Awesome store a wide selection of items to choose from good prices. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I recommend you stop by and take a look.
Very expensive for a used store. $700 for a couch with a hole in the arm is ridiculous. They will not haggle on any prices.
Visited there for first time. A lot good stuffs. One little problem, the pricing little to high. Otherwise it was good place to look around, like couch, dresser, etc.
You never know what you might find here from bric-a-brac to furniture, to tools, ect. I have purchased several interesting pieces here.
If this place is for folks who are struggling and cannot afford certain luxuries, why are some things so I we priced? Baby blanket $100.00? Too many items priced as if new. Sad, if someone doesnt have the money, they walk out without it.
Love this place. They always have a steal.
Just went here today and it had lots of great finds. My daughter ended up finding a set of boxes with wheels that she fell in love with. Great friendly staff..will definitely come back soon...
This is by far the most overpriced Restore I have ever been in. I admit they have some nice things but you could get brand new for the same price or less.As an aside they should have a rest room for shoppers but, of course, they do not.
My first trip to a Restore was this location this week. I wont be back. Truly outrageous prices on items here. A bag of abut 10 small jet plane figures - $50, framed art from $100 saw plenty $350 on up, theyll even try and sell you the painting from someones paint night with friends at the bar - thats the cheapest thing in the store at $5 - palm trees with a smiley face sunshine - really people? A set of used cheap particle Ikea style drawers beat up with scratches and missing handles - starting price $179.Estate sales are really popular in this area too and I saw items at this store that I got at an expensive estate sale for 60% less. Its a great spot for furniture for people who probably normally arent the type to actually go to a thrift store. There are definitely some clean pretty pieces here. I could understand the price on those. But broken vintage lamps for $150 and up? Yeah, yeah, yeah, almost every single thrift store is for charity. Theyd raise a lot more money if they were able to do more volume. The amount of framed art there is astounding, it must sit and sit. DVDs are something like $5 and up each. Theyre $1-$2 at Salvation Army and the bookcase is full looks untouched.I was told that they look everything up before pricing it. It looks like these people dont actually know how to look-up pricing. You have to filter for sold and completed which tells you not what someone posted it for, but what it finally sold for and about how long it took to sell. When you sell online you have an entire universe of people who can see the item or perhaps get matched with the item they were looking for through search terms. Even with that, people sit on things for years. When you have a pile of stuff in a store that has a limited radius of people coming in = less of a pool of people likely to be interested in that item and less physical space to store it to wait and see. These thrift stores that refer to eBay pricing dont understand e-commerce. If Restore wants to get eBay pricing for everything - go ahead and do what Goodwill does and put it up for auction or sale on your website. In the end I bought a vintage cookie jar to gift to a friend who just had a baby. It was marked for $25 I was able to negotiate to $20. I looked it up on eBay. Theres about 20 of them already posted - aka saturated market. And in the past 60 days several of them sold online for $10. Meanwhile one of the people cashing me out said oh this is a collectors item. Not who it was mass produced and theres a plethora of them available at any given time online. You have to love the irony though of items being marked sells on eBay for X! - while they have it priced for slightly less than X and it has a discounted sign on it for another 20% off. I wonder why?Anyway, I buy second hand for pretty much everything I need because Im environmental and because I normally cant afford retail. No need to go back here theres so many other great places to get affordable items from.
Decent selection of items but a new trend is emerging with thrift stores where they charge nearly full retail pricefor used items.
Found items I wasnt even looking for! Great place for new ideas.
I used to really enjoy shopping here, but I think they’re under new management and the experience is not the same. It used to be a price was quoted, a sales slip provided and an offer made to have your item brought to your car. Today I asked for pricing on a rug and was quoted $250, but found a sign that said the price was $125. Instead of honoring the posted price they took the sign down. My last trip to what was my favorite place to shop.
Large store with a significant selection of both used furniture and reclaimed / floor model construction materials at fair (not cheap) prices. Construction merch seems to change faster than the home decor. Last visit, I think they had a ton of like-new floor models from the major box retailers, which was great. It’s the best ReStore in Central Jersey for sure to visit every few weeks. They could be more selective with the sofas (some were gross) and home decor (avoid donating your yard sale to their store). It would be better if there was less stuff to sort though, but I think I’m alone in that thought - people like to hunt at thrift stores? Be prepared to spend some time and it’s worth it!
This is such a good find! Plus your helping finance work by the charity. I prefer this Freehold location, there are others. You have look/visit a lot to get bargains on REAL furniture from donations and estate sales. There is the cheap stuff too. You need to know what your doing. I got a solid mahogany diningroom pedestal table with 4 chairs for $300!!! Also later on found a mahogany hutch with glass doors for a very good price. Neither needed any repair, some do. Check it out or one of the other locations!
