Nothing beats the experience of going to a Guitar Center. There is a wide selection of gear that you can try before buying. I got a pair of Headphones, a Guitar and an Amp, super satisfied with all. The guys that work there know their stuff and truly care about what they are selling.

Friendly and helpful. My kiddo is the musician but they helped me pick things out for her even though I knew nothing. Very welcoming.

I purchased Fender Ukulele. The 2 salespeople I encountered in the Culpepper store were very pleasant and professional. I am a musician who also buys instruments from Guitar Center in my hometown so I knew what to expect service wise and wasn’t disappointed. I plan to return soon.

I’ve been to several Guitar Centers around the US and this location is a good one. Great selection of new and acoustic guitars, and various electronics. The staff was friendly and helpful. It is conveniently located on the outskirts of a huge mall and close to dozens of other local shopping venues. I highly recommend this Guitar Center to anyone passing through this area.

We absolutely love the team at Guitar Center. They are always extremely helpful. The only reason for the four stars is because sometimes they get backed up and it takes them a while to complete a transaction.

Went to get an item advertised and they had it. Used a discount code in email for $20 off. Nice selection of guitars. The DJ equipment was on the lower end of quality and I did not see anything to look at. Headphones were all inexpensive and there was no authentic turntable. Quick transaction, the employee was really trying to sell the protection plan, We wondered if he got commission on it.

I never post reviews. However this is the last time I will ever go to ANY Guitar Center location. The employees are anything but helpful. Not one in particular... multiple time I’ve had terrible service. Sam Ash in Richmond will get all of my business from now on. It’s worth the drive not to have to deal with such terrible service, not to mention the lack of products to work with. Do yourself a favor and go to Sam Ash. I just wish I hadn’t given Guitar Center as much money as I have before now. They will not get another cent from me.

I purchased a used 2015 Gibson Les Paul Double Cut P90 that was advertised on their website. Every member of the staff went out of their way to make sure all my questions were answered, took some extra pictures of the guitar for my inspection, had the tech verify that the truss rod was working properly, and even threw in a set of DAddario NXYL strings for me. I would like to thank Tag, Johnny T, Austin, and Steve for going above and beyond. The guitar was well packed in a brand new shipping box and the case was surrounded with packing pillows as it arrived safe from UPS. After waiting a day to open it up from a January shipment to the northeast, I tuned it up a few times to let the strings settle in and made some pickup height adjustments. The guitar stays in tune, plays like butter, and sounds incredible! Thank you Guitar Center Of Fredericksburg VA!

Booked an appointment to speak with one of their technicians about having my guitar action adjusted. I was told that the tech would call me but he never did. I was also told that it would take a week to adjust the guitar and $68.00 dollars to turn a screw inside the neck about a quarter inch. Completely overpriced and poor customer service.

This is the closest GC location to me so it’s the one I usually go to, which isn’t often. Not a lot of inventory compared to other guitar centers and some of the employees are like a weird combination of music theory worshiping prog nerds and early 2010s metalcore kids who cry when they hear a guitar is slightly out of tune. However, some of the employees are extremely nice and helpful. A few years ago I purchased a used half stack from this location and still use it to this day, has survived many rehearsals and gigs just fine. Haven’t really bought anything recently mainly due to lack of inventory. Not really worth the drive if you’re not local. You’d be better off with mom and pop and pawn shops.

I stopped in today to look at an acoustic guitar for an adult relative that is just starting to want to play. I know nothing about guitars. The sales person, I think Pez, was very good at explaining the differences in the various guitars and played them so I could hear how they sounded. Once I decided on one, we picked out a gig case, some picks, and I also purchased three years of insurance. I believe I got a good deal. The staff was very helpful and explained the features of the guitars in words that I understood. I recommend this store and would purchase there again in the future.

For music lovers absolutely the best place, theres a whole mess of music and instrumental sound and activity going on but whatever it is I dont know because theres not really any way to find out...Theres no literature or any spokesman for all this eye candy, I do wish they were more community related and be the first to reach out there hand to the small local music business of the greater Fredericksburg area and shake it. Otherwise once we were help when I was ready to check out there warranty offer wasnt half bad, but still.. I cant get past my desire to see G.C. interaction with local Fredericksburg music.Sorry Ill try sticking to facts and not so much my personal opinion in future reviews...with that being saidI give Guitar Center a bitter sweet sigh 😕.

Those guys are the best .looking to play the bass.they took time to help me through the process is getting my 1st one .knew all the options on paying over time .told me all about the bass,what to look for and expect .really thorough and cool fellas here in Fredericksburg.Ill be back for sure

Awesome employees, I only came in to get strings for my guitar and my wife to see their pianos. They took to the time to make sure I was getting the right strings that worked for me, and made suggestions for my wife to get the right piano. Did not get the piano yet, but its what she has been looking for (precise weighted keys and tone to fit that of a full size stringed piano) the staff was knowledgeable and worked well to meet our needs and level of humor. Will be visiting many times in the future.

I have 5 Guitar Centers closer to me than this location but Id drive the extra miles just for the great customer service here. Thanks to Ryan and staff for your help.

