The donuts are SO good (as is the coffee). I think the cake are better than the raised. The people who work here are amazing - friendly and helpful.
We only had donuts and they were amazing. If you hadnt told me they were vegan, I wouldnt have thought they were anything different. Super moist and fluffy without being too sweet. Staff is super nice. Grab a donut and coffee and walk along the creek!
Excellent food and doughnuts with a side of great vibes. Beware they have menu choices that could potentially turn omnivores into vegans! They get bonus points in my book for hiring singer-songwriters. I love this place.
I absolutely adore this place. I recently had a diagnosis of a dairy intolerance and I LOVE that I can eat anything on the menu without having to worry about hidden cheese or butter.BRING ON THE DOUGHNUTS!
Super friendly staff. Very accommodating to allergies. Food was tasty. Especially the doughnuts!
Drove 40 minutes for hands down *the best vegan food* Ive eaten in 12 years; and I just moved here from a vegan mecca. We tried the apple pie stuffed french toast and fried egg platter. Left with a donut. My friends exact words when trying it-I want this to be the last thing I eat before I die. Great service. Awesome parking. If you guys ever want to open one in MoCo-Id gladly help start that. Food (and inclusion) is far too amazing for just one location.
I got a pumpkin cinnamon roll that was as big as my face. I called in prior to going in, the person I spoke with was able to answer all my questions/cravings and set me up with the perfect end of the week treat to myself. I ended up sharing with a coworker because it was too good not to share the gloriousness with someone else and spread the joy!
I waited 9 months since I moved to Fredrick to try Glory Donuts. Admittedly, it was because it was vegan. I am not vegan, though I think it is an incredible lifestyle choice . However, HOLY SMOKES — these are some of them best donuts I have EVER had. I am astonished though I’m not sure now why I should be now 😂. My goodness I’ll be back. So very good. I got the pumpkin chai and the cold brew donut.
Customer service is always great! New location is excellent. Food is very good! My daughter is vegan and she has always loved the donuts and now starting to explore the menu more. I am a meat eater but Ive been happy with what Ive tried here. I think it can be a challenge to show hardcore meat/dairy consumers that they can have a fulfilling restaurant experience without those things but these folks have it down.
Great place for very fresh donuts reminds me of childhood. Going to get donuts at local corner store where they were made fresh every day. Great atmosphere to sit and enjoy
The food was amazing, I ordered the breakfast burger OMG it was so good . If you haven’t eat here you won’t be disappointed this was my first time and I will most definitely will be coming again, although it’s one hour drive it’s well worth it
Over a 30 min wait for our breakfast on a Sunday morning but phenomenal service and food, as usual.
The coffee had a mellow but strong taste and had a beautiful aroma to it especially with the oatmilkI will definitely would go back again
This was my first time eating at Glory Doughnuts. I must say, I was very impressed with how busy they became in just the hour that my wife and I were there. It was a great experience. I live an hour away and was in the area. When I saw Vegan Breakfast on the Google search, I was super excited. The place is tiny but the employees were super friendly. I had a Tofu Fried Egg sandwich w/peppers, tomato, vegan cheese on Texas Toast, Their Vegan donuts are amazing. Next time, Im trying their Pancakes. Ive been Vegan since February 2017 and this is my best vegan restaurant experience so far. I will go back again. I highly recommend this place even if you have to wait for your food. If your reading this, I hope you give Glory Doughnuts a try. Enjoy.
What a treat this place was after a trail run. I’m not a big one for sweets but who can resist donuts, especially one with rainbow sprinkles. The gem of this place is that it’s vegan. Those donuts, vegan. That breakfast sandwich, vegan (eaten by my friend who says it was incredible. And the plated bakers breakfast which I devoured and was absolutely phenomenal.I can’t wait to go back. 🤩
Just a thought, maybe don’t deal with Uber Eats pickup orders if you don’t plan to fulfill them?I realize you’re slammed, and that you’re popular for a reason, but you canceled my pickup order 20 minutes before it was scheduled to be ready, no explanation. Not trying to make a federal case out of it, and I’m sure I’ll be back because I’m a glutton for punishment, but really? Not that it matters at all, but it’s my birthday.
