Ive had several other body modification piercings get rejected from my body and the piercings ive had from him havent done that, especially when kept clean. Also, I got my piercing during the pandemic and he was very conscious of masks and all of that, plus he would ask if it was okay if he locked the door, which I really respected. The only negatives I have to say is that he is very talkative, which is good if you like having great conversations (its just my personal preference), but also is very vocal about some political-ish topics which is the only reason Im giving it a 4 star because I dont enjoy getting into topics of that nature with someone im not familiar with.TL;DR: Overall a great, clean experience. Worth your money and your time

Wow, first time getting a facial piercing and Tom was amazing! I had questions and he answered them fully! The atmosphere was super relaxed and comfortable with only one appointment allowed in the building at a time. I went back in to get my nose checked and he downsized to a smaller piercing. This was a wonderful experience and I can’t wait to go back!

The shop was private and very clean. The selection of jewelry was nice, there were quite a few lovely gold pieces as well. I wanted a custom leroi top ordered and they got on it immediately without even meeting me as a customer. The perusing itself was virtually painless and fast. I also had an old piercing tapered and again it was virtually painless. The artist has a great eye for placement and does excellent ear curating. Overall a fanatic experience

The vibe of the place is amazing. I got my nipples pierced and I did not feel uncomfortable at all. All of the jewelry are sterilized and you are able to see it being sterilized in front of you. It was an over-all amazing experience and I’m definitely gonna go back.

I took my daughter to have her naval piercing done today, but because of her anatomy she wasnt able to have it done. He explained in great detail why it would be best to wait, and I am so glad he did because I had no idea. That right there shows honesty and professionalism when he could have just taken our money and did the piercing. He is very down to earth and funny, which is my kind of people. So awesome! My sister and I went in for a nose piercing and an ear piercing and had a great experience. Thomas and his fiancé were so welcoming and made us feel comfortable, and he was great about explaining the entire process of how the jewelry is made and sourced, along with ensuring us that all of the surfaces and tools/jewelry were sterilized. Got my earlobes pierced here yesterday. Was my first piercing so I was little nervous but the owner/piercer put me at ease and the process was a lot easier and less painful than I thought! Compared to getting a tattoo or event a shot at the doctor, it was nothing. I liked that he explained the whole process from start to finish and was very thorough about sterilization. You might be spending more money here than you would at a piercing pagoda, but Id say its money well spent to ensure you have an easy and safe piercing experience from a dedicated professional. This is the cleanest place you will go to in Frederick. I refuse to go anywhere else. It’s on the pricier side but it’s completely worth it knowing how sterile everything is and that you won’t get an infection as long as you’re doing your part to clean it correctly. I’ve gotten 3 piercings from here before and every time I was nervous. Thomas always puts me at ease and I walk out so incredibly happy with my newest addition! I refuse to go to a tattoo shop that makes piercings an afterthought. Piercings is all he does and he does them well! So thankful I found this one of a kind shop that puts your comfort and satisfaction ahead of profit (packing as many piercings in a day as possible).

I was very impressed with this place. Tom was extremely easy to work with and very genuine. This did not feel like a cold transaction, this felt like hanging with one of my buddies (while getting pierced). First, he took the time to explain why my original plan wouldnt work, of course I was dissapointed but I had great respect for the honesty and his integrity to do the job right, not just make a quick buck. As everyone else mentioned, he pays very close attention to sanitation. Ive been to many piercing shops where they usually rip the tools out of sealed plastic. Oh my goodness if anyone is thinking about getting a piercing they should 100% go here!you will not find a cleaner and more professional place.i went to get my ears pierced a few months ago and everything was explained thoroughly and done precisely.i also came back to get my septum yesterday and Dendar was just as courteous as the first time! talking to him is super easy which takes away a lot of nerves. he has a lot of cool stories and wisdom to share as a plus too.also if you need to bring a buddy or two for moral support, he has a rly comfortable set-up that allows everyone to be socially distanced which is super cool!but yeah, he knows exactly what he’s doing, he does it extremely well and you can definitely tell that this is his passion. 10/10 highly recommend, you will not regret getting anything pierced here.

