Waited in line at pharmacy to talk to someone about the covid-19 booster but gave up after 20 minutes. I was 2nd in line and it was taking forever!

I HATE having to shop at this Safeway. There is ALWAYS an issue of some kind when I do shop here. Never fully staffed, check-out lines are always exceedingly long (again, understaffed), and the employees are rude. Add to all this the fact that this Safeway increases its prices since it is in Fountain Hills and you have a repeatedly terrible experience trying to shop here.

Had nothing in stock I needed, wasted trip

Like going here close to homeFriendly staff. When I first moved here I told Duane and Peggy I am new here. Peggy helped me find a dessert item to take to church. Turns out we go to same church ! Been friends ever since!But ever since albertsons took over. I cant find anything. As soon as I discover where something is. The store changes the location. The store had silk yogurt and then they stopped carrying it. Seems like that happens a lot too. Find something I like and the store stops carrying it .or changes location. Like gene in pharmacy too!

W e find our grocery items easily and check out in one of the available lines. The employees are helpful and polite and we check easily

Used Drive Up grocery shopping for the first time and am hooked. The process is so simple and convenient! Even credited Safeway coupons. The few substitutions were reasonable. Service was great!

Have been shopping at this store for several years with my wife and daughter and friends and family when they come into town and needless to say the prices are the lowest and the people are some of the friendliest you can find!Alexa and the other gentleman that are pharmacists are fantastic and will bend over backwards to help people which is amazing!Julie and Mary up front are fantastic, and if you have any issues with getting pricing correct on your receipt or coupons being applied correctly or to purchase a money order or get things loaded out to your car they are fantastic!The parking lot can be kind of a war zone so I would recommend paying attention as in the afternoon the shaded parking is great but can create blind spots so just pay attention LOL other than that the safe way is always well cleaned well stocked well maintained any employees are always professional and nice.

Safeway has a pretty good selection in the meat department, I bought like 2 lbs of shrimp and some steak. Its good. 5 stars 😁

This is located in Fountain Hills. Theres Bashas & Safeway to shop at. Safeway is very large & clean inside. Long rolls of aisles to push your cart thru. They have a bakery to order hot cooked 🐔 & 🍰🥗 and already made to go food items. Theirs Starbucks inside!...of course there would be! They have rows of check out, but only 2 open! Self service check out too. Even thats slow.

Wonderful place to shop. Prices were good and the staff was nice. I go in Safeways for my fast shopping I never have to wait there. They are open until midnight.

Fundamental management/scheduling issue at this store. For 5 years straight I’ve waited in line every single time I came here.I can’t give them a 1 star review over it though. But…. They need to know their store is no fun for customers

Overall a great store! Employees were not too enthusiastic however they were helpful and informed and were able to make the propane buying process really easy. Other than that it was standard Safeway cleanliness and quality.

Been visiting this Safeway since I moved near in 1999.They have kind employees,Good service, fresh food;And what i appreciate most is a wide variety, and selection for the past 20yrs.I have been shopping there.

Great place to go and buy what you need from floral,to coffee check out all (banking, pharmacist, sushi, wing & soup stations, best bakery, i think) that Safeway has to offer. Late night hours makes it a very convenient to pick up what you need when all other markets are closed. Redbox movies are also available. Take some time to navigate the aisles your find so much from the brands you know and love to the new organics items offered. Ryan Guthrie the bagger did a great job organizing my groceries in my cart and was a wonderful young man to talk too. Would recommend talking and having him help you with anything you need.

If you need a hard to find item for a recipe you have a better than average chance of finding it here. We found an abundance of sake!

The store is convenient to where I live, clean, comfortable atmosphere, and its so great to have the covered parking this time of year ... The staff is doing a great job with disinfecting and keeping things upbeat and cheerful during these awkward times... And I love the gas rewards, plus there are terrific additional savings available if you make the time to learn and use the Safeway Just 4 U app.

A nice shopping experience. Being in a small town means you see a lot of people you know, making it good to go here. Even today, I saw my friend working there, which was awesome to see after Ive been away for a few years.

Large ready to eat section. Typical grocer layout w typical departments (deli, Baker, pharmacy, etc). Good sales and customer loyalty program. Friendly staff. Clean facilities. Ample parking. Good wine and beer selection w some smaller craft breweries amongst the typical national brands.

