Professional and knowledgeable staff that aren’t pushy at all. Amazing selection of quality shotguns and many other firearms. Quite a selection of rental firearms for their small but convenient indoor range. I have enjoyed the purchase process several times and will return for more at this quality personable store.

Amazing customer service! Was having issues with a pistol locking up and they were so helpful! Informed staff, walked my inexperienced self through gun cleaning and actually cleaned one of my handguns to show me how to do it. 8 land 25 yd clean climate controlled indoor range. Something like 200 rental guns, and a surprising availability of range ammo caliber in these times.

These guys are by far the rudest gun store Ive ever been to.... A little hint guys,. Dont insult your potential customers as soon as they come in. I bought my first handgun here, a Glock 17. The saleman Steve was very patient and spent an hour going over different guns and options. He showed me how to safely handle the gun, load it, take it apart, hold it, and more. I will definitely be back.

Prices arent great. The employees are rude. They openly defy COVID regulations, and also allege that certain would-be dictators in the government mandate that you wear a mask - that great sign is displayed on their register. They inject politics into everything, and their range is not very safe. Spend your money pretty much anywhere else.

I wish I could give this shop a better review, but the first salesman who helped us was rude and short with us. Another salesman who helped us after we shot in the range was friendlier. I think your experience will vary a lot, depending on which employee helps you. Maybe this place is simply suited for the experienced shooter.

Customer service left much to be desired, staff was rude and unhelpful. Selection was average and shop overall clean. Also, I agree that business owners should be able to make their own policies. On the front door there is a long winded sign that pretty much says If you dont wear a mask we arent going to ask you to. Zero people in the store were wearing masks. That is fine but free market/capitalism works both ways. I took my couple grand I was going to purchase firearms/equipment and went down the road. Gun stores are a dime a dozen around here. With the staff attitude and the policies of the store, patronize a different more caring small business.

Unfortunately I cant give this place less than one star. It depends on the day wether you get good service or not from the main shop. But my biggest complaint is the gunsmith. He had one of my rifles for more than a year. He had it blued and put the barrel onto the gun and it took a year? Terrible terrible service. Also he over charged me on everything that I didnt ask him to do, He was going to mark the guns caliber on the side for Lord knows how much more if I hadnt intervened. I recommend going to see Ben at Liberty, Ben is much better at his job than the Rocky Mountain shooter supply Simp. never give this gunsmith the chance to even touch your gun.

Well supplied, inviting and informative staff.Just stay away from the Asian gentleman. The two star rating is specifically for him. Otherwise it would be 5 stars easy.Every second I spent with him was another minute spent with someone that made me feel like I was inconveniencing them, while trying to buy their wares.I was on my way out the door to head to Jax, just so I could speak with someone that actually likes their job. But another sales person grabbed my attention, and made me feel at home so much that I stayed, and bought the two firearms I knew I wanted before I had even walked in the dang door.It is ridiculous for you to make people feel like they are inconveniencing you, by asking you about your product.ESPECIALLY A FLIPPING FIREARMS SALESMAN.I will be back, but I will be requesting someone else’s assistance, no questions asked.

I purchased north of $7000 worth of items from here and unfortunately had all my ammo destroyed in a flood. Called back to get replacement values and call was cut short because the guy “had a customer” waiting for him. I shouldn’t have to start my call with how much I’ve spent with them...all customers should get quality service. Now I’ve got to decide where to use the insurance money.Lacking in customer experience and service.

Ive bought several items from this store, quality and customer service are always the same. Top notch! Tony (store manager) is the best. Hes patient and answers any question you may have. I would also recommend this business for any ladies wanting to take self defense or concealed carry classes. Tony personally assisted my family with a great point of contact which we were able to set up a basic self defense class for high school age kids. I wouldnt go anywhere else.

Love this place. Staff is knowledgable, friendly and easy going. They have an old school range out to 25 yds and a decent rental selection if you want to try before you buy. Definitely some of the best prices in town and if they don’t have it, they’ll get it for you pretty quickly.

I wanted this place to be great, because I work nearby. The selection is ok, but on the pricier end. What really ruined it for me was customer service. Three separate occasions, three separate people. Would not recommend to anyone.

Wonderful staff, helped me locate what I was looking for and had it in store within a week. I actually had ordered the firearm from Scheels in Johnstown and it had been 3 weeks and the firearm STILL hadnt come in. This was of course after I was assured at 10 days (NOT business days mind you) they would have it in store. I was able to get this same fire arm from Rocky Mountain in record time. Staff was very respectful and helped answer all my questions. I will definitely be utilizing this place for all my firearm/ammo needs in the future.

