This is the second Honda we have bought from the Neil Huffman group and it was absolutely a great experience. Celina was out salesperson and she was great from start to finish. John Carter did our paperwork and was wonderful as well. Billy the general manager also made an appearance and thanked us for our purchase. He went above & beyond to make sure we found exactly what we were looking for, made sure the small detail work we asked for was completed & stayed with us even through financing while passing up another sale so that he could shake our hands at the end (even after we told him he could go work the other sale since his portion with us was finished). I brought a used Chrysler town and country in first week of September 2021. just after one month on October 10th 2021 car started to show engine notification. After inspection engine was found to have fault and required $2700 service repair. Neil and Huffman says once we sold the car it is not their responsibility if anything goes wrong. During the purchasing they told us every car from their showroom goes through 135 inspections and works good for long run. They are scammer and know very well how to cheat with customers. We will never buy and recommend to any one. Their customer service is very poor and talk in rude manner once you complete purchase.
Cody helped me and made this process painless. I wasn’t planning on buying that day but his no pressure sales approach made me want to close the deal. He was upfront and honest with pricing which is hard to come by.
We have now purchased two vehicles from here and could not be more satisfied. Most recently our salesperson was Trevor and he was knowledgeable and professional. The sales people and finance staff were great they no problems answering questions, they were not pushy or over bearing. The only issue that was present which was not their fault is the lack of in stock vehicles. I would recommend them.
BEST DEALERSHIP AROUND! When my car was totaled by a tree limb during the recent ice storm, I found myself searching for used car for the first time. I live in Lexington and tried to look for a car locally, but as a customer of this dealership (previously under different ownership) for almost 20 years, I was drawn to return here to find what I needed. I was NOT disappointed! Jason, Casey, Eric and Randy went out of their way to work with me to find the perfect car for me. It took a few weeks, but they found my perfect car and Im totally pleased with it. Over the course of several weeks of finding my car, this group received a number of calls and texts from me, but they never gave up looking for the car that I wanted. I had one minor issue that needed attention, but that was taken care of by the dealerships wonderful service department (specifically Steven handled my issue very quickly and efficiently). I cannot speak highly enough of the incredible customer service provided by Neil Huffman Honda of Frankfort. Their tremendous customer service is the reason Ive returned here for so many years, and it is the reason I will continue to be a customer here for years to come!

I have been car shopping and I’m disappointed to say that one of my local dealers, Neil Huffman Honda, has been my worst experience. I took off work to purchase a vehicle and feel like there was very limited effort to win my business.I came in to test drive yesterday and walked in to find no one at the reception desk. The lobby and associates’ desks were generally untidy and the atmosphere unprofessional. The sales associate assigned to me wasn’t very knowledgeable when it came to questions about trims or details of features. He didn’t take any contact information or make a commitment to follow-up with vehicles I may be interested in, despite me being pretty specific. He never asked about budget, purchasing options, etc.Despite the weak start, after some research and consideration, I still fell in love with the car I drove, which is simply a testament to Honda and not this dealer, and I emailed the associate the following day to schedule an appointment with no response, whereas other dealers have been readily available via text and/or email for questions or for scheduling appointments. With low inventories, I took off from work to come in to avoid someone else getting the car.Working with a new associate, I was surprised to find that the sales manager wouldn’t honor the trade allowance they offered the day before, which granted the other associate had jotted it on a post-it note, so it didn’t seem very legitimate. In fact, I wasn’t given any estimates or decision making tools beyond a vague trade allowance figure and MSRPs of two similar vehicles they had coming in, penned on a notepad.I understand the chip shortage has changed the game a bit in terms of sales lately, but I really felt like this sales team didn’t value my time or interest and were relying on the great value of Honda to sell themselves to others, despite me showing up twice and willing to negotiate. I wasn’t asked if there were other options I’d be willing to consider or if I’d be interested in anything else (I am!). I gave two stars only because Hondas are great vehicles and I’m trying to be understanding about the constraints of the market right now, but unfortunately I don’t think I’ll be buying from Huffman Honda.
We bought my wife a 2018 used Rogue, but had to wait overnight to pick it up so they could perform the maintenance check and detailing.well apparently someone didn’t want to fool with the detailing and left it dirty on the outside (sand in the rear cargo area, dirty wheels, bugs on the bumper, smudges on the trim, etc).For $20k+ I assumed I would get a detailed vehicle but when you don’t care, you don’t care. So my wife and I are performing the detail ourselves.Just when I thought I found a good place to be a repeat customer. They knew I was going to shop for my stepdaughters car as well. Strange.They got 3 stars for being a no pressure sales type. I don’t do pressure tactics and told them up front. Maybe this helped or maybe they’re always pressure free. That was a good feature.

