I had a great experience. The staff was friendly (simple smiles are nice) and knowledgeable. They greeted me when I entered the building, so I did not feel ignored. I felt like they appreciated my business. They were professional, and I will definitely be back, and recommend them to my friends, family or colleagues.

Scheduling an appointment on line was a very convenient and easy to complete. Upon arrival at the service department was immediately met by a service representative to discuss the purpose of this visit. Was informed about what was going to happen and approximately how long it will take. At 93 years old Im not a spry as I used to be and the respect and consideration by everyone was appreciated. When service was completed was appraised of the remedy in layman terms. All personnel were pleasant, professional and considerate. The respect shown was greatly appreciated.

First the positive. I had a service appointment due to the engine light coming on & although very expensive it went well. Rose was my customer care person was very helpful, friendly and courteous.. She even found me a coupon to save me $56. So that part of my experience was fine, however once home I realized that I had been charged $11,110.57 for my $1110.57 bill. Its pretty obvious that an extra 1 was entered into the charge card terminal and Im sure it was a honest mistake, however when I called in to report this error the person on the other end of the phone thought it was quite funny. I didnt find any humor in it at all. I was worried the credit card company was going to hit me with a hugh fee for going over my credit limit. I was told that the service department was closed and that someone would call me back, which they did, but I missed the call. When I returned that call I was asked what department. I said I wasnt sure as this info was not left in my voice mail message. I explained the reason for my call and was put on hold. When this lady came back on the line she very rudely advised that the over charge had been corrected and that I needed to just wait 2 or 3 days for it to show up on my card. No apologies or taking ownership for the error. No get back to us if the credit doesnt show up or if we can help you further. What a lack of customer service/respect.

Asked for the truck to be washed and it was not done. Tire pressure was set 7 psi above where tire is rated (ALL TIRES). Credit card invoice not attached to service ticket. grease and hand prints on rear bed cover. Poor quality control! You can do better! You sold me this truck and I have had you perform all the service on it.

Across the board was a great experience, they expeditiously processed the trade on my old vehicle, financing was completed quickly, and by the conclusion of the day when I arrived after work, the new vehicle was ready for delivery. The sales department was professional and attentive, they have also followed up with me to be sure I am satisfied. The financing department was equally as professional. After 10 years as a returning customer, I will once again be returning. highly recommend the Ideal team.Lastly, a shout out to the service department, they are the anchor of the operation, and Justin is the best!. I received a voice message from Onstar indicating a problem with my battery had been detected and to have the dealership evaluate the issue. I contacted the dealership and described the issue resulting in an appointment scheduled for the following week., The next day, a Saturday, the vehicle would not start due to a dead battery. It was jump started and I drove to the dealership expecting to leave it until the next business day for evaluation.I was surprised when the service advisor (Rose Cochran) indicated a new battery would be installed that day. About an hour later, I was back on the road with a newly installed battery.I am very grateful for this level of service provided and the pro-activeness of the service advisor getting the issue immediately corrected.

Having a problem getting my car serviced for a recall on ABS. 1st I made an online appointment got there and was told I didnt have an appointment on the books, thus I showed them my appointment confirmation. Reschedule the appointment and was told the recall part had not come in at least twice, thus I rescheduled again. I change that appointment from today to Friday, however it was still on the books for today and it was also on the books for Friday. I was also asked what service do I need for my car. The appointment changed but the reason for the appointment didnt. I called the today and was told by a male that the recall parts did not come in, thus I called and a female advised me that they were in. I told her Mike called and said they were not in. She reassured me that the recall parts will be in on Friday. So were they in or n not? No offense at this point I cant trust what I am being told. The service use to be great but lately it hasnt been good. I am thinking I need to try another Hyundai dealership. I purchased my car from here and I can still say that I like the sales person, but the service department not so much.

I would not have bought my car at Ideal if not because of Dom. We bought a 2018 Subaru from him (a trade-in from another customer; its pure luck!). Dom was knowledgeable (all types/made of cars) and compared the pros and cons of a used Subaru. Most importantly, hes respectful of our choice and did not pressure us to get a Hyundai, which is supposed to his expertise. The process was very smooth, with no hidden fee, and we got everything done in a day. Overall, its a very honest and fair transaction. After we bought the car, he even helped us figure out how to transport the car to our daughter in Minnesota. I do not hesitate to recommend him at all.

