A jewel of a coffee shop. Great service was the cherry on top of some excellent coffee and a panini. Worth every penny but not expensive at all. I was surprised at how inexpensive it was. I may never be in Fort Payne again but if I am this is my first stop. If you live in Fort Payne and enjoy coffee of the highest standard then go here.

What a cool spot (see what I did there). The coffee drinks and ice cream were great. I wish we had stopped in for lunch bc the menu sounded great. The interior is spacious with comfy seating and they had a pianist playing.

Love the decor. Its not perfect. Its a little quirky but thats what I like about it. They have well what any other coffee place has coffee and pastries. I highly recommend the pumpkin spice latte. It is to die for. The girls are very sweet.

First timer!! The young lady took care of my order because I never get anything straight from the menu. Once i told her how I enjoy my coffee. She said we can do this add that and it was perfect. Im not even sure what it was except frozen and extra expresso with a hint of vanilla.. it was perfect. Thank you

This is a MUST VISIT when in Fort Payne! The Spot Coffee Shop is a cozy coffee shop and bistro with booth and table dining as well as groupings of sofas and wingback chairs in which to relax. Cappuccino and Spiced Chia Latte were our drinks of choice and they were very delicious! The art work of local artists decorates the walls for purchase and as part of the decor. The Spot Coffee Shop is unique! Its NOT a cookie cutter coffee shop. Its SO MUCH BETTER than you know who.

I highly recommend the orange dream cream drink if you like orange cream soda. Super good. We came here twice in a week from out of town on business. The evening staff was super friendly.

Its a large space so hard to make it honey. Coffee was good and food was good. Watch out for that first step. Its a big one.

The Food and whole ambiance of this place is great. As long as you have ZERO mobility issues. Even if you do manage to get inside after tackling the horrid Stairs into the place, but then need to use the restroom, you’ll have to climb more stairs. The fact that this place doesn’t have at least a wheelchair accessible entrance tells me theyre not inclusive and would rather not have disabled patrons.

This place is hard to enter when youre disabled, but the staff and atmosphere are very friendly and warm. The milk alternative was a godsend for me. The staff did a great job of ignoring my service dog! It was nice to spend some time here. Will return if my travels bring me back!!!

When we travel we try to support small businesses. I chose this as breakfast spot based on our 3 hour travel stop plan based on the reviews and photos. We ordered a espresso-sorry our machine is out of order. Lets try a caramel latte we are out of caramel and cream will vanilla and milk do. Got regular coffee. Tried to order a egg cheese sausage sandwich o s mo sausage.

Ive been to coffee shops up and down the States and this is by far my favorite! Customer service is amazing. The drinks are very reasonable, but whats even better is the vibe. Its a big place thats somehow super cozy with fun and fascinating art hanging from or painted directly on the walls. I wish this coffee shop was in my hometown so could spend mornings and afternoons hanging out or writing. What I wouldnt give to have a few NaNoWriMi write-ins here.Anyway, super recommend!! This is an amazing spot. You wont regret going!

Awesome food with a great vibe. My favorite is the black bean burger! Love the americanos as well. If you are looking for a great spot to kick back open your laptop and listen to good music this is for you. The biggest issue, they seriously need to clean the air. It is so smoky inside you can hardly sit inside for more than 30 minutes. They apparently cook with no ventilation.

I was completely ready to be UNDERwhelmed. I had read so many glowing reports and couldnt imagine that it could be all that (I had NOT looked at any photos, however). Well, I highly recommend that you do the same : stop reading about it/looking at photos! STOP! INSTEAD, walk through the front door with no expectations 😂 (and, yes, theres plenty of space for kiddos and even highchairs 😉)

Very cool coffee spot. Im from southern California and it easily matched the hipster coffee shops of LA only without the attitude. Friendly service and good coffee though Im no connoisseur. I happened to be in Fort Pyne and was looking for a Starbucks but this popped up instead and its definitely an upgrade. Great interior decorations and art.

