“Kid” working the repair shop is lame. Brought in my sons Hosim to get repaired (right rear tire not spinning with throttle). The kid didn’t ask a single question, didn’t pick up the car, jut looked at me blankly and said “I can’t order parts for that car”.Clearly his skill level is mediocre at best and very narrow scoped.After getting home and within 30 minutes, I had the car apart and ordered part number 25-zj06 (rear differential). Pretty pathetic that a low level amateur (at best) like me can puzzle solve what the repair shop “expert” couldn’t be bothered to touch or offer interaction beyond a “ I can’t…”. You can’t because that would take effort and critical thinking….something you demonstrated you lack.I get it, Hosim isnt in your stores brand of cars. My son, to who this was a major let down as this was a gift from Santa, left disappointed after having built up excitement to go to this store for the first time, drop his car off to get fixed and look at future potential upgrades.To be fair, the gentleman walking the store was helpful and knowledgeable about models they offer.Thanks for confirming that your repair shop is….useless….unless it’s one of the brands you sell….which are so simplistic to work on (you can YouTube anything re: Traxxas for instance) that even a chimpanzee can do it.Word of advice repair shop “kid”, learn to move out of your comfort zone, develop stronger social / interactive skills and read the room. You’ll get further in life.

I’m always impressed with the customer service they provide each and every time I visit... that’s probably more then I would admit but the staff is super friendly and knowledgeable. It doesn’t matter if your looking to buy your first RC or a seasoned vet the have endless inventory, parts and accessories. The coolest part they often demo new vehicles and beat the heck out of them.

Theyre great. The worker are all super helpful. Huge selection of cool RC, trains, models, and probably stuff I missed.

Let me start off by saying what a fantastic RC store! Their selection of RC vehicles planes, boats, truggys, and crawlers is amazing. This may be the best stocked RC hobby shop I’ve ever been in. The staff and even a customer where very helpful and knowledgeable. This is the experience one should I expect when going into a hobby store. I had a general idea of what I wanted when I went in which involved pricing out a roller vehicle with everything it would need to run. The staff was more than happy to answer my questions show me the products and the options that were available at no point did I feel like I was a bother to them like I have Experienced in other shops. I’m not into trains or building models but their selection of both seem to be excellent definitely a great all-around hobby store. Thank you for being there and for your great service you will have a repeat customer!

This was a pretty cool place. Came looking for a battery and the service person knew the serial number by heart without looking it up. In the RC world if it flies, drives, floats or hovers they either have it or can get it. If you are interested in RC devices its worth the trip just to see the store. The website does not do this business justice... you really have to see it in person.

Awesome store, Jeremy the owner is gentleman very knowledgeable about his product. I have many friends who have been going to the for years. From trains to planes, a to the z of remote controlled items at the hobby quarters. I have baby born and he is too young for the mini z rc cars but they look amazing and perfect to use inside the house. I cant wait to get him into cars. The mini z will be a create way to start.

Ended up leaving my Traxxas slash fixed by Hobby Quarters earlier this week. I couldn’t figure out the issue so I left it here and Jim(I believe) was able to diagnose and fix the issue in a day or so. He also made an adjustment to another part I installed myself. The truck is now running just as good if not better than straight out of the box.I’ve also purchased a few other cars and parts from here over the course of the past year. Though there are times you can find cheap knock off parts online. I find the prices for OEM parts from Traxxas and Losi at Hobby Quarters just as good if not better than other brick and mortar shops and online. The best thing is that they typically have what I need in stock even if it’s sold out everywhere online.

I went in asking for a 5.5mm box wrench. Guy at the counter handed me a $10 wrench and told me it would fit. Unfortunately I didnt ask for a receipt so Im out 10 bucks and I have a wrench thats too small to be useful.Update: went back, and they made it right!

Re-writing my initial review. I want to say that this shop does have a TON of stock and is great. I had an issue and the owner called me immediately to apologize, and I returned to the shop and gave them another shot, and boy, the customer service I was received was IMPROVED alot. I will continue to come back here for my part needs. Im always breaking something on the truck. Haha Im headed back now for a skid plate and Im sure Ill walk out with more. Im an early GenX-er. This is what a hobby shop is supposed to be. Younger employees definitely up to date on new school tech. Older employee/owner definitely knows his stuff from back in the day. I most certainly see me parting way with a portion of my paycheck now that I have the RC bug again.Support your local shop before they are gone. This is an old school shop, relevant to todays tech.

I came in for a handful of paints to recreate a paint job my father had on his rc10 30 years ago. To my surprise they had the same brand, Practa (now by testors), and even the exact same colors! While I was ringing out, I impulse bought a CR28; which is a pretty fun around the house RC and worth the $60!Great to see that real RC Hobby Shops still exist! I couldnt believe the selection they have as well as helpful staff. I overheard one of them walking someone through painting up their new RC body; then, even offered to help them paint it out behind the shop! Its exactly what youre looking for at a hobby shop and what keeps people coming back.

This store is one of the best around. Came in looking for a speciffic part for my rc car and they had it. Not only did they have it, but they had a great selection of parts for all the brands they carry in this store. A whole wall of the store just for spare parts. I was impressed. They had a great selection of rc vehicles as well, especially after the major shortage. The person that helped us find the part in the store was very helpful by informing us how to install the part and to prevent it from breaking like the original one. Great service, nice people too. I will definitely be back here when Im in the area again.

I had previously rated this place 5 starts but I have made a least 10 visits since then.IDK if they hired a bunch of people due to the holidays or what but Ive had 3 different people come up to me and ask if Ive needed help and every time they are unsure and cant answer my question. Easiest example is when I was in the back room where the body for the trucks are and I asked them which bodies would fit the truck I purchased there 1 month ago and the guy couldnt tell me. I even brought the original body with me and the kid had no clue.

