We werent greeted when we walked in, the guy working there was busy on his phone. Im huge on customer engagement since I have experience in customer service. I wouldnt go out of my way to return to this store.. They did have a nice clean organized store and we found and bought what we were looking for. Didnt know it was free comic book day so there was a line to get in the store. ( we were in line 30 seconds) The staff was friendly, courteous and very helpful. The store is well stocked with a large variety of items that are easy to access. The aisles are wide and the store is very clean. We have found our new comic destination.😊

Came here for the first time during Free Comic Book Day. Not only do they have a huge selection of comics but they also have manga, graphic novels, and board games. Employees are very nice and open to any questions you may have. Will definitely come back here!

We went to the store in Frankfort, IL. The staff was great and helped to pick out current popular comic books that a teen would like since I was buying for my grandson and had no clue! The store was clean and well organized. They also stocked games and had a nice selection of merchandise and something for all age groups... I even picked up a comic book for my 7 year old great nephew!

Visiting family in Frankfort and called them to see if they had Evolving Skies B&Bs in stock and they said they did. I went the next day in the morning and the workers were all very friendly and they had an assortment of other product so I got some other stuff plus what I came for. I recommend this place HIGHLY because they have very competitive pricing, they have limits on things and its a sigh of relief to see them not charging double msrp for everything and/or letting one person buy them out like some LGS do. If you are in the area this is the shop to visit!

The staff here is amazing, friendly, and knowledgeable, and will also answer your questions via Facebook. I have long been looking for a great all-aroubd geek store, and this is my new go-to! With everything from comics to collectables, board, card, and RPG gaming, and a wide selection of everything, I fell in love on my first visit. Three visits in, and I know my first visit wasnt just a lucky visit. Its about a half-hour, forty-five minute drive from my home, but its worth the drive! Now all I have to do is remind my wallet my funds are not unlimited!

Absolutely adore this place for board games and mini-figures. The staff is very nice and extremely fun to talk to. I hope that with lockdowns coming to an end and a successful vaccine rollout, we can start to play board games here again soon!

One of the best comic shops in Chicagoland!Great staff, a wide variety of new and older comics, and a large graphic novel, action figure, and board game sections as well. They always have good sales for holidays/special events, and are one of the best stores to go to for Free Comic Book Day as they will give away more free comics than most other comic stores.Ive been shopping here since they were located on Rt. 30 more than a decade ago.

Hands down, this is my favorite comic book shop in Illinois. Such a huge collection of comics and graphic novels. AF has a wonderful selection of toys, FUNKOs, and other collectibles. They also occasionally run some great deals on old TPB’s.The staff is always friendly and helpful. Their social media presence is great. And they were always on the ball with safety during COVID.The only negative is that the building seems to be a total dead zone for cell phone service. I’ve found myself needing to go outside to send a text or pic to a friend, but I understand that this is out of their control.The other Amazing Fantasy’s in the area are good too, but this one is the best!

I was in there and they were listening to a socialist radio station, It was weird, I mean it actually said..Youre listening to the socialist radio network..it was weird.The lady there was asking customers if they took the vaccine. then a customer came in and asked for a certain comic and when he left they made fun of him, mocking him, because he scoffed at the whole sanitizer set up, still used it mind you, since she told him to. The hole sanitizer set up is bizarre. They will demand you use it. I know, their store, their rules, but ffs!Im never going back.

Edit: 4/1/2021 - Came in to speak about the packs and the owner was fully transparent. Showed me the shipment box and allowed me to open a sealed battle styles booster box... 100% legit, just Pokémon Co. themself rushing product and booster packs coming out very janky... Buy from AFBC, great store!Have been buying booster packs of Pokémon cards from them for a very fair price for a month or so now and my little cousin opens them... it’s a shared bonding type of thing. I didn’t really pay much attention to the seal on the packs until I recently got my hand on factory sealed booster boxes... the packs that came in the completely sealed brand new booster boxes were wayyyy different from the seal on the packs I purchased from Amazing Fantasy. I went to do a bit of research and stumbled upon “resealed” packs. My BNIB packs were 100% legit, whereas the AF packs were ALL sealed in a really weird way and all opened as if they’d been opened before. The specific packs I purchased from them were the “loose” vivid voltage, darkness ablaze, and battle styles packs... seeing that battle styles recently came out, there is absolutely no reason all of the packs I opened had the same messed up seal as the darkness ablaze packs that were also purchased. I love Amazing Fantasy, but I would highly advise to ONLY BUY COMPLETELY SEALED Pokémon boxes/tins from them if you can. Also, the darkness ablaze packs that had green code cards were yielding V’s and even VMax’s, that was another suspicion I had from the experience... the white code card booster packs few times had no actual “hits” in them, but the green code cards did, so confusing. Once again, I love the store, but I have a feeling whomever they are getting their booster boxes from may be supplying them with resealed packs.

Ive been visiting this shop for a few years now, and its great. Friendly and knowledgeable staff, a HUGE selection of new and back issues, plenty of collectibles, and quite a bit of card/tabletop gaming merch, including model paints! They also do punch cards for trades/graphic novels and Funko Pops. If youre a geek in the South Burbs, you definitely need to check it out!

Very clean store! Great selection of comics, trades and figures. Huge Funko Pop selection with a great frequent buyers club. Doesnt cost a thing and if you have multiple cards with a few punches each, they let you combine them.Staff could be a bit friendlier to non-regulars but that is the only semi-complaint.

Been going to A&F for years. Helpful staff and if they dont have it they will always check to see if they can order it. I enjoy the board games, CCGs and minis. They carry paints and primers to get you started right away. And they have dice in a cabinet and loose dice at the counter as well. Highly recommend this place for you geek needs!

I was looking for a place to play some pen and paper games and found this location. The staff is friendly, professional, and very helpful. They put me in a group on my first day there and a year and half later I still come here every week. They have everything you need from board games, to comics, to miniatures and paints.

Everyone was really nice and I finally found a place to play D&D. I was also able to find my fiances character in a tiny figure form. ☺️

This store, and specifically this location, is a fantastic resource for all of your geekdom needs. They have a plethora of comics, graphic novels, collectibles, toys, posters, and more. They have an enormous variety of board games, tabletop games, card games, role playing games, and all the gaming accessories. I found it particularly enjoyable checking out their miniature and dice selection.They host events as well and have plenty of space for gaming tables.

This is a great store for comics, collectibles, Funko Pops, games etc. Ive been coming and going from this place for a long time. Once or twice Ive gotten an elitist vibe from people here (employees and patrons) for lack knowledge on comic subjects but its honestly rare, so negative stars there. They always have what Im looking for. All in all its my #1 recommendation for people looking for comics, games, collectibles, etc.

This is a great comic shop with lots of back issues, games, and collectibles. The staff are also really nice. Just dont come here to play Magic: The Gathering--many of the regulars as of this post (10/29/16) are overprivileged entitled white males with all the attendant opinions and attitudes.

The store was doing free give aways on the 4th, tons of people were there, and the staff was keeping up the store really well. They had a very decent variety of comics, mangas, cards, and even board games and collectables. I been in other stores that had much less on display, and other stores that werent busy and it looked like a mess. For this store to have maintained the crowd that came out, having a great selection, and a attentive staff, certainly makes me want to make the trip to visit more often.
