Yall, seriously! Bruh, seriously! I have lived in Franklin, TN since 2013 and have driven by Pasta & Cream countless times and have judged this place solely by the outside of the restaurant. I am ashamed. I know enough about food that I know better than that.My number one gripe about the Nashville area is that it lacked the hole-in-the-wall Italian places that my beloved St. Louis has. Well, my search is over! Pasta and Cream has filled that bill! You come in walk up to the counter. Chose your sauce, chose your protein (if you want), chose your style of handmade pasta. I got the Cajun sauce with blackened chicken and angel hair. Everything was top notch. I was expecting the sauce to be spicy, it wasnt. It was full of flavor. They took a typical white cream sauce and turned it on its head! They have a new patron! You need to come check it out! Dont judge a book by its cover because you will be dissapointed that you missed out on the delicious story thats inside!
We stopped here on the way back from Florida. I’m so glad we did! My husband and I both got Caesar salads. They were delicious and the portion sizes were huge! I also got the garlic scampi and it was delicious. It had a light lemony taste to it and fresh tomato. The kids got spaghetti and meatballs and it was so good! All served with shredded Parmesan and for an affordable price. Glad we put this place on our map for future trips down south!
Wow! Gluten Free is delicious! We stopped here on a trip because it was rated so high. When we pulled into the parking lot and walked in I was worried we were in the wrong place. It definitely has a Mom & Pop vibe going. But the lady who greeted us was incredibly friendly. She explained the menu to us, told me everything that was gluten free, and also told us the most popular dishes. The food is cooked fresh so the timing is similar to a traditional sit-down. The salad came out beautifully green and fresh. The cheese garlic bread is also made with vegan butter so Im sure thats a plus for many. I got the Rockefeller sauce with GF penne. Oh my goodness! The blackened chicken was cooked perfectly- not chewy. The symphony of flavor with the onion and spinach and cream was outstanding! And usually I find people dont cook penne long enough. This was outstanding. Im super-impressed. Our 5-year old asked if we could eat here every time we go out. They also have gelato, which she gave a high review of. Very good. Not a romantic atmosphere but the food more than makes up for that.
Ate here for lunch today… Wow is all I have to say for starters!I’ve had Italian all over the world and eaten at some really amazing places. There are very few places in America that in my opinion have good or great Italian food. In fact, most of the places that are supposed to have great Italian like New York, DO Not… Most of the worst and mediocre Italian I have had are in places like New York…Now, having said all of that, this is some of the best Italian Pasta Sauce that I have eaten in America. The sauce is bright, fresh, and full of flavor, no matter which sauce you pick. The staff is friendly, kind, and the restaurant is clean…Do yourself a favor and give this place a shot, you won’t be disappointed unless your from a place like New York and have lost your sense of taste in general to the overly acidic and bland home style uncreative foods that they call Italian in places like that…
Stumbled across this hidden gem while on vacation in Nashville. Without a doubt some of the best pasta Ive ever had in my life! The cheesy bread is to die for, and for this born-and-raised Louisiana boy, their blackened chicken cajun pasta was better than almost any restaurant in Louisiana! Highly recommend!
What this place lacks in decor, it makes up in flavor and value. Both pasta dishes that we had were phenomenal (the vodka sauce base and the creamy scampi). Also the portion for the price literally cant be beat. The staff was really accommodating and seemed to care if we liked our food.
Looooooove this place! The folks are so so sweet and the food is great! The Cajun pasta is great and so is the felour. The staff are very nice and even helped me get my car unstuck back when there was snow and ice in the parking lot. The food is great and the people are even better!
We got the Ivan Ala Vodka with penne pasta and Scampi with angel hair pasta. They were both very good and we recommend it. Please note this is a small little restaurant, not suitable for large parties if youd like to dine in. Another one that caught our attention was the Felour. Would definitely try this one out next time were in town.
My husband and I stopped here while we were in Franklin for a few days. The food was incredible! The price was great! And the owner was very friendly! We will be back if we’re every through Franklin again.
