It was everything we heard about online. We had the bonuts (to die for) and I had the East Nasty ... a flaky buttery homemade biscuit topped with a mouthwatering juicy and crunchy perfectly cooked chicken thigh, scratch made gravy, and scrambled eggs cooked to perfection. Both were amazing and we left full and happy. All of the food simply delicious! Even the freshly squeezed OJ. The place was beautiful and the service was amazing. Great start to our day.
Best brunch in Nashville. The location is great, the service is awesome, my company was amazing ❤, I didnt care for sitting in the direct sunlight but that was my choosing. The food was delicious. My experience was outstanding. I ordered the east nasty and my fiancé ordered the hungry man bowl and the biscuits and gravy. And a side of their bacon. My iced latte was perfect. It doesnt get much better than this. This restaurant is a MUST TRY. And my new favorite.
The B-roll was outstanding and I dont even like cinnamon rolls. You definitely can share it with 2 people.Beautiful converted house downtown Franklin. Only issue when initially ordering (which you do right as you step in the door) was no ramp for my mom and her wheelchair. She is able to walk up steps but it is not easy. There is a back section that possibly has a ramp back there. We also wish we had looked at the back before sitting...looks like an awesome setting.
Solid little restaurant in Franklin. We went for breakfast and most of us had entrees involving biscuits.....fancy that! Meal was very good, biscuit was best part of meal. Owner and staff were very attentive, but Im not a fan of the walk-up style ordering and then finding your own table. Its fine for fast-food, but not for a true sit-down restaurant. Huge outdoor courtyard area, so dont be discouraged if tables inside are all taken.
We ordered the East Nast, fried chicken and a biscuit and it was really good. Also, the cinnamon roll was yummy. The bonuts were dense and not very flavorful. The host was helpful and great at taking the order. The floor where we sat was really dirty. The restored home that Biscuit Love is in is gorgeous. Also, we got a single biscuit was which was flakey and pretty good. The service was ok from there. Glad we tried it but if I really want killer biscuits and a lot of them Id head to The Loveless Cafe.
Nice breakfast/brunch location in downtown Franklin close to the roundabout. Parking can be a bit of a pain, and expect to wait in line if you come on a weekend after 9am. We typically wait 15 minutes. The B-Roll with all the toppings is so delicious and presents as an absolute cardiovascular dilemma. It is so sugary and delectable. I wouldnt reccomend getting it often. The Southern Biscuits and Gravy come with normal sunny-side-up eggs instead of poached eggs. They are okay, but weve had better in Brentwood. I do think the pricing for what you get is a bit steep, but thats probably because of the location.Indoor seating is a bit claustrophobic and echo-y in different rooms. If the weather is nice, request to sit outside. Youll also feel less rushed to leave.COVID-19 UPDATE: Masks are required when away from seat and waiting in line. 6 feet distance apart is impossible here, but they do try by having markers on the ground outside and inside. Tables are so close together, you could literally reach behind you or next to you and touch someone. They do disinfect between each set of customers.
First time I’ve ever been here, and these were the best biscuits I’ve had in forever. Home cooked food, decently priced for the quality and service of the restaurant. The atmosphere is gorgeous, clean, and organized. Staff was very friendly and even bothered to learn the names of their guests; they were very attentive to their guests and their needs. I haven’t seen food service like this in forever, especially quality of the food. I don’t mind waiting 10 minutes or so for food, if it means it’s all fresh and homemade. Biscuit Love really is made with love.
Here is the problem with reviewing places that are known for their biscuits. Everyone in the south likes their biscuits made differently. So, a perfect biscuit to one person is dry to someone else. Therefore, I will just lay down some facts about this restaurant and let you make up your own mind.First, the place is ADORABLE inside and out. It has an excellent charm to it and when its busy, this place feels like youre at a family reunion at your Grandmas house. Lots of chatter, everyone is eating in every room in the house.Second, the are expensive. Just over $14 for biscuit with gravy, egg on top and a cup of coffee.3rd. My biscuit was hard to cut at the bottom. No, it wasnt burnt. It was a beautiful golden brown. It was just hard. Perhaps it was made early in the morning and sat out too long? Idk. Im not a baker.I felt the need to salt and pepper the gravy. There could have been more gravy.Egg was expertly cooked.Would I come again? Probably not. Would I bring someone who has never been to Franklin before? Probably.
