Good selection of coffee drinks, hot and cold. Right downstairs from main LLB store. Best part is being able to order food at the walk-up window at Linda Bs and take the food inside to have with their coffee.

I ordered the white mocha, and it was delicious, VERY hot, but really good. The place is very spacious and plenty of seating to sit and enjoy the coffee. The Baristas were very kind, called out by name, loud and clear, cant wait to go back.

If you order flavored coffee, it can be good, but if you are a black coffee or espresso guy, their coffee might be too light for you. I had asked if dark roast was available but I was told the medium roast was the darkest it could go, and the iced espresso tasted like regular iced coffee. I bought iced coffee from McDonalds few minutes later and it was stronger than the iced espresso. I was absolutely shocked.

They offer free wifi here, which is great for those of us visiting from Canada.Lots of seating available, wheelchair accessible and it has its own entrance so no need to go through the store if you dont need too.

Always excellent coffee and friendly staff. Its too bad the walk up to LL Bean is closed due to Covid but you can still walk around the beautiful campus with some of the best coffee in Maine in hand. Its one of the very few places in Maine that can actually make espresso drinks properly

Surprisingly good coffee... this particular store us inside the flagship LL bean store.. nice and bright with plenty of windows.

We met our daughter there after a quick stop at LL Bean. My chai latte was fine albeit warm, not hot, when it arrived. The place is nicely socially distanced unless someone chooses to stand too close to you. The chairs are pretty uncomfortable or I am just getting too old for coffee houses.

Turned into a ‘must visit’ the past few times we’ve been in Freeport. The staff is so kind and sweet. They recommended great unique drinks and always had a smile on their faces. I look forward to a future visit and their newest drink creations! A million times better than Starbucks!

Discovered this place recently. The space is cute and there was a lot of available seating when I arrived at 11:00am. Its a good space to do a little work on your laptop. I had a bagel breakfast sandwich and it was simple and tasty. A good spot for coffee and light bites.

Fantastic coffee. They have high and pour over coffee or espresso for enthusiasts. Flavored coffees for casuals and sugar hounds. Truly a great spot right inside L.L Bean with street entry for easy access. Cant go wrong coming here and prices are fair for some of the best coffee in Maine.

The atmosphere is like a close-knit family. Very friendly staff members who clearly has regulars and makes an effort to really connect people. I got the birthday latte (less sweet) and it was really good. My bf got the matcha latte with added honey & condense milk but it wasnt sweet at all. It was subpar at best but Im still coming back to try all there other creative lattes!

I was just passing through Freeport, so this was my first time at a Coffee By Design location, but I was very satisfied with the quality and service! Great drinks, mine was perfect, not too sweet, but potent flavor. Friendly staff, comfortable setting.

When in Rome (I mean Maine) get yourself a nice Blueberry Maple Latte. After you have walked endlessly through the multiple levels of full retail offerings in the LL Bean Store sit down and relax in their generous seating area that looks out onto an outdoor water feature.

Good iced tea and apple galette. There werent enough seats though in the cafe for customers!!!!!!Folks that were shopping at LL Bean that didnt purchase any beverages were camped out at the tables waiting for rides etc. I even saw a couple eating a sandwich from the cafe standing!

Awesome staff! Left my credit card at the shop on accident last week, called yesterday looking for it and learned they had found and locked it in their safe right away. No charges on it from the moment I left the shop til the time I picked it up. So relieved! Oh, and their coffee is awesome 😉. Thanks so much!

I am avoiding Starbucks and try local coffee shop since in my opinion that local taste much better! Im on vacation, and found this cute coffee shop. One lady knew some ASK, which Im thrilled to communicate easier than write on paper for the orders.Definitely go back on our next visit!

Ive been going to coffee by design for over ten years, I have yet to find another place that can even match how amazing their coffee is. Lots of fresh food options like deli made hot sandwiches or fresh donuts and croissants.

Love their coffee! Every time we visit Freeport we make a point to go here! Love the Black & White Latte. Always pleasant staff and fast!

Nice coffee. Have been coming here on holiday for a few years and this is a nice place to and pick up a coffee and a cookie or something like that. Nice staff and nice seats to sit and watch the world go by. A quick word of warning though, be Careful of the circular chairs. Theyre death traps

If you like Starbucks youll like them. I dont like dark coffee so I can not stay they deserve a one star, etc. Their hot chocolate is great, they heavily donate at Christmas time, their staff is great and friendly, the store locations are cool places to hang while you sip

Really only 2 details prevent this from being a 5 star review. The internet is quite pokey and a full workday here is frustrating as a result. The other issue is that the bathrooms are literally 2 floors away - so you can either play the I hope my stuff is ok game for much longer than a traditional coffee venue or pick up and hope theres a table when you come back.Great coffee, great staff/service, food I had was quite good. Just wish I could do a full workday without frustration from the location.

The coffee cannot be beat! The convenience -- its right downstairs from LLBean, and as such, the atmosphere is not a cozy cafe. But there are nice leather chairs and windows looking over a little waterfall, its great for what it is. Did I mention how good the coffee is?

You could miss this place just walking down Main Street in Freeport because its actually the only Main street entrance to LL Beans big store. However, its really a separate business and is a nice coffee shop with a variety of coffee and tea and some pretty good pastries and quick food choices. They have a variety of tables and chairs and if youre lucky you might settle in on their sofa or one of the big leather chairs where you can sit and read or just watch folks pass by.

Given the coffee beans they had on site-- I thought it would be great. Wasnt so thrilled when my single-origin coffee came out of a big, drip brewed dispenser like at starbucks. Noticed they had pourover equipment, but it wasnt clear on the menu that they offered it.