We found two hairs, one in the pasta and one in the cheese bread. Our large salad only had 5 croutons. The gal working the register wasn’t friendly.
This pasta is SO GOOD. They have 5 different pasta options to choose from, including a gluten-free pasta. They also have a large number of sauces and styles, with several choices to add protein. The Rockefeller is my absolute favorite. It is hearty and delicious. The portion sizes are perfect. Staff is super nice. The restaurant is small but it feels homey. Ive eaten here several times since discovering this place a few weeks ago. Definitely recommend!
Stopped in here and had lunch with my friend who was taking break at her job at Goodwill. There wasnt a whole lot of items on the menu, but I actually like that. Sometimes its hard to choose with a large amount if choices. I ordered penne, with veggies, and marinara sauce. We then grabbed our drinks and went to sit at the bistro tables outside while it cooked. I really enjoy being able to sit outside and eat when appropriate, so this made me pretty happy. The place seems to be family friendly, as a man and what I assume were his 3 small children, walked in not far behind us. About 10 minutes later, the lady brought our food out to where we were sitting on the patio. The food itself smelled amazing, and it was piping hot. My order was enough to feed myself and my friend, and we did share. The taste was really good too. Very authentic feeling, or as authentic as I can imagine never having been to Italy.Pros-•I do like that they have vegetarian options, because sometimes thats hard to find.•friendly•fast•authentic•outside seating•you can see the cooking areaCons-• limited seating• limited menu items•thats all I have because you cant go wrong with Italian food.
Dem Whole Ger. One of the best pasta placed that Ive been to. They cook everything fresh when you order. The pasta was nice and creamy. Packed full of flavor. Noodles were perfectly al dente. Definitely recommend this small restaurant. So yea. Its definitely dem Whole Ger.
I am so glad we tried Pasta & Cream! It is tucked away in a strip mall area between a Goodwill store and a Great Clips off the beaten path. I questioned myself when pulling into the shoppes but thought, well, I don’t know about this…but we decided to go ahead and give it a try based on the reviews! I am so happy that we did. This is by far the MOST AUTHENTIC Italian restaurant that I’ve ever eaten at and my family and I travel the world. This is not at all fast food, this is individually, personally, prepared dishes to your specifications and it takes time. Their Bolognese sauce is far beyond complex and my daughters grilled chicken fettuccini was AH-amazing! We will definitely go back again.and will recommend it to anyone who wants authentic Italian food!
Ok, so bottom line the food was awesome! We were traveling and it had some good reviews. We got several dishes and there was a lot of food. We got 1 salad order and the 3 of us didnt finish it. This is small family owned and run place in a grocery store shopping center. There is very limited seating and most of the orders were to go. Plan ahead - they are very busy. We walked in around 5:45 on Friday night and it took about 45 minutes to get our food but worth the wait. Make sure you check the closing time, if I remember they close earlier than you would expect. We are back home and I am craving their pasta.
Decided to try them, like local owned restaurants and read great reviews, I feel they live up to the reviews. Ordered the vegetarian in olive oil and Cajun with blackened chicken, both made fresh when ordered, great flavor, excellent value. Will definitely go back when in the Franklin area. Highly recommend to anyone who likes pasta.
My husband and I came in tonight after I had gotten off a plane in Nashville. It was only our 2nd time eating here, but it WILL NOT be our last. Its a small pasta restaurant with a passionate chef who gave everything to pursue the risky life of the food industry. But we are SO glad he did. Personally, Ive traveled to multiple countries and almost every state in the US. Being a pasta enthusiast, Ive had my fair share of trying different (local and chain) restaurants in search of the best. Well folks, I FOUND IT! Both times weve come in, the people working are so welcoming and warm. Most places have great food OR great service, but Pasta & Cream has the rare combination of both. They have a simple menu, but every dish is so packed with flavor. My husband and I both have gotten different items both times, and tried each others. And both times, we come away from a bite in awe. How could one bite be so delicious? Well, whatever the secret is, they certainly have mastered it!
