Great service at a great price. I had a cracked pipe. They only did the necessary work and didnt try to sell me up. They gave me a great price! They got me in and on my way in less than 30 minutes! These boneheads must of thought I was stupid because they tried to charge me 170$ for a small cut and weld job that in another place nearby charged less than half for. Scam artist at their best. Dont come here!

My mechanic Frank at Cannon automotive in Franklin park recommended them to me and they did a great job on my 30 year old antique Buick regal... was in and out in 45 minutes replaced the whole exhaust system for a very reasonable price.... I have always heard good things about this muffler shop... have many friends that go there when they need work done. They definitely deserve 5 stars

I went here to get my muffler replaced, & instead of focusing on my muffler mans kept askin me personal questions that didnt apply to my car. Such as, are you colombian? Where are you from? Do you live around here? When I kept asking him how this incorporates with my muffler he then told me it would cost me $350 for the entire thing to be replaced. Unprofessional, & in my opinion a bit much for a muffler. I took my buisness and money elsewhere. Also Ladies DO NOT GO HERE WITHOUT A MALE, these people try to scam you.

My mechanic suspected that I was having issues with my muffler due to a weird smell coming from my car so they referred me to this place. I told them that I am likely having issues with my exhaust. They checked it and did not find anything. I can’t comment on the pricing or quality of mufflers here but I can say that they definitely earned my trust: they could have came up with something to fix but they didn’t. Will definitely be coming back in the future.

I had a horrible exhaust leak and brought my Honda Element over for them to take a look. There was a bit of a wait (about 20 mins) but it was well worth it! They finished 4 cars while I was waiting and fixed my exhaust fairly quickly! Fair prices and good service, I strongly recommend checking this place out!

Quoted over $700 on a catalytic converter on Honda Pilot. Was told to take 3-4 hours for a bolt on cat. The one by the radiator no need to move anything else total of 7 bolts! Lady said it’s not as easy as it looks. Any mechanic knows what I’m talking about

Workers here are unprofessional, got exhaust work done & when completed the employee spun my tires and continued revving my engine. ABSOLUTELY UNACCEPTABLE. DO NOT GO HERE. Oh and forgot to mention I gave the guy a 40 dollar tip before he started.

I had very bad experience with those professionals. Two months ago they changed 2 gaskets on my muffler on my Toyota Sienna!They said The problem comes from the gaskets so we have to change them! I paid $ 170 and they finished for 20 mins. Month later I was to my mechanic to change my oil. What I saw that they put only special silicone onto my old gasket. The bolts were with rust. They looked like never been taken.They didnt took them out to change that gasket they put just silicone on top. They never changed that gasket but I paid for that . I still have noise from the muffler, especially every morning when I start my engine.They are liers! Be careful with that place.

Never going there again!Yesterday I went in there for new flex pipe and dropped the car off because I was on my lunch break(BIG MISTAKE)!! When I went back to pick it up they charged me the $160 for flex pipe installation. I leave and maybe an hour into driving my traction and ABS light goes on. Today I lift the car up and see that they only welded two piles together no flex pipe what so ever! I go back and I get nothing but attitude from the lady at the front desk! She starts explaining to me how I have to have respect and wait my turn. She is talking to me about respect as if they had any when they overcharged me and didnt even weld the correct part! My turn comes and the short guy comes to me and starts explaining how he put something better that was more expensive. So I once again tell him I want a flex pipe and since the pipes they put were more expensive I ask if there will be money return?!? Of course I get nothing but lies again! Now i still have the traction and ABS light on and since reading other review Im starting to speculate that they might have indeed damaged some parts so I go back!! Never will I do that again! I cannot believe that this location hasnt been shut down just reading off of the comments people are leaving! Word of advice STAY AWAY!

Drove in and explained to them that my muffler was rattling. They told me I had a bad muffler and had the option to choose between magnaflow and flowmaster. Went with flowmaster and everything was finish in about half an hour. Will repeat return for future muffler work.

Honestly the cheapest place i can find on muffler repairs, they always give me a warranty. If I need a welding job done Ill bring it here too.Edit: Ive taken 4 cars here now for muffler repairs and they always are fairly priced. The work holds up and I even started getting my oil changed here.

