I used DOC Auto today for the first time. I got a routine emissions inspection. I was very impressed by the courtesy, professionalism, and pleasant demeanor of the employee working the front counter. She was pleasant to me in person and I also heard her on the phone with other customers in the morning and later that afternoon. She was courteous and professional with them too. I was impressed with how I was treated and will definitely give them another opportunity to service my vehicle next time it needs it.

The work seems to be good so far, I just picked it up. They didnt follow through with some of the ancillary things I wanted done. But I think they can be taken care of by me and friends of mine. Seems I always communicated first and still wouldnt have the work done if I didnt search for parts myself.They are super friendly and nice.

Connie is amazing !! I wish I could give her 10 stars love her ! So personable and very sweet ! Only complaint I have is that the other office lady I think her name is Audrey is not good at communicating anything ! Told us the car was ready when it wasn’t and was not considerate at all ! WARNING: DO NOT USE UNLESS YOU WANT DAMAGE DONE TO YOUR VEHICLE!I use to use this shop for years until I took my new Honda Pilot there for a tire rotation. When I picked it up, there was a 4in scratch on the steering wheel!!! I called them and went in ASAP as it happened. They (including the owner) denied all responsibility stating There is no way one of our technicians could have done that. (Meanwhile, a technican walking out of the garage had a ring on and the women at the front desk who moves the vehicles had a couple rings on each hand and 2in long nails.)When you drop off your $45K+ vehicle or ANY vehicle for that matter, you should get it back the exact way they you left it. Not to incur damage!!!

I came to DOC Auto Chatham Heights based off personal recommendation. I was a first-time visitor and wasnt certain of what exactly was wrong with my vehicle. Not only was i given a warm welcome from Stephanie, I was given peace of mind. In my first visit, my vehicle wasnt able to be diagnosed at that very moment. I was provided a loaner car at no charge. I was able to go about my normal day-to-day without worrying about my car. I was called with a diagnostic update, part order turnaround, and rough estimate of pricing. I had a wonderful experience. I didnt have to way too long, they were all very friendly and welcoming. After getting my emissions done they then wiped down my car and vacuumed it out and left this cute little box with fortune cookies in it which I thought was funny and kinda nice. Before I got to DOC auto my low tire pressure light went on and I planned on filling my tires after my test, but the nice gentleman testing my car was kind enough to fill my tires for me which I was so thankful for.Definitely recommend for great customer service and speedy tests done to all your vehicles

I was not too thrilled with my experience here, I showed up at 8 a.m. when they opened because its a first-come-first-serve basis and I was the second one in line to get an emissions test on my 1995 Mercedes. After waiting 35 minutes be customer service representative comes out and asked me if I could leave it because the emissions test would take an hour and it was going to hold the rest of their work up. I left with my vehicle and then found out from another Auto Service Place that I did not need to get an emissions test done in the first place because of the year of my car. Be customer service representative had this information prior to me coming to their office and this is something that should have been researched ahead of time and it would have saved me a trip and wasted time.

I went in for a state inspection and the service was awesome! Super quick and super friendly. On a super rad note, not only was I left with a passed inspection, I was greeted by a super cute Chinese take out box filled with fortune cookies! It made me smile after a day of Adulting. Well done :)

I came in first thing in the morning and they were able to take me right away. The mechanic was very knowledgeable and let me know everything that was wrong with my vehicle. He did a very thorough job and provided estimates for it all. He was also available to correct the deficiencies immediately, which was nice. I have yet to find a place with comparable service in the local area. Have been and will be back.

Took car in on a Thursday for alternator problems duck charge twice as much as other places. By Saturday car wasn’t running at all we had to have it towed back because they didn’t tighten something right. Took three additional days for them to get around to working on it. Not only did it cost us almost $800 for the work but for an extra additional $250 because we had to rent a car for three days it took them to getting around to doing the work that they messed up in the first place

I had a wonderful experience with Doc Auto. They took great care of my car. The mechanic, JACK always pays attention to every detail and treats it as if he would put his own family in it and for me that is so important and I really appreciate it. He also goes the extra mile and always takes time to explain things to me ( I’m not the best with cars). I know I’m not their only customer but they take special care to make sure I feel like my car got the best care. I will recommend this place to everyone I know. Thanks for everything.