This place is SO good! Totally worth the 10 min wait to get your food. I got the buffalo bleu cheese with blackened chicken and angel hair pasta. The guy was super friendly and another customer even told me about her favorite dish. (Scampi) Can’t wait to go back! Update: the smoker gouda cheese sauce and vodka sauce was amazing. The vodka sauce had a bit of a kick to it. Wasn’t crazy about the Alfredo.
Ohhh yum! Best tasting food and great service. Please go and visit these guys rather going and spend much more on big fancy restaurant
Ordered to-go from here, order was ready in 15 minutes! Staff was friendly, and the food was great. I got the rockefeller pasta with angel hair, but they do have gluten-free pasta like others have noted here! Everything sounded great and I didnt know what to pick, I would definitely order from here frequently to try all the pasta if I lived in the area!
I was extremely surprised about this place I went there for lunch and the pasta was fabulous. They made it fresh and they had fresh chicken which was the blackened chicken and the sauce was amazing this is a dish where you would pay at least $30 if you were going to an expensive restaurant but I only paid lunch prices I would definitely recommend this place.
Don’t judge a book by its cover! This place may seem small, but it has BIG flavors! My wife and I ate here while visiting the area, and were overjoyed with the delicious pasta. Being that we are from Chicago, we didn’t expect this place to be as great as it is! My wife had the GF pasta with the Ivan Vodka sauce, and it was dynamite! She also had a side of the felour sauce, because she wanted to try more than one sauce, and it was delicious as well. I got the Cajun pasta, it wasn’t too spicy, perfect amount of cream, really really tasty!!! Overall, wonderful experience, and price point was very reasonable (considerably cheaper than we’re used to paying). Highly recommend!
The food was decent and they had gluten free options for my gluten intolerance but the turn off was the attitude of the staff toward me and my second service dog in training Diesel #2. I make it a point to stop the false information and public nasty attacks toward the few of us that actually need and use service dogs to better our lives dispite if you can see a disability or not. Like i stated before this is not my first service dog but he is only 3.5 months old and in training obviously. The federal law does not state anywhere that a service dog must have a service vest or identitying markings on them but the American public think it is. This is because to many people try to pass their pets off as service animals and buy fake IDs online for a fee doesnt make them one. It takes thousands of hours, money, and time at a early age to accomplish all the rigorous training needed to fully train a service dog if they even make it through all the training. So, the next time you see a customer with a Service dog or a Service dog in training without a vest that you absolutely dont know much about because you literally did not even ask the two questions by federal and state law before rejecting entry to them which are : Is this a service dog? and What task does he provide for you?I stated upfront before entering he is a service dog in training. Which it took a bet for someone to finally come up to talk about it never being to your business before to place judgment. The training all starts somewhere and at a early age socializing and getting us to sights, sounds, and smells to be confident in any environment he might be in contact while helping their handler to overcome daily tasks. The Federal law and ADA states that anyone can train their dog to preform a task to help with a disability but i am getting help from a local professional business that breeds and trains dogs but also helps current or former military/law enforcement get service dogs to better our lives. This outing to your business was my second meet and greet but first outing in public. I drove 5 hours and picked your restaurant for this special occasion but feel you were to quick to judge not understanding the whole situation and pushed me out the door to have my girlfriend do the legwork that a professional business would have came out to take orders, bring food, and getting payment under the circumstances.I travel all over the United States for business and pleasure which you can see I have alot of reviews of businesses around the country. I can honesty say I will probably not come back even when Diesel is fully trained. Its sad.
First timers - fantastic spaghettis and meatballs. You wont go hungry...and we will be back.
The food is really good. Most delicious pasta!! And make sure to save space for their Tiramisu! Very friendly staff.
The best Italian ever!! Best lunch under $10 and my taste buds thought it was $100 meal!!
This place is phenomenal. The food comes quick, tastes good, and even comes in little boxes so you dont have to bother with waiting for to go boxes. Best of all though, the staff are so nice! 5 stars deserved.
