This is an interesting antique mall. It carries all the things you would normally expect to find, but given that its built in an old mill, it has a charm that similar places dont. Worth a visit if youre in the area for sure.

The people are really nice. I know place is 100 years old but it could use a good cleaning and organizing. Some booths had their items sitting randomly on the floor. Some prices were good, others not so much. Its still worth the trip

This mall is housed in an old sock factory. They still sell socks here. You will find all kinds of stuff. I once found a nice oil painting for a reasonable price. If you talk with the workers they can tell you a lot about the history of the sock factory as well as the area of Fort Payne which is one of the starting places for the Trail of Tears.

It was great. The burgers were juicy perfect cooking, great service, FREE WIFI, enjoyable views, great decorations, nice people and, smooth classic rock. In my opinion I think it was much better than a 4.5 star rating it was honestly a 10 star I highly suggest this place for a non busy relaxing place to eat.

Love to stop in, to reminisce of the old days . In the sixties and seventies it was a thriving sock mill . Where the kids in the neighborhood would run back and forth, to play on the bridge from the mill to the road. And climb down into the ditch and walk under the road to the other side. And not get in trouble for crossing the street. There was a phone booth on the corner. It was a busy place, where the same people worked every day from 7 : 00 until 3 : 00 and a whistle would blow. Then 2nd shift would. Each day was a routine. And everyone new where you were all the time. And looked out for you. This was the good old days. Parents didnt worry about the children, because everyone new Who You were. And if you werent from there, we new that too. But now its a good place to get lunch and pick up something for a friend. Stop in you will find it has something for everyone.

The Big Mill is the oldest & biggest building in Ft.Payne (built in 1889) and wonderful to just walk through and enjoy. The two stories of antiques and artisans make it truly a unique & fascinating journey back in time. Great deals too. Im a budget shopper when it comes to antiques and I ALWAYS find a great deal on something at Big Mill.

This is my 2nd time shopping here. I could spend a fortune here if I had it. Its like stepping back into history. But you need to be prepared for the fact that this is an old building and when its hot outside, its hot inside. So take your hand fan or buy one there. I found a whole bunch of pretty ones just like we used to have in church. I highly recommend this shop. There are some very inexpensive things and some expensive ones too. Yo Ou,:LL definitely find some things you have to have!

Well me and my boyfriend love to go picking. We looked yesterday for Antique shops in Ft Payne and we were excited when we found this one opened on Sundays 1-4, well at least that is what the internet has listed. We drove all the way from Birmingham to check it out only to find that is was CLOSED!!!! We waited in the parking lot untiil 1:30, along with another couple from Georgia, only to realize it is not going to OPEN on Sunday. In cases like this I think the owner needs to reimburse for GAS and TIME WASTED!!!! Needless to say I am really frustrated and would NEVER make another trip to this place!!!! Just a few ideas, place a sign on the door, update the internet or just common courtesy show up to work if your are supposed to be open, change the recording on the answering machine stating days open and times.
