I had a wonderful time at Capital Cellars! The manager/bartender helped us make some great selections for sampling and for take home. This is a great place to stop into if you’re in Frankfurt. Fantastic selection of wine!

Well let me tell you I give this place a 5 star. Not only was the wine out standing the service was outstanding to. Food was FABULOUS . A customer even was very nice to give me a glass of her wine being it was my Birthday. I can say BESTDAY EVER!!

Came here for the first time today. Jo was my bartender and had an excellent pallet for bourbon! Even the most experienced bourbon connoisseur could learn or discover something new through her recommendations! Not as high end as Justin’s HoB, but the experience was far more personal and enjoyable. A must stop to sample and then buy at very reasonable prices!

Went on Thursday night, when they had free wine tastings from 4-7. A nice surprise! The staff was incredibly friendly and the patrons were great. We were from out of town and people struck up a conversation so easily. We found a bourbon there that was sold out in other shops. Great selection of bourbons and wine.

Excellent find! Great selection of local spirits, and they offer you a little taste of your chosen liquor to be sure youre going to like it before purchase. I highly encourage anyone to support this wonderful local business.

The few times we’ve been to Frankfort we always stop here. The staff are welcoming and the bourbon selection is excellent - both to buy and sample. Prices here are excellent and they don’t gouge like so many others. They have some decent small plates if you want a light meal. Capital Cellars is a gem.

The perfect hang out tucked away in downtown Frankfort. My husband and I stopped in to check out the bourbon selection but ended up staying for a couple hours to grab a table, sip on some wine, and enjoy a charcuterie spread. The bartender was wonderful and so helpful in making our selections. You can purchase bottles while in the shop and enjoy them on the spot. We are looking forward to going there again next time we are in the area!

One of my favorite things about Capital Cellars is being able to build your own flight. I like to come here and receive guidance on trying rare spirits I will never find anywhere else. An extra bonus is being able to also choose how heavy or light I want my wallet to be after the flight.The food menu and booze to take home selection is pretty nice too!

Perfect visit!!I decided to stop by Capital Cellars Saturday Nov.14th and had a great experience. The wonderful employee there greeted me and asked if I needed assistance. She patiently walked around with me the whole time. Listened and gave great suggestions on several wines. I lift with several bottles of wine and a delightful Pumpkin Spice whiskey!! I will be back!

This is a great place to visit in the downtown area of Frankfort. They have a great selection of wines, liquors, and beers and also have free wine tasting twice a week. I just recently tried some of the food on their menu and actually thought it was really good. I usually get something to eat nearby but will definitely come back to sample other things.They also have a monthly wine club that I joined and love the selections that they pick and they always have someone very knowledgeable about the wines as well. They dont have a bourbon club but do bourbon classes. Theyve done a great job teaching and promoting bourbon and wine appreciation and are a perfect fit for Frankfort.

My Sister and I stopped in for a visit while visiting Frankfort. Fabulous place. I found several bourbons I couldnt find anywhere in my area. The staff was great. Knowledgeable and friendly. My sister really enjoyed it also. I cant wait until my next visit to Frankfort. This will be my first stop.

One of the best places in downtown Frankfort! Free wine tasting on Thursday and Friday nights. Locals come hang out, sitting outside when then weather is nice. Many bring dogs (outside only!) and hang out, drinking wine and eating a cheese plate or sandwich. Not local or not a regular? Dont worry, theyll make you feel like one. Wide selection of wines, beer and liquor, the employees can always make a good recommendation.

This is such a gem! I love their tastings on Thursdays and Fridays, they had live music at the last one and it was a blast! Make sure if you want outdoor seating on one of those nights that you get there early:)They definitely have a regular crowd who all seem lovely. Great wine, full bar, and I love their food plates. Its exactly what you look for in a place for a glass of wine and a snack. You can also buy beer/wine/liquor here at good prices.The first time I checked out here, the girl behind the counter was super rude and wouldnt even respond to me. However, Ive been back three times since then and havent seen her again and the rest of the people who work there have been above and beyond wonderful.I absolutely recommend checking them out, you wont regret it!

This is the best kept secret on the Bourbon Trail. Its a restaurant, bar, and liquor store. They offer tasty sandwiches and the crab chowder is amazing! The bourbon selection on the bar was fantastic and inexpensive. The liquor store had a great selection of wine including more Kentucky wine then youd think exists. The owner knows her stuff and used to work as a distiller at Buffalo Trace. I found some rare bottles of bourbon on the shelves and made new friends at the bar. Its the perfect place to stop in for lunch or a bourbon flight while visiting the Bourbon Trail. Loved it!!!

Absolutely a great place...sit back and enjoy a bottle of wine and have a snack or sandwich...great atmosphere...the bartender was absolutely fantastic ...I will definitely be back..the Cranberry Spread is to die for...give it a try...I had Country Ham also. very good!!!! I stopped by here on my final night in Frankfort. I wish Id have gone on my first so that I could keep returning. Honestly one of the best bar experiences Ive had, the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, as were the flurry of regulars. The selection of bourbons was excellent, fairly priced and the staff knew about the product. I ended up staying long enough that I had dinner there and the cobb salad was also top notch. Absolutely wonderful place that Id recommend you go out of your way to get to.

One of my favorite places! Love the live piano nights. The absolutely only reason they get a 4 star this time is because I have gone in 3 times to get my red bubbly wine and they have not been in stock!😩 Thinking about buying a case so I dont have this problem. Great wine selection and bourbon selection along with a bar onsite with a fantastic menu of bourbons available to drink right there. Racheal (the owner) was friendly and amazingly knowledgeable about the bourbons she stocks. We will return any time we are in the area.

It was ok. We stopped in to see if they had any semi-rare whiskies I was looking for, they didnt. Decided to grab some craft beer while I was there. Didnt really have a huge selection of local brews Place was charming and the bar was packed, so next time Im in town Ill swing by for a drink and see how that part goes.