Ive been a customer for many years, and will continue to support this store. Not only do they have a great selection of quality firearms, the gunsmith does good work quickly and very inexpensively! I was looking at ordering a $100 trigger upgrade for my 22/45, and was pleasantly surprised when Gavin offered to do a trigger job for a lot less money. It shoots great now!They have all types of ammo, reloading supplies, safes, and optics. The staff are straight shooters (both literally and figuratively) and wont sell you crap you dont need just to make a sale.

I have been to supply stores all over thecountry and Rocky Mountain shooter supply has always come through as one of the best. I have experience at their in-store shooting range, pistol courses and the retail side of the business. Overall I have nothing but great things to say about the business. Everybody who works there seems to be very knowledgeable and passionate about their industry. They have an awesome selection of shotguns, handguns and rifles (whether they be new or on consignment) Ive found the prices are all comprable and reasonable. Hats off to the men and women that works here!

Billy and Will at the Fort Collins store are great to work with. Im sure some of the other employees are great to work with as well but my first hand experience is with these gentlemen. They know their stuff and took the time to answer all my questions and concerns before a purchase. Cody at the Cheyenne location is fantastic as well...he is one of the best examples of what customer service should look like.

Ive bought most of my shooting needs here. Every time was treated like royalty. The staff knows what they are doing, Prices are competitive. Buy here with confidence always a fun place to hang around. Heck the service manager Tony even let me pluck some chips out of his beard when I was hungry.

Whenever I go there to shoot its always hassle-free and the prices are reasonable. If youve been there before you can be in the front door and onto the firing line in 2 or 3 minutes. Its a basic affair but I think its the best deal going for a quick shooting pit stop in town.

I am not a fan of gun shops, they all tend to be snooty, gruff, unfriendly establishments. Rocky Mountain Shooter Supply is a notch above the norm, while still not exactly smiles and warm welcomes the staff is friendly enough to not feel weird and not as demeaning as the dozens of other shops I have been in. Smart staff, locally owned.The range is nice, small and to the point, but is usually clean enough. Good selection when the market isnt chaos.

I love this place. They might have the biggest selection of guns here in Fort Collins. Depending on the item, the prices can be a bit steep, but there are consignment and used guns here that have pretty decent prices too. Its really a pretty decent place to start looking for your next gun.

I love this store. Every time Im there the staff is incredibly knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. Being a woman, sometimes, you get overlooked in the firearm industry. This is definitely not the case at RMSS. The guys here have no problem answering questions no matter how lame you think your question is. I wanted to take a course for my concealed carry permit and ended up taking the basic concealed carry course for women at Rocky Mountain Shooters Supply. Billy does an amazing job, he really tailors the class to focus on women’s defense and concealed carry for women. This man has such a big heart and you can really tell he is more worried about women’s safety and knowledge of self-defense than making money. I also took the tactical class and would highly recommend them both for all types of women and men. You will become more comfortable with guns and defending yourself if ever in the situation. Be proactive and take these classes, you wont be disappointed!

So I have been in the store only twice. Both times close to 2 hours each. And the guys there (Jordan is the man!) were very nice, and helpful and really patient. I ended up purchasing a rifle and a pistol from them in the same day. I also test shot the pistol in their indoor shooting range. Its a really great place with great and patient people. I will be going back there again. And would and have recommend it to other people, whether you are a first time buyer or a pro.

What great service! Clean and well lit range. They made time for us to sneak in 30 minutes of shooting at the end of the day and I never felt rushed. They even helped with a jam in my collectors pistol.

I recently stopped in to see if RMSS carried some left handed rifles fit for shooting elk. Unfortunately, they did not have the exact rifle in stock that I was looking for, however they were incredibly helpful and made sure to go through all the south paw options available. Also, they talked to my girlfriend about the ups and downs of various 22 pistols she was considering. I walked out of the store not having bought anything, but I had an overall excellent experience, and I would without a doubt head back there to pick up a firearm or any of the wide range of accessories and ammo they had on site. Tony was especially helpful, and he was a refreshing break from the some of the brats you run into at box stores.

Took the NRA course today.It was a very worthwhile experience.We learned about handgun safety, the law, used the handgun simulator (very cool) and everyone fired 9 different handguns (provided).Mike and Will (instructors) were interesting, informative, funny, serious and helpful. Everyone there seemed to get a lot out of it. Students ranged from men and women who had never fired a handgun before to a guy who had several years in the military. Very much worth the money and time.I recommend it to anyone who wants to get a CCW permit or learn about handguns.Richard

One of the worst stores around. Employees are to cool for you and make it known. Their prices are extremely high. Range is small and hourly. Rates to high. Plus they didnt want us picking up our own brass. Their gunsmith is unorganized and super slow if he bothers to do your work at all. Store should be shuttered.

I used their gunsmith to remove a stuck screw from my scope mounts. He drilled the screw out fine but managed to drill into the bolt as well. I guess removing the bolt before drilling was too much work.