I really wanted a good deli sandwich but was disappointed. I dont like to complain in the time of COVID but they were totally out of chicken salad. Then between the time we ordered and the time they started to make our food, they ran out of turkey. The panini didnt taste too fresh or it was microwaved. On the other hand the milkshake was wonderful.

Update thanks for contacting me. I havent been able to get back down there yet but I am changing my rating because of your response. Thanks. Will update again as soon as I can get there to try another shake. I got a milkshake and it tasted like it had very little ice cream and a ton of milk so it was like a cup of milk with a tad bit of flavoring plus I asked for no whip cream and it was loaded with it

Well, as much I would like to give this place a sparkling review for its effort in trying to be the most edgy place in all of Fort Payne, AL, I cannot bring myself to overlook the sheer mediocrity of their coffee and fairly pleasant but not impressive sandwiches. I must admit that I do give them credit for being practically the ONLY coffee shop in all of Alabama. The employees were incredibly kind and the atmosphere was wonderful, but this simply does not make up for their dull espresso shots and rubbery eggs.

Me and my fiancé went there, and the girl with the colored pink hair, was so rude and was giving aweful looks. When she got done with the coffee she slung the drink at him and ignored him after he said thank you . I watched the entire thing. Had I stayed there any longer there probably would have been a fight. but the coffee is super good.

Great coffee. Funky little joint offering custom drinks, good food and awesome service. Specialty coffees and frappes are inventive and delicious. Pastries are a full serving and rich. If youre in Ff Payne drop by its well worth it. The girl behind the counter remembered my preference after the first visit. Awesome

I mean, the black coffee taste good, but the cups they use quickly changes the flavor. Within a half hour, my coffee taste like cardboard. My husband wasnt impressed with the french vanilla iced coffee either. He questioned of the vanilla was forgotten. Probably wont go back for coffee, but their food menu looked awesome.

Their chicken salad is superior. Highly recommend.

This place has such a cool and unique atmosphere! The staff were friendly and handled a group really well. The prices are actually cheaper than Im used to, but the drink quality was great! I had the honeydew bubble tea 💜

The pesto chicken roasted red pepper panini was DELICIOUS! The pesto has a delicious flavor and there is plenty so the sandwich isnt too dry. The roasted red peppers are perfect and the chicken was very flavorful! I loved it!

I really, really want to love this place. It’s funky, I love the space, it has a great vibe. They have my favorite brand of chai, they have almond milk, and my son is obsessed with the milkshakes.But the kids who work here cannot seem to get an order right, and it seems to apply equally no matter what day or time of day we go. No matter how many times we ask for no cheese, or almond milk, we get cheese, we get regular milk, or we get almond milk but then they put whipped cream on top when I didn’t know the drink came with whipped cream. I asked for iced, I got hot; I asked for hot, I got iced.Does their ordering/register system not allow for these types of specifics or are they just not paying any attention?Recently we came in and ordered breakfast, then sat for twenty minutes before being told that they in fact had no eggs at all. On another occasion, my boyfriend ordered a coffee with almond milk (it’s not out where you can just pour it yourself) then asked for some almond milk after getting the coffee, then we waited several minutes before realizing that for some reason, they were making him an entirely new coffee and making me a second one of the beverage I’d ordered. We were baffled.We’d really like this to be our regular place but we are pretty close to sadly giving up on ordering here.

Excellent coffee but a cappuccino is made with no more then 25 ml of espresso coffee and 85ml of fresh milk unless you want it strong then 50 ml of espresso and 70ml of milk a cappuccino must not surpass 120ml total.Would i go back to the Spot .....absolutely

Always been a decent coffee shop. I enjoy the vibe and atmosphere there it always seems really relaxed. They have a variety of drinks and entrees on the menu. You can usually get a good cup of coffee.

Love to go there with my small group from church and decipleship meeting. The sandwiches are good and so is the coffee.

