Called to have Craftsman riding lawn mower serviced. Came out in two days by setting up a home appointment.Excellent service, very knowledgeable. Did a complete inspection and tune up of mower, along with oil change, new gas filter, sharpened blades, lubed joints, etc. Very professional job and he offered good advice at the end on possible future needs.Very fair pricing and nice owner. I highly recommend this small business and I am highly appreciative of the top-notch servicing of my mower. He will be my go-to guy in the future with any mower needs I may have.

Bobby and his associate Mike came to my garage perfectly on arranged time, diagnosed non-starting problem with my Ariens snow-thrower, completely disassembled and cleaned carburetor and eventually revived my seemingly dead machine. The time between their arrival and my call was less than 24 hr. Considering convenience, short waiting time and tons of knowledge and good advices I got, the cost of service was better than reasonable. Bobby is the first mechanic that I have ever had to pay more than he charged me. Due to no fault of his own we kept hitting roadblocks on the servicing of my new golf cart and at every turn Bobby was willing to work with me. After coming back to my house 3 times we were able to get everything taken care of on the cart and its been running fine since. He charged me so fairly that we had to give him a little bit more to what we thought was fair for his time. Top notch customer service, will definitely work with again.

Repaired Generac Power Washer that would not start and was hard to pull. Is now better than it was new will start with two fingered pull also installed gas shutoff valve and gave several good operational pointers for seasonal shutdown to help prevent future issues highly recommended and will use again Thanks

Thanks a lot - I was hoping this riding mower would be dead so I could get a new mower. But Bobby brought it back to life within 30 minutes of arrival. So I guess I’m stuck with this 20 year old mower for another season. This Cub just wont die thanks to Long’s small engine repair.

I was wondering what it would cost to have my 3.5 hp tecumseh engine carbeurator cleaned and if it cost to have a diagnosis. The engine is on a Montgomery ward mini bike, was wondering if you would still service it. If somebody got back to me that would be great.

Friendly service from someone with both talent and enthusiasm for his craft. He diagnosed my mower in about 90 seconds, and told me how to fix it (which suited me, fine). He refused to charge me for the consult, despite spending about 10 minutes hands-on to confirm his diagnosis. In the end I had to demand he take the $20 I had in my wallet. I will definitely be back for any other engine repair needs I have.

What a great guy. I found him via Google - dropped an edger off for an estimate. Three or four days later I was set and at a good price .A very personable young guy - would go back in a minute.

Friends recommended Bobby to me. I was planning to call him for annual maintenance on my 2 mowers but a repair came up first on my Toro mower. I called him on Monday afternoon and had it back Wednesday evening with belt fixed and maintenance done. Plus at a good price. Will definitely use again and highly recommend.

After repeated problems with another company in Mt. Airy, I called Bobby Long to see if he could help me fix the chronic starting problem I was having with my vintage Gravely riding mower. He was busy at the moment, so he called me back later to see if he could stop by to take a look. He stops by, diagnoses the problem immediately, examines my mower, and accurately gives me me the entire history of my machine like he is some kind of Small Engine Sherlock Holmes. Amazing! He took the mower, and brought it back 24 hours later. I tried to start my snowblower yesterday, to prepare for todays big snow, and sure enough, no go. Pretty clearly due to sitting too long, and the fuel gunked up something. So I called Bobby today, figuring hed get to my machine sometime before the next snow. He actually scheduled to come by my house a few hours after my call. After tearing apart the carburetor, cleaning some things out, and putting it all back together - in my garage, mind you, rather than me having to haul it somewhere - he had the thing running within the hour. Our Cub Cadet quit on us. After trying what I could with my limited knowledge I decided to try a professional while also considering just replacing this 11 year old tractor. Time was a big factor since mowing an acre with a 24” push mower is no picnic. I dropped into a shop in Frederick and was told it would be 3-1/2 weeks before they could even look at it and give me an estimate. That’s far too many mowings with the push mower. Before going mower shopping my wife saw reviews on Bobby Longs company. I gave him a call on Friday, he picked it up a few hours later and delivered it back to me repaired Sunday evening. All at an unbelievable price.If you need repairs, don’t bother with any of the big shops. Just call Bobby.

My zero turn mower was bogging down when I engaged the PTO. I tried every option I could think of, but to no avail. I called Longs and the owner Bobby answered. He asked me what we tried to see if he could diagnose the problem over the phone. He asked if we were available now and I said yes.