I am leery of the one-time, disgruntled customer review. I felt compelled to write a review based on a series of experiences. I have received both quality customer service as well as dismissive customer service depending on the visit. So, this is not to say it was all bad. My displeasure is centered around an optics problem that I personally did not have the knowledge to solve. I was basically wished good luck by RMSS and sent down the road with no help or suggestions on how to resolve the problem. I received this treatment on 2 specific occasions. I gave them a second chance because everyone has a bad day from time to time. I was later able to make a simple purchase and resolve the issue. I felt that, at least concerning optics, they were willing to tackle anything more than the norm and going out of their way was not how they did business.

Worst gun store I have ever been to. Cannot attest to the range, but do not expect to receive any decent help. Every time Ive been there the service has been horrible. Dont expect anything thing other than a yes no answer from the old men. There is a younger man there who actually is helpful but he does not make up for the others. I went in there with the intentions to purchase a pistol and walked out after the service I received. Good luck to anyone that goes in there.

Gavin is a fantastic gunsmith who is more than fair when it comes to pricing. He does quality work, and manages time efficiently. Much better than Bruce at Active Arms, in every way.

Great place to go and shoot your guns! A little unnerving if you are not used to an indoor range with multiple shooters. Definitely a fair price for used of the range, ammo, and even gun rental!

Customer service here was great, had a lot of questions about a few different arms, I was able to compare them side by side and they had a rental in the one I leaning towards so I could give it a few test shots. Very helpful staff, will certainly be back in the future.

If it were possible I would give this place less than one star. I went to purchase a gun that I had previously talked to the owner of the firearm about. He told me that it was mine if I made it to the store before someone else went in to purchase the firearm, since it was on first come first serve basis. Once I got to the store they refused to sell me the firearm because an employee of the store was holding it for a friend and wouldnt honor the first come first serve. I will never return to this place and will not be referring ANYONE here either!

Overall good store. Purchased a few firearms from here, and they walked me through on how to use them. The gunsmith helped me out with a particularly difficult gun problem, at no charge (being nice pays off really well). The one star off is due to the indoor range being charged by the hour instead of a one time fee. I recommend other ranges for that, however, I must admit that it is well ventilated and goes out to 25 yds.ADD: I took the CCW course here and it was great! Very good instructors and very accessible basic handgun training. From complete beginner to somewhat experienced shooters, good class to take.

Writing for my uncle but he dropped a ak-47 off bout 3 months before for a new firing pin. He finally got tired of waiting went back in guy hadnt even ordered it then made a big deal about he wasny gonna give back the rifle till he produced the tag that was barely readable. The point tho is he told us 2 weeks at the most. He was one of the worst gunsmiths and shadiest gunsmith I have ever had dealings or lack of dealings with.

Called today and some dude answered the phone. I asked if he has Glock 40 in 10mm caliber. He said let me look. Came back and told me I got some in 40 and some in 10mm. I asked again Do you have Glock 40 in 10mm? He sighed and grunted and answered I got some 40 caliber and some in 10mm caliber. This idiot didnt even understand my question. Not going to bother with this place. Bringing my business somewhere else.

My dad and I have been going to RMSS since I was a kid and weve established a great relationship with the staff. More importantly, theyre knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful, rather than the standoffish gun-counter commandos you get at most places. Selection and prices are both killer, and now that theyve gotten their SOT for the NFA toys (silencers, full autos, etc.), I dont need to go anywhere else. Indoor range is also a huge plus.

Went in to get some gunsmithing done (night sights fitted on a 1911 with a staked-in front sight) and was very pleased with both the price and results. Items in the store are a bit on the expensive side, but the gunsmithing was actually on the lower side of most others estimates.Online stock/ordering is great for getting the exact gun youre looking for - and their used selection usually has a few interesting items at good prices.The NFA services are as good as they can be. Buy exactly what you want online and show up whenever to do the paperwork.

Great place to buy or sell firearms from. Plus they tax less than most places because outside city limits. Decent prices on new and used guns. Gun prices are too high everywhere but they have the best prices in town. Helpful staff and most are willing to talk about guns with a friendly demeanor. With a 1 or 2 exceptions that were impatient. Indoor gun range is nice and not too busy usually. Prices are a lil high for range and gun rentals but they got to make money somewhere. At least they are usually fully staffed so help is easy to get. Knowledgeable staff throughout. Transfer fee are standard at 20 to 25 bucks. Ive shopped at all the places in foco and they barel win the best place in my opinion. The only down side is they have less space than liberty and so they have less displayed but they can order anything anyways. Not a big deal. #1 in foco overall in my opinion. If its really busy itncan get a little crowded as they showroom space isnt huge as liberty.
