The Driver today was exceptional at eastern Propane. He called me to to let me know that my propane promotional rate had little left, so he let me know that he was doing two tickets so i can take advantage of the promotional rate. This information allowed me to call the office and make sure i was being charged appropriately. It is very much appreciated when someone goes out of their way to help someone!! Way to go Rob!!

I called Eastern Propane today about a minor gas smell under our stove and they sent someone out right away. Jeff Tufts took care of the problem very quickly, replacing and tightening some fittings. He also reset our stove burners to more appropriate levels. Pretty happy about that...no more pots boiling over!

Had a great experience with Eastern today. We received prompt (same-day) delivery when we realized that the tanks were empty. Paul (delivery) was knowledgeable, and very helpful in recognizing that we might benefit from having a technician take a look at an issue that we were having. The technician -- Jeff Tufts -- went above and beyond to help resolve the issue. We were lucky someone with his experience was on hand. Cannot thank them both enough for their help this afternoon. I bought an old house in a Boston suburban town where no natural gas available.I need to convert everything to propane. So I shopped around. I’m a kindof picky guy, when comes to housing projects. So far I am very happy with the service eastern provided! Professional team with pro service.Special thanks goes to Mr. Jeff Tufts. His excellent work ethics is a rear find now a days! Mr. Tufts is a kind of person that take things one extra mile further!

Jeff Tufts restarted our pool heater in May and took the time to fully check the pilot and heat exchanger which gave us problems last season. He explained everything to us in detail. Very knowledgeable and thorough.

Additionally, Kathy, my customer service representative, did an excellent job, when there was a scheduling problem to get Jeff routed to my house to do the service call, when the original tech could not get here. Jeff Tufts was able to replace the entire interior of my gas fireplace and even get the old remote control to work on the new set up (which was manual). His work was great, and left the area very tidy considering the messy aspect of this job. He was professional and had great communication with us every step of the way.

Jeff, the fireplace serviceman, did a superior job of cleaning, checking, identifying, and fixing what was causing one fireplace to smell and another fireplace to emit soot on the exterior of our house. This involved taking two fireplaces apart, testing for emissions and putting them back together. Jeff thoroughly cleaned a third insert fireplace as well. Now all fireplaces are clean and operate perfectly. BTW:Jeff put down a tarp in front each fireplace so everywhere he worked the area was kept clean. Jeff also explained his findings for each fireplace and shared some tips about operating the fireplaces. I highly recommend Jeff to service any fireplace!

Eastern Propane has been nothing but absolutely helpful and supportive for my pool heater problem… They were incredibly responsive and set up a technician to come out and fix the problem. Jeff came out and changed out the heater valve and the igniter on my Hayward pool heater. He also changed all of the plumbing and painted everything as well. Absolutely incredible! Great job and I will be using them again.

20 year customer! Called April 1st to have propane filled and was told I need to pay a $60 tank rental fee that had not even been sent out yet and wasnt due till may decided enough was enough with their horrible customer service and asked tank be removed and I would make other arrangements 3 emails and 1 month later tank gone and bill arrives with next year rental fee and $100 pickup fee for their tank! STAY AWAY! there are too many good companies out there that appreciate their customers! Eastern doesnt!

What a great experience! From beginning to end all the folks at Eastern were extremely professional and helpful. Starting with Steve going over all the details with me onsite and giving me a detailed proposal to review. When Frank and Justin did the install Frank explained the process and went over my preferences for tank placement and Justin even helped me move some wood away from the spot for the tank, above and beyond! We had our Bosch tankless hot water heater serviced, and the hot water was coming out way too hot. We called and let them know that we were concerned our granddaughter would get scalded if she turned on the hot water to wash her hands. Eastern sent Jeff Tufts out to turn the temperature down. He was extremely helpful and stayed and worked with us until the temperature was exactly as we wanted. He missed another call because of the time it took, but told us the company sent him to us first based on our concern of our granddaughter getting scalded. We have has issues with our Pool heater and Eastern has been amazing. The custome service provided by Jeff T out of Franklin is execptional. Eastern is lucky to have him as a representative. I would highly recommend Eastern Propane for any pool heater issues.

I detected a suspect smell and called Eastern at 7:30pm and a half hour later David Coutore, the best highly specialized technician ever, was at my door. David was thorough, respectful and kind when diagnosing what turned out to be a potentially dangerous carbon monoxide emission from my propane fueled hot water heater. He also assured me that they would try their best to remediate the issue the next day, despite a backlog of other commitments since ours was more serious and required disconnecting the hot water heater. Thank you David!Update: The next day another technician, Jeff Tufts, came in the afternoon and fully diagnosed the issue and completed all the required work in a few hours. Based on David’s notes from the night before, he brought all the required parts and tools to ensure my family had hot water again within 24 hours while (even more importantly) having a safe system once again. Jeff also left great notes, including with results of flow tests both before and after the service, and was very courteous and professional. Thank you Jeff!

