Frank is the bike mechanic youve been looking for! Extremely reliable and passionate motorbike mechanic with great motorbike electrical & mechanical knowledge. I walked into his shop with a bunch of after-market parts packages to have it mounted...1week later my bike is ready to roll, all fine & dandy! Very satisfied with the service. If you havent dialed his number yet, stop scrolling for further reviews, and reach out to him. No further bike-mechanic search needed!
Frank was extremely helpful and responds quickly to emails. Thanks to him Ill have my bike back on the road!
This shop is awesome. Frank is very professional. I was finishing up a trip and leaving the next day to head home, about 800 miles. I called and explained what happened, and he fit me in same day. He took great care of my bike and me. Very respectful and reasonably price. I personally belive he probably under charged me for a same day service and inspection, but he is a great guy. I highly recommend his business. Thank you Frank for your help it is truly appreciated.
This is a great shop! Frank gave me a quick and accurate quote, did the repairs amazingly fast for an incredibly good price, and explained all the work he did on my bike completely and answered all my questions with patience and friendliness. My bike runs better than it has in years, Im very happy with how nice everyone in his shop was, and will definitely return the next time I need repairs.
Great guy. Wish i would of found frank before i got over charged on my exhaust system from freedom power sports. Definitely will be back. Cbr650r
The man that answered the phone said he wouldn’t do the repairs to my motorcycle. His excuse was that they are busy. This is for services they offer and I wasn’t looking for a discount
The owner was very helpful. He took time off his very busy schedule to answer all my questions. Thank you Mr. Frank
Professional knowledgeable courteous family friendly environment with prestige service.
Got my bike back sounding smooth and mean weeks before I expected it back.
Got my bike inspected, quick and thorough.
Frank from Monkey Wrench Cycles is amazing. He is an amputee just like me, and he knew exactly how to make me comfortable riding again. Nancy is always pleasant to talk to and very courteous. Anybody who wants direct attention from owner and mechanic should come here. They are great at what they do. Thanks Frank and Nancy
Looks like a good little motorcycle shop. The owner is obviously good at working on bikes, he has plenty of business !!!
2008 Yamaha RoadStar 1700, Had an issue I could not figure out and needed help. I have never taken my bike to a shop, dont trust them. Frank had great reviews so I took a chance, he did what he said he would do for a fair price. My bike has never ran so good. I now have someone I trust to work on my bike. Thank you Frank.
Frank knows what hes doing. Hell treat ya right with no BS. Go see him!
Monkey Wrench Cycles did great work at a great price. Frank was awesome responding to calls or emails while my bike was there. Great experience, I recommend these guys for sure.
Real cool dudes! They got me in promptly and did the job supremely 😎 Ill be a Loyal customer for sure 😎
Frank installed some new tires on my Slim and she rides so smooth now. Thanks for recommending the Elites. Both Frank and Nancy welcome you and make you feel at home. Ill be back to this shop for sure.
First thing having a flat in Texas in the summer on a Monday is about the worst experience that you can have, now Mondays theres nothing open in the motorcycle world . Mobile tire repairs for motorcycles were all booked the tow company just wanted to play games so I was basically on my own. I found the monkey wrench cycles on the internet and I seen that it was open and then luckily it was 6 miles away, but getting it there was a big challenge . So Im mapped out the location where I was going to go I marked ever gas station around that I could get air and proceeded to head that way of trying not to ruin my tire .going from station to station getting air and put in it I finally made it there about to 3 hours later the guys are just amazing they took my bike in soon as I got there they seen what Ive been through and immediately found that it was my valve stem that had been compromised . The good thing is there was no hole in my tire bad thing is the procedure is going to be the same is changing the tire . So I went and sat in the cool air conditioned office and watch them on the video camera while they change it out and it just took a matter of minutes and I would back on the road . These guys took a bad and stressful situation and turned it into one that was much more pleasant there fast and courteous service was very appreciative and I would recommend this shop to any to have their bike worked on or just to stop by and swap short stories . Thanks again guys
Awesome place, first bike I took their needed a turn signal relay switch normally cost 50 something dollars. I didnt have much money so he ended up putting a $5 automotive relay in there and got me passed inspection. He has always fixed my bikes within my budget. The only fly in the ointment is hes always so busy theres a waiting line. Great place to get your bike inspected as hes fast and cheap.