Best place for piercings!! The only piercing I had before yesterday was my lobes (done at Claire’s when I was 10). I was super nervous but was immediately put at ease while we talked and I watched the tools being sterilized. The shop was incredibly clean and I felt very safe. The conch piercing didn’t hurt nearly as much as I hyped myself up for it and Tom explained why he was putting it in the position based on the anatomy of my ear. 1000% worth every penny. I never thought I was one for piercings but the smooth process and flawless final result made me want even more. I will never go anywhere else, and you shouldn’t either!

Piercing experience was great! I was definitely nervous going in, but piercer was professional and clean. The only thing I wish Id understood was the pricing structure as it wound up being a little more expensive than I expected and I wasnt sure what the structuring of pricing was.

WOW. I love this piercer! I stopped by to get a second opinion about whether I could get a septum piercing. Another piercer had said no, because I barely have a “sweet spot.” Dendar took a look, told me I also had a deviated septum, and said that yes, it would be a risk to try to pierce. But, he knew he could do it, and was down for the challenge.We talked for a while before my appointment and this guy is SO fun to talk to. He’s awesome. And he pierced my septum perfectly! I had the best experience today! Dendar’s an artist. You can tell he really cares about his craft and loves it. He’s super proud of his autoclave and knows a lot about quality of jewelry and materials.

I had parked right by piercings by dendar, waiting for a friend for something else and saw a girl walk in. She was happy when she walked in but bawling her eyes out when she left. I overheard a bit of her phone call and dendar was rude, belittling, and manipulative. I was thinking about taking my 10 year old daughter there for an ear piercing, because of all the good reviews here, but that kind of behavior is not an environment which I want my daughter to be in. I would never subject my daughter to any of those attributes. We will take our business elsewhere.

My mother and I came here today; she got her daith and upper helix done, and I got my second lobe piercing as well as my mid helix. Horrible experience. Went to get my nose and belly button pierced didn’t get either one done. The owner was being extremely harsh telling me I could not get my belly button pierced, And made me very uncomfortable. Was called rude by the owner after being made uncomfortable and not responding to him. Should not talk to costumers especially minors like that.

The space is clean, and inviting! I got my septum pierced and had just a couple of minor issues with it, all of which he helped fix and work with me on very politely and talked me through everything that he was doing. He also helped my friend get comfortable before her own piercing, showing just how much he wants every one to enjoy their experience and their piercing!

I came into the shop knowing ahead to problematic piercings. I had him look at the piercings and evaluate the situation. He advised to take them out. And he was very detail-oriented on what was happening to these piercings. He is super knowledgeable and it was very friendly in regards to the situation at hand. A lot of experience Ive had with piercers have been straightforward it was more of a service they didnt really care as much about the customer. But I feel like this gentleman really cares about his job and cares about the work that he does. He replaced the jewelry in my conch and assisted me with keeping up with the aftercare and what to do next. While I was there a family came in to pierce their eight-year-old daughters here. And I love how we explain to the eight-year-old the process of getting a piercing. He asked her if she understood consent. She replied no. He informed her of what consent was and told the family that in order for her to get her ears pierced she needs to consent to what he is doing in to understand exactly what is going to happen. Because of this I have a lot of respect for him and his business because consent is a big deal when it comes to things like this.I will be back :)

Thomas was very professional, funny, and all around a nice guy to work with. He made me feel comfortable with my choice to get my nose pierced for a second time - the first time was a not so great experience that led to me take it out. Before the actual piercing, he informed me of piercing location and jewelry type and why that was important. The shop was very clean and sterile and both him and his fiancé were super helpful. I will be back for any additional piercings. If you’re thinking about getting a piercing for the first or 20th time, come to this shop. Thank you guys!! I love my new piercing.

Thom was an absolute pleasure from the moment I reached out to him to schedule my lip piercing. On arrival at his studio, I instantly felt at ease by his easygoingness and warm voice. A good personality is always a plus, but I really loved how professional Thom was--he was thorough in explaining healing time, after-care instructions, as well as his entire process. Never met a piercer who explained how he/she sterilizes their tools and jewellery! As long as Im in Frederick, I will only go to Thom for future appointments~By the way, its been a week with my new piercing and it is healing well. Im in love with it!
