John Hunter is fantastic; his service and professionalism was outstanding! He went above and beyond to take care of me. I forgot my hitch; instead of having me drive an hour round trip to get it or pay $18 for a new one, he took care of his fellow Marine! Thank you my friend!!

Technican John really helped me out returning my vehicle today. He walked over the vehicle before returning, witch is always nice. No surprises on the back end. This location overall is the most impressive uhaul dealer I have ever seen. They operate better than most service companies. I will be returning to rent and encourage everyone to do the same.

Scheduled a one way truck a month out. When I called to upgrade the size of the truck 2 weeks out I was told that not only couldnt they guarantee that the 20 would be at the location I requested but the 16 truck probably wasnt going to have been there either. How far do I have to drive to get the truck? They cant tell me that either until 2 days before the rental. Conveniently too late to schedule a different truck from another company. This will b my last uhaul move.

I was in the lot having issues with using the app to check the truck back in early about a week ago and John saw me and came over, took the keys from me, and took care of everything. He was so nice and I was able to quickly be on my way

James and John were extremely helpful with there extraordinary services! James was able to locate and resolve an issue with the wiring harness in my jeep before I left the lot on his on accord!

Just got a hitch installed on my truck. The staff here was timely and friendly with every customer while I was waiting. James did an outstanding job installing my hitch and detailed everything he was doing in order to ensure it was installed properly. I had a hitch installed at the chantilly location for a cross country move then had to drive an hour and a half out of the way to pick up the trailer. When I got there the lights weren’t working so I called Uhaul customer service who told me to go to the closest service center in Fredericksburg. Turned out the people I chantilly didn’t install the hitch properly and the guy that works on hitches had already gone home for the day in Fredericksburg. The manager kept the store open late, Mike was doing his best to try figure out what was wrong and and James came in on his day off just to help me out. Couldn’t be more thankful for the amazing people working at this store. Had it not been for them I wouldn’t have been able to make it to my destination on time. Y’all are awesome and set the gold standard for how people should be treated. Thank you

Three thumbs up! A different uhaul place installed my trailer hitch and wiring imperfectly. A 2 year warranty was in place, thankfully. No other uhaul place I contacted around Colonial Beach and Fredericksburg was willing to take a look at it, but when I explained the problem here they looked at it, corrected the shortcomings and explained what they did. They had great customer service, and for future uhaul needs Im going there first.

Highly recommend this location!! Before I even got out of my car I was greeted by Quincy who was very friendly and Jeanine was extremely helpful in booking a UHaul reservation for me. Not the kind of customer service you’d expect at a truck/trailer rental place, but it was much appreciated!!

My 26ft brand new (I was told) U-Haul truck leaked when it rained. Also, I was in this store at least 5 times buying moving supplies for a long distance move. Not one person told me I needed tie down straps for the truck I was having professionally loaded. I think this is something I should have been told I needed. Just my opinion.

So many great things to say about this U--Haul Center in Fredericksburg, Virginia. Convenient location off of I-95. A very clean facility. Easy and quick truck rental. Incredible service with each and every person on staff who are friendly and willing to do whatever it takes to accommodate hauling and storage needs. A simply PHENOMENAL U-Haul operation! TL/DR Great hitch and brake control installation for towing a travel trailer.Its rare in a service industry to find a technician who is enthusiastic about coming to work each day, but I got that sense from the fellow who installed our hitch and brake.I was waiting to review until after our first successful trip over Labor Day Weekend.everything checked out, so he did the job right, did it on time, and raved about the opportunity to do it.

Didn’t tell us we needed a 4 way plug for a trailer til we got there. Then proceeded to tell us to pay for one and that they didn’t have one to rent/borrow.

GREAT service from Edward! I had alot of pretty basic questions about how trailer brake controllers work that the Ford dealer couldnt answer. They wanted an outrageous amount of money to install a wired brake controller. I fortunately called this UHaul location and found out that a Bluetooth brake controller will do everything I need it to, and yes the brakes still work even if you turn your phone off LOL. It has a 3 way sensor on board, plugs into your trucks 7 pin, and the trailer plugs into the controller. Your phone is just there to test the brakes and set up the initial parameters. Edward saved me almost a thousand dollars! Thank you!

Moises is the best propane filling representative out there. He did his due diligence, detected a leak and gave us a temporary option to even fix it until Monday morning. Friendly and grateful people

These kids working in the Hitch Install department cant really do anything, they wouldnt even remove an old class 1 hitch to install a Class 3 hitch. These kids are too clean and know nothing about cutoff wheels or using torches. They dont even have the equipment. They knew I had an old hitch to remove well ahead of time and said it wouldnt be a problem. Turns out these kids just dont know anything about Man work. I just ended up doing it all myself.Never Again

Reserved a truck a week in advance only to get called the day before my move with the news that they didn’t have a truck for me, no more Uhaul for me.