The food was OK but I did not like the donuts. They were chewy and had a weird yeasty taste, almost like stale beer? Not worth the price paid. However the staff was friendly and service was pretty fast despite how busy it was
The best donuts and brunch to be found in Frederick or anywhere else on the planet! A must visit whenever close to the area!!
Nice small vegan donut shop & diner in downtown Frederick, just a few blocks from the main drag. Had a Friday lunch here and it was not too busy, the service was fast and friendly, and the food was tasty! I had the BBQ Tofu Club, it was HUGE. And the ranch they put on there was the bomb. This place is 100% vegan and 100% on my list of spots to visit again.
The ambiance is on point. Love the staff. The food is a keeper.
We were headed to the area to do some hiking so I googled donuts and this place popped up. Ive tried Vegan donuts before and other than the fact that they are a little chewier than regular donuts they taste pretty much the same. The shop was fairly busy when we arrived (it was a Sunday at 10 am) but I was greeted by a very helpful young man who advised me of the specials and shared his personal favorites. I decided on 2 donuts (they do serve breakfast as well but keep in mind that seating is limited) Strawberry Frosted & a Rye Whiskey Long John. Both were very good but my favorite was the Long John, you could definitely pick up the taste of the rye whiskey, subtle and sweet. The prices are on par with what gourmet donuts are going for everywhere but it does keep people from picking up a dozen thats for sure. I also ordered an Orange Mango Juice thinking it would be fresh juice so I was a bit taken aback to see the clerk reach into the fridge and pour from a Trop 50 bottle of Orange Mango Juice. Bad enough I just paid $3 for a cup of juice but the artificial sweetener in the juice made it way too sweet with a horrible aftertaste. The staff is all very friendly and I think its awesome that they employ someone with special needs. The young man who greeted me came running outside when he saw our golden retriever and spent several minutes loving on him and chatting with us.
If you want anything but donuts just forget itthey legit made me and my mom wait an hour for sandwiches that they had ready ages ago because they basically just forgot we were therethe sandwiches werent great mostly because they were all soggy from sitting there for an houryou can just get the donuts at common market on 7th street fri-sun anyways so not really much point in coming thereedit: there was mo barbecue sauce on the bbq tofu club eother which from looking at other reviews apparently there is supposed to be
Im always looking out for vegetarian restaurants and this one must have flown under the radar.Food was very good, service was pleasant and efficient.Several notes.1. Their stock is limited, the earlier you order the better chance it will be in stock. If you do need to order later be flexible in what you want.2. It is currently (1/2021) carry-out only so you cant easily browse the available selection in store
I had heard really good things about this place but in my mind I thought Vegan Menu ? Would i like it. Let me tell you I was Blown away at how Amazing the food tasted. The service was incredible 👏 they awnsered all my questions and inquires. WE had the iron pot Pancales we waited 30 min for them Worth it. The doughnuts were soft and airy and not super sweet. I loved that everything was reasonably priced and the service was fast. I Highly recommend and will be back very soon.
The food here is pretty good but the doughnuts are not. If you are looking for a bite its the spot but doughnuts are not remotely warm or fresh they are far too dense.
Completely worth the 2 hour drive! Will definitely be back soon.
The Birthday Cake doughnut was my favorite but the cinnamon roll was also excellent! If my wife hadnt told me, then I would have not known either were vegan. Remarkably tasty work, Ill be back!
Donuts are kind of hard, the chocolate chip cookie sandwich was extremely too sweet. The coffee was weak. I think a little overpriced. Customer service was great tho : )
~ Although I only got to try one donut from here, I can see why this place is popular. The donut was fluffy, sugary, delicious, all a donut should be. I also tried one of their breakfast sandwiches, it was so yummy. I do wish they would´ve had more donuts to go around though I mean it is called Glory Donuts, all in all great job guys. ~
Stopped in for breakfast, stuffed apple pie French toast, and sampled their doughnuts as well. Food was fresh and absolutely scrumptious! Employees were friendly, professional and attentive. Shop was clean, bright, nicely decorated, and playing some lovely jazz music. I loved that they offer a variety of unique doughnut flavors, and have a full menu of vegan lunch and dinner items to choose from as well.