Went to biscuit love because I was starving so anything should have tasted amazing. Staff was friendly but the food is just not good I got the East Nasty and couldnt even stomach the chicken ( and believe me for 12 bucks I tried hard) the gravy had no flavor and was cold. The biscuit was good (nothing special but good ) will not go back I agree with the others who say the setup is bad if there were available staff I would have asked for something to replace the inedible chicken with but sadly not so.
The B-Roll is the best cinnamon role Ive ever had - light and flaky and not overly sweet.
We are visiting from Minnesota and heard about this place from family. Such a wonderful place to have lunch. Ordering was fast and easy. Lots of seating. Food was delivered in less then 2 minutes and oh my goodness it was so very perfect! We had the biscuits and gravy with a side of crispy bacon. I want to come back every morning we are here visiting. Thank you for a lovely lunch!
I’m not one of those “machismo” men. So I had no issues with ordering the Princess biscuit today. And boy, I’m glad I did. I was so eager to slam my face into the food that I neglected to take a picture of it.I took a screenshot of the Princess listed on the menu. The hot chicken on it is super crispy and super tasty!Even though the drip coffee is a little less-than, I did love everything else about this local spot. The service is stellar and the restaurant is well maintained. I’d go back in a second.
We were excited to try Biscuit Love, based on the reviews it seemed like it was going to be an amazing food experience. Unfortunately, it didnt meet our expectations. The location was beautiful and staff was very nice. But there are far way better places to go eat then Biscuit Love. Just okay.
Hi. I actually went here for a job interview. Unfortunately I did not get the job. LOL But while I was waiting I did look over the menu, and see a lot of their food go by the table I was waiting at. They do have a machine that squeezes fresh orange juice for you thats pretty cool. The food looked and smelled delicious, their menu was very very large. They offer a lot of breakfast foods as they are only open till 3:00 p.m.I was also told they have a very large outside patio area, so if you dont feel like being enclosed or you just feel like sitting outside thats a nice option. I live very close to biscuit love, I will definitely have to go back and try their food. Thank you
First time trying Biscuit Love and I enjoyed it. I tried the kids size Bananas Foster Oatmeal and their customer favorite East Nasty. The Biscuit Love oat blend, coconut milk, caramelized banana jam, fresh bananas and pecans were very good and interesting but I prefer the traditional style oatmeal with brown sugar. The buttermilk biscuit topped with fries boneless chicken THIGH, aged cheddar and sausage gravy was also good. Emphasis on chicken thigh is mine. I know some people dont eat dark meat and I read over it assuming a breast until I started eating it. I liked it fine though I saw no clues to any aged cheddar. It was mildly spicy from either the chicken batter or more likely the sausage gravy. I also had the fruit tea which was delicious. The location in an old house a block from the Franklin square is very nice. Its a fast casual experience where you order and pay at the counter just inside the front door then find your own place to sit. If you see a long line outside, it is most likely due to the tiny standing area before ordering. Enjoy!
This place let me just say was well worth trying out! We had the bonuts, sec, and cheesy potatoes. All of there food was great our favorite was the bonuts. When we walked up to the restaurant Tony was on the porch directing everyone he was friendly and to the point. Very different then what most people call “the set up”. It seems to work very well for them. Enjoyed this place and there staff!
Perfect spot to eat with the family or date. I love to eat inside or outside in the garden. The menu is delicious. Nobody has has not liked their menu item. They are not just biscuits they have gigantic cinnamon rolls, shrimp and creamy grits. I love this hidden gem.
Great food! Line went quick. We highly recommend the B roll! Best in town.
You stand in line and then give your order when you get to the door. The staff will serve your food and they are very friendly and attentive. The food was fresh and reasonably priced and everything came out hot! The line moves fairly quickly and once you place your order, you dont wait long for food. Would have liked it better if we couldve ordered coffee or a drink while we waited in line. Would come again!
In a word...Amazing! Best southern breakfast in a charming old home. Well be back next time we come through Franklin.Make sure to add the Chronic bacon, and get the cinnamon roll. You wont be disappointed.
