My 2000 Ford Ranger was running hot. I was about to head home to Eureka but decided I didn’t want to risk destroying the engine on the freeway. I called em at 5 o clock and they said to come by. They checked my radiator for me and filled it with water and gave me tips on how to flush it once I got home. Just really cool and helpful guys. I’ll bring my car there for sure when I need something done.

Convenient and easy to find. Its a small shop so getting your car fixed quickly wont happen. But Steve does good quality work and prices fairly.

Dan is the MAN!!! I was in a real situation on a Saturday morning in Ferndale... my car was spewing yellow liquid from under my dash board and Fortuna Auto always the only place open. So I called Fan and he was able to tell me over the phone a guess-timate for the work. It took it bit longer than expected due to the holiday and shipping nonsense but that wasn’t really his fault. He was very friendly and helpful and even called me when he was done with my truck to check on how it was running! Great guy and great work.

Honest mechanics!!!!! I have older vehicles that need work fairly often and I fully trust Steve. He tells me when an expensive repair is not worth it or could be avoided. Great family owned business!

They managed to pull an extra $800 out of me beyond what was agreed upon. Im disputing it with my credit card company, and reporting it to BBB.

Very positive experience working with Steves Automotive! Came in under estimate and a day early. Having a head gasket replaced is everyones nightmare, but Steves great attitude and customer service took away my fears. I will use his services again and tell all my friends what a pleasure it was to deal with a company with such high integrity.

Was having power steering problems and called Fortuna automotive and talked to a guy named Steve. he said bring it in he would check it out, Later that day he called me and said it definitely needed a new power steering unit by the next day at 3:00 a clock he said he had put in a new power steering unit and to come pick it up When we got there he charged us almost 500 dollars. we live outside of town and while driving home we noticed the power steering unit was winding and making loud noises still. So we called fortunas automotive soon as we got home and talked to Steve again, he said bring it back in so we did the next morning. He called a few hours later and said that we needed to replace a sensor and that it would be 75 additional dollars we said ok, he said hed call when it was ready, later that afternoon he called and said it was already ready, so we came down and picked up the car again this time headed to the airport and by the time we got there the car was already making that terribly loud winding sound so we called Steve again.steve said bring it back he would check it out but he couldnt figure out what was wrong with it.we took it back and said maybe the pump he put on was malfunctioned.steve said he would put on a new pump that we had a warranty. Three days later we called Steve we hadnt heard from him.when we called Steve he said I have to move my Shop but i will get to it. He let our car sit for eight days without doing anything to it.we went to the place Steve (Fortuna automotive) was where we left our car and Steve had completely moved his lousy shop and just left my car sitting there. Steve moved up where the old u haul place was. Where no one goes.i went and got my keys from him and went back to where he left my car still broke and picked it up. SteveScrewed us and is a very dishonest person.fortuna automotive and Steve are now a mushroom in the dark corner.you are for warned.i am turning him into BBB and I am going to sue Fortuna automotive.it sucks running into a snak e like him
