Always a 99% great place to buy pretty much anything you need. The 1% is them being very short staffed, causing long wait times for in-store pickup.

Terrible customer service. Latino glasses wearing woman is extremely rude and unprofessional. I barely got in the door when she YELLED at me to put my mask on instead of politely asking me when I had it on my person but hadnt put it on yet. Older guy there is no help and was clueless about the products sold there. They threatened to call the police on my husband because he questioned her when she insisted his mask part was not sold there. She talked down to him and in a condescending manner suggested he just buy a whole new $300 + mask instead of trying to help us locate the part. This was because they both wanted to clock out and go home. I suggest Granger fire her and replace her with a professional person asap. She is a rude and has terrible customer service skills. We own our own construction company and would never let our employees speak to our customers in that manner

Last week I went to a grainger store (Location5000 Northeast Pkwy, Fort Worth, TX) and my experience was absolutely unbelievable. I went there to get a part for my furnace as my heat was out, only to find the automatic doors wont open. I waited for a minute and a man cracked the door and asked if I placed an online order. I told him no and I just needed a new igniter for my furnace. He asked why my children werent wearing masks and that we couldnt come in until they did. They are under 10 years old and dont have to wear masks. He brought them masks to wear and finally let us in. Mind you, it was very cold and windy outside so standing outside waiting for someone to open a door to a store that is open was insane in itself. The second we step inside a lady behind a desk shouts PUT YOUR MASKS ON CORRECTLY with an attitude. I adjusted my mask and within a few seconds she screamed it again. I pulled my mask practically up to my eyeballs to appease this woman. I finally got to a man who helped me get the part I needed. Without being able to truly inspect the part because of safety I had to go home and pray that it was correct. Luckily it was.Upon leaving the store, we once again had to wait for the great and powerful Oz to open the automatic doors for us, because apparently covid can open doors now too. You are yelling at customers to wear masks correctly, and reluctantly letting them in the stores. Why would you be forcing all customers into a narrow opening in a door, where everyone has to get within inches of each other? How does that make any sense? You should really update your website to say you arent open for customers and only want to take online orders. Clearly, thats what this branch wants. I would never spend a penny here again. Nobody who values their time or dignity should shop here. The woman you have working there needs to learn customer service, and after reading other reviews its clear Im not the only one who thinks so.

Covid or not, Ive been here twice since the outbreak, and both times I had to wait on the sidewalk while they let two other customers inside. One day it was hot and one day it was cold. This is a bad plan, and shame on you.
