It hurts a bit, right in the age-related feels, to write this, but when I took lessons from Michael (and his apprentice at that time), it was 2000 when I left (I took lessons for almost a year). So, 21 years ago. Jesus, time is a heartless beeyotch, huh?Anyway, Michael was great. Didnt give me sheeit for my 200 dollar nylon string while he had guitars on the wall worth 20,000 and more. Dayam.Professional guitarist - if you meet him ask him about a couple things which I think are great stories, one of which is his travel experience in a 60s rock band, opening for The Grateful Dead, during which he asked Jerry Garcia - known for his enjoyment of chemical delights - about playing altered. He told me he said, Jerry, how do you play stoned? I cant go onstage stoned, I cant play.Jerrys words of wisdom were, My boy, to play stoned, youve got to *practice* stoned.Words to live by, man.Micheal has the patience of Christ, and when I knew him, the long hair and beard/mustache combo to play him in any Revival of Hair: The Musical, and I cant even giggle enough to say how happy I am seeing he is still teaching morons like me to play our first Segovia piece.

Mr.Dailey is the only instructor I recommend to people when looking for quality guitar education. His ability to play classical guitar is impeccable. He goes step-by-step in every lesson making sure the student has full understanding of each lesson. His knowledge of music theory is astounding which in turn leaves you feeling like you have learned something new at the end of every lesson. He is not only a mentor but a good friend as well and is always there for you when you need help. The Guitar Studio is by far the best place to go when looking for the highest quality in guitar lessons.

This small guitar shop is both a high-end Spanish Guitar gallery and home to one of DFWs most distinguished classical guitar maestros. Here you can learn 2nd hand generation Andrés Segovia Spanish Guitar technique under the close direction of Michael Daily, the owner. There are few teachers left who can control and teach control of this vibrant classical instrument. We are truly lucky to have a gem such as this studio in Texas, when we arent able to study in Spain directly.