Contacted about a test drive scheduled an appointment almost a week out. Drove over an hour to get there to find the car had not even been cleaned. Needed 3 tire just to pass inspection. Then the salesman said he was going to get tags and never came back. Could see him sitting inside at his desk filling out paperwork with about couple. Waited 20 min and left. Got an email asking what happened when I emailed him back he lied and said he told me it wasnt cleaned yet. I have every email (only way we talked) he never mentioned it wasnt ready for sale and had no pictures. This dealership is a joke.

I live in Northern Virginia and I originally planned to purchase the 2020 Hyundai Sonata Limited there. After a substandard encounter with an unhelpful and passively rude salesman, my friend convinced me to check out Ideal (She lives in Frederick). I didnt have high hopes of buying that day, but we had a 180 degree experience from the last place. We were greeted by Dom immediately and he was so kind, knowledgeable and helpful. He went into incredible detail about how everything worked with the vehicle. This really made me feel good about my purchase. Another thing I was impressed by was he wasnt pushy at all. I usually feel so much pressure and even trapped when I visit most car sales places. He worked hard to make sure we received the most discounts possible and it was such a pleasant car buying experience. Thanks again Dom!

This is very important to me as it lets me know I am not just someone getting their car fix I am a viewed as a person and that I am important. The staff were professional from start to finish. I called on a Monday with my issue. I dropped it off that afternoon. It was repaired within 24 hours (even with having to have a part delivered) and given a state inspection. The service staff kept in contact with me with updates. All were very friendly. They even ran the car through the car wash before giving it back to me.The cost was pretty high. After searching for the part at local auto parts stores, it seems that the fee for the part needed for my repair was a good bit higher than the Advanced Auto price. The labor fees were $445 dollars. That seems a bit high to me compared to labor fees I have incurred on previous significant car repairs; however, this is my first GMC brand, and I dont know the complexity of the engine. The end price was over $100 higher than the stated approximate price which was a shock, but I understand this is how it often is with car repair.Overall, I was satisfied with the service. The staff was great and the car runs wonderfully, it was just a bit pricey.

Dan Painter helped me trade in my 2017 canyon for a 2021 canyon. I had been to Koons GMC of Clarksville the week before, whom I had purchased the 2017 canyon from, and because they didn’t have the 2021 that I wanted, they would not help me. Dan and the Ideal team never said bringing in a 2021 canyon would be an issue, and did whatever they needed to in order to find the truck I wanted. They were pleasant and easy to work with, and are glad to have found a new dealership!

I have been a very long time customer at Ideal Buick GMC. Over the years the dealership has been great. In the last several years, the Service Department has been horrible. My Mother, whom is a long time customer as well has had her vehicle in several times for the same thing and has been charged for different parts and nothing fixed it. We took it to another place and it was fixed the first time. She against my will took her car back for another problem to Ideal Buick and was treated very poorly and rude. I even got on the phone with the lady and she was rude to me. I asked for the Manager and was told he was in a meeting but he would tell me the same thing. You have lost 2 long term customers over the treatment. Where is your customer service?

Vehicle was brought in for a recall notice to replace a sensor. Pick up and drop off was efficient and professional. Shuttle service was prompt and courteous. Vehicle was complete in a reasonable amount of time. Staff was easy to talk to while setting the appointment and arranging the pick up.The only drawback was while setting the appointment, I was told they would perform a courtesy inspection and wash the vehicle exterior. Unfortunately, although the weather was great during the days of service and pick up, the vehicle did not receive the courtesy car wash.

Manager is very rude when I ask about the car wash with oil change,He is not polite with the customer . I felt very sad after getting the oil change.They did not do the car wash after the job is done,when I ask the manger by showing unwashed car he gave rude reply as they did it before oil change for free it seems(they didn’t do it but lied coz I shown the dirty wheels and top of my car on rainy day). I thought the person is wrong then I became silent and left the room . I don’t think they did good job.next time I prefer go to other place . I don’t even give 1 star for the service manager.

In November of 2019 I asked Matt Ellington to help me with the purchase of a 2019 GMC Sierra Denali. Matt proved to be not only very well informed about the trucks features, but he was also readily available for follow-up questions. My wife and I were so impressed with Matt, that we called him yet again just last week to work with us in the purchase of a 2020 Buick Enclave Avenir. We really put him through the ringer as we returned several times after test driving comparable vehicles by other makers. But we always returned to the Enclave which we purchased. Matt has an engaging personality and we had many good laughs by the time the process was completed. Will definitely return to Ideal Buick and Matt Ellington when the need again arises.

