Shawn did a great job walking us through the options and helping us decide on the best solution for our back yard shade questions. We had a large existing concrete patio with some quality patio furniture that we wanted to protect (not cover when not in use) We also did not want to tear up the existing concrete or make visible cuts. Shawn was able to help with a design that gave us shade and protection from the rain and sun or open sky at night. We were able to bring lighting and heating as well as a gutter system to take water away from our furniture. All of this came together in a beautiful and highly functioning patio cover.I also want to thank him and their whole staff for making it possible to get installed as quickly as possible and be ready for a special event we were having in our back yard. Ever since pandemic started, I have planned to renovate my backyard and always wanted a patio with louvered system. In my personal opinion, a patio cover that can be adjusted is absolutely the smartest idea! I found a few places that offer this system, including Smart Patio Plus.First of all, keep in mind that louvered patio cost more than traditional kind so no matter which company I pick it will be more expensive. So in this case, I emphasized on the qualities of materials and customer services. Smart Patio is the one !Shawn, their sales rep came out to help me understand the engineering of their system and how and where their materials are being made ( of course it’s made in USA). Another plus is Shawn never hard sale anything. As a matter of fact, i didn’t buy it the first time because I didn’t have a contractor for my renovation yet, It was after 5 months that I contacted him again :)I also asked their installer, Dan and his crew to build. They are very knowledgeable since they install several of them per week!I had a very pleasant experience with this company from their top notch materials to their well managed and communicative employees.I also want to shout out to Shawn’s assistant, Brenda and Dan’s assistant, Stephanie and Fortino. Quick reply to my texts. They are the best !

I had an amazing RH roof top’s restaurant experience in Manhattan. I’ve been trying to re create that same atmosphere at my home. Luckily, I’ve discovered Smart Patio Plus system that was perfect for that.They have great images online so I signed up to have a specialist visit my house. Shawn saw my yard and helped me finalize the design to fit my need. I then went to their showroom in Fountain Valley and was instantly impressed with the real product. More than 8 years ago my husband and I decided we wanted a patio cover that had louvers that would open and close. We knew that if such a product existed it would be found at the L.A. County Fair, so we went to the fair and found Jim with Smart Patio Plus. As I recall, ours was the first pitched roof patio cover the company had designed and installed. It looked fantastic then and it still looks and works great. A few years ago one of the motors burned out and they came out and replaced it with a better motor. Last year during the pandemic, I noticed the roof was leaking at the pitch so I called Jim and was pleasantly surprised to find out that the company was still in business and that Jim was still returning calls. He arranged for someone to come out and assess the problem. It was noted that a cap was needed over the top so one was fashioned and installed and the leak was fixed. The aluminum is such ;good quality that a friend of mine used a piece of it to fashion a bracket for an oil filter mount that he needed for the Sunbeam Tiger he is putting back together.

I dropped in to talk to them about the patio cover I wanted. Their very rude employee asked why are you on our property, no photos!?. I had my phone out, I was not taking photos of their parking lot and building, why would I? It is a business center where they have space, this is not a private building. I explained I was interested in their patio cover and I was told to fill out the information on their website and somebody will get back to me in a few days. A few days??? I am at your office and you are open. On top of that, the warehouse guys were sitting outside smoking weed. I know that is legal in California but when you are on the job running a forklift???? I am so glad I went to their shop in person, they are not shiny like their website. Rude, dirty, weed smoking team, I can see why there are so many other negative comments about their company. Just sad, I was there to spend money. So glad I did not sign up online.

Beautiful work! The patio cover is going to provide a wonderful outdoor living space. It was a pleasure to work with them, and communication was quick and effective.

They are so eager to collect fees but single handedly delayed my project. The engineering drawings I received were not what I was purchasing!!! They told me it would take another 4-6 weeks to get the correct engineering drawings!!! It took me contesting my cc charge for them to even respond as if they cared!!!BE EXTREMELY CAUTIOUS when dealing with them!! Not worth the hassle if you ask me!!! You can actually get exceptional service from a company that cares... its evident they dont!!Won’t ever work with this business

Great job, very responsive and very nice crew! I love how my yard looks and I am so happy with their work. They did such a good I am very pleased with everything. I cant wait to work with Smart Patio Plus again. I am so thankful for them!

The louvered patio cover is one of the best things in my backyard, if not the best thing in my backyard. After a little bit of initial trouble regarding the manual system, I was switched to the remote control system. Everything went very well with the transition, and Jim personally came to correct the situation and be sure that it was working perfectly. I now have the patio that I have dreamed of and I’m looking forward to many years of outdoor living under the louvers. Smart Patio Plus is a fine company which caters to customers in a professional and friendly manner.