Horrible Customer Service. I found a car online that was listed on this lot. I called immediately and spoke to the salesman, he stated that the car still needed to be inspected (understandable) I told him my brother and I would be there the following Saturday morning (approximately 5 days after our initial conversation) first thing to test drive the car since we were interested in buying it for my mothers birthday. I asked him to please let me know if for any reason this car doesnt pass inspection. I never heard anything. On Friday evening I followed up to let the sales guy know that I would be there Saturday morning and that I live an hour and a half away, could he please confirm the car was available for a test drive. He informed me that it hadnt gone through inspection and it was still sitting outside waiting. I called the Sales Manager and he stated the car wasnt even there, it had been taken to BMW to be diagnosed since it wouldnt start the day before. NO COMMUNICATION AND I WOULD HAVE DRIVEN 1.5 HOURS FOR NOTHING!

There was absolutely no pressure, and he was very patient with all of my questions. When he didnt know something, he went and found the answer promptly. It was a pleasure working with him. First time customer and would give this dealership more than 5 stars if possible. Tech got my car into the service bay within minutes of my arrival. Was told to expect service to take an hour. 45 minutes later the service writer was handing me my keys. Problem fixed, no issues whatsoever. While waiting for my car, I struck up a conversation with the parts counter guy who was extremely knowledgeable, kind and helpful, and I wasnt even purchasing parts. Ended up buying a couple of Honda marketing knickknacks anyway. Friendly staff everywhere I went at this dealership. Shop here and get your Honda serviced here with confidence.
Eric Potter made the experience of purchasing a vehicle quick and easy. We had to travel an hour and a half to the dealership, but it was well worth the miles travelled. Left several messages for call backs with John Carter, the finance manager, to cancel our protections. To then find out he lied about our rate being affected by our coverage. We also scheduled our closing and had everything ready on the phone but still took several hours to finish our deal. Service has been far from excellent. I will never refer a friend or colleague to this dealership and I work in customer service.

This place does not care about veterans the people that fight for our country thats for sure my dad had a one time $21,000 car that the VA was paying for and said that they wouldnt hold a car and if it took longer than two days for the VA to give them the money which it takes at least 30 days to two months for the VA to process it and get the car that they werent going to do it and that they did it one time before and it was a headache and knowing that the process would take longer than two days that was pretty much telling us they did not or wouldnt do it
Went in was good at first very friendly but then acted like they didnt even want to work with me was told to leave and they would call me when the car they thought i wanted was ready i still havent got a call and glad i didnt cause i found the car i wanted i will definitly not be going back here and will be telling my family and friends how bad tgis place is
I drove in from 3 hours away to look at a particular vehicle which is hard to find. The salesman I dealt with, Alex, was helpful and not pushy. He was very pleasant.However, when it came time to talk numbers, I was informed that the dealership no longer financed through outside entities and that I would have to finance through one of their lenders. I came in preapproved from a bank at home with a rate I was happy with - this shouldve been my first red flag, but again, Id already driven 3 hours for this vehicle.Secondly, the finance mamanger, John Carter, was incredibly rude and condescending. I remarked at how high the $699 doc fee was and he responded with a snotty well actually in Louisville area its x amount, so its not high. Given that Ive bought several vehicles in KY before and NO ONE had nearly that high of a doc fee, I wasnt pleased. He also, while applying for financing to their internal network of lenders, kept raising the amount I previously agreed to put down. I came prepared to pay more, so it wasnt a dealbreaker, but I find that extremely shady. Just an overall rude unpleasant man.Thirdly, their location-specific website, neilhuffmanhondafrankfort.com, promises free delivery of a vehicle within 200 miles. I live within 150 miles of this dealership, however the dealership manager refused to honor this, and since I drove myself 3 HOURS to get the vehicle, had to have my inlaws meet me from an hour away to get both the new vehicle and the one I drove there home. Ridiculous.Ultimately I wound up with a payment at a bank in Leixington that wont even give me the account number over the phone to set up auto-bill pay with my own bank and am currently waiting to get papers in the mail with this info 3 days before my first payment is due.Thankfully I can pay the vehicle off pretty fast and be done with this mess. So glad to be done with this dealership; I get sick in my stomach just remembering the ordeal with the financing manager. I would not buy a vehicle here again.

