We had a miserable experience with Nix when we needed to replace our front door. They did all of our doors and windows when we built our house 8 years ago and they were great. But this experience was horrible. We completely understand the delay in getting the door and the glass. That wasn’t the issue. We had many calls that went unreturned and the installation process was a nightmare. The door was dinged all over (which they promised to fix but still haven’t), glass was wrong, and the installers were unprofessional and did not know how to install the door. When it was finally installed, they added no weatherstripping to the door or window. It took 2 additional trips here to get all of the weatherstripping. I reached out to the customer service manager who said he would get back to me at the end of the week. Of course he never responded so a month later, I emailed him back and told him not to bother at this point. I would NEVER recommend them for anything, especially since the customer service manager can’t be bothered to deal with issues.

Poor customer service for home security. Our new build home came installed with a Nix panel so I reached out to set up a security system. We went back and forth via email and I was finally given a scheduled date and then they didn’t show up as scheduled . I reached out to let them know no one showed up and they responded that I was on the schedule and they would look into it. Well I didn’t get a reply back so I sent another email the next day and their response was the tech left early and they didn’t know. I asked to get rescheduled the next day and he never responded nor did they ever reach back out to reschedule . Honestly any other home security company would be better to communicate with.

The technician was very friendly and made sure he understood my concerns and needs before starting. Then he explained what he was doing and the issues in order to correct the problem.Most importantly for me is he was communicating information to me all while presenting a happy and friendly face. Thank you

Poor Customer Service. Unprofessional. Called about two weeks ago asking to get some TVs mounted and to confirm I was on a wait list for garage automation. Left a voicemail but never got a call back. Guys came out to install home security but forgot to leave a Protected By sign. Left that on the voice mail as well with no call back. Called previously with some help on information regarding receiver specs was told I would get the information and nothing. Asked the security installers about it and said a manager would contact me. Nothing. Would recommend looking elsewhere for services. One of the worst customer service experiences I have had.

I have been reaching out to them for 4 months and I just heep getting Ill have someone call.you back or and email stating Ill check into that and get back to you THEN GHOSTED! Not worth the headache. Im sure theyll get around to calling me once they realize Ive turned my credit card off and they want money. Their customer service is trash and Id give 0 stars if possible.**UPDATE**I reached out to Mr Allison and he remediated the issue immediately. Thank you Mr Allison for your hard work and understanding about the situation I have updated my review from one star to five stars based on this interaction.

Customer service is horrible. Cant get ahold of anyone in hardware or automation. Then when you do they schedule appointments for then never show. So have have to call and go through the process all over again. Had problems with them from day one. Would not recommend them to anyone.

If I could leave them a 0 star I would. We ordered 3 doors on June 10 and it is now August 25th and tgey are finally delivered. However the rating is not based on the delivery but the fact theat they constantly lied about delivery, production, installation and delivered the wrong door in the first place with all three doors having no Jams. I was lied to by Charles, Mellissa, and Brad. Please find yourself a honest company that you can trust that you will get what you paid for.

We are going into our 10th year in our home that we had custom built. Our builder had used Nix to supply a beautiful 6 panel Mahogany front door. I am not a current customer and only a prior customer by default (through my builder). Yesterday, June 3, 2020, I had reached out to Nix Door and asked if I could borrow a front door while I resurface the finish on my existing door. Without hesitation Greg had asked for a few measurements, hinge locations, bore for the latch and the size of the door. He let me borrow the door for as long as I needed it for.So after about 10 years and using a marine spar varnish on my Mahogany door and completing yearly door maintenance. The door has very minor cracking at the seems and a few on the raised panels. Those cracks are about 1/32. If I hadnt used a substandard top coat two years ago I wouldnt have had to remove the finish at all. The door faces the South West (almost the worst direction for any door). My Mahogany door still looks amazing after 10 years from Nix with the exception of the minor damage from the sun. After this finish I expect to get another 7 - 10 years out of it. If not Nix Door is where Ill find our new door.Talk about customer service. Something that has seemed to have disappeared from many companies. But not at Nix Door and Hardware. Greg quickly called me back even though I was not a customer and I wanted to borrow a door from them. As a potential future customer, this speaks volumes as to what the staff are like at Nix Door and Hardware.Oh and I was expecting a hollow core door. What I got was an actual exterior (really nice) door. My wife was more at ease knowing that the temporary door has the same security as our actual door.If you are in the market for doors, windows, sky lights, fire places and door hardware and I thought I saw cabinet hardware there too, you really need to check them out. The quality looked from upper mid range to high quality, depending on your budget.Thanks again Greg and Nix Door.Here is an update on the refinished door. As you can see, the door is still in immaculate condition after almost 10 years. Keep in mind that I performed regular maitenance on the original finish. But being that the door faces the Southwest the sun will be brutal on any door. Most doors may only make it 5 years.This is a great testament to the quality of material and cratmenship that goes into the products one can find at Nix Door.The photos are of my reserfaced, almost 10 year old door, that I finished on June 15, 2020.Thanks again Greg and Nix Door.

