They were friendly, helpful & knowledgeable. Its a big store & i thought this is going to take all day but it didnt. Sometimes you have to look for an assistant at other stores but De guy was in his section & he comprehended what i was going on about. I got what i was looking for & got my project in motion. Ive been looking for a couple weeks for all De materials. That was pretty exciting. I nearly forgot something at De register but they made sure i was set to go w/all my belongings. It was a fun feeling.

My experience there was not that fantastic. I went there to get Windows and there was a lot of questions behind the counter from everyone that was supposed to know what they were doing. Long story short it required a lot more patience and I was ready for it.

I frequently go into Sutherlands to get garden, yard, and things to improve my house, but about a month ago I went in there to look for a Japanese Maple tree and this gentleman tall skinny grey hair (sorry I forgotten his name) but lead me to a great tree! Exactly what I wanted and 40% off! It beautiful and looks amazing in my back yard! Thank you so much for your help and kindness. I recommend Sutherlands for all your home needs!

I went for rail-tacks. I paid for 3 and they said someone would come help me load them. I was just going to grab the three off the top and be on my way. The employee said i could only take from the junk pile and attempted to load a broken one in my truck for some reason.... I said to the smoking man who had at this point rammed his forklift into everything but the rail-tacks that id just go get a refund. Turns put ace had them for less like a block away and they aren’t junk ties. Save your money and shop elsewhere.

The normal lumber store but also has a good garden selection. This time we went the plants didnt look as healthy as in the past. Could be because of the lack of staff due to the pandemic?I do enjoy the odd ball stuff they carry from garden trinkets to the different toys like the pencil stick helicopters that fly when you rub between your hands! I will go back.

Went here and stood in there for 25 min and was not even aknowlaged one time, because he was joking around with someone who plans to get building in the next 6 months.

Where to begin... I signed up for the Garden Club and went in Saturday for the Cleveland Pear Trees for $19.99, I was told by an employee they werent outside with the rest of the special price trees but in the garden center. I was even shown by another employee where they were. Both employees denied even talking to me when I went to the register and they rang up $37.99. I was given a slight discount to $29 each; I shouldnt have bought them after the cashier argued with saying yes they were the same exact tree but because they were in the garden center and not in the front of the store the price was different. I was also informed the Saturday soil special price was sold out, the store had just opened. I also bought $150 in lumber and asked for help loading it, no one ever showed up... Lastly, all employees need a name badge or Sutherlands branded shirt. You couldnt tell customers from employees.3 registers open, extremely long lines, 4 different customers around us had items that rang up wrong price... The gentleman in front of me had a plant with a $15 price sticker on it that rang up $50. The cashier argued with him saying he had to charge what the register told him, I believe he walked out leaving all his stuff.

I did love this place, until today. I’m in their Garden Club, and their plants are all mixed up and not priced accordingly which is fine-I asked a Manager to check prices for me and he told me the regular prices and then said they’d be 40% off. I wait in line for awhile (they are busy) and get to the front to be told no they aren’t and they cashier didn’t even check with the guy who told me, so I put most of them back. The fact that they don’t honor prices that a Manager says they are isn’t right. I will be going to Lowe’s from now on.

Website is very misleading. I clicked on the Ft. Smith store, searched for the items I needed, wrote down prices then went to get the items. Items were not the same price. Evidently when I searched for items the website gave prices that were cheaper from a different store in Ohio. Very disappointed in the service today. The man loading was courteous and tried to help.

If there is one thing to believe about the negative reviews, please believe that the customer service is dreadful. I will never spend another dime at this franchise, and I encourage others to read the negative reviews recently. I decided to give Sutherlands a chance as I was mostly unfamiliar with them after habitually shopping at Lowes, Home Depot, and Atwoods. My good intentions were not rewarded unfortunately. I live an hour away from the Ft. Smith store. On May 21 I ordered (and presumably reserved with payment) 30 bags of river pebbles to complete a back yard project. Several hours later I received an email notification stating that my online order was ready for pickup. I was unable to get to the store until the 24th. When I arrived, I was told that my order was not available as the bags of rock had been sold. This was after driving an hour to get the order that an email from Sutherlands state was available for pickup. The manager came and spoke to me and was gracious and apologetic and seemingly willing to help. He even offered to ship the product to my house, which I thought was reasonable and a great solution to the ordeal. Fast forward 2 months later, due to a vendor issue in which I understand the store has no control over, I still had not received the product. However, the Hot Springs location had 829 bags of the product 2 weeks ago and 746 bags of the rock today. Due to corporate policy, the stores are not allowed to transfer products and my order was cancelled after waiting 2 months and actually paying for the product. My money was refunded. However, the message I would like to convey is that this store has no interest in customer service and was not willing to go out of their way to correct a mistake that they made and would only correspond about my order after sending a message to the corporate office. I have never encountered an issue like this with Home Depot, Lowes, or Atwoods. Im sure on site purchases (albeit more expensive than the chains) are more than serviceable. Just know that if there is a mistake Sutherlands makes on an online order, they will not correct it. Please take your online business elsewhere.
