First of all, Dano is very responsive, and for the most part they offer terrific pricing on spear gear. I have bought quite a bit from MAKO, and have usually been very satisfied. The only reason I am giving 3 stars is that 2 years ago I went spearfishing in the Bahamas and bought 2 full polespear setups from MAKO for me and my son. I paid for the slip-tips because we get some good-sized fish over there. To be honest, I paid for the cheaper slip-tips that they offered.But these slip tips absolutely did not work. They would not disengage from the receiver because of a design flaw, and we lost a lot of good fish since they tips stayed stuck on the receiver.So I got in touch with Dan, and he was very quick to respond, which I appreciated. I told him of the problem, and suggested some changes based on other slip-tips I had seen. He appreciated the input and I said I wanted to buy his new version - or the more expensive slip-tips he offers. He kindly offered to give me credit towards new slip-tips of the value of the old (non-working) tips. I thought that was AWESOME and really professional.Never heard a word back.....

I haven’t purchased yet but I will soon once I figure out exactly want I want/need, the guys there were amazing knowledgeable and just all around great guys. Josh is awesome, the owner should be proud to have the crew he has because they are amazing

First time buyer from Mako. Bought a pair of freediver II fins with socks (went with a size smaller then what’s on the size chart for socks) for some fish action in Okinawa, Japan. Order was processed and in the mail the next business day; received a week later overseas. Gear fits great! Will definitely order more gear in the future.

Bought Oceanic 110 cm ETR speargun from Mako Spearguns earlier this year and am pleased with the quality and design of the gun. Have experience with other expensive name brand guns, but feel this gun is superior in function. When I called regarding a question regarding the gun, the customer service was excellent. Highly recommend this speargun and company.