Such a sweet little spot! We were immediately greeted when we walked in. The man behind the counter (presumably the owner) was super friendly and explained the menu and answered our questions. Once he took our names for the order, he referred to us by name after. Talk about service! Prices were certainly reasonable for what you were getting (great lunch special!). And it was ready pretty fast. I had the Alfredo with blackened chicken and friend had the Cajun pasta. Both were delicious! It’s a “hole in the wall” type of place for sure but it’s local with good food made fresh and excellent service. Totally worth it!!
This is a AMAZING place to eat. Im from a small town and never had that good of pasta. Much recommend.
Amazing food and great service! The owners are very friendly and everyone who works here is so nice! Definitely recommend the blackened chicken alfredo!
Dont judge it by perception. Great food and staff. Cant wait to be back.
Amazing food, great prices. Such nice people to work with. Must order the garlic bread!!!
OMG this place is amazing. Friendly people and amazing food
Absolutely wonderful place to eat! AMAZING pasta! The owner is very obviously passionate about what he does and is very customer service oriented! Makes everything fresh right in front of you and takes an interest in who you are/ what you like. Something tells me he would give customers the shirt off his back if they asked. I am an avid pasta eater and this is hands down the best pasta Ive ever had!! Any small wait is definitely worth this food!
We stumbled across this place while visiting Franklin. The food was great big, big portions. Reuben took care of us. Friendly and professional. Top notch casual experience.
Great experience as a new customer. Very friendly and informative. Great food and fast service. Ill be back for sure.
Excellent pasta dishes!
Great place, the pasta tastes great for take out., Its vet affordable and the employees are great. Much better that Carabas for almost half price. Support this local business!!
This place is excellent. Fresh pasta. Would highly recommend.
Whenever we come back into town from Chicago, Pasta Cream is one place we ALWAYS visit. Amazing food!
Cancelled my online order with no notice and no communication.
This place is wonderful!! The garlic bread was perfect! I wanted to lick my bowl!
Probably the BEST pasta Ive ever had. Skip the Olive Garden and go to Pasta and Cream instead! You wont regret it!
Ok location for quality Italian food. Visited at eight, it was not full. Quick and friendly service. Prices were fair for the quality of the food. I can see why they have a lot of positive reviews.
We were driving through on our way to Alabama and stopped here for dinner. It is EXCELLENT! If you like fresh pasta we recommend you give Pasta & Cream a try.
Cooked fresh and was delicious. Seriously some of the best pasta Ive had in a very long time. Nobody gets blackened chicken right and they nailed it. Will definitely be coming back.
Really good food at a great price. I usually place orders to go and they have it ready in 15 minutes. Its always great.
Their gluten free veggie pasta was truly amazing! I never write reviews but felt our take out experience was worth one. My husband also loved the Bolognese sauce. We will be back soon!
Hands down the best pasta place I’ve been to. Food is delicious. Great portions and friendly service.
First visit, Ian was a big help, thanks man! def b back
So good! The best Alfredo I have ever eaten!
The outside of the strip mall doesnt do the place justice. Great choice for take out pasta.
February 2020: February 2020: Ive been to Pasta & Cream a number of times, with each visit still impressing me with the quality and flavors being offered here. This time I tried the Ivan ala Vodka which is a creamy Marinara sauce, white sauce, and a splash of vodka. Chef Eric Shanklin adds some fresh basil, sun dried tomatos and a hint of spice. Enjoyed this dish over some perfectly cooked Penne pasta and some of the most tender grilled chicken you will find ANYWHERE! Bottom line...this little spot is magical...the dishes here will make you feel like youve just made a quick trip to Italy for dinner!!!September 2017: This is a small “mom & pop” place with counter service and limited seating, but don’t let the size of the place fool you. They have been in business for 3 years and offer fresh ingredients and homemade sauces. I decided on the Felour which is a smoked Gouda cream sauce with onions, mushrooms, and baby spinach - named after Executive Chef Eric Shanklin’s wife. This is a twist on an Alfredo style sauce with smoked Gouda instead of Parmesan cheeses. I ordered the version with the grilled chicken (can be blackened too), got my drink, and sat down to wait. This is not a place where you sit down and the food appears in a minute…this is homemade stuff and will take a little bit of time…but it is well worth the wait.In my experience when a sauce has anything “smoked” in it, the flavor of the sauce and dish tends to get overwhelmed by the smokiness. Not so here…the smoked Gouda cream sauce is incredible and really compliments the cream sauce, vegetables, and pasta which was “al dente” perfect. One thing about cream sauces, once they start to cool they get a bit sticky, break apart, and lose some of their flavors. This sauce maintained its consistency from start to the last bite…incredibly good. The grilled chicken that was “artistically” placed on the pasta was perfectly cooked, juicy, and complimented the dish well. Not too often when ALL of the ingredients in the dish meld so well without overwhelming the other ingredients. Each bite was a pleasure and the only sadness I had was I didn’t have any bread to sop up the remaining sauce…LOLHIGHLY recommend the trip to Franklin/Cool Springs and try some of their sauces…I know I will be back!!!
