Very cool antique store. Tons of stuff to see, not so much to buy. It was almost like an antique museum. Everything was easy to see and move around but ended up not finding anything that really caught my eye. Tons of ladies antique clothing and paintings but not much when it came to cameras or old electronics.
Cannon Hill is located in an ancient granary within walking distance of the historic district. It seems that it’s been in business for quite awhile- I recall shopping there as a teenager. Reviewers have commented negatively on the rustic nature of the place but I much prefer this look over a well-lit carpeted place in a strip mall. The highlights here are an excellent vintage clothing booth at the very front and a very well-curated bookseller whose wares seem to be situated throughout the building. There is also a top-notch vintage kitchenware booth on the first floor and treasures to be found in other booths as well. A few booths are supremely disorganized and more or less unbrowseable (did I coin a new word there?) but that is my only criticism. Definitely worth checking out.
Cannon Hill Place is one of our favorite shops! Its a good sized two level building with antique treasures everywhere. You can find some really decorative accents, furniture, art, books, records and some clothing.Prices vary, depending on the vendor.Employees are friendly and welcoming.Parking is typically pretty easy - street parking.
Overall, an enjoyable place to walk around. It was a bit warm inside, which did have us moving quickly through. I would have also been interested to know if their books were donated because many were priced nearly at what you could get them at a bookstore. Staff were relatively friendly and quick to ask if you needed anything too.
My daughter and I went to this place together, and were surprised at how big it was. There was an awesome display of everything antique. we both made a choice or two and were very thrilled with our purchases. We are actually able to park right outside which was another bonus. Good way to spend some time, at a leisurely pace. Well worth the trip, two thumbs up
A huge place with an excellent variety of antiques that are fairly priced. Be warned, you will find some treasure you will buy. I have never walked out empty handed. The booths are well organized and presented, which helps in your shopping and browsing. Highly recommend you shop here if you are truly into antiques.
Cool, gritty antique store. Lots of interesting things and a big selection of vintage clothes.
The old building sets a fitting stage for exploring rooms of interesting furniture, art, clothing, and the miscellany of bygone eras. Sure, one persons junk is anothers treasure, and the definition of antique has broadened during my lifetime so as to no longer require monetary value. But overall there is a lot of good quality to be found here, and at prices that seem reasonable. A couple rooms set up in themes are great fun to look at, and make you wish you had more empty space in your house to decorate.
The coolest antique shop Ive ever been in.
This is yet another place that is way bigger than you would ever expect. And has a full second floor in addition. All kinds of things to dazzle and delight one. we spent almost an hour in there looking before settling on several items. Well worth the trip.
Not organized at all. Most of the lot spaces look like they are just being used as storage lockers for items removed from garages. There were a couple of good antiques but most items that did have prices I thought were way over priced.
Hmmm. What to say? Kind of a mish mash of dumpy & nicer booths. Wont really go here again unless I am desperate to find something. And, then, this wld be my last resort.
Awesome owners and great choices! Thank you
Super cool place with really nice people! Wide variety of vintage clothes, books, furniture, and various other goods!
Very nice Antique shopping experience! Great finds! More than I could take... I will be back!
Fun shop. Decent prices for antiques. Good array of antiques.
Aging junk shop. Not much treasure. A fair excuse to take a walk.
While this store is not smashed in between the other antique stores on Patrick Street or Market Street, its definitely worth the one block walk to its front door! The variety is wonderful~from new AND antique clothing, housewares, furniture, decorative smalls, wall art ... etc. Vendors make an effort to offer unique and carefully selected merchandise for Shoppers to view and purchase. The staff is always available. Ive never had to hunt down someone to help me. It seems like thats becoming an exception to the standard in retail shopping these days. And the staff IS exceptional Check it out youll be glad you did!
Always find something worthwhile here. Cold as hell upstairs. But a great antique store
Nice antiques shop with an eclectic mix of antiques, vintage collectibles and mid century modern furniture. Affordable prices from entry level to serious collectors. Clean, well organized store with friendly knowledgeable staff. Located near many other antiques shops, specialty stores and museums. Highly recommended.
I love treasure hunts. This place has a lot of treasures and the ladies working the day I was there were pretty n3.
This place was soooo cool! I love the old building and so much to see. The price is also good and more reasonable than some other antique stores around. The owner and her assistants were very nice, friendly, and helpful. Will definitely be back.
Weve found a lot of good things here for decent prices. I do wish there was more inventory coming through though. Its not uncommon to see the same thing 2 months later.
This is a great place for treasure hunters. Very friendly and helpful staff. It used to be jampacked and dusty and its starting to get more professional (with that, prices up too) but still very reasonable. Prepare to spend at least 2 hours here!.
This place doesnt hold a candle to any of the antiques malls in the area. Each room is essentially poorly-lit, dank, dusty and not very inviting. Some items Ive seen collecting dust for several years.Uneven flooring makes it hazardous to even visit the place; I wouldnt be surprised if there were code violations in what is actually an old granary that could have some charm.Prices are better at Antiques Emporium it seems. But if you want to feel like youre in Great Grandmas attic, Cannon Hill is your choice.
It seems like a mean joke. Its 1230 on Monday. Sign says theyre open. Put a dollar in the meter and head for the door. Door kinda hard to open and, taking a hint from the sign that says Door sticks, push hard, I give it a hefty shove. After bruising my shoulder on the second try, and waiting for Candid Camera and calling with no answer, I come to the conclusion that it truly is Lights Are on, Nobodys Home.
I was really excited to check out this place, I’m from out of town. Unfortunately, I paid for parking and the place wasn’t even open.
Huge! Upstairs and downstairs filled with unique variety of items. Prices were reasonable !
Nice antiques. Always good to walk around and see what they have.
This has been my favorite antiques place for half my life. :) Great prices, great location, wonderful variety. First place I go for furniture, every time. Check out The Old Hat up front for cheap, amazing old clothing - shes clothed me since my high school prom!
Very pleasant atmosphere for shopping. I even found an item I liked. Will go here again.
Well organized and lots of items with 2 sets of stairs.
Cool old stuff, its like walking through history or a museum... mu boyfriend started to remember seeing some of that stuff in our grandparents house!! We buy 4 metal cups like for shots.
Huge selection! I wish I had a manor house to fill with some of the furniture!
Large variety of antiques and collectables housed in a wonderful historic building.
Not open when they said they are wasted an hour and a half drive thank you!
All sorts of antiques and second hand items. Great place for wandering, shopping for specific items or finding inspiration!
This is my favorite antique store in the area! I have found some really amazing things here for great prices.
So much to see with a large quantity of vintage clothing.
Good prices and lots of great pieces. A little unorganized, but thats part of the fun!
Great place with alot to look at. Will be back!!
Very helpful staff, great variety, eclectic mix of vintage & collectable items, as well as antiques.....
Unique and fun to explore, but quite messy and a bit too dusty for my allergies, this place is more like grandmas attic if she lived through the Vietnam war. Not too much in the way of real antiques, mainly up and coming ones and lots of questionable ones, but youll find a treasure like I did if you look hard enough.
Great furnished antique furnitures.
Lots of great items in a fantastic setting
Amazing ! Plan on spending lots of time this place is huge best shop in town. Two floors of endless vintage goods.