They have great sales that are competitive with the 2 nearby grocery stores. Very seldom do you see an empty shelf. Stock rotation is a priority so old goods are taken away. The food is attractively displayed with product prices are visible to all.

Prices are higher than Bashas or Frys.The fuel rewards program is quite chintzy overall and laughably restricted! i.e. no fuel points on liquid dairy?! LOL..Though I prefer Chevron Gas over other Good gas Shell and Frys Gas the one here is (again LOL) Insultingly the highest priced around....But when they have specials and markdowns they try to make up for this by cutting way down. Worth a peak...PS JESUS LOVES YOU. Just ask him.

Great staff in dairy and at cash register. They remember faces and care how food is packed.

Store is clean and cashiers are friendly. That being said store is always busy and they other departments have poor customer service. I go there because it is close to house. I would not recommend, unless it is close to your home. I go into Scottsdale to Sprouts for most of our groceries.

This Safeway its like most safe ways they provide you with a good Hometown Phil. Ive been shopping at Safeway for over 35 years and I dont think I would be comfortable shopping in any other store. I would highly recommend this Safeway to any and all in the Foothills area or if youre just passing through. All the aisles are clean everything was faced Ford and staff and management had Smiles on their faces. What more can I say.

Nice people. Lines are crazy long every time I go into this store... Not sure it that is just my luck. Deli food has always been fresh and tasty! Whole store overall is very clean. Jack in customer service was super helpful and efficient with any issues that me or my family has had. You can definitely tell that management knows what they are doing here.

Most of the shelves are stocked with the there appropriate products. All staff are available and they share the most updated information on what is in stock and where to find it.

Just like the layout for my Safeway in Colorado. Clean and well maintained. Staff was pleasant and helpful. We found all our favourites including the olive bar and deli. Nice selection of Alcohol.

Overall not a bad place to shop until you have to check out and realize that they are generally understaffed. The meat and fish dept is strong, and overall it is a well laid out and appealing store environment. Just know that stores like this is why convenience stores came to be in the first place. One item or 30, you will not get out fast.Update: Four self check stations were finally added! It helps.

Love the store and the staff is very helpful but the cashiers tend to be very slow. Much better now that theyve gotten the self- checkout machines.

This is an awesome location to pick up the essentials when vacationing in Fountain Hills and the hours are awesome! 5:00am till 12:00pm. Also its pretty much the only place to buy alcohol after 9:00pm in 15 mile radius!

Great prices on milk. The selection is excellent, everything always seems very fresh and tasty. Recently they installed solar panels on top of the covered parking. My only complaint is that they have never sold the winning Powerball (jackpot) ticket.

I dont shop Safeway much I prefer frys and theyre Kroger brands that are very low price when I do go to Safeway I always find it a pleasant experience and the store is nicely laid out and very clean.

Extensive variety of packaged food, deli food, produce, meat & fish, bakery AND wine! The section of daily prepared fresh foods for grilling, or guacamole, etc. is so handy, & makes for great last minute freshly prepared meals at home. The stuffed mushroom caps & brocholini are really good. US Bank with the store is very convenient. Clean.

Better options in FH

Prices are competitive however they are severly understaffed, often see managent hanging out in office, rather than on the floor and or assisting in opening lanes or bagging groceries. The baggers (shortage)need to have lessons on how to bag and the pharmacy appears to be extremely short handed😜. I feel for them

The people are almost always miserable​ and very sloppy. Ive gotten ground beef that had pink meat wrapped around a chunk of brown (ready to expire). Way more expensive than all other stores in the area.

Great food, prices and service. Traffic and parking in the lot is very crowded during the day.

Service at the deli is very slow. Not enough employees. Checkouts are incredibly slow. Otherwise, its pretty much like any other grocery store.

I like this store Ive been working in the area for years its a great place for a pit stop. The sushi is excellent and the deli also has a good selection for lunch options. There is a Starbucks too if fancy coffee is your thing the ppl who work there are very friendly almost to a fault but its nice for the most part. The alcohol area is well stocked and easy to navigate since everything is well marked. They do a good job moving seasonal items into intuitive locations and maintain a decent appearance around the store.