Frank and his crew of motorcycle mechanics rebuilt my 1999 Triumph Legend back to its original state. They are true professionals and they can repair anything. I highly recommend them to work on my motorcycles.
Great service. Easy to communicate with, no intimidation or upsell. Frank seems very down to earth, does quick work and has good prices. I wouldnt take my bikes anywhere else. Just had a little maintenance done and the bikes ride So much better!
Went in today to get new tires installed on my V Star Tourer. It was my first time there, but I still felt like I was treated like an old friend. They got my tires mounted quickly at a competitive price, and no noticeable scratches on the rims :-). Bike rides smooth.I dont like letting anyone else work on my bike, but Frank and John (hope I got the spelling correct) made it a good experience. Thanks!
My Vulcan s just received it’s first service here and I couldn’t be more happy. I called several Kawasaki certified dealerships and they all wanted $150 - $300 for the first service. I feel blessed to have such an honest mechanic near by, thank you monkey wrench you’re a godsend. I’ll definitely be back.
Frank was fantastic. An excellent job of fixing my motorcycle he got it running great and in top shape some of the hard to find parts like the fairings he took care of for me monkey wrench cycles was fantastic
I had an 08 Kawasaki Vulcan Custom a while back (first bike) that I had to get the starter fixed and was recommended this place by my brother-in-law. They did great work, including searching for the best priced starter and all i had to do was buy it. I continued my business there and, as I was (or am) a newbie, I constantly asked questions and advice and Frank willingly spent hours searching and providing answers for everything. When I got my 07 Kawasaki Mean Streak, I took it in to get the exhaust worked on as the baffling makes it very quiet. I asked for a rush job constituting a lot of work and Frank got it back to me in time. He and Joe did a fantastic job on it and it sounds amazing.
Good people good work but the wait sometimes can be ridiculous when they are busy make sure you have a second motorcycle garage to go to just incase other then that this place is my go to for my bike
Excellent work!! Excellent customer service!! Excellent price!! If you have 2 wheels and a motor you need to go here, Frank is an excellent and honest mechanic (didnt know they had those). Let me watch and ask questions while working on my bike, just a true motorcycle enthusiasts!!! I wouldnt go anywhere else when it comes to motorcycles and whould refer anyone who has one!!!!
Very unprofessional over the phone. Tried talking over me, and go around the conversation that was at hand.
Awesome people awesome customer service awesome price I highly recommend it
Frank was very prompt and respectful. I would definitely recommend him and will be going back for any further repairs or modifications.
These guys were awesome. I needed a new tire put on and my chain adjusted. They really put the customer first, and I say that after having dealt with a lot of motorcycle shops that well... the customer isnt first, second, third, or anything near there. These guys are friendly, knowledgeable, and didnt try to pressure me into purchasing anything other than what I stated I wanted. Ill definitely be coming back. I own a 06 Suzuki GSX-R 600.
The owner and young lady in the office were very friendly and attentive to us while we were there getting our motorcycle inspected..love their service .would recommend them to everyone.
Had my bike here for a while and all my encounters with the shop were positive. I had a lot work done over a few months (was in no rush to have it done) and was told everything was going well. Finally I am told it will be ready by this date, as thats when I will be in town to pick it up. I get a call a few hours before I arrive saying its not ready and there are more charges for work I was not informed of. Ok it needed the work so I pay and take the bike unfinished. Since then have looked into some things and my carbs were put back together improperly and the coolant reservoir was missing along with most of the tubing to it. I would not recommend the shop as it seems like some of the simple things were overlooked by a mechanic with so much good hype on google. I wouldnt trust the shop for even basic maintenance after this experience.