3 stars, because even though they get the work done and the prices are fair, I absolutely cannot stand the way the speak to you. There seems to always be a bit of an attitude (not my first time here). He pulled me in to the shop to tell me what was wrong with my car and to tell me how to resolve it. Mind you, that was one of the first things I told him before he even looked at my car.Anyway, a part of the exhaust (right near the clamp after the catalytic converter) rusted through, they needed to cut off a couple of inches of piping and weld in a replacement piece.$45, solid price!

I always take my cars to them for oil changes and muffler repair, because fair prices, but I sent my wife for oil change they charged her 5$ more then what they usually charge me. and I called asking why it was more, they said was because they had to remove a cover, (wich it doesnt )have so I told her that I was not gonna go any more because they took advantage of my wife, Im mad because they lied to my wife they should just said they went up on price, but no they didnt go up because I asked what was their prices, anyway she said it was fine to lose my business for $5 and they didnt just loose my business but my family and friend too.

Customer service is deplorable. Today I witnessed as the employee of the place who refused to give up her name, was very rude and shouted to a client who was claiming a warranty in one of the parts they replaced in his car. Jaime the mechanic also acted very disrespectful with the customer. They dont keep records of the receipts they provide to the customers and perform discrepancies in the vehicles they fix as well their files.

I went to this place because I needed a new catalytic converter. I paid top dollar for them to put a new one on for me. A week after the installation, I noticed that my car had a check engine light and that the catalytic converter was getting super red and hot. I took my car back to them and explained the problem to them. The rude lady working at the front desk told me they couldnt help me because the catalytic converter was compromised and that it would not be covered under the warranty. Avoid at all costs. Pay $50 dollars more elsewhere to have the job done properly! BEWARE!

Clean establishment, just learned Velasquez & Sons Mufflers have been around for over 30 years! Very honest and professional.

I have been going to this muffler shop since it opened, Never an issue and usually I get fast, friendly service. Well, today was different!! Different and NOT in a good way. I was rudely told (with no signage by the way) to go next door into a turn-around and wait for someone to come out. The gentlemen who told me this was very rude and could NOT seem to care less about my cars issues (car needs exhaust). I then pulled my car into the turn-around and waited and waited and waited. Meanwhile, a guy in a pearl white Ford pickup with a sulkie in the back pulls into the turn around lot, backs in and 4 guys from the muffler shop proceed to greet him (while ignoring me and the car in back of me (who also got tired of waiting and later left even before I did). The shop guys all went to his truck, removed the sulkie and then walked back right into the shop (again, ignoring me and the guy in back of me in the red Ford). Well the guy in back of me, he had enough and left and I stayed another 10 minutes ONLY to be continuously ignored. I finally left after it seemed it was more important to tend to a sulkie in the Ford pickup than it was to my muffler. I will NOT be going back to a place that is both RUDE and ignores their customers. By the way, the young lady in the office who has been there awhile and who is normally friendly and efficient was more interested in talking to the mat guy who was dropping off floor mats than helping a paying customer. I dont get that at all?? Senor Velazquez, you really need to clean house there.

Let me 1st say each location is independently owned and operated, I have used other facilities in the city (Chicago) and been extremely happy with the service.The Franklin Park facility is the horse of a different color. I went in knowing I have a hole in my muffler, another hole in the tailpipe and a broken hangar above the rear axle on a older model Infinity SUV.They were adament on selling an entire exhaust system on a vehicle with 250K miles when all I needed was a bandaid for a few months.I ended up paying a nominal fee 75.00 and really its about The same as far as the noise.Possibly it was a language barrier but what I belive is this location does not care if you come back or not only interested in selling new components period.I fully intend on writing a letter to corporate and ask if the mission statement has changed with Velasquez & Sons because there are lots of competition in this industry who are willing to work with the customer and do some spot welding here and there with no warranty just to get by.If your near a Midas or Merlins, or any other neighborhood shop consider going there over the Franklin Park location, there is no cost savings to be had here.