Amazing service and amazing donuts! Not much more you could ask for go in and check them out you will not be disappointed!
Its not a place for cheap doughnuts but they do have a wide selection of specialty doughnuts for almost every day. Youd have to be a foodie fanatic to try that feat. Id recommend the seasonal peach cider and the white chocolate raspberry doughnut for the most flavor so far when visiting in the summer.
Stopped here on the way out of town. Decent selection and also tried the cold brew. Coffee was good and not too strong of a taste for being a cold brew. Doughnuts were delicious and price was about 3.50 for each of the specialty kinds. No specials on larger orders, so a half dozen will run around $21. The maple was my favorite. Would recommend if in the area and wanted to try a quality doughnut.
Love the donuts...... but.... the website looks good but doesnt mention they sell donuts at all??? (and the donuts are great!!!)
Very good vegan food and donuts
The sign says hand forged which seems appropriate since were tough. Icing was good. Two donuts for the kid was almost $8.
Amazing!! Great staff and great product. The consistant assortment change makes ot fun to go back often and discover something new and delicious
The food was good, but it took a very long time. They also didn’t have normal creamer for coffee.
Great place! The doughnuts were not super sweet and tasted great. Highly recommend it.
I love this place!!! You cannot find better food anywhere!
I can’t rave enough about this place. I recommend any flavor of doughnuts, in particular their strawberry shortcake and chai tea frosted one! You would never believe they were vegan. Their food menu is THE BOMB. Their tofu fried egg sandwich was phenomenal. My first dish I tried hooked me, which was their “Huevos Rancheros”. Wow. Their home potatoes are perfection! Well seasoned and not too soft or undercooked. Their staff is so friendly and inviting. Yes, it’s a pretty small place. It’s definitely just a place to grab and go or maybe sit for a few minutes since it has limited seating. I travel all the way from Washington, DC to Frederick, which is a 50 minute drive just to visit Glory!
I wish I lived closer. Had an awesome doughnut that was recommended by the young lady working there. We were close in age Im sure but had manners as if I was senior. Definitely going back when in the area
I have cravings for the Farmhouse Chow Chow burger. Its that good! Really yummy food and the doughnuts are delicious.
Love Glory Doughnuts! For their vegan food and absolutely the best doughnuts you can ever have!
Busy. Staff is friendly and quick. Excellent bakery
Delicious vegan food. Outside tables.
Delicious food and kind staff ♥️
Worth the stop on a road trip. The donuts are good - not as good as Vegan Treats but better than any other vegan yeast donuts Ive had (I dont like cake donuts at all). I saw an ingredients list that included nutmeg - I dont like nutmeg so was glad to not taste it in the dough. They were not overly greasy or heavy - they are homemade and vegan so heavier than a chain donut shop dough, but in a good way. Id prefer slightly different flavors than what were offered but they were decent.I also had the fried ravioli and pierogi which were good if eaten hot. I feel like at least one more pierog should be included for the price. Dough dough dough. As of early September, no one is allowed in and calling ahead to order and pay seems to be the best bet.
Very nice doughnuts! Soft, flavorful, delish!! I got the funfetti flavor and it was perfect!
Absolutely love the vegan food here and I enjoy getting to be adventurous with my donut choices/ flavors. I had the just egg n’ sausage sandwich for my breakfast this morning and it was delicious! They also make the process of ordering and picking up feel safe and easy throughout covid, and their customer service is great, with very kind employees! I definitely recommend!
Drove 30 mins for dough to be sold out at 11:30 on a weekday! I love this place, but selling out on a weekday before 12 is disappointing. Better luck trying Elizabeth’s Counter in VA as they usually have dough until closing and you’re pretty much guaranteed to get dough, making it worth the drive.