A bit different when it comes to waiting and ordering but it was effective. The food was brought out quickly and was really good. Well done guys and girls!
New to this locations but i must say very nice.
Food and vibe here was great. Will definitely come back here again. The shrimp and grits were delicious and I will order again.
Biscuit Love food is tasty. Attentive, friendly staff. Housed in beautiful old home. Nice to sit outside under covered patio. Much more pleasant experience than Nashville Gulch. Easy walk to Franklin City Center & DT shopping.
The patio is pet friendly which is nice to know if you want to bring your pups. CHECK THE MENU. they change their menu seasonally. (this time of year - August- they only have 2 options for the littles). we had a delicious breakfast.
I stumbled on Biscuit Love and glad I did. So the biscuits are the Star, but the latte $4 doesn’t play second fiddle. The Southern Bunny $11 is “biscuits and gravy” on steroids. Eggs Benedict with a southern twist. Hey, it’s Tennessee, what else should you expect!? Great taste and worth the calories. Skip dessert tonight to make up for it....and you’ll thank me!
Out of towners eager to visit this restaurant, but disappointed. Our breakfast was apparently left on the the prep table until cold. I mean Cold! Grits, eggs and much awaited biscuit. Very disappointing and shameful.
This was our SECOND time to Biscuit Love in Franklin this year (and were from Minnesota - yes its THAT good!)We love the quaint charm (and the Dolly Parton bathroom!) at the Franklin location. The staff has been so hospitable and kind both times weve visited :)The food is absolutely delicious. The bo-nuts with berry compote are a personal favorite of mine ❤️ my husband ordered the Nashville Hot Chicken & biscuits both times! I just missed the 11am cutoff for the oatmeal, so I guess that means well have to come back again - SO SO GOOD!!!!
This Biscuit Love location on downtown Franklin is at an old house and is beautiful. Food is good and coffee is good as well. Great customer service. We came on a Saturday of the Pilgrim festival and it wasnt that busy. We waited on line for five minutes and for the food for about the same. Will come back to this location!
Very cute building. Service was fast and food was delicious.
Stopped here for breakfast with the family. Ordered at the counter and food was brought to us. My family opted to sit inside, instead of sitting outside (right now you can order and pick-up curbside as well). The reason for 4 stars is because of gluttony. Place is known for its biscuits [and gravy]. I honestly thought there would be more sausage gravy on my biscuit, especially for $8.50.The hubby, eldest son and myself ordered the Biscuit & Sausage Gravy with egg (which is $2.00 extra). The flavor was on point and definitely no complaints about the flavor.Youngest son ordered the Kids French Toast. He gobbled it up! Five stars for that!! He’s a kid that never eats. So great job!We also ordered Bonuts to go. They are also delicious! I personally didn’t like the blueberry compote, but my family did. The lemon mascarpone was yummmmy!EVERYONE was super friendly. Great hospitality. ❤️Parking is available on the street.
Contrary to the name, the Nashville Hot Chicken Princess Biscuit was a beast. It was the perfect combination of sweet honey and spicy chicken with pickles. I personally enjoyed it alongside a spicy Bloody Mary and it gave my morning the perfect kick that I needed to have a wonderful and productive day. Ill be back again very soon!
Horrible service. Waited in a short line for 60 minutes. For 30 of those minutes no one was taking orders at all. No communication to the line as of why it was at a complete stand still. Food was delicious. No apologies or communication on the wait. Thankfully our second 30 minutes or so we were finally inside instead of the extremely hot enclosed (by curtains) porch.
Beautiful breakfast spot, best biscuits we’ve ever had. Got the biscuits and sausage gravy and it was spot on. Even my 2 year old enjoyed running around the outdoor path.
One of my very favorite parts of traveling is discovering local places to try new foods - and I’m glad we found Biscuit Love. The location is very charming and trendy, all the employees were friendly, attentive, and willing to answer any and all questions. And the food? It was delicious! My Dad and I had the Princess and my Mom ordered the East Nasty - no one had any complaints and it was all pretty phenomenal. I liked the fact that they used thigh (not breast) meat on the chicken biscuits; though I will mention that, even though the biscuits were yummy, they seemed to be more of a hybrid blend of biscuit and yeast roll. Different, but delicious all the same. Everything was cooked perfect and arrived at the table fresh and hot in a timely fashion - we didn’t wait long at all. Tea was also yummy. I’ll be back next time I’m in town!