I cant say anything bad about my total experience with Mandi and the techs at DOC. From the moment I arrived with this stressed look on my face to the complete opposite when I left after all of the repairs, the whole experience was amazing. I was treated not only with professionalism, kindness, warmth and care the entire process but Mandi really is the perfect example of what customer relations should be. Im BIG on that and could NEVER find that perfect or best place to bring your vehicle when you need repairs. She even took the time to text me along the way and to keep me informed on everything that needed to be done. Their honesty too was very much appreciated on what needed to be done and why. They even gave me a break on the final bill which I was not expecting. Oh, and the loaner car was great and very unexpected as well. Even at the end of my repair journey with DOC, the technician came out to explain some of the things that he had to do and showed me some of the old parts to really take the time and explain to me what had happened with my vehicle, why it was acting the way it was and now to expect a completely different feeling when driving it. Boy was he right. Its like driving a completely new vehicle again. Thank You DOC Auto!

One star for friendly service. If you dont mind paying lots for unnecessary repairs, you may leave feeling okay with the whole experience. I asked them to check our A/C that wasnt working and give me a quote. We paid almost $100 for the inspection and quote and walked away with a quote for $1500 to fix it. My husband fixed the relay for less than $20 in an hour the next day and it works fine.

Work was done to the car that did not need to be done. Short time later same symptoms with car and had to bring back. They redid what they had already done but refused to fix the “new” issue that they could not identify without more tests. I have used this place several times thinking it was just me not knowing enough about mechanic work. They do not finish anything in a timely manner. Staff does not communicate to customer effectively. They put false requests on the form and then it reads that the request was denied. I have spoken to other mechanic who affirmed I was taken to the cleaners paying 1,600 bucks for work I did not need. My car is still exhibiting concerns that I originally took it in for. Do not use this shop unless you want to spend money you don’t have and wait till they can get around to it.

Ive been taking my car here for years. With the exception of one oil change (and it had to do with timing, nothing Doc Auto did) I have had everything Ive needed for my car done by them. All the staff is super friendly. The best part is if you ask a question it doesnt get mansplained to you. They genuinely care about their customers. Pricing is on point too!

Been going here for several years when we need car repairs. Very good mechanics with a good philosophy on business. Honest friendly staff. Parking tight. Offer shuttle service . Very small office, do offer coffee and snacks. They even give you a little TY gift. Your car is clean when you pick it up. I appreciate that. Never had a problem here with service or repairs.

The AC in my car was NOT working at all!! I have a 3 yr old so they worked very quickly to fix it so id have my car back but working ac! Everyone was super nice & very professional. They even cleaned my window & vacuumed the floors. Skilled and friendly staff make it almost fun to get your car serviced. Prices are similar to dealer prices but the convenience of a local service location tips the scale. I had my three vehicles serviced there in one day (they all needed state and emissions inspections at the same time). They correctly diagnosed a problem with one of them and theyre all on the road. The fortune cookies are fun little plus.

I was particularly interested in non-standard replacement options such as a single mass clutch and they proceeded to provide quotes and intelligent discussion about options with the advantages and drawbacks. New to the area and had a puncture in my tire. I found DOC Auto on google I called in advance and they told me to come on over. I had no idea what to expect. Every point of interaction with the staff was great - from the gal working the front desk to the owner. They fixed my tire immediately. Amazing. I had a very minor service done, but they still treated me like I spent a lot of money. The signature fortune cookies in the console was a nice touch. I was already convinced I would bring my car there again. However, I was even more blown away by the letter that arrived in my mail a week or so later. This is the epitome of customer service and small business charm. It had letter from the owner giving some history of the business and a few little gifts. This is how you treat and retain customers. DOC does it right. We will be back for sure for any services needed on our cars. Thank you for being such a stand up business!