They NEED competition in the region from another hobby store to boost their customer service up ! Apart from the owner Jeremy, the employees barely knew anything regarding the planes, what they run, what they had, anything really about whats in stock.I also asked for a 8 channel ar8360t receiver with Safe and AS3X, dude brought a DX6transmitter / radio. Then after an explanation on what a receiver is ...he brought a 6ch receiver.. then said they dont have 8ch receivers...but I went there bc only they had an ar8360t receiver in stock online and I show him. So with an attitude calls the other guy, who finds an 8ch ar8010 receiver and says thats all we have, but i insist to take a look, they take me behind the counter, to the wall shelf stash and I find exactly what they swore wasnt in stock and 3 more, In plain sight.I dont think they know what theyre selling and its only bc I came a long ways that I had as much patience.And all this after 25 ish minutes of not being acknowledged and.. Really the customer service is just meh !

Strong mixed feelings about this store. Love how there is still an actual hobby shop still around. Their selection is decent, but tend to be more about 1. RC trucks and cars 2. Trains 3. Planes 4. Drones. In that order. I understand the hobby and technology changes but still would be nice to see more drone stuff. The staff is very knowledgeable, yet again only in the first two categories mentioned above. But overall good experience going in and they are always willing to help. I would love to see so much more out of this place, yet in the long run they offer so much more than most, plus they are the only ones around! O yeah and price, definitely priced well and you will NOT get ripped off. They match some online prices, but again it’s not a big concern since everything is priced reasonably.

Excellent customer service and the staff are really knowledgeable. Unlike a lot of places, their selection of replacement parts isn’t just limited to Traxxas. I even picked up an new 4TEC 2 VXL chassis for cheaper than the Traxxas website! These guys are awesome.

I didnt even know when to start! My only wish Id that they would carry a larger selection of dual battery lipo chargers. Other than that, Wicked gnarly guys!

I went to get some advice on drones today and went to Hobby Quarters. They listened to what I was looking for and set me up with exactly what I should start out with all the options I was looking for at a perfect price. The customer service was excellent and straightforward advice that you cant get over the internet. I will definitely be back.

Great hobby shop! They have just about everything, LOTS of car and truck parts and a nice assortment of RC model airplanes as well. A nice selection of plastic model kits and even model trains. Something for everyone here. I spoke with the owner and he is a super guy, loves talking about airplanes and really understood my passion for building with balsa.

This place is so awesome, my boyfriend and I are RC hobbyists and this place is the best hobby store weve found to supply us with equipment, upgrades....just browsing around and dreaming is fun.

These guys will sell u bubble gum from the bottom of the desk as diff fluid if you didnt know the difference. They are out to make a quick buck . I have had a few bad dealing with them and will be purchasing my new trucks elsewhere. You guys lost a good customer with your terrible customer service skills maybe hire some people that have some knowledge. Off to buy two new kraton 8s trucks

If you have or want an RC car this is the place! This is basically an AutoZone for RC cars. Replacement parts, new RC cars, and great employees. Very knowledgeable and friendly. Gift givers, novices, and RC pros will all enjoy this place.

We were greeted by the owner once we walked through the door. Just stopped in to browse but what a selection they have. Will definitely return if and when I need parts for my RC trucks.Update... Came back in search for my crawler. First visit may have been a fluke as the second experience wasnt as good. Long wait to check out and staff not as friendly. Back to the drawing board. Still bought the crawler but the Horizon website had it $20 cheaper. Trying to support local business but we will see next time. Down grading rating by 1 stars.

A well stocked and expertly staffed shop. We were struggling to assemble a drone kit purchased online from a foreign source. We were pointed to Hobby Quarters for help. Despite a very busy store, the staff and owner were incredibly friendly and patient with all the questions from our group of 10 year olds. They provided expert guidance and recommendations that were difficult if not impossible to find online. With an impressive selection and friendly expert staff, Hobby Quarters was well worth a long trek for us and an all around better option than online.

Dropped 2 RC cars off today to get some screws and a tune on both.... walked in staff instantly came over to help me out. They were very polite and knew what they were talking about. I just hope they can get them done asap so I can use them this weekend while Im on vacation.

Place has Mini-Z rc car racing on Thursdays and is very friendly!... If Im not mistaken, I think they even have RC drag racing outside in the warmer months.

This is an awesome place. They hold mini car races every Thursday night. They often have raffles for goods in the store.

And many of these places are brick and mortar stores like you. You have them for $129. Lowest prices ok there buddy. You just lost a sale for two cars, etxra batteries and a lot of needed parts for other cars. Hope that $20 was worth it to ya. Wink wink.

Very helpful. I bought a battery and charger and they combined them because they were out of completer packs. Its a big store with a lot in stock. Prices are comparable to online pricing.I also want to add that they have a lot of drone and train stuff. I saw a lot of people asking about that in the reviews.

This is a awesome hobby shop, they have R/C cars, boats, planes, drones, and all kinds of good R/C stuff. The people that work there are friendly and love the hobby. I have had issues with price marking in the past. Just double check retail price if its just a price sticker and not a barcoded sticker.

So this store was holding a raffle for $20 with 30 spots in which the winner gets a new rc car. Me and my friend bought the last 2 tickets. We exited the store for a minute and returned to find them selling another last ticket to the same raffle. How many times did they sell the last ticket to whomever was at the counter? Very sheisty business. And why are theyre prices so high?Response to owner: no. I entered the store and was told by one employee that there were 2 spots remaining. Josh (who youve thrown under the bus) not only checked in the computer but also confirmed with YOU that there were only 2 tix remaining. then your employee sold another ticket to his buddy who i would assume won the waffle