Such a fantastic place! My family and I came visiting out of town and immediately connected with staff. The staff was so pleasant and would come again just to receive that service, the food was delivered within 10min of us sitting down. The food was so good, Ill never look at biscuits and gravy the same ever again!
This location is situated inside of an old house. Its cute but doesnt feel done. I prefer the location in the Gulch because everything (design, atmosphere, music) feels like its all on the same level. Also, the day we visited, theu were fertilizing and it smelled horrendous walking up to the door.
Travelled to Tennessee from Illinois for a soccer tournament. Had a recommendation from a very good friend. She said this was a must go place. She was absolutely right! What a wonderful spot. A warm and friendly reception at the door started off our adventure. A great explanation of the menu helped guide us to some exceptional choices. The service was quick and and the food was well presented. We decided to share two sandwiches and a sharable. We had the East Nasty, the Lily, and the Humming Bird Reserve. We started with The Humming Bird which was warm and delicious then segwayed into the two sandwiches. The transition from sweet to savory was divine. Overall this was absolutely worth the trip and I would come back to this area just for another chance to eat at this wonderful restaurant.
With parents visiting, we decided to have breakfast here after hearing so many good things by about it. Plus the building is super cute and as an interior designer with a dad how appreciates architecture and art, we though it was the perfect place for a nice meal. We only got as far as the counter. The service was awful. Instead of a greeting we got a “put on your mask.” Fine, we did, but that caused my dad to run out and throw up. Then while we waited for him, not knowing what was going on, our baby pulled off my husbands mask because 1 yr olds play peek-a-boo. Immediately “PUT ON YOUR MASK.” Seriously? Are we in boot camp? Are the servers drill sergeants? We turned around and left. Went across the street to a wonderful breakfast place, had an amazing breakfast with no one yelling at us. Since them, we’ve taken all of our family and friends that come to town across the street, and no where near the horrible service at Biscuit “Love.”
Dont be scared by the line when you pull up. It moves relatively quickly since you order, then sit down. By the time we received our drinks, the food was basically on the table. All of the food was really good, but youll certainly pay a premium for it. This is a good place to go for a special occasion, but ~$50 for breakfast for 2 is steep.
So good, I cant wait to go again! Try the bruleed grapefruit, amazing!
Wasnt impressed at all. Way over priced for what it was. The staff was super friendly and helpful though.
Bonuts! Of my goodness! You have to try this business. The food is wonderful and the service supreme.
Great southern breakfast spot. Loved the historical home! Will return!
Not a great Biscuit Love experience. In my opinion its more of a Tourist Trap restaurant with great marketing + branding - but mediocre food.Heres why.- Long Lines to get in - took us 45 min to get in. This is not unusual.- Expensive middling food. Im happy to pay more money for good food - but $19 for the East Nasty + Cheesy Potatoes + Fruit Tea? Dang. If it tasted amazing Id have been fine with the price! For example, Im happy to spend money at Ruby Sunshine in Franklin! Wayy better food for the same price.Food.Bonuts - good but nothing to write home about. Save the $7.50 and go to Five Daughters up the road in the Factory.East Nasty - the chicken wasnt too good - texture was a bit weird and I honestly struggled to eat it. I ate it but it was more out of sympathy for my wallet. The gravy and biscuit was decent, but not out of this world. Americana Taphouse and Frothy Monkey in Franklin have better biscuits. For a restaurant called Biscuit Love youd expect phenomenonal biscuits.Cheesy potatoes - these were pretty good! Too much pepper though.Fruit Tea - Delicious.Hand squeezed orange juice: it was served room temperature without ice. One sip and it was a big no. We took it home and put it in the fridge for a few hours. Tasted pretty delicious ice cold. Yum!Wish I couldve experienced that in the restaurant.Dining AreaIt was warmer inside than outside - which made dining rather miserable. Conclusion: Save your money and eat elsewhere in Franklin. Ruby Sunshine, Five Daughters, Pucketts, and Frothy Monkey are all much better Franklin alternatives.
Food was so filling and delicious. Service was awesome! Great job guys.
