Love coming here and order the matzah ball soup and a club sandwich. The waiters are nice and will adapt/ substitute any of the orders to your needs with minimal fuss. The atmosphere is art-deco and they play tons of oldies to respect the heyday of the classic fifties Diner’s vibe. It’s a must stop when leaving out of Long Island and please enjoy this good Diner.

This diner has become one of our go-to diners. Its clean, the food is excellent, its open late, and the service is consistent and helpful. Cant really go wrong with anything here, but I recently got the eggs with corned beef hash and it was fantastic if youre there for breakfast.

9/23/18 We went there today, as always, was excellent. We ordered the Baby Lamb Chops (YUM), Romanian steak, and Fried Shrimp. All our meals were delicious, and honestly, as good as any restaurant. Nice people and very friendly service. :)Our first review from last year: Friendly service, yummy food.... we had the deluxe cheeseburger... delicious... it was served on a small round (pizza?) tray and the fries were in a small deep fry basket?.. really cute presentation. .. there are a lot of places around here you could go have Lunch, this place is definitely worth a second trip. .. really enjoyed it. ..

This was my first time at this diner. The staff there are quite courteous and professional. I felt bad not leaving a tip as I was rushing to do an exam 😏. The cleanliness inside and outside of this place was very impressive. I felt very comfortable and there was nothing to hinder me from eating there. However, the food is not my kind of food which is probably a cultural thing. I am accustom to spices, adequate salt, flavour, etc. It wasnt a big deal as my hunger got satisfied for the time being.

The atmosphere is wonderful with the sounds of old 50 60s music playing as well as some 70s music that I wish they turned up a little bit more to cancel out some people in there that were on the phone instead of just being in, States for people will by themselves it was a little bit annoying at that but despite all that the place was wonderful I will go there again for breakfast if I have a chance or lunch as much as I realize that theyre not going to really put it on the menu they should at least put it there to let people know that if you want grits just ask them overall I would recommend this place to anybody if they want to have a stop for a quick bite or pick up because you can take out and they deliver and or have a seat and enjoy the place either by yourself or with some other people would not be surprised if the place was really hopping during lunch time in to dinner time. All of this season servers help me choose what was on the menu was patient with me and then he didnt really have to be but it was helpful didnt make me have to feel like I have to be in a rush to leave. The staff is attentive in this diner. I visited this place for a business breakfast. I felt rushed to order. I ended up choosing something quick... A waffle. My wife ordered a French toast but it was different from expected. Overall, the experience could have been better.

Good breakfast. I went for my staple diner breakfast... 2 over easy, hash, home fries. The corned beef hash is really good. They need to man the counter better. There was a conga line forming to pay the bill.

After a hiatus residents eagerly greeted the reopening of this community staple by coming in with hungry tummies and robust desires. Conveniently located on Hempstead Turnpike, serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner any time of day, youll enjoy the meal. We headed there after a meeting. So it was a bit late for lunch but never too late for a burger and fries. The meal was delicious and looking forward to going back!

Ordered a tea. Came in a nice big mug. Also ordered 2 eggs over medium with hash browns well done with white toast and a short stack. Everything came out hot and tasted good. They didnt rush me. They were friendly and I would definitely go back to try more of the menu.

I am so glad this place reopened as the Franklin Square Diner. It is right around the corner from my house and super convenient. I have eaten there many time and have yet to be disappointed. The food is always fresh and tasty and the staff is super friendly. Its hands down the best diner in the neighborhood.

Great family diner with a great staff amd management. Peter is a great manager and makes sure that every single.customer leaves there happy and well fed. The food is FANTASTIC breakfast lunch dinner or even just a cup of coffee and a slice of cake all of the food is always spot on. Love it and will be going there for a long time.

Going here is always a great experience. The food at any time of the day is delicious and theres wonderful service. The servers are nice and great conversationalists when its not too busy. I recommend the paninis and the omelet/pancake combo. Yum!

Food was plentiful, atmosphere was upbeat, the restaurant is very clean, and the service is impeccable. I highly recommend this restaurant. Although it says its a diner, there is a very very wide menu that you have to choose from. And weve been there a couple of times and the food everything we have tried has been delicious.

After experiencing a horrible Diner the night before my husband and I went to the Franklin Square Diner great 50s music was playing we were greeted and seated quite promptly given an extensive menu. People came over to ask if we wanted anything to drink it was water Etc the bread that was given to us was heated and seasoned Pita drizzled with olive oil which was delicious both of our dishes came out quite promptly or ample correct and very tasty. This Diner had a wonderful sugar-free dessert and also has a gluten-free dessert listed on the menu so they do try to help their customers with conditions. Absolutely would recommend this Diner it is open 24 hours 7 days a week

New owners bring a new life to this diner. Food is good (lots of choices) and we really enjoyed being served by George. Hes not only friendly and attentive, but you can tell he loves his job and is an entertaining force.

What a great experience! I have been there a few times and the food, service and hospitality were more than a cut above. I was there a week ago and they have a brunch special menu that is fantastic! Must try the crusted french toast with maple butter. I will definitely keep this place in my rotation.

