Last weekend I bought a Gibson acoustic guitar from the folks at this awesome music shop. I dealt exclusively with Max who’s family owns and operates this store and I’ve got to tell you that the level of service I received was nearly unparalleled. The guitar was purchased from their website and the entire interaction took place via phone, email and text. He sent me details, photos, videos, audio and answered every one of my questions in a polite and professional way (and I can be tedious in these kinds of transactions). He did it all in the most friendly manner. I really felt the locally owned and family operated vibe through this transaction. In the digital age where these kinds of transactions can feel cold and impersonal. I really got the sense that Max cared about his business and his customer. The small shop interaction really transcended that distant and detached feeling you get from a large online retailer. The kind of service you only really get in person, face to face or at this store online. My guitar was professionally packaged, shipped and arrived perfect in an “as described” condition. I couldn’t be happier with my new Gibson acoustic and this shop. As it’s only a state over and I like to travel, my next purchase from them will likely be in person. I will definitely be a repeat customer and you should too. A+++
I recently decided to try to teach myself guitar and needed some basics (guitar picks and a tuner) and since I work at the Staples nearby and have had many wonderful dealings with Max, I knew I had to give my business to this lovely family owned shop. I stopped in on Monday and was greeted warmly. Within just a few minutes I had everything I needed to get started. The customer service was fantastic. Although I admit that I’m biased (Max is one of my favorite customers) I interacted with Corbitt on this trip and I could tell that there is an authentic love of music and friendliness that is truly an integral part of the business and the family. 10/10 would recommend supporting this local business.
As a semi-pro musician, I taught my kids some basics of piano: scales, chords, inversions, and proper hand positioning. After I saw they both stuck with and enjoyed piano, I thought it best to continue with professional teachers. I heard great things about Centre Music and it was literally across the street, so we began lessons there. The teachers were very good and picked up where we left off after assessing their skills. My kids took lessons there for several years and enjoyed it.Ive had my instruments serviced there and have been very pleased with the friendly and knowledgeable staff. Its nice to support a neighborhood business...er, now that Ive moved 30 min away, I guess I should call them local business. But Ill be back.
I have been taking guitar lessons at Centre music house for over five and a half years now, and I have only good things to say. The teachers and staff are always professional and kind, and I have gotten a high quality musical education during my time here. I would unhesitatingly recommend Centre music house to anyone in the Framingham area who wants an excellent music education from great people.
I can always count on Centre Music for great people and great service. Its been a landmark for longer than Ive lived here, and for good reason! I brought my guitar in a few months ago to have the action lowered, which Corbit did for a very reasonable price. I noticed some buzzing and brought it back in, and he fixed it up that day for free. I cannot recommend Centre Music enough, and I look forward to having them around for all my future musical needs.
Ive been a customer of Centre Music since the mid-1980s, their product knowledge, sales, service and repair are top-notch! Max and Corbitt are two consummate professionals in this industry, and I look forward to being a long time customer!
I brought my acoustic guitar there to be restrung. They adjusted and tweeked the bridge. They treated the neck and polished my guitar for a incredibly good price! GREAT JOB!Highly recommend!
A great music store, cordial, professional staff, and excellent music teachers. My violin teacher, Anna, is fun and inspiring.
I brought my mandolin in to be restringed. I dropped it off on New Years Eve and they had it back to me on January 2. They did a wonderful job! Very friendly, too. The COVID precautions they have make everything feel very safe.
I highly recommend Centre Music House to anyone who wants to learn how to play a musical instrument. My children learned how to play ukulele here and we have also been taking flute lessons for several years. Everyone in Centre Music House is passionate about music, very helpful and customer service is outstanding. Look no further! This is the BEST place you can find. Bravo to Center Music House for keeping our children musically engaged at this difficult time.
Great piano lessons for our 5 year old daughter, we have been with Centre Music House for 7 months, starting in person then transitioning online through covid19 shutdown. Max has done an excellent job making sure the quality of online lessons continues to improve and offers technical support. Erin Dilworth is excellent and teaches all ages and is great with children. We have been so lucky to have lessons during a time where we need something to look forward to and offer some structure for little ones to express themselves and grow.
We had a alto sax repair request. Making an appointment was easy, the staff were so kind and communicative, and the work was well done. Would use their services again without hesitation.
Curbside pickup is amazing. So easy to buy on line and schedule a pick-up. Fast, friendly, and safe.
Dont be deceived by its small size, they have what you need in music, instruments, mics, service, strings, lessons, etc. I drove by this place so many times in the past 3 years, and wish I had taken the time to visit earlier instead of driving to Newton or getting things online.
I always enjoy my visits here, and during the current situation, they have a good plan of action installed for everyones safety.
This music shop is the place you’ve missed. Friendly, helpful and knowledgeable people. Merchandise you don’t find everywhere. I’ve always felt good about my trips to this store for set-ups, purchases, re-sales and repairs.
Corbit and co. always do phenomenal work. Everybody in the shop is very friendly, knowledgable, and willing to help. Great value, and CMH is an incredible part of the Framingham music community.
Friendly, highly knowledgeable staff & instructors. I’ve been taking bass lessons which have helped me improve much faster than I thought I would on my own. Highly recommend for learning an instrument or making a purchase.
The people at CMH are amazingly awesome. I enjoy bringing my children here for lessons in several different instruments. Would strongly recommend.
I do not usually post ratings.. but there is no way yuppiemobile69 has the right place. This family owned business is always so helpful. My sons have been taking lessons there for years. The teachers are great. The staff is great. Small, but wonderful team. I called this evening about a piano that is being given to us and still the owner gave me a recommendation on who can move/tune it for us. In addition to telling me a little about piano care. My shy younger son lights up when he goes to play the piano. Its very cool to see his growth over the year due to this amazing team. We have not purchased any instruments since my olders sons guitar last year. They let him try a few different ones to see what he was comfortable with. While waiting for my sons to get out of class Ive seen them help a number of people decide what might work for their student, but if you decide not to purchase something in the end they do not pressure you at all. They are always very respectful. Which is why we keep going back.
Excellent family owned business. The staff is always helpful and courteous. A gem in Framingham. Highly recommend.
This is my favorite local business, run by the kindest family. Myself, son, and daughter have all taken lessons here and purchased instruments and have always been 100% satisfied with the excellent customer service and expertise.
I will always come here if I ever need equipment. Its family owned with affordable gear for a plethra of instrumentation and phenomenal staff.
From taking lessons here as a young teen all the way to being a teacher here myself, CMH has always been one of the smoothest-running, friendly and wonderful atmospheres I have ever been in for learning and teaching music. The faculty here are all incredible musicians and fantastic teachers, and the office & repair guys are always quick to help out with any insight they have.Ive lived away from MA for two years and still havent found a music school even half as great as CMH! A true gem of the MetroWest community.
Great place....nice people!
THEYRE AWESOME!
Staff are very friendly...Went there for a violin rental..the instrument suited my needs and it was moderately priced.
Friendly & helpful bunch.
Nice place. They fix instruments and also have lessons
