Mike from the steel shop is a really helpful guy. I had no idea what kind of metal I should use and he was knowledgeable on what was best and cut the dimensions from what I gave and loaded it all within 5 minutes.Also, the dimensions ended up being a .5 off and he took it off my truck himself and made the alteration on the spot for no charge and was great about it. Helpful employees make all the difference and Im glad I was lucky enough to come across one when I was clueless as I was. So Mike gets a gold star.-Guy who works in the office at the steel shop is the only reason this isnt a 5 star review. You ask him any question at all and he says almost nothing and what he does say isnt really that helpful. For all I know he could be going through some personal stuff but his attitude was poor as far as customer service is concerned.

Prices high.....But I get that. Hard to compete with Amazon and Depot! But teach the rude, condescending staff NOT to act like they are doing me a favor by doing their JOB!!!That tude is why they are the dead LAST call on my list of hardware stores!

I must have met the wrong guy today. I read all the great reviews here a few days ago and was impressed. I decided to go see them. I called first and spoke to Kendall and he seemed like a nice guy, so today I drove over there. I went in the building on the right and was halted by an unfriendly loud mouthed guy in the office on the left who acted like I was bothering him. I told him I wanted to see Kendall who I spoke to earlier about a business idea I had. The guy had a ton of NO CAN DO negative comments about the object I wanted to reproduce and tried to discourage my business. He said You should just BUY one!. I told him I want to SELL these. We were going in circles. I was getting nowhere with this negative jerk and never did see Kendall. I was starting to get mad at him and did not want to lose my temper so I just left. Bad impression and disapointed!

10-10-18 I would have given less than one star if it were possible. I went to Apple Machine today to have something small cut out and the guy in the office on the left, as you walk in the front door, came out. I told him what I needed and he proceeded to tell me that it was too expensive to do. Instead of giving me a price, he basically told me that I should go buy something new then he started to go on and on about his taxes...blah blah blah. This is the second project where he has intercepted me at the door and told me that what I wanted to do was too expensive. Let me be the judge as to what I feel is too expensive but I didnt get the opportunity to decide because I was turned away. My job may have been small, but a lot of small jobs do add up. Not only that, but Fort Pierce is a small town and people talk to each other. I know I will be talking about my experience...big mistake.

Large selection, above and beyond customer service. They are very Military friendly. This is the way Hardware stores used to be run; and should be run, you dont have to spend time running around looking for employees to help you find things and these guys know there stuff. 👍

Last week Tom ordered a part in for me from another store. The part never arrived. Tom does his job in a way that makes the customer think they are seriously incoviencing him. He was supposed to have reordered it for me and I doubt that has happend(again its been days and he cant even give me the tracking number to see if its been sent yet). I honestly believe he must be related to the owner ...or Tom would be jobless giving this type of customer servics.

These guys will go above and beyond and take care of the customer very fair pricing as well my truck was down and they got me on the road the next day they will be getting more of my business.