Very bad experience, went in because i have a racall/claim on my gmc terrain, i was told i had to do an oil change and bring it every thousand miles. The first two times i made an appointment and i was told they had to add oil because it was burning it, then i was told i could stop by and they would check it quickly but it was a mistake. Mike the manager in service checked it the last two times which he stated the engine oil was full. I had check it previously and it was empty. That same day mike checked i took it to mr tire for a second opinion and they stated there was no oil in my engine, i returned to gmc to inform them that there was no oil but mike insisted it was full we check it together and his brain was seeing oil where there was no oil. In addition, i took it to the gmc in gathersburg md the next day in which they also confirmed there was no oil in the engine. Very disappointed they have unqualified technitians/managers

Many negative reviews were for the service center (really wish that were a separate profile on here). We met with Brett earlier in the week after seeing the 2013 Tahoe on car gurus. Smooth process, fair trade & we drove away in the vehicle my husband wanted. Ill update Ill once theres some wear on the vehicle, but I enjoyed our time with everyone there Brett is a great young man pleasant and polite & the rest of the staff (the lady that my husband signed everything with-I know he liked talking shop and was more than likely impressed with your experience & knowledge). I purchased a used car because I needed to keep my monthly cost low. I test drove multiple vehicles and inspected and sat inside several others. It was raining that day, and while Dan could have stayed inside while I stood in the rain to make my decision, he did not, he waited outside in the rain with me as I stared at the cars! I enjoyed talking with Mike during the signing process, hes a good person. It was an overall easy process, and I would recommend this place based on my experience.

We also had a scheduled appointment and they never got to my car, so they kept my car for a week-end, which made me with no car for three days. Personally I think they did not wanting to deal with warranty work. (I guess they get less money than outside warranty jobs). Justin in service is beyond amazing. He goes the extra mile for everything I need. Even as far as getting prices for my sons tires on his jeep. Always getting me in and out. I moved back from Rhode Island over a year ago and by my 3rd visit he was my go to advisor for everything. He makes sure I know what needs to be done and knows that with my work schedule I make my appointments when I can. He never pressures me and knows I’ll come in the second I get. I had a wonderful experience at Ideal Buick GMC when I purchased a 2017 Hyundai Tucson. Mr. Leon Johnson did a great job explaining all the bells and whistles in the Tucson, as I had many questions. So I did my test drive here and worked with Nathan Pitts. This guy was nice, he was friendly and he genuinely worked with me to get a deal. We got the payments to something i could afford and even stayed a little late to go over all the features with me again so i could leave that lot with all the know how to make all the bells and whistles work. This dealer was top notch and i am still confident in my decision. In the future when i need a new car, these guys are my first stop.

I recently moved to the United States from overseas and needed something reliable to get me from A to B. I purchased a hyundai accent from Ideal Hyundai from a dealer called Clyde and a manager called Mike and everything seemed to be fine. Two weeks later an engine light came on and I brought it back to the service dept and paid $126 for my service to be told I needed a new catalytic converter... I asked to speak to dealer Clyde and was told he no longer worked at Ideal?!! I asked to speak to Mike but was told he was not in yet... Before speaking to the management/ paying $1200 for a new converter I decided it was best to leave and come back. I eventually got my keys and turned the ignition and my car wouldnt start... I was told my battery was very low and that I needed to buy a new one.. After multiple phone conversations and back and forth the best I was offered was $200 off a new catalytic converter.. I even contacted Hyundai USA who were shocked at the behaviour I experienced but unfortunately have no jurisdiction over Ideal Hyundai/ Buick GMC.Since, I have noticed my engine warning light comes and goes every few days. When I was considering purchasing my car Mike told me that a lady and her daughter had been test driving the car before me and were pretty much coming back later that day to put down a deposit. It is my opinion that Ideal Hyundai/ Buick GMC knew this car had a bad cat. converter and wanted to make a quick sale and therefore took advantage of someone who was new to the USA and unfamiliar with the car trade here. My 1 month/ 1,000 mile warranty did not include the cat. converter which is an essential part of a car given the strict MD state inspection levels.For your own sake please do not consider buying from this predatory and deceptive company. Do yourself a favor and take your business elsewhere.
