Needed a roll of 3M window weld butyl tape to install the windshield on my 1970 Torino on the day of the Woodward dream cruise . While most places didnt have a clue, advance auto parts had a roll on the shelf and even gave me a 10 percent discount ! I installed my windshield in about an hour and was headed to Woodward with a smile on my face . Thank you so much for the help . Im definitely going to be a repeat customer .

I have been working from home this past year, and I only come out to go shopping or run necessary errors. I have always been BIG on customer service, and I must say that it has not been a welcoming experience since the start of the pandemic.However, last week I decided to try a new project and work on my Jeep Cherokee. Yesterday I made a trip to Advance Auto Parts on 13 and Utica and I must say: They’ve probably bought my loyalty for the next few shopping trips.I had decided to finally work on my Jeep’s exterior, so at least she can be a polished clunker, and was searching for some claybar.Home Depot has good prices, but their automotive section is real scant.Walmart has good prices and a good selection even, but the employees are clueless and you know what? I just feel wrong shopping for auto supplies there.Hastings is good but their open hours blow and theres no military discount.How did Advance Auto Parts win my heart?It’s this simple:Not only did I find the claybar, but the environment rocked. There were a couple young, fun, and skilled employees. Then there was a seasoned old mechanic, the kind that only a lifetime in Michigan can produce.They were all able to help me decide between the tried-and-true claybar, and the new synthetic stuff, while being fun people. I had never been there, but now I literally look forward to going back.Also, they have long hours that can accommodate me always needing a part at the worst times.

Worst customer service. The guy was very rude to me. Not cool and would not exchange my car battery evening knowing it is under warranty still. I only had it for a one and half years. It is warranty for 2 years. Shame on advance auto. They want people to go there they need to triane their employees better. I wonte go to the one on 13 mile road and untiaca again. If there was less then 1 start i would say it be a 0.

Worst place, the women who working was drunk and her colleagues were just making fun of that she wasnt able to find parts that i ordered online and i had to go to get them and she was having problems with computer and colleagues smiling while i was there instead of helping her. And they gave me open transmition oil with lose cap, this is ridiculous and horrible customer service they gave me.

Mike is awesome. Our battery was bad and Mike took the time to install it for us. 😁

I came in looking for an odd size socket. The store was apparently empty except for me and two employees, who were both standing right at the counter staring at their computers. After standing at the counter for a full 2 minutes waiting for one of them to greet me or at least acknowledge my presence, I had to leave.Even if I was on crutches in a snow storm it would probably be worth going the 0.3 miles to one of the 8 other auto shops in the vicinity rather than deal with that kind of rudeness.

Found most of what I needed. Picked up bolts not studs for exhaust manifold.

Awesome customer service. Miranda Aye and Gary were both helpful in looking up and finding the items I needed. Miranda was also helpful regarding items that will need to be ordered and informed me as to how long it would take for items to arrive.

They always have courteous staff who in most cases know what theyre talking about. They had a great sale on oil and a filter recently that I had to take advantage of. Worth coming back to for those odds and ends that I need for my vehicle.

This is my new favorite auto parts store. They have a vast selection of parts most other store dont even stock!

My engine light was on, we stopped by here so they could diagnose it. The guy got in my car with a lit cigarette while my 7 month old baby was in the backseat. His coworker told him to hand the cigarette to her and he refused. I think he said Ive got it or Its fine. Will not be returning to this place.

Need to build a few more of these places near AJ. It was my go to store back in Detroit, but its too far to drive for one or two parts. I still,go there when Im getting a bunch of things.

The staff went above and beyond to help me with my car battery install. But when the manager came out and told staff member that they shouldnt be working on my car, that made the rest of my visit uncomfortable. Maybe a good manager should wait until customers arent present to correct employees.

I usually go to AutoZone. Been going to this advance since last year and Im always satisfied. They find a way to work things out for you

Friendly staff and nice clean auto parts store. Staff isnt always the most helpful tracking down parts needed. Ive had to go on and order them online before so they could locate the part in their inventory.

They have decent prices but as far as their lifetime warranty parts if you do not save your receipt which they do go blank after a while on their own they cannot honor the warranty without problems they clear their system every two years so your information will be lost!!

I have been having low voltage battery issues for 6+ months and wasnt putting two and two together. (Mostly that my check engine light was on and my remote start wasnt starting it most days) Then the first cold snap in late September hit and bam, van was refusing to start or stay charged once started. I hopped online to start looking for my cheapest option. Walmart, Autozone, etc. NOBODY beat Advanced with the coupon codes I found online. $120, after core, for a battery for my 2011 Town and Country, bought online and stopped there after luckily getting it to start to drop kids off at school, AND he installed it for me. No issues a month later! Great service.

Awful. They ignore you. Not helpful. Waited 10 minutes to checkout while two employees played around with stocking pop and wandering the stockroom. Complained on company Web site. Got a phone call where the manager mumbled a voice message and never called back. Go to the one at 14 and Schoenherr instead. Or OReillys, Autozone, or Pep Boys all of which are in the area. Theres good reason why the parking lot is almost always empty other than employee cars. Total waste of retail space and your and my time.

Lack of automotive products /motorcycle waxes, which includes, Pig spit, automotive and motorcycle products, ORIGINAL BIKE SPIRITS (spray cleaner&polish) products are higher than other automotive /motorcycle parts, etc. I find autozone is cheaper than advance auto parts.