A bit on the spendy side but well worth it. Amazing food and great wait staff, despite what other reviewers have said. And there IS a tip jar at the first desk where you order, but only because the tips are split evenly between everyone there. You walk back by it as you leave so you can easily tip on your way out or... do what we did and ask the waiter if it was ok to leave the tip on the table... Which we did.
Great place to get some breakfast. Employees are awesome.
Such a cute place to eat breakfast or brunch at! I got the princess which was delicious though i wish it was a little bit spicier. I also enjoyed that they have sparkling water on tap that you are able to serve yourself. Overall such a fun and cute place to eat at!
The Nashville hot chicken biscuit with local honey and a glass of fresh squeezed OJ hit the spot
I love this historic house and the delicious food they serve in it. I had the biscuits and gravy and cheesy grits and both were excellent. The sausage gravy is out of this world.
Great cheesy grits, great layered biscuits and Peach jam. Not a huge fan of the tiny space and high ceilings. Just amplifies the noise, and getting out of the door was a pain, as thats where the line was to the register.
Line moved quickly and the food was good as always. The bonuts are a must! My bacon was slightly undercooked, prefer it a bit more crispy but still good! Love the fresh OJ!
Waited 30 minutes in the grueling sun to get inside. Over 1/2 of the tables were empty. Big holdup was only 1 person can order food at a time. Waiter only came by our table once about 5 minutes after we sat down. Had to go back to cash register to get drinks refills after the person in line finished ordering their meal. Food was fabulous!
Very delicious! Grabbed a Hummingbird (while visiting town) to go and my wife and I enjoyed it! Very moist! Each room has sparkling and flat water on tap which is very cool! I included photos.
Fantastic spot for brunch. Had several vegetarian-friendly options (which is important for me). The biscuits really are fantastic. I dont have the baking vocabulary but they have a crisp layered texture. The staff are great and they have a good system in place for COVID safety.
Was great to go to because it was a new place for us..Fruit drink there is awesome...great dishes for breakfast and lunch...really good vegan bowl..great chicken sandwich with biscuits and gravy...good potatoes..nice place ..really beautiful house with great architecture and pleasant surroundings!! You will enjoy...!.
Great food. Its was fast and you could taste the homemade flavors and the love put into the food. Drove 9 hrs and was worth every bite.
Excellent breakfast place. Great food options and free coffe refills. The atmosphere is ver pleasant being in an old victorian home with a covered outdoor seating area.
Excellent food and huge discount for military WI th ID card
This place is great... Besides the great food I get the opportunity to work in the kitchen every so often at all three locations in a service capacity and Ill tell you that those are three of the cleanest kitchens I service making it a pleasure do work... Lol Anyway I highly recommend any of the Biscuit Love locations.
2 stars because the service was very good. Employees were really friendly and accommodating. But speed of service and food quality was really bad. They’re supposed to be known for their biscuits but they were burnt. The coffee was also highly acidic.
They have items explicitly marked as to go only- push ordering online- don’t actually let you order online. Only dine in. Not worth the time or effort.
I would have given them a 3.5. Place where u order food & then sit down. In an old Victorian historical house. Got there at 1:30 on a Monday. Hardly anyone there. Orange juice was great but tiny & very expensive. Our food was dropped off & no one came back to check to see if we needed anything & I needed butter for my biscuit. Finally I flagged down someone. No one offered to refill friends coffee. My scrambled eggs were overcooked & dried out. However, my bacon was fantastic. The hash brown casserole was scrumptious. But Ive had better biscuits. My companions food was just okay.
I really debated 4 or 5 stars, but ultimately this place is wonderful and I did love it and will return - so 5. The best things about it: sausage gravy on the east nasty sandwich is so tasty, and the potato casserole was incredible. My husband spent no less than 10 minutes trying to figure out how a cheesy potato casserole (1) had so much delicious herby flavor and (2) felt light. The reason I debated 4 or 5 stars is that we didnt love the biscuits - which is disappointing. They were fine, but just fine. We tried the bonuts, and I loved them. Husband was less impressed but hes not big on sweets. The jam on the plate was a big hit with both of us - if werent flying we would have tried to buy some. Overall definitely recommend stopping here if youre in Franklin.
