I had a thermostat go bad luckily at the beginning of the season and not during a blizzard. Fortunately the service department sent a tech out the same day and it was replaced very quickly. Thanks to all involved Im now ready for the cold weather to come.

Just wanted to say that Griffith Energy is the best. !!! I had a question on the oil heating and the agent promptly schedule for a tech to come out at no charge she told me. Dave, the tech found the issue immediately and said that it was a simple issue and there would be no charge, but I also had them lock at my systems and with recommendations they said I could upgrade the thermostats. One was covered but the other two I could buy if I wanted to. There was no pressure and I was glad to have this work done. Dave was very courteous and answered all my questions ... even the question I had about the logo of the company. I had no idea the logo was a real dog and a child that are part of the Griffith family .. no actors or stock photo. This showed me that Griffith is really a caring, and honest company and also the dog was a rescue.. which I was so happy to know, since I have many rescues of my own.

Annual furnace cleaning and tune up. Tech Dale was super nice. Very polite and courteous and made himself available for any questions I had. He addressed and fixed the issues I brought up to him. He did a great job!

I called to request an AC service in preparation of the upcoming hot summer. Technician Greg Leikus responded to my home. After giving me a courtesy call indicating what time he expected to be at my home. He was there 10 early. He asked where everything was and promptly went to work. As he was working, I watched a little to see if he needed any assistance. He didnt. But I was impressed with his attention to detail, meticulous examination of the equipment and the preventative maintenance performed on my equipment. At the end of the service, Greg related a few things that I should keep an eye on as well as some things to make sure the system operated properly. All I can say is he was great to deal with and very personable. I would HIGHLY recommend him and his team for your HVAC needs. Thanks Greg!

Frank came to our house to repair our AC. He was very kind and incredibly dedicated to determining what the cause of our AC not working could be. Throughout the process, he explained each step he was taking to figure out the cause. After countless trips up and down our condo steps, he was able to determine what the problem was. Dirty crooks. We have been struggling to pay off existing debt to the point they threatened collections. Finally paid off the debt and they came on their own accord when oil prices are through the roof to fill the tank in MAY. We clearly dont need oil for several months and now we owe $400. The absolute worst company I have ever worked with, I would strongly advise to use someone else for your oil needs.

Initial call was good - was able to talk to a human being promptly and had my call returned in a timely fashion. Technician visited in a timely fashion when I had 1/4 tank of oil left to verify tank was in acceptable condition. After that, crickets - no oil delivery in the following days, no way of reaching a human to talk to, and no return call after leaving a message. Now that I have no oil in the wintertime, Ive made arrangements with another oil delivery service. Quite disappointing - be aware if you have 1/4 tank that it would be wise to make concrete arrangements for delivery.

I have had the GOLD Service Plan on my oil-burner with Griffith since I purchased my home. The technicians are always thorough and honest with regard to system performance, condition, recommendations, etc. My most recent service was performed by Greg Leikus. I have a service plan with Griffith and live in an old 1900’s cabin. Needless to say that I have called them a few times! They came out on 12/23 and I didn’t get the techs name but he looked like a coal miner when he finished cleaning my furnace. We recently moved to Frederick and within two months our air conditioning failed. We knew we would have to replace our boiler soon as well. Griffith helped us walk through all our options and had better prices than other vendors. They had us set up quickly and have been friendly to work with and responsive when we needed them. Just had our one year AC check up and the tech, Greg Leikus, was super efficient -- even dealt with our new (and overly friendly) pup easily and without complaint. This is a great company to work with.

Griffith has serviced for maintenance both heat and AC and replaced my homes AC system several years ago. Two weeks ago, The furnace in AC mode starting cause the electric panel box circuit breaker for the furnace to snap off, killing the AC. As a nationally certified home inspector, I diagnosed what I could but did not find the culprit. I called for service at 1 am and by 2 pm the service tech was at my home and doing the best investigation he could. The refrigerant was low, so he charged that, thinking that would solve the problem.A few days later, off went the breaker, so at 2 am, I called for service, asking for a tech with superior knowledge of electrical problems. 2 pm that day, Lee Smith came. Lee has serviced my system repeatedly and I knew him to be first rate. He spent some time trying to understand the problem and finally found the transformer shorting on to the furnace housing. He replaced the transformer and the problem has been fixed. Griffith is a well managed company and very responsive if you have a service maintenance agreement. Art Lazerow

I use Griffith for oil deliveries and servicing of my oil burner and AC system. They just finished my annual AC servicing. As usual, Dale was profession and friendly, not hesitating to go into the blazing hot attic to check out the part of the system up there. Bravo, Dale.

First things first, I WOULD NEVER leave Griffith because of their helpfulness when we had severe financial problems over 20 years ago. The tech who came out early as promised, no window for me, I was first. He spent over 2 hours tuning up our system. He refused coffee but when he finished I managed to get him to take three home baked cookies. His demeanor was very professional and frankly I enjoyed our conversation. I forget to mention his name earlier but its Dale. Hope he can help you too sometime!!

Dale did a wonderful job on our annual service for our heating and separate air conditioning system which are both now in much better working order than before. He was efficient, courteous wore a mask and gloves and was respectful of the covi-19 quarantine restrictions.

Don Miner responded to our call for service on July 7 when the fan on our A/C unit stopped working. He was very professional and courteous. We needed to replace a switch which was promptly ordered. He returned the following day and had our unit up and running. He cleaned the drain panand charged the unit. Our unit is working well and we much appreciate his efforts.
