Very unprofessional. My wife and I have been giving this place our business for a couple years now and have had no problems. Now all a sudden an un-expired United States issued green card that shows the appropriate age is denied because “this store” doesn’t have to accept IDs other than ones from Maryland and because it made one of the employees feel “uncomfortable.” It is 2021 and if someone still has an issue with someone who is not from this country but with proper ID and paperwork then they need to reprioritize who they have working in the store so they are culture appropriated and that this issue won’t happen with future cliental. Unfortunately they have now lost our business; which doesn’t sound like much considering it’s only us 2, but we are Spring Ridge residents and felt very attacked on the issue. This should not still happen in 2021. Unacceptable.

Cant say enough good things about the store. Great selection, knowledgeable and professional staff. Prices always seem reasonable. The staff is kind and polite treating many of their regular customers like family.

They denied a sale to my family member because they deemed his forms of identification as fake. It was a state drivers license and then we went back with his passport because we were told to by another employee (ironic, my husband is also a cop). They were asking me where we were from and said they wouldnt sell to us because people like us use fake IDs. I informed them that they were engaging in discrimination and although they vehemently denied, they had no response when I asked them why theyve been serving me for the two years Ive lived here in the neighborhood, but then denied me because of who I was with. Its 2019. Get an ID scanner so you can at least deny sales based on accurate and objective data versus subjective (racist) beliefs.

I have been going to the Spring Ridge Liquor store for 18 years and they not only took the time over the years to learn mine and my husbands name, but also our childrens, it is very much a family friendly store. You are treated more like a friend than just a customer! You will always have our business, Derrick & Nikki Walker, and family
