They are without question my choice.

Last night I ordered two trailer tires and a trailer tire mount. This morning I got an email saying your order is ready. Two hours later I show up at the store to pick up my order. There is one employee on the company phone, one there who greets me to ask what can I help you with. I tell her I need my order, she tells me it’s on the shelf. I go to get my order it’s one tire and a trailer tire mount. I ask her where is the other tire she tells me she’ll call someone to get it. I listen to try to get 3 different people to grab the tire. ( I have no physical disabilities so I could have grabbed it in the back of the store but I am ordering ahead to save time on my lunch break) so I take the trailer tire mount to my car while they are getting the other tire, I come back someone brings it up as I get inside. I wait for the store manager who’s now there to finish helping a customer and woman from before. The manager takes over helping me has my sign the receipt after checking my ID and I left. Total time 15 mins for a online pick up. Moral of story don’t order online for pick up here.

Had the trailer parts I was looking for, very helpful and friendly. A big plus was that the parts were made in the USA. Im sure they couldve gotten cheaper stuff over seas but the fact that they did not makes a big difference for me. I would like to see more businesses do this. I would gladly pay more for something made here.

I feel that when I go in the afternoon it’s the best time every time I end up going in the mornings everyone seems so cranky and not as joyful just the cashiers though

VERY knowledgeable staff and an awesome selection for trailer parts and build kits... bought my garage propane heater among myriad other stuff here... love it...Oh and while were at it they totally kick Home Depots ass and Menards ass when it comes to safety eyewear they have a full array of regular eyewear safety eyewear sunglasses eyewear but unlike Home Depot and Menards these guys have I wear with diopters for us old guys who need cheaters.

Your online ordering system is bad. The store cancelled my order and gave me no options to get the product. Your service has been historically bad. I have no reason to do business with you again, when I can get same products from other providers for same price with much better service.

I purchased a power tool that didnt work when I arrived home. I was frustrated because we live some distance away and the drive is inconvenient. Power tools are supposed to be started and operated prior to leaving the store. I received a nice discount to compensate me for my time along with an apology. Although my time is limited and worth more than what I received, I appreciated their willingness to try to make it right. Sometimes, how a business deals with mistakes is as important as their service. Generally, my experience with Northern is good and I get a better quality tool than I would through a discount chain store. I will continue to shop at Northern.

The check out woman was very rude. This place has sure changed from earlier years. Almost everything is cheap China made things. What is happening to all our stores. I want American made things.

Staff is friendly for the most part. Wished they keep more milwaukee tools in stock when they have deals/sales I was about to drop $1000+ when all I found out they had a few displays only to sell me...

Purchased an item only for them to tell me an item is identical online to in store but deliberately marked with a different internal sku so they do not need to match their own prices. Online support even admitted the item is the same and to order it online.

I love the weed eaters.

I bought a generator with a two year warranty here and it lasted a month. I was told 4 week turn around time to determine if it is covered or not. I thought it was a warranty, not insurance. I need my tools, I cant wait 4 weeks for a possible rebuild. Does not stand behind their products.

Employees are rude and unable or unwilling to answer questions. Younger employee told me they didnt have something I was asking for before I was even done saying it. I then found what I was looking for on my own. At the check-out I asked the cashier if there was anyway he could contact customer service for something I ordered from them. He said Nope, cant help you with something you did at home garbage service. Wont be going here again.

The guys working there are friendly and willing to help as much as possible. The female cashier... Not so much. She typed in our number wrong to pull up our account and tells us we dont have an account with them. We questioned it and she still proceeds to argue we dont. We asked her to try again, she did, and big shocker it worked! Instead of working with the customer and automatically assumed it was us being wrong. If she hates her job so much, chance your life.

Great place to go if you like rude employees. Daniel S. the cashier couldn’t be troubled to stop his conversation with two fellow employees about bear trapping to ring up my purchase. Stood in front of them for about 45 seconds before I was greeting by asking me my phone number which I had to repeat because he continued on his previous conversation after the first time he asked. Besides that the store is great.

I bought myself a drill with the intent of using it that same day to begin building my shed. It didn’t work once I got it home and charged up and I was pretty disappointed but I went back and got it returned and exchanged within 10 minutes. I can’t complain!

Im done shopping here. There was 4 or 5 employees standing around for about 30 minutes talking about drinking alcohol and not working then when I wanted to check out they acted as though I was interrupting them. The woman was so rude at the checkout that I left without buying anything. I own a Construction company and have spend thousands of dollars here in the past couple weeks but I will be taking by business elsewhere.

5 Star review for Jeremy and crew! I was just in and purchased a rough cut pull behind mower. Jeremy was super helpful. He also spent time with me in regards to care and maintenance. Everyone in the store was very nice. Its now my big toys for girls go to store!

Assistant Manager Bob seems to have better things to do than help customers on advertised discounts that arent being applied. He might take a lesson on how customers are the backbone of your business. Lucky for him the nice ladies at the register prevented us from just walking out taking our business somewhere else. If I could use zero stars I would. I went in there end of June to by a chainsaw. Got talked into buying a refurbished one. It stopped working an hour into using it. So I got another one got outside to truck that one didn’t work. Then I was going to buy a new one again and the guy assured me this refurbished one just came out and it’s going to work. I went to my next jobsite and it didn’t work. I wasn’t in the area for months due to work so finally I got back there. I was thinking it was just the pull start and would be an easy fix. Not true the chainsaw is garbage just like the service there. DONT EVER BUY A CHAINSAW FROM NORTHERN TOOL. I recommend going to a place that has a better service department.

I purchased a come along Friday from the Forest Lake store and found that they had put back on the shelf for sale a returned come along that was defective. There was no instruction booklet in the package and the item was unusable. I will seek to return it Saturday morning (June 21) and find a different store to buy the product. I will have driven over 100 miles to correct the problem. Certainly, there are better outlets for mechanical devices than this Company. A lesson learned. I will no longer put my trust is this store. Buy at your own risk!

Why would you sell a product that contains lead in the paint. If were really trying to save money by buying things that contain lead paint I think were on the wrong path. Charge us an additional 10 $20 for this and stop putting lethal products out to the public