I brought my 16 yr old sons 1996 Buick Century in for a 90K mile service and overall comprehensive evaluation. The service was completed in one day and I was overwhelmed by in depth information provided. My son received an email describing repairs recommended along with digital photos of areas of concern. Technician took the time to speak to us on the phone and showed us all issues when we arrived at the garage. Quick, friendly, reliable service. Definitely not something I can say of most automotive shops in the area.

I love DOC Auto! I first chose them because of their convenient location to my home, but I keep coming back because I feel really comfortable with the people and I trust the work they do. Everyone is so friendly and all work is explained so I can understand it. There probably cheaper places you could go, but DOC Autos prices are reasonable and Id rather not go to some shady shop where I had no confidence that my repairs were done correctly and with good parts. My life and my kids lives are riding on the professional, quality service I get at DOC Auto.

DOC Auto has a comfortable lobby, friendly staff, and excellent customer service. Weve used them for almost three years, and have been pleased with their work. They tend to encourage extra services, even when weve only mentioned we want one thing fixed. I had to get a tire replaced and wanted the state inspection done; they reported that another tire was bald and wouldnt pass the inspection, and if they were to replace two tires they wanted to add a wheel alignment. The alignment ($110) cost more than average (about $75). That being said, they are understanding when I dont want extra services. I appreciate their attention to service, but wish their prices werent as high.

I went her to get my state inspection done. They charged the standard fee and still went above and beyond what Ive come to expect from most car service shops. They topped off my washer fluid and vacuumed out my car free of charge. I walked in and, although they were busy, got to my car soon and got me back on the road. I really appreciate the good service these guys do. This is going to be my go to shop here in Fredericksburg.

I was having unknown problems with my car. They told me it would be 1300$. I went to a different auto shop and got it fixed for 250$.They will take advantage of you. Here is why:1. I went to this auto shop because it had great reviews. How wrong I was. I fully suspect them of having fake reviews.2. They wont explain the individual prices, only the final total price. That way they can hide hidden fees.3. I have a 2005 car. They were trying to sell me on the most expensive pieces of equipment for my car, along with lifetime warranty. Any auto shop trying to put the most luxurious parts on an old car is simply trying to steal your money.4. Everyone was very nice and friendly, but it doesnt mean they are sincere about it. It isnt sincere kindness, just pure greed.5. When I talked with one of the CEOs, the reason he said everything was so expensive was because he really cares about his services. If he really cared about his services, he wouldnt have tried selling me over priced parts for an old car.6. The loner car they advertise is just a simple way for them to justify the over pricing tactics that they do. They are a business in and out and are not there to help you out. Pure greed.I have never made a post on google reviews in my life and the outrage I feel from this auto shop has forced me to give my first review.7. They called me later in the week with a lower price after I told them I was checking out other shops. It was 998$. The best part is, the piece that was broken wasnt even the piece they wanted to fix. They were going to add on more charges once they fixed it and realized it needed more fixing!!!!8. You hear about auto shops being scummy businesses. You just found the mother of all scum.

I always hated getting my car worked on because I had never experienced the exceptional customer service of Doc Auto. I came in for a free oil change (because of an almost two year-old coupon they accepted) and was so impressed that the maintenance workers inspected my whole car for me. They were very helpful in that they gave me a report of all of my car malfunctions, in addition to sending me images of these malfunctions via cell phone. They were so kind to me, and even offered me a ride home while they had my car. The oil change was done within two hours, even though they were busy with paying customers cars. Doc Auto has my strongest recommendation, and I am very grateful for all of their service to me and my 99 Camry.

They went over it with a fine tooth comb and gave me a rundown of everything needing attention. They even prioritized it to let me know what needed immediate attention and that which could wait for the next scheduled oil change. Throughout this experience, they always made me feel at ease and made me feel like family. At check out, we found a way to save almost 15% off an already low price. Ill take my cars there as long as theyre in business.

