I went to do my eyebrows and the results were any near of what I was expecting. I was like she did not want to remove a lot of hair, so she ending removing almost nothing. The name of the girl is Olivia. But, the rest of customer service on the store is very nice.

Lucy was so very kind and helpful when I called for information about a product! Also, a shout-out and thank you also to Paige, one of the managers.

Great make up for the wife and kids and a awesome cologne section for men. They had all the new fragrances. Even some special editions. Was surprised!

Nice selection. Associates are helpful. The worst part of my time there was checking out. The POS machines need desperate updating. My debit card chip is bad and, at every other store, it can be inserted in the POS machine 3 times and then allow the card to be slid. At this store that doesnt happen. The associate ringing me up had no idea how to troubleshoot and then took me to another register to see if it would work there. This took at least 5 min. It took another 5 min to re-do the transaction on a different register and by then I was very irritated. They, apparently, cant put the card in manually and as a last ditch effort asked me if I wanted to apply for their credit card to pay and I said absolutely not and left my $91.00 purchase there and walked out. I drove 20 min to get to the store, spent another 40 min selecting my things, waited 5-6 min to get to a register because they only had one person ringing up and the person in front of me did apply for the store credit card. Then waited 10 min to pay for my things. It was hugely frustrating and time consuming. PLEASE UPDATE YOUR POS MACHINES AND TRAIN YOUR EMPLOYEES HOW TO TROUBLESHOOT AND PROVIDE BETTER CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!

Crystal in the salon did a really great job on my hair cut. She was very kind while still being cautious due to COVID! I will definitely be seeing her again.

Tried to place a online order this morning. And my ulta credit card that is in very good standing was declined. These were Christmas presents. The only answer I got from them that it under review and told me to go to your local store to get your items. Seriously??? And I can’t place this order online but if I go to their store I can place it there. This is not the first time I had problems with them. I’m closing my account with them. I will take my business elsewhere. Your loss Ulta

I had an awful experience in this store a few days ago. Ordered something online that was a sale item for a secret Santa. Received an email that the order was ready. Went into the store to pick the item up two days after ordering it. Spent roughly 30 + minutes waiting for numerous employees to locate it. I heard many different explanations and excuses for the misplaced order (one that stuck out the most was that it was sold to someone else). Of course the store did not have any more of this item. Lastly a woman walked over to me stating that I could pick another item or I could get a phone call when they’d get this product back in. I was forced to drive to another store 30+ miles away to pick this item up. When I asked how I was going to be compensentated for this mistake and inconvenience I was told by the supposed manager “the item is already discounted and that she was sorry for the HONEST mistake” in a very sarcastic tone. I’m venturing to say my item which I bought 50% off was sold to someone who paid full price for the item. Again awful experience and most of the complaints about customer service being awful are true.

Lots of variety from basic hair and skin, to high end products. The employees are always absolutely gracious and quite helpful. Other businesses can take a lesson from the wonderful customer service. 🤗💛

Great selection. Buy Its a 10 here. And Baby Bliss products. Can get a little crazy during the holiday time like most places. Hoping they get more Mac products and Fenty one day. They sell Philosophy which is one of my favs. Love that you can bring things back with no hassle too!

I love the idea of this store because they let you “try makeup before you buy it.” However, I only gave it 3 stars because I get dirty looks when I take off makeup that I tried and didn’t like. They have samples of everything open so you can put it on and find the shade/color that works best for you. One time I tried on some eye shadow. I put it on one eye lid, but did not like how it looked on me. Naturally, I wanted to remove it. I looked around the store for makeup remover, but the only thing they provide is water and rubbing alcohol. Water alone will not remove most makeups and rubbing alcohol would burn like hell if I put it on my eye lid. So I asked if they had something else I could use. The lady who I asked just looked at me like I was cray and said but you just put the makeup on..... I told her I know, and I don’t like the shade, which is why only 1 eye is done. I want to take it off and try another. She rolled her eyes, but did get something for me to use. Another time I was trying on liquid foundation and put on a shade too light. Again, I had to ask for help finding something to remove the old makeup. This time I asked a different girl working there if they had makeup remover. She looked totally bewildered and had to clarify... You mean, you want to take it off? Again, I had to explain that I didn’t like the shade and wanted to put another on to test it before I bought it. If you want to try on a powder foundation (which I have), there are never any makeup brushes available for you to use. When you ask for one, they have to supervise you while you try it on, which is uncomfortable and frustrating. Now, I understand if they were concerned that I was wasting makeup and would contribute to their loss preventions, but I am literally trying on 2, MAYBE 3, colors to be sure I am getting something I like. On average, I spend about $120.00 each time I shop there. And anything I do buy goes into their shopping totes, so I am clearly showing them I intend to buy the stuff I pick out. Ulta has a policy that they will let you return any makeup even if it is used. So, if I buy everything I think I like, try it at home and hate most of it, I can return it and get my money back. What does the store do with the returned product? They have to damage it out because it cannot be re-sold. I would think with this return policy they would be super happy having you try lots of things on BEFORE you buy to save money, but every time I go there I do not get that impression… I don’t know, maybe they want you to look like a stripper caked in 100 shades of different makeup when you leave…. On the flipside, they do have some good deals, great gift sets, and usually have a fair amount of giveaways if you buy certain things. I recommend you stay away from the eye brow waxing area. Thick square brows are the latest beauty trend so if you ask them to keep your natural shape, just clean it up you will still come out looking like Captain Spock.

