A cool art supplies store with a good assortment of products from a variety of manufacturers. Friendly and helpful staff were knowledgeable of the products they carried!
Guys in there are great. Nice place to go broke buying quality supplies.
Kind and helpful staff here. I came in looking for water soluble oils and the staff here were so welcoming and eager to help. They didnt have everything I was looking for and were out of many items but they are the only art supply store like this in town so it was not surprising.
Great selection. But I wont shop there until they do their own intelligent science research on masks. I did and with that information, I chose to NOT wear one.
I buy all my art supplies here. They really support the arts and give a 20% discount to students and teachers.
Great selection usually, but the staff can be extremely rude. Just dont ask any questions and you will be great.
Great shop. Needed something with a wider range than a Michaels or Hobby Lobby and this place filled that need. The employees are extremely friendly as well. Thanks!
I love supporting the locals! A fun place to find your art supplies! Everyone is friendly and helpful if you have questions. This is now my first stop for finding art supplies.
Kind & knowledgeable employees, & so many things any artist would drool over, (metaphorically) that michaels & hobby lobby dont have.
I worked with Frank and the Asel Art team to order art supplies for an event we had in Fort Worth. I appreciated the quick help, attention to detail, and great overall customer service. Asel made the process of coordinating from afar super easy and l look forward to working with this store to purchase art supplies for our future events in Fort Worth!
Friendly but kind of limited supplies and not a very aesthetically pleasing store--which is always odd to me since artists like to surround themselves with beauty.
Getting back to creativity!
I always absolutely love Asels. Everyone is so friendly and helpful. Over the last several years Ive been in there countless times and have never once had a bad experience. Their prices are great and you can most likely find anything you need!
Best art supplies store in town. Knowledgeable staff and an extensive variety of art tools.
Nice people. I draw and my wife paints. So we we were amazed at the selection they had . Need more art stores like this
A little expensive, but you can find things no other art supplies store has. I will definitely come back.
There is a wonderful selection offered here and the staff is very friendly. Its definitely worth navigating through the tight downtown traffic. I loved the pop culture references and contemporary feel. Its definitely a place marketed towards college kids, and they even have a student discount if you have your school ID card.
Absolute best place to buy brushes. The give such amazing discounts on some choice brushes!
The go to place for me for art supplies
I visited Asel art supply, a month back, at their Richardson location. I really liked the selection of art supplies there, they had all the latest ones. I found some which would be hard to find online too. The prices were competitive also. I wanted a sketchbook and a brush pen. I got what I was looking for, a not-so-great quality sketchbook. Which was exactly what I wanted, didnt want to spend a lot.I took my own time looking through the stuff and I got the feeling that the people at the counter were getting irritated by that. I got about $20 worth of things, as compared to the ones before me who bought stuff worth 4 times as much 😀. I liked the shop, will go again. Irritated salesperson or not.
I love a good art supply store. I especially like finding ones OTHER than Michaels and Hobby Lobby. I dont like big companys monopolizing on a market. This place has lots of choices and it is in the hip part of town (i.e. west seventh).
Definitely the best art supplies in the area. The pricing is a bit rough, but its fair since I know I can go there for the very best, or unique art supplies. 10/10 would rather visit than any hobby lobby or michaels or joanns or whatever. Looking forward to being able to buy more supplies in the future.
Quiet, well stocked, great people.
Best selection in town. Great prices. Staff is very knowledgeable and helpful. Super friendly.
This is a real art store with quality fine art supplies (very different than a big box craft stores). Also, the people that work here know their stuff and can help you with your projects. This is very different than the service you get at a big box craft stores that dont have a clue of whats in their stores or how it is used.
A little pricey not bad though for the quality of items. Large variety of supplies. Short on some stock items probably due to school year beginning. Associatee friendly and there willing to assist you
A great selection of supplies and a helpful staff on hand to answer questions and give advice. They give discounts for members, students, and teachers. I was able to easily get what I needed without spending a huge amount of money.
Been buying art supplies here since I was a young art student in the early 1990s. These people know their stuff, and the selection is amazing. This is NOT a bargain bin, but it isnt overly pricey, either. You get what you pay for, and I have never been wronged by the folks at Asel.
I always like stopping in to pick up art supplies. The staff is knowledgeable and I appreciate that several are artists themselves. When something is out of stock they make sure they get materials in a timely way. The store has a neighborhood feel that seems inviting.
I Came here for my supply for TCC which was very great. it was easy since I had the list of stuff I needed. The staff was helpful and great.
Great store. The parking is difficult because this area is busy, but good location. The staff are so sweet and helpful above and beyond.
Always my first choice when it comes to art supplies. They have everything you can think of and at fair price. Love this place!!!!