We were just passing through town and stopped here for a cup of Joe. We wound up eating lunch and it was amazing!!! The panini were excellent and the coffee sublime with a bottomless cup for drip coffee. You need to try the sweet cappuccino.

I really liked the atmosphere, its a really cool vintage coffee shop. But the brewed coffee was mediocre and it was not hot. Maybe try one of their cappuccino beverages.

Four stars because its a great little place even though there were a few too many flies inside and the young ladies who waited on us totally forgot our drinks.But the food is great!Nice and quiet laid back environment with plenty of places to sit comfortabley.They even have couches! And nice music.Really neat little place to chill for a few if your just passing through or hanging out around town.

Stopped here to eat while driving and walking the worlds longest yard sale. I got the Italian panini and it was AMAZING. my friend got the Reuben. We were bit full after half a sandwich but I had to finish it- it was soooo good.Cool atmosphere and the shakes and lattes looked fabulous. Very good!

Best place in town. Love the The Spot frozen coffee thing, I dont care how many calories are in it. Worth it.Love how convenient this place is for a quick lunch but I wish there were other side options instead of the chips. Best part is they sell local artwork, so theres always fun stuff to look at.

Cozy little place. And prices are decent. Food and drink take a little while but it is totally worth it. Food is great and fresh and tasty. Highly recommend stopping by this place after a morning hike or drive.

Stopped for a quick mid-afternoon snack and loved it! The iced coffee was worth the drive to be sure, but the cheese french bread pizza was surprisingly good. Historic building adds to the quaint atmosphere. Ill be back!

Edited 6-23-21Apparently this place is under new management. This visit was the first in months as Im not in town very often. They were working in what looked like a catering order. I ordered 2 sandwiches at 10:30am, hoping for a quick easy, early lunch. They made about 25+ sandwiches for a catering order before getting to making mine. I waited like 15-20minutes for 2 sandwiches.... while sitting in the booth I noticed a roach on the chair, a other bug on the wall, other bugs about the place. Terrible experience. I have no desire to go back.Summer 2020My go to in Ft Payne for coffee and Panini sandwich lunches. I was kinda disappointed to see them pouring tea from Milos jugs instead of brewing their own, its not hard to do it yourself. Food is always good. Coffee is on the mark but a bit pricey, but what coffee shop isnt

The other restaurants in downtown Fort Payne need to take notes from this trendy little sandwich spot (no pun intended). GOOD QUALITY INGREDIENTS(!!) coupled with a varied menu and the ability to put those ingredients together in tasty creations is what it takes to grow and succeed, and they do an admirable job of that. It is an overdue great addition to downtown. It is a great meeting spot, too!

The Spot is a small town coffee shop with a great atmosphere. The drink selection is pretty good, and theres even a food menu containing sandwiches and snacks. The place has an old feel to it because of the buildings age, but it is also fun because of the decor. Local artists feature prints and originals for purchase. The Spot even has souvenirs for purchase. PS - if you purchase a shirt, you get any drink fo free!

Great place... Great food... Great atmosphere... Great friends! Food Service took a little long so if youre in there during busy rush time like lunch during the week be prepared to relax a little bit, other than that it was some of the best sandwiches and root beer floats Ive had in a long time :-)

A great little place to hang out in downtown Fort Payne!!! I am typically a LOVER of Starbucks French Vanilla Frappé +espresso. Got the Vanilla Freeze at The Spot and added espresso, I swear it was a good or better!!! Definitely a must try if youre looking for something to do in Fort Payne!!!

Stopped by to grab some coffee during Boom days and ended up returning for dinner! Had never been here before. The atmosphere was great. Coffee and food were wonderful. Will definitely be returning.

I highly recommend going here to study or just hanging out with friends. Me and my friends go almost every Saturday or at least once a month and we spend matters if hours playing board games. Playing the piano (that is there and free to play) And the food is. Amazing. Highy recommend. But the waiter was so slow. She even forgot to make my drink. I had to remind her over and over again. Over all a great place.