We were seated and then just waited and waited for too long before waiter came. we wanted pancakes and they were not the greatest Ive had much better than that. we hadnt come in a while we used to go to this diner but we figured wed give it another chance but its just not as good as other diners

If it werent for the hostess. I wouldnt be giving this dinner 3 stars. The food was cold. The waiter barely came to check on us and it wasnt even busy. I hope that hostess left. She was way too pretty and outgoing to be around miserable people like that. Time to close down.

Small diner. Mostly booths. The section that does have tables has TOO many. They need to get rid of at least one do that people can have room to be comfortable.

Just had a bacon cheddar burger on on a brioche bun that was cooked to perfection. Even the water with lemon tasted better. Filtered I guess. Peter the owner/partner came by and chatted with me and made me feel very welcome. Service from my waiter joe was also great. He was very attentive. Definitely worth coming back to.

This place is amazing. The first time I was there the server was super friendly and attentive and the food was great! I got a burger and they brand the diner initials in the bun. The second time I was there it was New Years Day, and even though the place was packed, we still received wonderful service and food.

We were there for breakfast and we love the place is very cozy and clean, the waitress was very nice and well very hospitable, we sat down and right away they brought coffee and our order came out fast and it was delicious and hot, prices are reasonable and food is plenty. I recommend the place is so hard to find good food and good service in the same place.

Great old style diner with old style service and personality. Ordered a skirt steak, chicken marsala and Greek salad (all family style) between me, my wife and 3 year old daughter and it was delicious. The waiter brought everything to our table within 10 minutes of ordering and the bus boy filled our glasses with fresh ice water every time they got past half way full. The menu gives you lots of choices and we will be back to sample more.

Started coming here a few months ago now were weekly customers. Almost always a top notch meal. My favorites: French toast, lentil soup, chicken Cesar wrap, sweet potato fries and the coleslaw is amazing. They have the best crispy chicken for the wraps. Not a fan of the Romanian steak for the wraps/sandwiches- was greasy and fatty. Breakfast specials during the week until 11 are a great deal and always delicious, home fries are awesome. Best deal they have is on LocalFlavor/ groupon where you purchase a voucher for $15 and get $30 off your meal. Great coffee and milkshakes as well!

Terrible experience. Our order came two hours late. When we called to find out what had happened with our order we were greeted by an attitude asked for no information and offered no apology. The excuse that they only have a few drivers. Never telling us where our order was or a time frame we would receive it. When we finally got our order the delivery man was nasty and said something along the lines of “all this for you and nothing for me” under his breath. Which I didn’t feel the need to explain to him that the tip was already process with our order. The food was poor quality and that wasn’t just because it was clearly packaged poorly and sitting in a car for a long period of time. I expected better seeing as how we had such a large order for our family that was visiting. Which only made it embarrassing to try and explain why they were eating a breakfast we ordered in the morning in the afternoon. Just an awful place, I don’t always go out of my way to write reviews especially bad ones since I understand it’s someone’s means to make a living but the treatment, service, and food we received is unacceptable. So I feel the need to prevent someone else from having the same experience. We will not be doing business with this establishment ever again. I strongly suggest you do the same. Went for lunch. Had the lunch special - spinach pie, Greek salad, soup, and rice pudding. The food was excellent and so was the service. Im very happy and satisfied.

The food is excellent and large portions, the prices are very affordable and its a very clean diner. The only drawback is that they dont have much of a parking lot. Maybe 16 parking spaces.

I ordered the triple decker chicken sandwich. On the menu it says marinaded chicken breast but did not taste like it was marinaded. Very dry. Lickily theres ketchup, hot sauce and mayo.

Bland food, I mean its breakfast how do you mess up breakfast. I went here because they had good reviews I dont know why. We had whole wheat pancakes and banana pancakes, whole wheat were raw and the banana were so bland not even syrup could help. The only reason why they got two stars is because of customer service.

First time customer. I ordered a delivery thru seamless. the turkey dinner with stuffing gravy cranberry was great! The stuffing was the best stuffing I had in a long time. It was homemade with a Wow reaction one bite. Flavor spices cinnamon garlic raisin maybe nutmeg ? I asked owner what spices but he said its a special recipe! I asked if its made like this all the time he said yes. And I asked if he had this at Thanksgiving too. I told him I would be buying again. I would have liked more gravy with the order, which was also good. The cranberry sauce was ok wish it was homemade. I wouldnt get the cranberry next time. The stuffing is too homemade and the cranberry is like other diners. Once in a while I can find cranberry relish with walnuts that would have made this dinner blend better. The bean tomato soup was also very good!

I was exceedingly disappointed when our food came out. My wifes cheese fries were overcooked and the cheese was seemingly not fresh. My buffalo wigs were not. Buffalo wings are supposed to be saucy, not dry, breaded things. To their credit, they exchanged mine for a decent burger and redid my wifes better a second time, and the staff was friendly over all. But I felt they should have given us a break on the check for our trouble. They didnt. For a disappointing attempt at a quick late night snack there goes $20 and 45 minutes well never get back.