Just got some great help recently from a cashier named Elen (Ellen? Sp?). I’ve had trouble at some art stores in the past but I gotta say, she was very helpful, awake, and dare I say, impossibly attractive. Though it seems it is possible. Respect.
Friendly folks and lots of cool supplies. Ask them about some of the art they create and post throughout the store. Always a fun time.
They where very helpful and knowledgable in assisting me with my art supplies
The only art supply that has what you need in fort worth. Dont go to any other place.
I really enjoy going to Asel! I find the staff to be very helpful and knowledgable about their products. Every time I go someone asks if I need any help and when I do they take me (not just point or give me an aisle) exactly to where I need to go in the store even if its in different areas. And when I dont need any help or am just there to browse for inspiration they are content to leave me alone. There seems to always be some sort of sale on and dont mind giving me a student discount on top of a sale item. Overall pleasant place to be!
Good supply, helpful workers, but its definitely pricey
Nice place for premium art supplies. The staff is very knowledgeable and passionate about art and it really shows.
Great selection of supplies for the professional or amateur, very helpful staff who are artists themselves. Inspiring place!
The store clerks are always helpful, and more often than not I have struck a rapport with a couple. They always ask how my projects are doing and show me what they are working on :)
Fun to look around and theres a very wide variety, young and helpful staff, also in a good location
Caring staff, favorite is Ellen! Attentive and sweet! All around great place.
It is so good to see an independently owned art supply store! Their selection is great and staff is very friendly!
They are very kind ! But just make sure if your sent by your teacher to get supplies etc everything is in that bag, I had things missing but they fixed it right away.
Spring sale going on now. Great deals
Worst art store experience ever. Manager was incredibly rude. Prices were off significantly on 5 items. While speaking to my girlfriend the manager turned his headed and said under his breath Im done with this. He was rude to other customers while we were there and no one else on his team spoke up. Interrupted a customer who was speaking at the counter to tell them to be quiet, he was on the phone. Wholly unimpressed. Its amazing the doors stay open on this place.
The customer service there has never been excellent, but the past 2 times I have shopped it was so bad I am going to need to find another way to get large canvases, paint, and brushes. I dont want to relive the two visits again, but just thinking of it causes me anxiety. The attitude that customers are such an inconvenience is the simplest sentence I can write to describe the experience. One person wrote the service was helpful. That person was either an employee or maybe its just my experience. Maybe old women that shop there regularly are just a problem. Whatever it is. Im done until they improve their staff.
They have everything art related you can think of, whether youre painting or sketching. If youre drafting, I picked up my architect scale from this location as well as a 30,60,90 triangle.Asel art is basically the only dfw seller for my needs.
Difficult to find, but helpful and friendly staff. Better inventory than most stores.
I used to work at the Fort Worth location a little over a year ago and I was harrassed by an employee(Ethan Bowen) to the point where I was forced to quit. The manager, Mike Moffat did nothing to resolve the situation and I find him to be extremely incompetent. I no longer consider it to be a safe space since then.
Highly knowledgeable staff with supplies in all price ranges.
Hella nice and helpful staff!
This is my favorite store for art supplies. Everything from papers to canvases, pencils to paints, and plenty in between.Friendly and helpful staff.
Great place for art supplies 👍
Nice store and atmosphere, and overall selection. Parking can sometimes be a problem.
The staff was pretty helpful, but these prices are pretty ridiculous. I saw the exact set of prismacolor colored pencils that were $22 on amazon primenow marked up to $88 in the store. Thats insane. Litterally for 3x the price before tax, and I have to go pick them up myself. I think Ill be avoiding these stores in the future.
Nice grungy art place. Prices are ok
Just got charged an additional $65 because a cashier by the name of Ellen was on autopilot while refunding a portion of my order. Smh...will avoid this store in the future at all costs.
The best art supply store ever.
Always find what Im looking for
Great prices, great customer service, great products. I always leave with a smile on my face.
They were very helpful and friendly. I think I just found my new art supply store.
Great variety of excellent quality!
Better than the Arlington location. Parking is a bit frustrating in the evening.
Very good selection of art supplies.
The staff is friendly but often disinterested. They act like they are at the house sometimes, and not at work.
Super amazing store!
Good place to buy art boards
Lots of supplies in stock, especially if you have a supply list for a local class. Downside is that some things seem to have unnecessarily high markups.
They always have the stuff Michaels and hobby lobby dont. Staff is friendly and near TCU campus.
Anything you need they will have it
Very kind and moderate price
Always helpful and friendly.
If you cant find it here it either doesnt exist or they will get it for you!
I couldnt hope for a better local art store.
Anything you could possibly think of needing can be purchased here
Great inventory
They carry hard to find items.
Good service.
Dreamy

It was fandamntastic