I called with an issue regarding my 2007 Zx6r not running and I believe I spoke with frank. He was extremely kind and was actually trying to help me out without hitting my wallet if I didnt need to. He just told me over the phone to check a turnover switch which ended up being the problem. Didnt cost me a dime and I will definitely be bringing my business here. Theyre good people.
Took my tires to him to put on rims and even though obe tire just wouldnt air up, he charged me VERY reasonably to air up the one he did. Service was fast and he was super helpful! Make sure to check these guys out.
Got to the shop a little closer to closing, but was not turned away. Awesome family run business with awesome prices. Would highly recommend to someone needing to take their bike to a shop.
I stopped at Monkey Wrench today for the first time.... So I have limited knowledge of this shop. The owner Frank is the real deal, a true mechanic /tech. with mutibrand knowledge and skiIlset.Iwas needing advice on issue with my Harley and learned more from him in no time flat, then I had in half a day with others. He took the time to listen, and gave solid advice.. today he did not make a dollar off upme...... In the future when I do have a dollar and need for excellent motorcycle service you can bet were my ride is going....
First went down the road to Choppers and was yelled at by the owner there for asking questions regarding my bike. Went to Monkey Wrench Cycles, instantly was treated with respect and even given a discount since i had already done previous work and just needed a professional to finish the job. Ill take any future work to him.
Was concerned about sound from my motorcycle, so took it to Monkey Wrench. They checked it out and found nothing. Eased my concerns. Good group of guys. Will take my bike back to them with confidence if any repairs are needed.
Good service. respectable people. Dont trust allot of people touching my bike, but here I have never had a worry.
Thanks Frank for the awesome clutch replacment my bikes shifts so much better
Very informative and customer service is great. Put motorcycle in not knowing what was wrong and expecting to spend a fortune but they are taking care of everything and reasonably priced
Ok. This place is awesome. I was recently in an accident, and my R6 took on a lot of damage. I will now be going to this place if I ever need anything again. They treat you like an actual human being and not just a customer. The work they did is incredible. The bike now runs like its brand new. Thank you, Frank and Nancy!
Ive been coming here for various repairs on my Honda Shadow and the people here have been honest and good with prices. Recently came here with a busted fuel pump (That was thankfully warrantied) and I decided to replace my side panel. Unfortunately, I wasnt expecting the price to be as high as it was. ($320)While it did help and I now have a compartment for tools, I would rather have had that money go towards a new seat if it was gonna be that much. I trust these guys, but couldve used a heads up. (Id rather my bike be running than look pretty)Aside from that little incident, I like this place as its been honest with me and have been given advice for certain issues. (Found out I didnt need to use premium for gas)
Frank has always done a wonderful job taking care of my bikes. I have and will continue to trust him with all my repairs and servicing needs. Thanks Frank.
Called twice about bringing my bike in for work. I dont have a trailer so they offered their service to come get it. First call they advised they would call the next day. They didnt. That next afternoon I called and they scheduled pick up for 930a this morning. No show, no call which left me hanging. Im glad they have so much business that they dont need me. I decided on another shop while on my way to find out why I had to work so hard to get MW to take my money.
Good people. Good service. Give em ur business
Frank is awesome. Take your bike here for any work.
Frank is very nice and knowledgable. Hes offered up plenty of free advise which is much appreciated. Prices are fair, and you know they arent going to gouge you. Id bring my bike back here without a doubt!PS. - If you happen to ride a Buell, Frank may be your new best friend.
Cant believe I forgot to review this.Frank is the best mechanic Ive been to, and the only one Ive gone to for the last several years.
These guys are friendly, knowledgeable, really good at what they do, honest and fair. What more could you ask for? They are awesome!