There were positives and negatives in my experience with Huffman Honda.Cons:- I wish they would have worked on the price with me at least a little. I guess some people like that no negotiation sales thing, I didn’t care for it.- I feel like they lost the extra key. They thought they had it, said they would look for it, don’t feel like there was much effort put into that.- I was flat-out told, “We don’t accept outside financing.” This turned out not to be a huge deal, because they were able to beat the deal I came in with, but it is still distasteful in my opinion.Pros:- I definitely didn’t feel pressured to buy. It really was a “here’s the truck, take it or leave it” feel.- The finance guy did work to get me the best deal he could after price was settled.- There was a major issue with the truck that I couldn’t have known about from just a test drive. Another dealership found the issue after I bought it. I called and spoke to the sales manager at Huffman, then went to see him. I was prepared for a fight to get them to fix this issue, but no fight was needed. They ordered the parts, scheduled the repair, provided a loaner, and did what the said they would do. They did the right thing, and that is hard to come by these daysOverall, I would probably buy from them again, but hope its a long time before I buy another vehicle of any kind from anybody.
Wow. Predatory lending allegations!!!I read a review on their website alleging that they practice predatory lending. I was considering flying from out of town to purchase a car until I read that. A person should be able to buy their car using an outside lender. How can you refuse to sell them a car UNLESS they use your in house financing. Really? Kickbacks kickbacks kickbacks. Or worst 👀. Go figure.
This is a review and a consumer alert. I am giving them a two because the person i was texting about a vehicle i was interested in buying didnt reply to my last two text and that it would reflect in my review. He did call me and try to tell me that he did reply to them and was sorry i didnt get them. Funny how i received all the rest of his text till the questions got difficult. Now to the consumer alert: If you pay cash or have a check from a finance company to pay them directly they charge you a $699 dealership processing fee to take your money and give you a title for something that takes them literally 15 minutes to do. Must be nice to make an additional $699 when you sale a vehicle for doing NOTHING and call it a processing fee. What Did You Do To Earn A Processing Fee!!!!!!!!!!!!

Took my 22 year old daughter in there to assist her with her first new car purchase. Jason (sales manager) and Trevor (salesman) along with their finance guy went above and beyond to get her in the car she wanted even though she had bad/no credit. We will be returning in the future and highly recommend them. Cannot thank them enough

My experience with Neil Huffman Frankfort KY was strictly phone conversations, text messages and email. I was interested in a used vehicle. I accepted the proposed offer. The sales associate asked for a credit card to hold the vehicle. I mentioned I was going to contact my financial institution in order to get the monies to them.Approximately an hour later.I was told they DO NOT ACCEPT OUTSIDE FINANCING. My financial institution was willing to wire the money or send a cashiers check. Long story short John Carter the Finance Director made it very clear. HE would NOT accept any funds in any form. Not wired, a cashiers check, or a credit card. (I was just asked to provide a credit card to hold the vehicle 👀) Unless it was with one of their approved lenders.PREDATORY LENDING PRACTICES IS ILLEGALa used vehicle acc
After purchasing a Honda CRV and after the 150 miles you get to take back the vehicle, Ive had multiple issues with the audio system going black or becoming unresponsive. Its a new vehicle, so I took it to service and got the response I thought I would. Its intermittent and they couldnt get it to repeat itself. The only way to fix this is to turn the car off and on to reboot the system, which is kind of hard when you are on the interstate. Sad that Honda would sell vehicles in this state. Junk.

We needed a second car and researched the makes and models that fit the criteria we wanted. We narrowed our decision to two different makes and test drove them both more than once. Our choice was a 2018 Honda CR-V EX-L. Sent them an email what I would give for a 2020 Honda Civic EX-L and within 5 minutes I received an email back where they had accepted the offer. Cut a spare, non-chipped/programmed key for my CRV for $5, which included the blank key and cutting. No appointment required, no wait, very friendly. $5 to guarantee i don’t get locked out of my car is a cheap insurance policy. Would recommend this dealership if this is what you need since very few other places can cut these two-sided keys.