My system is complicated and it was difficult for several professionals to figure out whether my water was heated by oil or propane. This company is terrible! Overall very hard to deal with but I’d like to focus on one incident that happened that they handled horribly. I have a short 2 car driveway that in the couple years I have been getting propane delivery’s they have NEVER pulled or backed in to the driveway we recently spent slot of money paving it and they backed the propane truck onto it and damaged the pavementWe now have to constant puddles/ice where the back tires of the Eastern truck parkedI called and was told to send an email and they have simply ignored I emailed again to no avail I will call again and keep this review updated with my results

I had a most happy experience with my Eastern Propane service call this morning. Team member, Jeff Tuffs, efficiently got my propane fireplace cleaned & working again! He was so pleasant & knowledgeable, answering all of my questions. I’m thrilled to be able to use my remote starter again! It was also nice to hear that this is a company that appreciates it’s employees.

My wife and I have used Oil fuel since we purchased our home and just recently decided to put in a new Heating system. We were unsure of staying with Oil or switching to Propane. After some discussion with some contractors, friends and some research we decided to move to Propane. Knowing nothing about Propane, we made calls to local companies and had them come out and discuss our options. This is where I was introduced to Collen Kennedy. I cannot express enough what a pleasure it was to talk to her. She had every answer to every question I had, and believe me there were many! What she was unsure of she followed up with me extremely quickly, she has been absolutely perfect in every encounter we have had and made the rebate process extremely easy! She is an absolute asset to your company.After we signed papers with Colleen and the conversion started I was introduced to Tom (I believe) he delivered the tanks and gave me the quick tour of what they did and what was going to happen in the next steps as we were new at this. He was great to talk to and helped make sure the tanks were esthetically placed so it did not look like they were just thrown there.Then we were introduced to Jeff, This guys knows his stuff!!! I was that pain in the butt guy who watched and questioned everything he did and he explained everything to me so it made sense and I was aware of what was going on. He was of the utmost professional when connecting the tanks and also gave me the ins and outs of what to do and not to do, and what to be careful of as we have kids around. He was very nice and fun to have help us out.I would be remiss not to discuss you’re office staff. During this process I stopped in the Franklin office as I did not even know the size of the tanks or what they looked like. I am not sure who did all the scheduling but it was PERFECT, we waited for nothing and everything ran smoothly. We heard horror stories about delays between the contractors and Propane companies at set up, and we had none of it. I do not know who made that process so easy behind the scenes, but I thank them!! And then just had some questions, Both guys were there to help and gave me all the assistance that was needed with a smile.Which brings me to today, I went to the Franklin office to pay my bill as I thought I was undercharged. The woman answered all questions and showed me what had happened and why the difference. She was extremely pleasant, took the time to look into everything, and then explain it all in a way that made sense.And finally there was you, During this whole process you made sure that I was taken care of and were there for any and all addition questions I had. I have told many people about my experience with Eastern Propane and what we went through and it was absolutely a pleasure going through it with you and your team.I do not know if anything can go wrong but I am sure that if it does your team will be right there to get it fixed. Eastern came to service two gas fireplaces for us. Brian Vachon and Dakota Wallingford were excellent! Brian even took the time to explain what he found and show me the bad parts that needed to be replaced. They were both professional and efficient. This is not the first great experience we have had with Easter. Best fuel company Ive ever had!

Was going to sign up for them, but now reconsidering. The people who answer the phone don’t have any customer service they just transfer you before you even have a chance to finish your sentence. They might as well be replaced with a automated system, at least I can’t blame a machine for being soul less and cold hearted. The several times I’ve called they put me on hold and by the end of it I have to leave a message and they never get back to me. Either they answer or they don’t. I can only image what it will be like if you need to reach someone in an emergency.

If I could give them no stars I would they play you into 100 dollar off route fees, when they cant fully fill you tank that you payed an extra fee for they disregard to inform you of that, then take weeks to return to fill the remaining amount they owe you blame your equipment when it was the truck or the lazy driver and make you purchase a minimum of 400 dollars on the following order. Dont waste your time with these guys if you can

Very pleased with my Eastern Propane experience on March 7th, 2018. Paul arrived at my home and greeted me with a smile. He provided me with guidance, information, and answered all of my questions regarding my new propane service. He then went the extra mile and assisted me with turning on the propane heating devices in my home. This is something I was very apprehensive about but Paul made it look easy and showed me how. He was professional and reassuring throughout the entire visit. He left me a very satisified customer and fully confident I made the right decision by choosing Eastern for my propane needs. I am a new customer to Eastern. Last year I called around to several companies looking for installation of an underground tank. An Eastern saleman showed up right on time, gave me a detailed estimate and overview of the paperwork needed, etc. Of the other 3 companies I called, only one showed up and they did not provide half of the details given to me by Eastern. I signed a contract with Eastern, they pulled the permits and the installers showed up on time and did a great job connecting the tank. When I called for a fill-up, the truck came right on schdule. Every Eastern employee I have dealt with has been professional and courteous. Also their propane price/gallon has been well below the state average. I am very happy to be an Eastern customer.