When i called monkey wrench cycles to put on my tires on a honda cbr they already gave me the cheapest price out of every one in the north side of fort worth i thought the drive was alil out my ways but went there on the priceing alone not only did they do a great job they charged me $10 less then the original set price its was worth the wait and worth the drive monkey wrench cycles is the real deal they now have a new forever coustomer thanks to all the nice awesome people at monkey wrench cycles keep up the great no! AWESOME WORK! THANK YOU! i will be seeing you guys and girls again hopefully not soon cuz that will mean something went wrong with my bike but if it does i know i have a good moto shop to go to.
Frank really knows his stuff. Highly recommended.
Ive been going to Monkey Wrench exclusively for about 4 years now. It all started with the installation of a tire I didnt even buy from Frank. No shop around would install it because either I didnt buy it from them or my bike wasnt a Harley. He asked me to let him price the tire next time and his pricing is as good or better than mine, so he has been furnishing my tires ever since. This last service was on my 2013 C90T BOSS. Not a common bike on the road and nothing like the older model C90Ts. I got a valve adjustment, oil change, plugs and front tire for $610 out the door (I furnished the plugs and oil). Note: Frank doesnt like to send a bike out the door with dirty oil, so either you change it prior to the service or let him do it.I dropped the bike off on Friday evening and it was ready to go Wednesday morning.I trust Frank so much now, I dont even ask how much, just when can he. Now, maybe after he finishes rebuilding the 2009 Spyder he has in his shop, I will take my wifes 2008 Spyder to him. :)
Fast friendly and a little bit cheaper than other places
Frank is the man, doesnt overcharge, and consistently works well to get your ride back on the road.
Ive had occasion to use Monkey Wrench several times for motorcycles and scooters, and have always been pleased with this shop. I think most telling is that I live 45 miles away in Richardson, and choose to pass probably half a dozen dealership shops and who knows how many independant bike garages getting to MW. His turnaraound times have been great, and his prices fair. As they say, good work isnt cheap, and cheap work isnt good. Id highly recommend this shop.
I would trust Frank to work on any bike. He is very knowledgable, has extreme work ethic, and one of the most honest people on the plant!
Brought my GXSR 1000 to Frank at Monkey Wrench, he did a outstanding job on the new mods that where installed. Will Recommend
Had a problem with my scooter for a year now, kept getting ripped off by people who tried to fix it. Wasted hundreds of dollars trying to get it fixed but took it to Frank and he had the problem fixed in a couple of days, and I was incredibly happy with the price. Couldnt recommend this place enough
Frank did a great job on my motorcycle, Im glad I found an excellent motorcycle mechanic so close to home!
Very knowledgeable and exceptional good work on my husbands 2003 Suzuki 1000.
Always friendly reasonable prices.
Monkey Wrench is a great place to have your motorcycle worked on. Frank works on just about every brand of motorcycles, and is one of the few places around that you could trust for your Buell motorcycle repair.I own a Buell and a motorcycle shop. So why would I review Monkey Wrench when I owe a shop? That’s because none of my mechanics would work on my Buell anymore. After the third gear self destructed (or died due to some spirited riding) I took my Buell to MW to have gear box along with the engine rebuilt. The Buell came back better than new! It shifted better than new, and I mean better than new. I’ve owned over 50 new bikes, including many Harley’s and the un-names high $$$ bikes from across the pond. This Buell shifted better than any of them. Shifts precise and never missed the second gear! I ask him if he used any special parts - he just replied that he used stock HD parts and a lot of special care along with his experience that goes into all his tepair work.Frank definitely is a rare and dying breed of mechanic out there. There are some master tech MMI top dollar mechanics out there and there are some “parts replacer” mechanics out there that could charge $20/hour. If you want your bikes done right at a reasonable price, Monkey Wrench is the place to go.