Although my wife would love to have the minivan finally die on her once and for all, so long as we continue to have DOC doing the work, it just aint going to happen (sorry honey). Each time we have visited DOC, the price of the repair was below our expectation, the repair permanent and complete, and customer service exemplary. I recommend DOC to all my friends.

Our family has used this shop since we moved to fredericksburg in 2010. They have always been straight forward and do an honest days work. Second, they fixed my issue which was a busted CV joint boot. The new part had a hole as well (not really their fault)... Came back once I noticed and got it fixed again hassle free. I chose DOC Auto because they were near my home and also because of many positive reviews. One of the best decisions Ive made in a long time. Courteous, friendly people, great service - everything you could ask for in auto repair. I was very nervous about taking on something that my husband always did, but I have absolute confidence in the professionalism (and kindness) of the staff and owners of DOC Auto.

Doc Auto is a homegrown garage that truly deserves the opportunity to tinker on your vehicle. I put full trust in their service and have never had a bad experience in the six years I’ve been patronizing the business.

Honesty is a value that is hard to find now days. The crew at Doc Auto have this value. They are very honest. I went in for an estimate on a part/repair and they explained that my issue was more cosmetic than a necessary fix. The cost for the part I needed was more than I could afford right now, but they reassured me that the part I needed did not affect my vehicle at all; therefore, there is no hurry to get it fixed. It also did not affect performance in any way. I do know this, when I need mechanical care for my vehicles, I will definitely be coming back to Doc Auto for service. Thanks Guys!

I would highly recommend Doc Auto to anyone looking for great service. I recently had my Chevrolet Avalanche serviced and repaired. The service was excellent and I was able to get my truck back within one day.To top it off, the front desk clerk Taylor was beautiful, sweet and kind. I now live in the Richmond area, but I personally think that it would be worth the drive to Fredericksburg to be guaranteed this great service.

I wouldn’t recommend this place to my worst enemy! The only thing they do that somewhat decent is give you a FREE loaner vehicle, which that wasn’t even done correctly. The first one I had got the inspection was done 3/2019, so I only had a couple days. I had hit a pothole on 3/25, had my car towed by 3/26 to their shop by 1pm. I had called ahead of time to see how much it costs to see what was wrong with my vehicle. (It was making a god awful noise when driving near the right rear) Rachel assured me it was free and they would have it looked at and a quote that evening, mind you this is still 3/26 FRIDAY! Friday evening comes and they finally call me and tell me they have been busy and haven’t had a chance to look at it but think it’s the wheel bearing and brake, shouldn’t be more than $200-400, but wouldn’t know for sure until actually looking. Mechanic said he would look first thing in the morning, I picked up a different loaner due to the inspection sticker on Saturday. Monday, I finally got a call around 5:00pm saying that it was the backing plate, brake drum, brake shoe, brake hardware and brake self adjuster and first thing in the morning would take fix it and it was going to be $996.59 for just ONE side, granted the left had nothing wrong, but I’m smart enough to know these things are done are come as a pair. I asked for the price for both sides and he said $65 more, so now we are at $1,061.46 Tuesday afternoon I get a call saying a part was missing and it won’t be done, but it will be done by NOON on WEDNESDAY! Wednesday arrives and I haven’t heard anything by 1:45pm, so I call and they tell me it’s just now going up on the lift. I drove past this shop around 2:15-2:30 and it was just then being lifted up and they were standing around with their thumbs up theirs butt, working hard or hardly working. So, I call around 4:45 because again I haven’t heard anything and they tell me, “We had it all done, but while we were in there we noticed your car has a leak.” Victoria started it was the “brake drum.” The brake drum doesn’t leak, honey. The only thing that could of been leaking would be my cylinder, which I wouldn’t totally understand. That’s funny, my car didn’t leak before I brought it here, didn’t leak when you supposedly looked at it on Saturday, you didn’t call and say anything on Wednesday. Now they tell me that they are ordering a new part and it will be in first thing Thursday morning and will be definitely be done Thursday, but they won’t charge for the extra part since they didn’t catch it the first time. If you want to drive around in a businesses vehicle with their logo plastered on the back windshield, want to wait around for days for a call on what’s going on with your vehicle, be my guest and go here.

