I had three tasks, repair dishwasher, install NEST Thermostat and repair kitchen outlet.My original appointment was in a week and i got a call about an opening and asked if I wanted the work completed earlier. Heck Yes I said. Additionally, he showed up 30 mins earlier than i was told which I loved. Extremely professional and very thorough, he talked me through everything that he was doing so there was no surprises. Loved his work and will def call Mr. Handyman again. Great price too!!

It was a great experience. I had previously hired 2 different people to build sturdy handrails on our garage steps without success. The first time my husband who has MS leaned against the rail and it broke. the second time the person made the handrails so wide that they were impossible to grasp and they were not steady. William, an employee of Mr. Handyman of Fredericksburg came and built 2 perfect handrails. He listened to what was needed and had great ideas on how to make the rails safe and usable. My husband recently had chemo and uses a walker and I am with him when he uses the stairs but I am no longer afraid the rails will break and both of us ends up on the concrete floor. I highly recommend this company and have hired them to do my deck. Thank you William, you have given us one less worry.

This company might be the worst ever with communication. I called last week and left a voicemail inquiring about work. Haven’t received a call back. This happened to me once before with them as well. Don’t waste your time.

Great experience. They repaired a hole in our basement wall that had major water damage. They quickly responded and had two repairmen out to fix it within a couple days. They gave us a military discount and the estimate was substantial lower than expected and after they finished ahead of schedule the final total was even lower. Everyone from the repairmen to the office staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. We will definitely continue to use Mr. Handyman Fredericksburg.

Have used Handyman of Fredericksburg for many jobs. They built my deck, installed 2 outside doors and some minor roof repairs. I like their team of technicians. Feel comfortable when they are onsite. Never questionable repairs.

Mike did a great job fixing the hole in the ceiling. He was great to work with and even managed to finish slightly under the top quoted time!

William did an awesome job building custom shelving and material corrals in my shop area. He provided a design that utilized my space well and provided maximum safety.

Read the fine print. Long story short, they charge for time (including shopping time at home depot, which is fair), materials, and... a mark up on the materials. That last part is in the fine print so I only have myself to blame for not catching it. That said, Ive worked construction in the past and that is a very unusual and unethical practice. They installed a $70 light and a $15 access panel. They also needed about couple feet of drywall tape/mud, and a 1x1 square of sheetrock. Total material cost... well under $100. They charged me $245.90. You will 100% pay more than you are expecting to. Im a landlord that learned my lesson and will use a more ethical company in the future.Update: They just charged my credit card for $607. You just have to laugh at experiences like this. What goes around comes around.

Workmanship on my deck was OK, but the quote significantly underestimated the time it took to complete the work. And since most of the cost is labor, that was a significant difference. Also, one technician was sent out for what was probably a two-man job.

Mr. Handyman performed two repairs during our home sale. The second repair was days before closing on our home sale. They responded quickly and professionally. A veteran friendly organization. Top notch!

Andy Little was very helpful in getting the work that I needed to have done scheduled. The technician Mike did an excellent job painting the shutters, front door, bay window and all the trim on the front of our town house. The shutters are on the third floor so I was concerned that would be a hard job to accomplish but Mike was able to get the job done. The price was fair and the work was done quickly. I would definitely recommend them and I will be calling them again to do work around my house.

I can only speak to the estimate. I started home from work to get an estimate on done work I needed done. I was told the estimate would be ready within a few days... No one followed up. Two stars because the people I talked to were nice.

Al, the owner, is professional and friendly. I just had a major job finished since my deck had come loose from my house. It was a three-day job and was done in a timely and professional manner primarily by William.I am no longer capable of doing jobs on my own and feel comfortable turning my, To-Do list over to them ! Ive used Mr Handyman twice now. Once to replace a slider door and again to install a safety rail. Both times were fantastic, work was completed on time and definitely met my expectations. Will use them again for sure.

Had 4 curtain rods, 1 picture, 1 large clock, 1 white board and 2 photo clips hung. It took 2.5 hours - unreasonably long!! $346 (including a military discount) is ridiculous. I will not hire again.

Contacted Mr Handyman for a quote. Customer service rep emailed me stating he had to speak to one of their techs to determine best option. I emailed back stating exactly what I was looking for, which was the cheaper option. Never heard back from them. Thats horrible customer service. I feel like they purposely decided not to make secondary contact simply because the job I needed done simply wasnt worth it to them. Ill gladly spend my money elsewhere.

My experience with this company was awful. My TV was Hung on the wall with all the plugs showing even though I had the plugs installed high on the wall in my new home so the plugs would not show when the TV was hung. Had to asked the handyman to do it correctly. He did but was very upset that I wanted it done right. Unprofessional, time wasting technique, and shabby workmanship. Never again!!!!!
