I was absolutely shocked I havent been in a Menards in over 20 years if not longer. Had what I was looking for very good prices the only disappointment was the lumber way out on the outside and I just didnt have energy to run to get my 2x4s. But overall super nice

They seem to be getting more and more items every year to fulfill everyday needs.

Menards is my favorite place to go. They have a good supply of about everything. I never get out of there with out buying something and the people are very helpful.

What a fun plant center! I went in with my daughter; I came out with over $80 worth of plants of my own. Healthy plants.

Definitely has a wider variety than any of the locally owned hardware stores and the staff are as helpful as they can be. Ive not had any bad experiences here.

Everything I needed/wanted.

We bought a power washer 2 yrs ago that quit working correctly after 1 use. Last year, we exchanged it for the same thing thing and after 2 uses, the same problem with it happened. Tried to exchange it and the employee at first doubted that we had bought it there because they no longer carry them. Unless we had a reciept, they were unwilling to do anything for us, including exchanging it for a similar item of the same cost. Very poor service to not back up a customers purchase.

This store has a lot of great stuff but is frequently out of stock on the things I need. It can also be difficult to find someone to help you find what you are looking for.

We purchased 56 Cement Block. We were pointed to the wrong area too pick it up. We asked for help. No one was able to help us, or to find someone that could. We left out of frustration and just refunded them. If we need building materials I guess we need to go out of town.

The staffs knowledge of construction materials is very lacking. I attempted to order a storm window and they tried to sell me a deep casement window. The staff followed my 11 year old son and I around telling us that our masks werent proper. The cashiers were rude and inconsiderate.

We bought our Christmas tree today at menards. Somewhat limited supply but very good prices. Ive always had good experiences with the employees being very helpful.

Hubby needed assist with couple things. One employee quite rude, made no attempt to help him, said ask him (different employee). Im sure hed help you. Turned around n walked away. Seems they are only there to get a check.

I have in the store many times and know where most everything is located.Most of the staff are friendly. My concern is: if your corporation believes that masks need to be mandated and you require them in your store then the employees wearing them should wear them correctly. Your nose hanging out or under your chin should not be acceptable.Thanks Doug

Not very happy poor service, they were very rude to start with then told us they had all the material in stock but then didnt and delivered only some of the materials also the wrong material and damaged material.We had to take back the wrong and damaged material and then they want to charge us another delivery fee to send the right materials that they messed up in the first place! After this project will probably shop elsewhere for building projects.

I was in Menards Fort Dodge, Iowa today to purchase over $300 worth of shop lights and of course had to wear a mask which Im not fond of due to claustrophobic reasons. I had been throughout the store shopping with my mask down far enough that I felt comfortable breathing. I get to the checkout where cashier Billy confronted me that I wasnt wearing the mask properly. Who does he think he is??

Looked like zombie land everybody in their own world,asked where something was gal stated I DONT KNOW vs let me ask and find out,for being the month of December peoples attitude just wasnt their only person that sounded and seemed friendly was the cashier,maybe cause she was a elder woman hard to say but didnt wasnt in the mood to leave any more money than I did $5.36

They have what Im looking for and usually have more than one choice. I like the 11% rebate. Good quality stuff and groceries.

Shopped again at Menards over the weekend. Dave in the Hardware Dept was super helpful! I got the last self-propelled lawnmower with his help and for a great price! He was friendly and got me a cart for the item. Wonderful job Dave. I will definitely be returning for more great great service!I went to Menards quite late last night, about 9pm. Austin in the Carpet Dept. was a wonderful help! Got my carpet pad and three different sized rolls cut quickly and out the door within a half hour. Great great service Austin!

Very helpful to find what I needed

Always has what I need at good prices. Would be nice to not have to wear a mask tho.

Will no longer be shoping here. Was refused service for not wearing a mask when half the people there dont even wear them properly. Plenty of other places to take my business. Hopefully others will take there business else wear as well.