I love the Garlic and lemon butter 😋 yummy
Amazing pasta in the area. Super creamy and lots of homemade sauce.
Great for fast casual and take-out Italian. Great lunch specials.
I have ordered through Pasta and Cream and enjoyed them for years. But recently, I did an order for my office, and they were equally, if not more, fantastic in that setting as well!Three different staff members came and asked me who had catered lunch today, because they were so pleasantly surprised at the freshness and clearly made-from-scratch buffet. Kudos, guys!
It is hard to get a good gluten free pasta dish, but this place nails it everytime!! The noodles are not mushy like so many other places and you cant even tell it is GF (I have called and double checked because I wasnt sure). The fact that I NEVER get sick tells me they know what they are doing by keeping cross contamination in check. Perfect spot for the whole family with a variety of choices.
OK to be honest I already reviewed this place. But I feel like it was insufficient. In my last review I said how delicious this place was. But again that’s a understatement. This is some of the most delicious food I’ve ever had you will not be disappointed!Unless your tastebuds are on vacation or your jaw is broke and you can’t chew. But even if your jaw is broken you can’t you just leave out the chicken. My recommendation is the Ivan vodka with blackened chicken w cheese bread! The only problem with this place is that if you eat it once you’ll be hooked and everything else will not be quite as delicious The only problem with this place is that if you eat it once you’ll be hooked and everything else will not be quite as delicious lolI’ve been to this place five times And each time the taste varied slightly but even still it was consistently great even so.Peace!
Awesome food, more than fairly priced. You won’t be left hungry! Staff is very friendly and welcoming. Wins all around!
The flavors there but theres something about it. Just shy of the bullseye I wish they were better Id eat there every day
The best pasta of the world. Nice people and good price. I love this place. You will feel like your home...
Ive never had any problems until tonight. I was unaware that the restaurant closed at 8pk on Saturdays.I called at about 7:45 and the person on the other end of the phone was terribly unprofessional. And rude I told him that I wanted to call in an oreder. The first thing he said to me was What is it?!I said well I hadnt put in an order but I wanted to call it in.He then says well what is it!?Very rudely. Then he says well to let you know we close at 8!again very rude!He did take my order but he was soooo unprofessional on the phone.
Amazing food. New fav pasta place. Super friendly staff
Tiny spot but big flavors! So many options of fresh made pastas. We enjoyed sharing dishes. It was all so good!
You’ll feel like a local in on the best-kept secret in town when you dine here. This place is a tiny, out-of-the-way treasure. The fresh pasta just hits different - made to order, piping hot, creamy goodness. They even serve their big meal portions in to-go bowls so you can take the second half home for later. Oh, and don’t forget to try the garlic bread!!! 5 stars for Pasta and Cream
My wife and I had the best experience here. Everything from the staff to the food!
Garlic bread great. Creamy scampi was okay really acidic. Would try again though.
Amazing food, great service.
This dinner was amazing! The servings are very generous, you could almost make two meals out of it. The service is fast and friendly. I Definitely recommend this place!
Never have I ever had Chicken Alfredo as best as this place #1 in my book. Be returning for sure!!!