These people are the WORST! over $5/gallon when its being sold in Asia for .25 cents because they have so much they dont know what to do with it.Also they came by and just shut off the gas because I was over due even though it was paid on their web site - which is so un - readable if you have more than one accountThey then charged me $85 to reconnect and had to schedule it days later even though the guy who disconnected it JUST LEFT. We have no propane now for two days - it is UNBELIEVABLE that these people can make money hand over fist and still treat people like thisLESS THAN 1 STAR - STAY AWAY

A glowing review of Eastern Propane for coming on March 4, the Sunday night of a storm weekend, when my generator ran out of fuel. And many thanks to efficient and friendly driver Jim V, specially for re-starting the generator!

I have been with eastern since I built my house, we have always just called and have our tank filled then pay it off in a few payments over the next 8 months, then once it was paid we would call to have it filled again and they would fill.. been doing that for 5 years no issues, all of sudden I pay off my bill and they need the money up front for the next delivery?! This is poor customer service and policy. A very Frustrated customer until November 2019 when our contract is up.

The guys showed up to my newly purchased home on a Friday night and turned off my propane without any advanced notification. I had closed on the house and moved in a week before and had not set up an account with them.The Tank was 60% full and paid for by the previous owner which contents were a condition of my sale.I have kids and these guys turned off the propane on a friday night knowing I would not be able to cook or do anything until Monday. They left a note saying create an account to have your propane turned back on total tactic.Needless to say I will not be a customer of this company ever.

Eastern propane is horrible. This winter we awoke to a house that was freezing because they let us run out. When we called at 3 am to tell them it was 39 degrees inside the house, they said it would cost $200.00 for a special delivery. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and said I would wait until morning to avoid the fee. Bad night, oh, wait, it gets better, so we were waiting for them to show up and around 10:00 am the hotuse was 37 degrees inside mind you and we were afraid our pipes would freeze. We called again and they said that they had no record of the call and they could be there in 2 days unless we pay the now $100.00 fee for an unscheduled delivery. We told them to come and we would dispute the fee later because we are on automatic delivery. As the day went by still no propane. Mind you we are not far from their Franklin location. When we called a third time saying we were freezing, they said they would send a truck but also would have to pay a $50.00 leak test after we were full. At last around 2 pm, about 12 hours of freezing misery the driver showed up and said he had to come check our appliances even though we have no pilots. Of course, we said no because there would be another fee involved. Mind you, we ran out because they never showed for an automatic delivery. Well, here it is April, and two days ago we ran out again, on automatic delivery. This time I was smart enough to have a 50 gallon spare tank ready on hand in case we ever ran out again. I do have a mass gas fitters and undiluted liquid propane license so to anybody reading this who thinks Im crazy for hooking up a spare tank, dont worry, it was legal. Would never put the house at risk. So we called eastern as we did still have heat thanks to me, and I asked them when they were coming to fill because our tanks ran out again. They said their computers had us scheduled for delivery in about a week and they were sorry we ran out. So I stated, you will have to fill the tanks because we are out and here it comes again, it would cost $200.00 for an emergency delivery fee. I asked when the truck was coming and they said 5-7 business days. Keep in mind we are out because of them. Their state of the art computer system stinks. Then, when she found out we retained heat because I had a spare tank, I told them because Im honest and also the driver would see the emergency hookup. They said I would have to pay$50.00 for a leak test because I wasnt using their product. Mind you, everything is working because we outsmarted them this time, I told her I would not pay any fee because their computer screwed up. So I asked again, when are you coming to fillyour tanks, again, she stated 5-7 business days. If I were another customer, I would be getting prepared to freeze or empty my wallet. We use Eastern because we belong to a group called our town energy alliance. Anyone who uses propane in the New England area should google this because you will pay half for propane. If this wasnt the case we would switch companies immediately. Here we sit, waiting a week for the propane to come, and a cold front is expected. Thanks eastern, for letting the elderly, small children, mentally challenged, disabled, and healthy people like ourselves freeze, just to try to make a profit. My next call is to the BBB, I am going to fight for all the people above. Beware people, they will do anything for those extra fees. Definately goggle our town energy, you will be glad you did. Unfortunately, eastern is their vendor, but you will end up paying half for propane. It is true, we have been an otea member for 10 years. Eastern is very smart to have an agreement with otea, they sell millions of gallons of product and make a bundle even at a discount. If they read this, they know it is true, perhaps a change in customer service and money making schemes will result in more people switching from oil. They could gain so many more customers if they would change their business practices.I am not having any vengeance toward eastern, but they should treat customers better.