Awesome donuts, and so healthy! ;)
Such nice people on staff and incredible donut flavors.
Absolutely fantastic vegan doughnuts and vegan breakfast sandwiches. My partner and I happened to come across Glory Doughnuts online and immediately had to try it out, and it did NOT disappoint. They were so kind and took our order at the door (because of COVID), and let us know how exactly long it would take to make the food. I will definitely be a frequent customer now. Thanks so much!
People and place are fantastic even though they are getting settled and it was a bit of a wait, it was well worth it. Just visiting her from NY, Ill definitively be visiting every time Im here.
I enjoy this place and its in a great location.
If you’re within fifteen minutes, vegan, and tolerate hipsters, go for it! If none of the above, no soup for you.
Great doughnuts. Wonderful people. I will always support businesses that do the right thing and go the extra mile. I hope everyone in Maryland supports your guys!!!
Amazing vegan doughnuts!
All plant-based diet friendly! A quaint donut shop with a badass vibe. Stopped by here after a short hike at South Mountain State Park. Missed out on the donuts but came here for the all-day breakfast menu - the bakers breakfast along with some hot apple cider. The tofu scramble and JAM nailed it. And Im not even vegan.
So fresh, best donuts!! Yummy flavors. Especially love the glazed blueberry!!
It’s an alright place but there’s better donut shops out there. French toast I got was cold and the doughnuts are too doughy.
Donuts are made with too much dough. Don’t waste your time here. Try out some better local places! I don’t recommend and food is served cold.
Once I had a dental appointment in Frederick downtown. I visited early in the morning and opposite to my dental care, I saw a long queue waiting outside glory donuts to open on Saturday morning. That made me curious and I bought 3 different flavored doughnuts and they were so so delicious. And I loved their service too☺️
Bought a dozen doughnuts $42 yikes !! and then was told they require 18% gratuity. I like to support small local businesses but..... When I got home I tried each doughnut. They were STALE. The only one that was fresh, was the mocha. Dissatisfied and disappointed.
I made an hour detour last year just to come here. It was worth it. Delicious! And vegan!!
The crispy French toast felt like a complete rip off, after waiting 40 minutes my girlfriend got ONE PIECE of bread cut in half corner to corner for $10. It looked like a joke in the carryout container. I feel absolutely shafted and I think that this French toast is the worst value of any restaurant in Frederick! Most vegan restaurants Ive been to give you three thick pieces of toast for the same price! This was a thin piece of wonder bread! My girlfriend and I budget to eat out only once a week to save money, and we definitely struck out this week.
Best ever doughnuts in Frederick
So totally delicious. The bbq potato and bean burrito was incredible and so filling. The donuts were some of the best I have ever had.Worth the trip for anyone searching to eat healthy food that tastes amazing.
Bought a dozen donuts. Wasnt told till after they took our card to pay that there is a forced gratuity over a $40 purchase. I dont understand why the customer would be punished for spending more money. We werent even allowed into the building and we were just standing outside so it wasnt like we were being waited on. Long time vegan, so eating donuts for me are pretty rare. Donuts were okay, sadly nothing really special. Not coming back.
These donuts are for sure 5 stars, but they always sell out super fast so you have to get their early. I wish they expanded their operation a bit so that you could get their full donut menu at like 10 am still.
Good doughnut and pastry. Driving by stopped at the light and noticed a lot of foot traffic. Had no idea the doughnuts were vegan. Pleasantly surprised at the quality and taste. It was later in the afternoon so the staff informed the kitchen was closing. Was unable to try any of the prepared food. Did try out a couple of doughnut and pastry though.
Great donut spot, grab some coffee from frederick coffee co across the street and a donut from here
These are the best vegan donuts Ive had in the US! I will happily make the hour drive from Baltimore to support this awesome restaurant. Besides the donuts, it has a full breakfast and lunch menu thats entirely vegan.