I bought a 2013 Hyundai, Santa Fe from this dealership and at the time of the final paperwork Cynthia Roe told us that the financial institution wanted a GAP insurance on the loan which I found out to be false. I have tried to get this insurance cancelled since March. I finally received documentation that the insurance was cancelled on March 11, 2020 and processed on 5/15/2020 but at the time of this writing the financial institution has not received the $995 credit. I have emailed Cynthia twice in the last two weeks and left a message for her yesterday asking her to let me know when the credit would be refunded to my account. I have never had a problem like this before and I have purchased many automobiles in the past. I assure you I will never deal with Neil Huffman at Frankfort, KY again.

He was never pushy or tried to talk us into a more expensive model. He answered all our questions and explained everything completely. I came with boyfriend and he was looking for his daughter a car. We did go to another lot and purchased the same car but better condition there. I expressed that my boyfriend doesnt window shop and we drove over an hour just for the specific Lexus he researched on the lot and had brought more than enough cash in hand with the intent to purchase that specific car. Attached is photo of the card Mark handed me. Again, Mark and Charles were super friendly and stand up guys. It was the manager and the fact he didnt even TRY to sell. Outstanding service! We had a little issue while driving west and stopped to get it checked out. We were helped and the issue was corrected at no charge immediately.
The maintenance department had very friendly employees. Nice selection of vehicles.
I spoke to a salesman via email, suggested I fill out a credit application. After filling it out I receive ZERO communication afterwards. I had to call to find out my score wasnt high enough, even though I could easily provide a cosigner which would have gotten the loan (along with the nice cash downpayment I already had). I think it seriously unprofessional to pull someones credit, then because they dont like the score, blow you off, not even providing additional options, or at the very least tell you that you were declined. Stay far away from the company.

I cannot thank Neil Huffman Honda of Frankfort and their service technician Autumn enough for helping us through some recent repairs on our beloved Honda Odyssey van. Autumn was forthright, friendly and honest through the whole process and I will never forget it. We are back on the road again, safely, and ready for many more road tripping adventures. I only have Neil Huffman Honda and Autumn to thank for that!

Made car buying super easy! Our salesman Eric was awesome. We drove a couple cars and decided on something that wasn’t at that dealership, Eric made it happen basically overnight. He was knowledgeable and personable, and he helped me understand everything I needed to know. He was also great about communicating with me beforehand so I was ready to walk away with a new car. Taylor Moody was also wonderful! He explained all my opinions to me and helped me understand how best to manage my payments. This past weekend I purchased a used car from the Neil Huffman store in Frankfort. The staff was very responsive, friendly and great customer service. I was very please with the whole process from negotiating the price prior to my arrival, the test drive and signing the paperwork. Was so easy and time efficient.

Do not work with Celina. She took my card number over the phone to charge the deposit for a vehicle that I was buying for cash. I called 2 hours later to let her know that Im on my way just for her to tell me that the vehicle was sold. The store manager was apologetic, but she lost our business for good!
Absolutely fantastic! Normally I dread the whole car buying process, but Casey was awesome through the whole process. He was super knowledgeable about all the new car features and helped me make the perfect selection! He wasnt pushy and made sure I got what I wanted and that I was happy before I signed anything. Nathan in the service department is the best. His customer service is excellent. Hes honest and trustworthy about any car issues you may have, and does a great job at getting you taken care of. Matt will get you together with your oil change and tire rotation and Ryann always gets my familys vehicle appointments scheduled with either of these guys, making it effortless and convenient. With them, and their service techs, were in good hands. Go see them for top notch service!
We just purchased a 2019 Honda odyssey. Our salesmen Jason was amazing!! Very informative about the vehicle we were looking at. Put us in exactly what we wanted. Also Taylor in the finance department was super friendly, easy to talk to and absolutely covered everything we needed to know. He went over all the documents that we were signing. Best place in central Kentucky to get your Honda serviced! I live in Louisville and come here for all services for my Honda Pilot. They dont upsell you unnecessary services and dont lie to you about what is required. I have had bad experiences with the Louisville Honda dealerships so I gladly drive to Frankfort for the wonderful service they provide. Nathan Eversole is the best service Advisor. He has impeccable customer service skills and is very thoughtful and helpful. I will be sad if and when he leaves this location. Heather is another service advisor who has been great to me. Overall this is the most trustworthy Honda dealership I have been to.