I just started a new job in Fredericksburg and as luck would have it, I started having car troubles on my 3rd day. A coworker suggested DOC Auto and I was extremely impressed with my service. The staff was friendly, personable, and they took great care to make sure I understood exactly what the problem was- I even got the inside of my car vacuumed! I would highly recommend DOC to anyone, especially young ladies like myself who have minimal car knowledge- the employees are trustworthy and they definitely know their stuff.

We have old cars. We have no car payments. This is only a wise choice if you can keep your repair bills below the cost of a car payment. DOC auto helps us immensely with this! We see them fairly frequently (Eun recognizes my voice on the phone), and enjoy the playfulness and happy environment. They are fairly priced, never suggesting work that doesnt need to be done. They arent offended if my husband chooses to do some of the work himself, using them to diagnose problems for him. In fact, they ask how it went or are willing to help if theres a bolt that broke off (or is about to). Who could ask for more? Great shop! Great guys!

I am very impressed with this garage. I called DocAuto about scheduling an oil change next week and was offered a free shuttle ride home! That is service! The woman on the phone was so polite and addressed all my concerns. When I told my neighbor I was going to try this garage out she said she goes there too and loves it.

If you like paying 25-35% higher prices than a dealership, then take your car here. This place will suck in on their clever marketing schemes and customer service and then completely over charge you on work. They will also tell you stuff needs to be fixed even though they don’t really know if it’s broken or not. Do NOT take you vehicle here unless you don’t care about spending extra money. After I realized they overcharged me for work, I asked if they would just match what the dealership quoted me and they refused to do so.

I had a 1991 Lincoln Town car that had a dead battery and had been neglected for too long so had it towed to DOC Auto for an overhaul. They really took good care of her inside and out and with great results! Everyone was professional and friendly throughout the time needed for the repairs and all work done which was no small amount. When I drove up to pick up my car, I almost did not recognize it. It was reborn. I would recommend Doc Auto to anyone and dont worry if you arent mechanical at all, because they are patient and will explain anything you need, and their rates are reasonable. Im new to Fredericksburg and needed to get a tire patched. I dont know anyone yet much less an auto repair place. Doc Auto was recommended on the Next door Website. They were awesome! Got my repair done in time for me to make it to work, did a great job, Tiffany at the front desk was wonderful. So glad to find a good, reliable auto repair shop and its close to my new home. Yay!😊

The best service Ive had, a friendly place with honest mechanics. They helped diagnose an issue with my car that I couldnt. They got it fixed within a few days and constantly kept me updated about the diagnostics, required fixes & cost. I will definitely be brining my car back for service and/or any issues I have!

I was completely surprised at how well I was treated by Dave and his staff. I had made an appointment for my Audi, I walked in and my loaner car was ready to go. I answered a few questions and off I went. When I returned my car was ready and was treated like a friend not a customer.

My husband and I have been taking our cars to Doc Auto for years. We have always been extremely pleased with their service. There have been very few times when they have had to keep our car for more than one day. When they did though they were able to offer us a loaner car at no charge. That is huge bonus when trying to figure out work schedules. When the engine on my car died a few years back Mike took the time to answer my questions about everything that helped me make a better decision on whether to fix it or buy a new vehicle. I ended up fixing it and was glad I did! These guys are honest and fair. Very happy to have them in our neighborhood!

Dave and Eun explain everything about the proposed work of my car in detail, providing protective maintenance at reasonable prices while offering complete HONESTY and terrific HUMOR. September 9 I was going to CVS in Falmouth when another driver forced me into the curb. My tire blew out so I pulled into DOC Auto for help putting on the spare. They changed my tire and checked the rim. Then refused any payment!! These folks rock!! Thank you all so much!