Who was ever manager of front end was rude you dont jump an employee in front of a customer

Went to get wood and insulation to side our house, went in, walked around the whole store, got to the back to get the paper so we could take it to the front counter to purchase the wood and insulation. Got to the check out counter and the lady says she is instructed to not check us out without a mask so i put my stuff down and left. Mind you I have already been inside all over without my mask, talked to the guy at the back counter who gave me my order paper. I asked the lady at the counter about people with health reasons not wearing masks and she said she was instructed to not let ANYBODY checkout without a mask.

Every time we visit this place we are reminded how much better every other hardware store is.The staff are either unhelpful or unwilling to help, regardless of which department you are in.The stores organization is chaotic.Their prices are hardly competitive.And specifically, their lumber department is so inconsistent re. measurements, it will make any project more difficult than imaginable.If this were not the only store in a reasonable distance for us, we would gladly never come back.

They didnt carry what we needed but truly enjoyed looking at so many things.

Menards is a great place to find just about anything for home improvement. They also have RIP-Its, a delicious energy drink that used to only be found on military bases. Only issue is that a lot of their lumber selection gets warped from the humidity, but I cant blame them too much.

The store is laid out in such a way that makes it easy to find what you are looking for. Most things are priced reasonably and they have great sales. The 11 percent rebates are great too.The only downside is that almost every time I buy sale items I have at least one item that rings up at full price on the register. I have gotten into the habit of using my phone to take a picture of the sale tag on the shelf so I dont have to wait for someone to price check the items that ring up wrong.Its a great place to shop, but you have to watch the register as the items are scanned.

Have just about everything you could want and a fantastic selection of plants.

I was kicked out of this store because I am a single mother of a 3yr old. I refuse to leave my child in the car unattended. I am a responsible parent and made sure my son touchednothing but the cart. I dont have family that lives within 500miles of me. There should be a time allowed for me to shop. This is the only hardware store in town where I could get machine screws that I needed to fix my sons tv. I feel like the store was discriminating against single parents who dont have daycare anymore..... Its too bad because I used to like this store but I refuse to shop here anymore. I will drive to Home Depot in Ames if I need anything in the future.

This Menards is super organized. Staff is friendly and helpful. The parking lot is a little small but accessible! The bathrooms are not the cleanest is my only complaint.

Love the store but the online shopping just seems behind the times. If I order something online that means I dont want to come in and search through the store for it which half the time they make you do.

My favorite store! Menards has a large selection of everything in hardware, lumber, home goods, gardening just to name a few. Love their 11 o/o off sales. Better than Lowes and Home Depot.

I find it laughable that Menards fort dodge is going to required masks on the 13th and you walk through the store and half of employees dont have one on ..

The staff in the carpet department, including the assistant manager over there were very rude and acted like we were bothering them when we asked for help, BOTH days we came in. We asked for exact measurements of 34 3/4 inches wide and they measured and gave us 44 inches, over a half a foot difference. Will not be getting carpet there again.

Greatest hardware and valued shopping store for miles around! Id say prices are by far lower then any other place! And they have wat u need always in stock! And online order where u can pick it up later and very convenient place to shop for electrical, plumbing, garden, doors floors, more.

Poor customer service skills in the deck dept. act like its a effort to help you. maybe Fort Dodge needs to try and recruit Lowes or Home Depot to put a store in Fort Dodge.

We stopped in REALLY late to check prices of things needed for a couple spring projects and I felt bad when i stppped a gentleman named Brent and asked if he could direct us to the sawzall blades since the one we have is for wood and not thick plastic or metal.He not only directed us to them but took us there and helped us find the ones needed for the project! He even said that if it doesnt work as hoped to come back and ask for him So he can help us figure it out twice.So Im leaving you a good review Brent. Keep it up and stay cute.

Most appliances are special order and delivery is to your driveway, not inside the home. They are not removing the old appliance and delivery fee is $100.

All we needed and more

My in laws were at the Menards in Fort Dodge getting what they needed for a couple projects. They needed some wood and asked for help with it and were informed that since it was inside the store, they wouldnt help him. He tried to explain that he couldnt get it on his own and he was basically told too bad, they werent helping him. Thats terrible. He served in Vietnam and farmed to support his family. Asking for help is not easy for him, but there are times he needs it. Then to be told no by store employees, thats terrible. Lets just say, Lowes thanks you.