Look, I have no problem with the wonderful work Habitat for Humanity does, its amazing and one of my nieces volunteered for the organization, BUT the pricing is wrong at least the two in Monmouth county are. According to the organization HQ in Georgia, they are to sell BUILDING MATERIALS that are donated at 20%less than retail. Great concept, because a 2x4 is still a 2x4. But to sell damaged, blatantly well worn dirty sofas and other upholstered furnishings, chipped dishes, and appliances that they havent the decency to wipe out for outrageous prices is downright wrong. I was told they consider their store a retail store not a thrift shop. Really??? REALLY???. I have taken this issue to the Board of Directors and will frequent Goodwill and other stores in the future and be sure to tell everyone I can about this travesty.
Lots of nice items, dont be afraid to negotiate. Employers very helpful.
Looking for something for your house, then this is definitely the place, large selection of furniture and light fixtures
Could have spent the whole day digging thru all the items. Found drawer handles and door pulls. Will be going back often.
Tons of stuff in this store! Lots of furniture, dishes and other household items. Thought the prices were a bit expensive for a thrift store, though.
I love these stores. The only downfall is there arent enough of them in this state. We always find something useful and each store continues to surprise us. The staff are very helpful and nice to boot. Highly recommend checking it out, you wont be disappointed!
If only way to look through the mountain of generic hotel art is to possibly damage said art, then your prices are too high. For a little more money I can just go to Target and get new stuff. Second hand should not cost an arm and a leg.
Good stuff good prices good people thank you
Very nice and interesting place to shop for furniture and so much more. Ill be going back again.
Great store, lots of items, organized well. Staff is very friendly, and products are nice!
Great used furniture for reasonable prices. The staff and volunteers are helpful and patient. Their markdown system is nice, as items get cheaper the longer theyre in the store. So, you may not get the trendiest chair, but you can probably find one in your price range. They maintain a list of reasonably priced local folk who will deliver your furniture. All in all, its a great value for a great cause.
Way too overpriced. Asked for the price of a sewing machine was informed it was $850. EIGHT HUNDRED AND FIFTY FOLKS.I was informed by an employee that it sells on eBay for $1000.How lovely. Why dont they sell it on eBay?These are donated items people and I could understand making a decent profit on what I will say again FREE items. But Thrift greed. That seems to be the way some of the stores are becoming.I will no longer donate to these places who INFLATE PRICES for people looking for a good deal, and I hope others take warning to do the same.
Awesome place. In the last 2 years since I discovered them I have replaced almost every furniture and area rugs that I had previously bought at high prices. Some people have addiction, mine is to Habitat for Humanity. Because I am only 5 minutes away I have the privilege to there daily.
This place has nice things.. love going here to look but honestly I never buy anything. Their prices are way too high.. they try to sell their stuff for retail. One of the used area rugs they were selling was actually cheaper at home depot brand new. They never have days With discounts like the other habitat for humanity in asbury. They discount the stuff every few weeks but not by much. They charge around $500 to $1200 for dinning room tables!!!! If Im going to spend that much I would just go to retail store and buy one brand new. They need to adjust the prices to realistic second hand store prices.
It’s a hit or miss but what’s up with the prices? Way too high for used donated items.
This place has tons of nice used furniture and building supplies, too!
Always helpful staff there, eager to be helpful and patient. Great ever changing assortment of things for your home at inexpensive prices. These are volunteers. They do their best it appears. Sometimes it is hard to find someone to help and since it is a large store, you just have to wait until they are available and done with lunch or other customers.
This particular location gets all kinds of furniture, housewares, and construction supplies at fantastic prices; a fair number of antiques and higher end items show up here as well. I like to source pretty much all of my furnishings secondhand and the vast majority come from here. Purchases also support a great cause!
Great idea, great staff and some good finds at times. The prices are a bit on the high side and similar items can be found on craigslist and online market places cheaper. However, its a great cause. I look at is as a donation.
I was disappointed. Ive been there many times and it was better. Prices were ridiculous for the merchandise. Getting help was almost impossible. A waste of my time. The Asbury store is far better.
Doing good work
Agree with other reviews- prices are ridiculously high. You could buy new instead of buying old and used. I liked a painting and the it didnt; have a price, when I asked an associated he blurted out a number and it was shocking, when I said it was too high, he lowered it by 30% but it was still too expensive. Not sure how the pricing is figured out for these items but they should make them more reasonable.
This place has everything that you could want for a house. Most of it is in pretty good condition. Theres some good deals to be had. The workers are friendly and eager to help you find what you need.
This store is Huge! There is new stuff everyday. Prices on some things is too high, but most are fair and they are willing to work with you on some items. Furnished a 2 bedroom condo completely for less than $2000 and that included appliances. I am so going back!
Wow - if you EVER need furniture - go here first. They have an incredible, ever-changing selection of sofas, tables, dining sets, lamps, accessories and so many chairs. Prices are beyond fair - just take a look! Also, if you are downsizing and have stuff in fine condition you can no longer use - this just might be the best place to donate it (contact them first).
Always a find or two here. We came to donate some unused items and left with a few nice pieces to clean up and put to good use.
Its easy to find a gem here! So nicely set up and clean!!