One of the better guitar centers although I only shop it if I need something in a pinch. Majority of boutique and high end gear I use as a guitarist they don’t carry. This isn’t the case for everyone however and the options in the area are slim for quality music stores.

I had to get one of my guitars repaired and this was an excellent place to get it done at. I definitely recommend this Guitar Center for any work that needs to get done on any acoustic guitars. I had to have all my machine heads replaced with all of the holes routed with a violin router because of the type of guitar. I was told a week and it was done quicker and very well done. I will bring any other repairs to this shop. The price was reasonable as well. Very professional.

Anything you need for your musical instrument (not just guitars) you can find here! My significant other shops here for his guitar needs, & yesterday we perused beautiful guitar straps, some leather, some woven tapestry. He purchased for me a cute drink cozy with a guitar design. There are many such small gifts (stocking stuffers!) to choose from. Often there is at least one person trying out a guitar & yesterday there was a guy in the drum room as I call it, trying out a set on display. Guitar Center has everything--from guitars picks, to strings, to self-help books, etc. There are also keyboards & I noticed childrens beginning books for learning piano & other instruments. There were at least 3 staff members there to assist customers.

I met the manager, Steve. I felt like I made a new friend, and one that knows more about guitars than anyone I ever met. He understands all aspects of the Guitar Industry: As an Art Form, Appraisals, How to Play, Craftsmanship, Collecting, Selling, Repair, Manufacturing... Hes my guitar guru now, and I trust him implicitly. Ill go to him if I want to buy or sell any instrument or amp.

Unfortunately guitar center is no longer what it once was. This is no longer the place for excellent gear, service, or even knowledge. It has become the Walmart of musical instruments. As a former employee even, I do not recommend it to any level of player, beginner or seasoned vet.

Quick in and out trip for a gift card.

Went here to buy my first bass. Because of traffic we ended up showing up 20 minutes before they closed, but no matter, the staff still did theyre best to help me find what i was looking for. They also helped me get a coupon through email to lower my overall price. While helping me i heard other associates dealing with an argumentative customer, but they handled it with grace. Clay and Will provided exceptional advice and help. Overall very satisfied with the service provided.

Thanks staff were amazing! Very knowledgeable, discussed the different instruments with me and replacement parts (strings) I would need for my sons new ukulele. Was referred to them for their lower prices but didnt see much in the I dont know if my son will honestly still be doing this in a few months range, but as I said, the staff were amazing and I left feeling good in what I got versus what they had.

One of the most customer-satisfaction driven establishments Ive ever visited.Everytime I go to get strings or gear, whoever it is who helps me is professional, kind, and helpful -- but best of all, they all always have such a genuine passion for music.This most recent visit I was even given a few brands (guitars) to check up on based on our conversation. The store doesnt sell these particular instruments, so I know the referrals were genuine.Ive always felt accepted and like I belonged whenever I visit this store. The people here are there to help, even if all you want is to test out something new!As a customer, I couldnt ask for more!

A decent guitar center

Went to buy my daughter her first guitar and really didnt know what I was looking for. Luckily, I had Ryan Adams help me and this guy knows his stuff. He was professional and very helpful. Even gave me his card and said if my daughter had any problems setting it up to call. Their customer service was outstanding. Cant recommend these guys enough.

Its a great place to go if youre a beginner or a professional Musician this the place to go to full fill your needs.

I like the fact that stock is much better than previous years. Customer service hasnt changed much, but you can also find the used gear more easily, and its also easier to try out guitars and basses with the ready cables and accessible amps. You wont save any money here but you can certainly shop well.

Guitar Center is my go-to place for music gear. These guys know their stuff and you cant beat playing an instrument before you buy it. The prices are competitive and they can often match a competitors price... or come close enough where it doesnt make sense to order from some stranger online. Pro Tip: When you buy a guitar from them, pay to have their technician do a set-up on it. Its definitely worth it!

My husband would live in here if he could. Its attached to the mall so if you need to do shopping drop off the musicians in the family and theyll be content until you have walked the entire mall. Twice. Lol. Theres a sound room where the customers can jam out before buying that much wanted music equipment..

Been to many in my life, this was the first time I went with true intentions of buying an instrument. Sadly, not a single sales person paid any mind to me. They were too busy talking behind the front counter, or nowhere to be found. Otherwise the normal GC environment and experience.

The staff was incredibly helpful when I bought my first guitar. They were patient with me while I was trying out several different ones and answered all my questions. I bought used amp from there and the switch broke in less than a day but they took it back without any problems.

Do not get repair work done here! Took my guitar in to get re-wired figured I’d have them restring it and set it up/ intonated. Guitar came back with strings buzzing all over the fret board and the high e was dead. Take it to someone that cares about the work they do or do your research and do it yourself.

Its ok. Being more on audio side than musician side, the place lacks interest for me. Having said that, i point others there as a local place to touch amd feel. Staff has always been good.

This was once a good store but now they got rid of the experience and hired a bunch of no nothing low energy kids. They act like they are paid commission so they try to sell equipment you dont need and when you ask them a question about that equipment they cant answer. One of the employees treats the customers with no respect. I was there 3 weeks ago and observed how he treated an older guitar player. The older gentleman just laughed. The punk employee didnt realize who that guy was. I did. Pretty sure he will provide a negative endorsement.