Our neighborhood arranged and order and delivery night with Pasta & Cream during the Stay at home. Food was excellent! Lots of flavor and good sized portions. We have leftovers for tomorrow. We will certainly be returning for more.
What a gem in Cool Springs. Excellent food and value. Portions are great and the quality of the pastas are great. Ive tried multiple dishes and the Alfredo with blackened chicken is my go to.
I ordered spaghetti with meatballs.. it was very good... However, bf ordered spaghetti with Bolognese sauce. His tasted nothing like mine . It had a fishy taste ( I tasted it). He could not eat it.. Thankful we had ordered an Antipasto salad. He was able to eat that and garlic bread we ordered.. Both were very good... We are thinking perhaps shrimp may have been prepared in a pot/pan earlier hence the fish taste..
The food and people are AMAZING!!! Best place on the map!!!
Pasta and Cream was absolutely delicious! Everything came out fresh and in abundance. The staff was helpful and friendly. The dining area is not very large. However it wasnt an issue because most people took their orders to go. I will definitely be back!
Great food, great folks, huge portions. This is a hidden gem of a hole-in-the-wall restaurant. I almost dont want to give it a good rating so that Ill still be able to get in and not find it overcrowded all the time!
A simply decorated restaurant tucked into a strip mall. The food is delicious and the staff is super friendly and helpful. The lunch specials are a great price and the portion size was perfect. My whole family loved it. We will definitely be back!
Fabulous food. Been here a few times now and have yet to be disappointed by anything I get. Their vodka sauce is excellent as is their Alfredo. The place is very small inside, more of a take out than a sit down real but I always eat inside. My husband had had other dishes then me and loved them. Now he comes here for lunch. They do have a lunch special of smaller sizes dishes that include a drink and garlic bread for under 9.00. their dinner portions are very generous in size, have never been able to finish one yet. But Im all about the left overs. 😁. Do yourself a favor and try the place if you havent eaten here yet . It is not expensive and the food quality is awesome.
This place will totally surprise you. Really good food and very clean. The owner has a great story and is living his dream. I promise, “you will love it”.
This place was definitely a hidden gem. We got the bolognese, Cajun pasta and cheese bread and it was awesome! The staff was super helpful and very friendly! Will definitely be back.
Perfect place for lunch and dinner both.I’m vegetarian first time I visited this restaurant and Ordered Marinara and Alfredo sauce with spaghetti, Garlic bread. 🥖I love food like you served.staff so friendly and pleasant. I remember her name is Falore she worked hard and Helpful to me. Highly satisfied, I am definitely come again 😀!!
Great customer service, the food tastes amazing (especially the the cheesy bread), and the person who took our order explained the menu so well. Id give it a 6/5 if I could
This place is fire! I ordered I carrabbas and it was ok but this place blew them away got the something vodka pasta and man it was great!
This restaurant is amazing! The staff is always so wonderful and the gluten free options are great. I highly recommend their blackened chicken. ❤️❤️
One of the best take put pasta places I have ever been to. The staff is really nice. The food is always cooked fresh and tastes amazing. My favorite is the chicken alfredo. Makes for some good leftovers too. This little hole in the wall spot is perfect to grab food on your lunch break.
Excellent pasta and other dishes made to order. We were blown away by the quality and the flavor. Absolutely on par - in many cases much better - than a formal restaurant. Also an incredible value regarding the price points. Highly recommended.
Cajun gluten free with blackened chicken was excellent!
Great place for pasta. Gluten free tastes like regular pasta..... Must try is the Cajun if you like spicy pasta. Owners are very friendly and know their food well. Go check it out. U will not be disappointed 😉
I LOVE this place! My best friend cannot have gluten due to a medical condition and weve had nothing but great experiences here. The food is delicious and always made fresh. I recommend the Ivan or the Creamy Scampi!
Excellent food. I was shocked the first time because I wasnt expecting much from a restaurant in a strip mall but this place is run by a chef. You wont be disappointed.
Amazing food! Clean establishment. Locally owned. Fresh ingredients fair prices.