After emailing the store with the furniture that we had to donate and their replied that they would take it, we got there and they refused to take anything from the truck, because they cannot sell the furniture we brought although it was in good working shape.I dont know if this is just bad management in this location, but I prefer Goodwill, and they took everything and were all around way more helpful.
Love the store and would shop there more if they were open on Sundays and later at night. Hours are not convenient for those who work. The website should be updated to show merchandise currently in the store even though it changes frequently.
Such a wonderful place to find unique thing that u may not find other places.. definitely like a large thrift shop with great!! Prices that go to an amazing place in the end so ur money actually does something good for someone else in the end! Yay!
Friendly staff and reasonably priced clean antiques for every room.
I used to work here (as a part-time employee). To describe the store in my own words: it was mostly good, and some bad. There are free pickups for furniture, and it is very reasonably priced in the store --- all the proceeds are going to building homes for those who need it, specifically ones in Freehold at the moment. Vast selection of things, huge store, friendly staff. Where does the bad part come in? Dont even try going into the back (where kitchen sets and garage supplies and stuff are sold). It is also a dropoff location of furniture, but I can guarantee you, we could never keep that place organized and walkable for more than a few days. That was just poor management. Again, as a former employee, I need to admit, we just barely met our quotas. Please support Habitat in this location, its the nearest one for 40 minutes, and they are doing a beautiful deed. We dont ever want to see this leave Freehold.
Lots of good stuff, worth a visit!
Stop here before you go anywhere. The volunteer staff member are wonderful. A special thanks to Gary - so helpful.
Good for used furniture. Prices were good too. Most things were out dated though. Obviously furniture that the owner wanted to get rid of.
Amazing staff! Friendly, helpful even at closing time. Great selection of merchandise as well.
Love it. Always great quality and great staff. They definitely care about everything they do.
Good for what ur looking for.
It’s a thrift store. Everybody who works there is nice, and there is always a good selection of bread machines.
I love to Shop there. They have everything !What is wonderful is that what you see & need/ want ...you can buy because it is affordable!!!
New price for old, scratched up furniture. You would think theyd negotiate a little on price to move merchandise but no.
This store quickly moved to the top of my list as my favorite habitat. They had some really nice and unique items, yje volunteers eere friendly.Great stop.
Tons of variety and so many items in fairly good shape! Sadly we can to find bookshelves and there were more kitchen cabinets than almost anything else.lots of items I dont understand the resale appeal such as kitchen cabinets, sinks, etc
Sent them pictures of my sofa they approved it then scheduled me a month out, the day that they came to pick up my couch they denied taking it saying it wasnt up to their specifications and they couldnt sell it. I told them Im closing in 2 days I have to remove the couch and Ive been waiting 30 days and the office already approved it because I sent pictures that they requested they didnt care
Bought a used whirlpool washing machine and it works perfectly for only 100 dollars.people there very helpful
Used to get good deals here. Now over priced on more than 50%
Nice inventory at reasonable prices. Very clean.
Great place to find almost anything to fix, replace or repair anything in your home and your money will help others to get a home of their own
Lots of goodies to choose from. Big furniture selection. Sometimes hidden treasures.
Huge store with some cool furniture and home improvement items. Hours are flaky.
So expensiveI can shop at reg store n be cheaper.Delivery is expensive also
Huge store with a lot of furniture. However, they are on the pricy side for being used furniture.
Very large choice of used furniture. Decent selection of windows and skylights. Some paint, bathroom fixtures, tools, doors, kitchen cabinets, and appliances.
Great customer service. Great way to save some money on furniture.
These people are the friendliest. Love this store.
Great selection, prices are set well. And they are real nice too!
Surprised at how expensive furniture was. Goodwill is much more inexpensive but there was a lot of variety.
Always helpful, fair, clean. We think everyone should come here before buying expensive boring new furniture!
Great selection of used furniture good quality and great prices!
You never know what you will find. Another mans junk is another mans treasure
It has some interesting things in here.
Nice stuff for decent price, and always reducing current price tag.
My new favorite place to catch a great deal
Always fun looking for good stuff
Fun
All good nice store
Great for supplies, building materials, furniture, rugs, and *knick-knacks.
Lots of options
Pleasant experience lots took at..
Great buys....
They have alot of donated furniture and the people are friendly!
They perform a great service for the community
I thought that it was all stuff from other stores but its all used things.i just felt they were slightly over priced for what it is and i did not like the condition of the things in there.i feel they should be on a sliding scale or something
Prices are ridiculously high. Not worth a dollar for what they ask!
Went to donate building material, glass block, paint, electric boxes and was told they dont need any of it. The glass block were in and unopened box.
Good for gently worn furniture
Great and Friendly staff! Plenty of quality items!!!!
Friendly, easy to navigate.
The best thrift in town
I could buy new furniture for the price of their used, very disappointed.,
Love this place.
Used furniture to buy that the proceeds benefit the needy.
Lots of stuff
A lot to choose from all Furniture no clothing
Much more expensive than the other Habitat stores.