Amazing customer service. I stopped in on an emergency while driving cross country. My trailer wiring harness (installed in New Mexico) came loose and destroyed itself. These guys got me in within 10 minutes and did a bang up job. Not a single issue with getting it fully covered under the warranty. They even hooked up my trailer when they were done with the work. Wish I needed something from the store, just to buy your say that kind you. Simply fantastic.

Can never give much of a positive review, for the mere fact that its so hard to figure out how much a rental will ACTUALLY cost after all the fees. The online services dont help much either. The staff was good, but their systems were down and there was quite the wait!

Please, guys go to another u-Haul Store, because they offering so cheap. Fredericksburg U-haul are charging $85.35 for 30 miles. Too expensive! Woodbridge so cheaper.

EXPENSIVE... Shop around- budget, Ryder, before you decide to go with this. Mileage rate is crazy and they try to tack on random extra charges- review your contract thoroughly before paying. Cost me $75 to have a Van for 1 day to drive 65 miles- plus $25 gas to refill, $100 expense.

Most people dont realize a lot of the time when they call they get an off site person answering the phone. This person will say they are management and may make promises that no one at the actual U-Haul location know anything about. I routinely go to the Plank Road store and rent trailers. The Manager is outstanding, he cares about how you are treated and the equipment is in great shape. The staff that work there are also top notch. If you read most of the negative reviews, it is all based on phone conversations, these are people the company established to answer the phones when they are busy and the Plank Road people have no control over. I have been in the store enough times and observed the staff & manager dealing with the mess the off-site people have caused. Do what I do reserve on line and deal directly with Plank Road people.

Gteat place,put a hitch on my chevy 1500 for around 250 with light hookups and lifetime warranty on everything,even used a proper tourqe wrench to tighten the hitch bolts to the frame.I looked underneath when they where done,all nice grade eight hardware, will never rust,they where very careful with my truck and took there time installing.Very happy will be back

This place has awesome people,starting from the manager to the staffs.I needed a storage for 19 palletized freight,they did stored the freight for me for a week and when i returned their,the manager helped me loading the freight to the trailer,i could not ask for anything more than thanking her for what she did,what a character,she did not mind helping me at all.They are truely nice people and i would recommend anybody their.

Went to the Establishment on time for my reservation to rent a car dolly .turn out they dont even have it in stock, the one they were going rented to me .I had to fill out paperwork on another car dolly and waited for another 20 mins and still couldnt get it right. Total time to 1hour and 30 minutes. And still no car dolly.... What a joke... a bunch of clowns. They messed up the paperwork. I did my part, By show up on time and having cash in hand.I dont have time wait on someone elses screw up. I dont get paid by the hour to wait in line for something i already had a reservation for .They need to learn to train their employees right I will never go to a U-Haul. I was not the only customer having problems. a another woman was just buying boxes and that took 45 mins to buy boxes right at the checkout counter. A joke.

The woman I spoke with was very condescending while telling me they didnt have what I wanted. Telling me that procrastination is not recommended when Im considering whether to do business with them is simply rude. I dont do business with people who treat me that way and will not be calling back.

Let me preface my following comments by saying Drew and his team at Manassas Park did a great job installing my trailer hitch.That said this was a horrible experience and I will never use U Haul again.I originally scheduled my appointment for the U Haul office on Plank Road in Fredericksburg Va. However when i looked at the contract the install was scheduled for the Manassas Park location. This office is 39 miles from my work and 30 miles from my home.I called on the day before the install to verify that the Plank road location was doing the install and was told that i was correct and they would see me at 2:PM the following day.At 7:AM i got a text from Jonathan Pena that my appointment was now at 11:30 AM vice the agreed upon 2:PM. The text included a number and I called Jonathan. He was rude and condescending and when I asked why my appointment was moved without consulting me first answered I am not doing installations after 2:pm today.I tried calling the Plank Road U haul location to find out who was this persons boss. I waited for 33 minutes on hold before i finally hung up in disgust.U haul customer service was terrible and once they got my deposit I was ignored or told to drive 39 miles to a location I had to find vice the 6 miles from my home.I am posting my review on Google and Angies List.This was painful and it is unacceptable.Never Again

Awful experience. they did a hitch and trailer wiring, messed something up in my truck(shift lock didnt work after install), and they said they arent responsible if thy did break something. they told me that i was responsible for getting the problem checked and proving that they broke it, otherwise it was totally my problem, and they were not liable at all. The next morning, after i figured out the problem that they apparently couldnt, the manager answers the phone and was nasty and rude to me on the phone not answering my questions, but beating around the bush telling me what the tech shouldnt have done and whatever. it was completely ridiculous. also was quoted 2-2.5 hours, and was there for 5....