Our regular remodeling guru (that we still love) quoted us $1050 for a new door including installing a new dog door. We got the same door from Nix, the dog door installed professionally, and saved over $400! Not only that, but the Nix installers told us to put the old door up for sale because of the high-end almost new dog door in it. We did, and got $450 for it! Win-win all around. Fast, professional service at a reasonable price. Were thrilled.

I have worked with Nix Door for many years. From start to finish they are incredible.Angie is awesome to work with and always helps with picking just the perfect door and hardware. She is so helpful with with my scheduling needs to get the install just when I need it.My mother used them back in the late 80’s - 90’s for her home building business. Three stars because my fireplace did get repaired. It took 3 trips before it was repaired. The technician forgot his tools on two trips. He had to get into my bathtub to repair the bedroom/bathroom fireplace. He must have remove the shoe covers because I had dirt and grease all over the bathtub. He didnt bother to clean up after himself. GREAT!

Bought new home with automation installed, it is a joke. Plan to disconnect and change to something else. TV always delayed when turning on and turns off and back on, rep said it is shaking hands???? We can NEVER turn off the TV with C4 remote we have to use TV remote. Switch they installed for ceiling fan will not work with app or remote. Surround sounds does not exist we just have four speakers turned on. Can light flicker if dimmed. Nothing operates as it should.

I definitely recommend Nix Fireplace. They have gone above and beyond to install and insure it is working properly. Ben, the gentleman doing the work was clean, friendly, took extra care of my home and completed the job. He was on time, courteous and took care of business! Thank you Nix for a job well done.

Nix is a great company to work with. They do all my exterior doors, fireplaces and low voltage and door hardware on my new construction homes. Ben always does a great job getting me taken care of on my fireplace installs, Chris and his team do a great job on all the low voltage.

Ordered a glass door for our fireplace. NIX employee installed and it was too small. They left the glass door stating they’d come back to switch it with the correct size. Husband had to keep following up. We took it out and returned it for a refund. Manger could care less why we wanted a refund. $500 worth of business.

Im a GC and will not recommend or buy from Nix for my clients or myself anymore. Tried to order a matching door hardware and sent pictures and called Karen several times. She said no problem and she would get it ordered. Called back two weeks later. Karen told me she couldnt order the hardware because Nix didnt have their showroom set up yet to order from this manufacturer. Asked why she didnt let me know. Said she lost my contact information. I emailed the owner. Said he just googled my company name and found my number. Told him Karen was very unprofessional.Another of my clients went to their showroom and picked out hardware for their entire house. I ordered on 2/5/19 and talked to Brian and Justin. Told it would be ready for pickup in one week. Called on 2/13/19 and said order not in. Called on 2/20/19 and told not in. Called on 2/22/19 and told not in. Asked for them to check when it would arrive. Said they would call back in an hour. No call. Called late in the afternoon. Justin transferred me to Karen. She said would in on 2/26/19.Emailed the owner and stated my one week order is now a three week order. No response. Called on 2/26 and talked to Justin. Order still not in but he would check and call back. No call back. Called on 2/27.No order. Called on 2/28. Told it shipped today. Couldnt tell me when it would be ready for pickup.Now you know why I will steer all my clients to other vendors. Nix sales people are unresponsive and very unprofessional, including the owner.

They are not who you want to use! Just aweful experience and nobody there even cares about the customer!My custom window was broken so I had to have it removed from the frame and I stalled the old fashion way with caulk! Thank god I gave knowledgeable framers.

I love the fact that this business has the quote doing the job right. We have tried several times to work with this vendor on correcting our fireplace. I left Diane Nix (the owner) 5 messages in one day and never received a return phone call. Our builder chose this business to install our windows and our fireplace. While we havent had any real trouble with our windows, the fireplace is a safety hazard and they refuse to do anything about it. She says since she had someone come to our home a couple of times they have done all they need to do. She also told me since it was tagged they did their job correctly. It was never tagged because we live in an unincorporated area. I just confirmed this. I had my attorney call her and she never returned his call either. Thats enough on their bad service, now lets talk about the fireplace.The fireplace was sold to us as we would not need a chimney because it was a new type of fireplace. When ever you turn it on, you can smell gas through out the house. I advise stay away from this business and also stay away from these types of fireplaces. She says she can fix it, but it would cost me thousands, well I am going to spend my thousands with a more reputable business.Stay away from this business!

The missed the first appointment to come measure our doors. Nobody called or let us know. Changed prices on us for installing from one person we spoke with to another ( Richard told us $150-$175. Greg told us $550).Someone finally shows up to measure the doors. They were sure in a hurry to get our deposit. Now we have been waiting all day for them to deliver our door. I highly recommend going with another company if you value your time. If you can sit around all day waiting for someone to show up....then go nuts. I will update this once we actually receive our door.