This is an amazing place to take your motorcycle, scooter, bike, etc. These people are so kind and the prices are very competitive. I would dare say that this is the best place in the DFW metroplex to get what you want done complete in a very satisfactory way. I love their honesty and friendliness. The last time we took our bike in, there was no charge at all. I do not think it would have been like that had we gone somewhere else. We bought our bike at 360 PowerSports. It was a brand new bike. We had it for less than 2 weeks before something happened. They (360) charged us quite a lot to fix it and then it broke down less than a week later. We decided to take it to Monkey Wrench. We are so happy we didnt take it back where we purchased it. Good luck to all of you. Happy Biking!!
I asked the owner to take a look at my bike, and he stopped what he was doing...And gave me his undivided attention.
Frank and his team brought my 83 Nighthawk back to life. Excellent work and very personable. Thanks Frank!
Frank and his crew have been great! I have never been disappointed in the least from any service I requested. The man came to my work site to service my bike! Good prices and excellent work with attention to detail. From my 250 cc Chinese scooter to my 500 cc Buell, to my HD xl1200c, they have always delivered exactly what I needed and done so in a timely manner. Kudos to yall!
My 1996 Road King blew its main cam bearing, which caused a ton of damage to the engine. Frank convinced me that the most cost effective repair was to use the Harley factory rebuild program. Monkey Wrench handled the entire process and all interaction with Harley. I contacted Frank after the initial break in to ask why the low RPM throttle control was ‘jumpy’ and why my MPG was around 30. They modified the carb and now the bike runs fantastic. I highly recommend Monkey Wrench to my friends who ride.My 1996 Road King blew its main cam berring
Family owned and run, immediate assistance, will stay long hours if necessary, gets the nicest cycles
Great commuincation and service. I know my bike will always be in good hands when it needs any maintenance.
Frank works on all our bikes in our group, Great Service Every Time
Very excellent work in my kawasaki zx6r I recommend them
Good people, straight up. Would bring my bike here to get it worked on, and Ive bought a bike from here.
Great customer service. Ill be back every time.
Best shop Ive been to! Quick and honest, and reasonably priced.
I took my bike to monkey wrench cycle. they were paid 300 to drain my gas tanks and use rust inhibitor and clean the carb. When I picked u the bike that sat there for 2 weeks, i was told the rust remover had to soak for 2 days. I picked up the bike and got less than 7 miles. My bike spit and sputtered as bad a when I took it in the shop. I tried to blow it out and get past what was caught in the carb. It rained 4 days strait. When I went to ride the bike I turned on the petcock and fuel rn out of my overflow. it was pouring. I took it to my local shop and asked what was going on. They checked it out and showed me the sludge they pulled out of my tanks. they said the sludge was built up well over a year and no way in 2 weeks could that happen. the oter shop(monkey Wrench never drained my tanks or removed the rust. maybe they flushed the carb, it did run 7 miles. they charged me $300 and 2 weeks fr a job never done. I am a lady rider and it is so screwed up to be ripped off when you pay $300 for a job a shop that actually did the work did for $132. Shame on you. So if you want to pay for a job never done, go to monkey wrench. They have no problem taking your money and lying about work not done. RIP OFF>>>>Yes i could have taken it back but if they did not do the work the first time, they werent going to do it the second time. So buyer beware. Just take it to Darrells the first time and save $170 and get it done right the first time in 5 days. Shame on you Monkey Wrench.
Frank is your guy he gave me a reasonable price and he took care of my bike wouldnt use any other shop.
Great customer service absolutely unbeatable prices
Contacted them through their web site about having my motorcycle repaired and never heard back from them. They stated to wait 48 hours for a reply and its been over two weeks. Anyone else know how to work on old SOHC CB750 motors and transmissions?
Great service and ultra reasonable pricing!
Went for help looking for parts didnt hesitate to point me in right direction, going back to get inspection
Everything done fast and correctly highly recommend