This place is great ! I think it’s better than Sephora 🤷🏻‍♀️ lots to choose from & much more affordable. They have Kylie products now you can just go buy instead of waiting weeks in the mail .People are nice & helpful .

The store that has it all! This is the Mecca of all your beauty needs. The ladies are helpful and full of personality. They truly enjoy their jobs. Taylor applied my lashes and did a great job. PS. If you buy Benefit lashes, they will apply for free! My only wish is they could improve check out. No one likes to wait 10 mins to give anyone money.

The salon is awesome. I got my hair cut into a pixie at another salon but didnt really turn out the way I wanted I ended up here to have it fixed and Victoria is awesome with my hair. I dont want to go anywhere else.

Went in after working out. No make up, not dressed up. An older lady talked down to me as if I could not afford the pricier items. She was showing me an item and kept saying its much more expensive. You can keep it lady.

Three stars because most of the time I have a good experience. However, having a Philosophy rep disguised as a Skincare Specialist is appalling. I felt bullied and harassed by this lady claiming to be an expert who told me lies about Philosophy products. (For example that the cleanser had no fragrance or alcohol, when it in fact has both). She completely disregarded my skin concerns, even though i told her I was specifically looking for a moisturizer for oily skin. She also insisted that I only buy philosophy and that every other brand is garbage. Its so irresponsible to have someone claiming to be an expert when really all they are is a salesperson who only cares about selling you a product.

Great store. Its clean and the people are nice however, they dont carry everything other ultas do like M.A.C or Juvias place or beauty bakery.

Joyce in the Frederick maryland salon is AMAZING! She listens then teaches what is best for your hair and style. So glad I found her.

I always come back here for the benefit eyebrow and lip wax with Taylor. Shes amazing, she made my unruly brows perfect. She even taught me how to fill and conceal my brows.

This is my favorite place, as I get my hair cut, facials, makeup sessions, and all of my beauty products here at ULTA.

I just left Ulta and had to leave my feedback. I was in the perfume section for women. There were 2 ladies there along with myself looking at perfumes. An employee approached them letting them know about the new fragances and if they needed assistance. I was next to them and she didn’t even acknowledge me at all. She did see me because there was eye contact. Didn’t offer me to smell new fragrance nor if I needed assistance. Made me feel very uncomfortable because she went to cosmetic section and I was smelling other perfumes and just looked at me and still didn’t offer any help. Everyone she saw asked them if they needed help. Very unprofessional I doubt that I will be back. I’ll just drive to Rockville always have been helped, acknowledged and not discriminated. And by the way I purchased 2 perfumes and spent $186.56 to be exact.

I like Ulta because of their wide selection of cosmetics. The only problem is thay are way overpriced. The items described as non pretige items can be bought at Walmart for a much lower price. You cant even use their coupons (which are very scarce) on the prestige products. Just another name for very, very pricey products. Helpful but not friendly. The girls who work there wear WAY TOO MUCH makeup. My grandson who is 20 said they were scary looking. Quote, he said, I wonder what they look like without all that makeup.

The woman I spoke w/ on Tuesday had a very good grasp of knowledge relating to the new Benefit brow products. I left feelings bit overwhelmed & needed to think things through before deciding which products I wanted to purchase. Going back tomorrow to purchase products.

I would recommend to the management: Educate you staff, particularly the flamboyant males, what is and is not appropriate to say to a pregnant woman.

Long lines! Only 2 cashiers, other employees standing around doing nothing looking at the 10 person line and did nothing! One of the cashiers was trying to talk the customer into opening a credit card instead of trying to move the line along!

I came to ulta beauty for the first time for a makeup appointment that I had set up for prom and I was absolutely satisfied. I was serviced within 5 minutes of my appointment times. I also appreciated that they had called in advance to confirm my date and time. My makeup artist perfectly recreated what I had envisioned for prom. Because of this experience, I felt drawn to ulta beauty as a go-to store for all pf my favorite brands. Although I could spend less money at walmart or online at amazon, the awesome customer service and makeup knpwledge from the emplouees makes it all rewarding, they will never let me down.
