I wish there was a way to give an even higher rating than 5 stars. I was too busy curing my ignorance of higher-end footwear to get the name of my salesperson, but the receipt says Steve. The salesperson was welcoming, friendly, and extremely patient with my ignorance of nice boots. I now have the highest quality boots and now know the best place to get more if I ever need another pair. I cant thank you all enough for not only having great staff, but also for carrying a very impressive array of great boots. I finally feel like I have boots worth their price!

Third is a well appointed mens boot shop. They offer good advice, boast a great inventory, and have access to custom work should you require it (short legs, big calves, etc.).

Surprisingly, work boots arent all that easy to find in Ft Lauderdale. Thankfully, we found this place and they had exactly what we were looking for! Friendly and helpful staff, they were very knowledgeable about their merchandise. Highly recommended.

Stompers has been through several ownership changes in the last few years. Its a tough tough business to be in. China, et al. The current managers, a nice couple, know their leather and their manufacturers. No bargains here, but top top service. Worth a bundle in itself. They are competitive in the end. Trade here, you will not regret it.

I ordered a pair of Chippewa boots from Stompers Boots Thursday of last week via UPS Ground. They arrived yesterday, Wednesday [the weekend is to be expected] and are everything I could want in boots and a boots vendor. I would highly recommend them, and would love to buy boots from Stompers again.Bangarang yo.

Every imaginable kind of boots and no shortage of kink though not like the Broadway show. Hard to find styles and brand names including some real high end stuff but prices are fair and the help is real friendly and helpful.

These guys dont just claim to be the best boot store, in my view they are the best boot store! Ken and his team know their products, and also they know their clients and what they are looking for. Out of a small store in San Francisco they boot up guys and girls from around the world!I had a small issue with the delivery date of my custom Wescos, but the service I received far exceeded my expectations. Mistakes happen, and it is how they are rectified a company should be judged on. Ken measured my feet for the boots in store for me and I couldnt have been happier with them when they came - a perfect fit!

I am a big fan of Stompers Boots. They have - by far - the best selection of mens boots that I have ever seen in one place, in a variety of styles. Quality brands like Sendra, Wesco, Chippewa, Frye, etc means youre going to find something you like when you walk in -- which, in terms of your wallet, could be big trouble!They also have - in the back - a consignment section which is a great way to find a gem of a boot at a good value.Ive always had a positive experience there and Ken and the other employees have always been helpful, friendly, and worked with my budget to get me into the boot I was looking for.If youre looking for boots, no reason to look anywhere else. Thats why they have customers from all over the world.

I decided that I needed a pair of custom Wesco Boots. A dear friend of mine had purchased a pair of standard Wesco boots a few months prior and frankly would not shut up about them. I was familiar with the quality of Wesco boots but had decided I needed to wait so that when I made the investment I would end up with a pair of boots that would not only last me a life time, but would also be the envy of everyone I knew.Ken at Stompers guided me through the process and I picked all of the options that were perfect for me. Now that I have my boots I have a small problem, I am constantly having having to clean drool off my boots from anyone who sees them! mission accomplished!

These guys are great... until theres the slightest problem.On April 18th, I ordered Wesco Boss in size 7.5. Got an email very quickly from Ken saying they were out of stock but he would order them for me and place my order (i.e., charge my card), and that it would take about 15 weeks because 7.5 is a custom order. I wrote back asking if he had a size 7 because sometimes with these kind of boots they run very big. Ken immediately wrote back that he did and said hed send them out the same day and he did. I got the boots and they were indeed too small. Also, Id never seen the Wesco Boss in person and realized they were way too heavy for what I needed. So I emailed Ken and asked if I could exchange them for the Chippewa engineer in 7.5. He immediately emailed back and said Ill make the exchange.Thats when it all went screwy. So on April 29th I got the return UPS label from Ken and sent the boots back. Then I heard nothing........On May 16th I checked the UPS tracking number and saw that the boots had been delivered (and that Ken signed for them). I emailed Ken that day about the status of the order/exchange. Again Ken was very prompt in returning my email and said that the Wesco Boss 7.5 was a special order and would take 15 weeks. He said that they have placed the order with Wesco but that Id only been about 10 days so far. I thought something had been forgotten about my change in the order and wrote back that it was my understanding per our previous email that I could exchange the boots for the Chippewa. Ken wrote back quickly saying sorry and that hed take care of it.Then I heard nothing....So on May 23rd I wrote again to see if the boots had shipped and said that if not, Id like to cancel the order. Ken wrote back and said that he didnt know if they shipped, he was away from the store and regardless, I could return them and he would cancel the order.I again heard nothing else and on May 25th wrote back that if theyd shipped, great, if not please cancel. Ken wrote back and said he was in Chicago and that he have someone check and let me know.Nothing...So on May 29th, I called up the store and Ken answered. He said sorry and issued the refund right away... minus $20 for a restocking fee.Then on June 3rd, I got me refund completed minus 20 bucks.Considering that it took from April 18th to June 3rd to get anything done (after the very prompt initial sale), I would have expected them to wave the $20 fee.But what this is really all about is that the Wesco boots cost $407 and the Chippewa are about half that price. The boots are heavy and not cheap to ship. The Boss boots were shipped to me (in NY) and back to Ken (in CA) on Stompers dime. Then combine this with the fact that the Chippewa are half price and Stompers would have had to pay to ship them to NY also. And they would have to refund me the, roughly, $200 difference in the cost of the boots.They didnt want to do it and knew that if they dragged their feet, they would get me to cancel the order and recoup part of the initial shipping cost. In short, they would have had to spent too much on shipping for the cheaper Chippewa boots (after having shipped the Wesco boots twice).Either that or they just have crappy service if the sell is a little complex or time consuming. Either way, I would avoid.
