TJ helped get us into our 2021 Mondo. This was our first boat and we didnt know exactly what we needed, but his recommendations for options I wasnt considering have proven to be especially valuable. His honesty on a couple options not being right for us was surprising as he wasnt worried about increasing the price of the boat, but only concerned with building the perfect boat for us.
So I have seen some negative reviews on victory lately and wanted to share my experience. I bought my first boat from them in 2018. TJ took an enormous amount of time helping my wife and I choose, design and buy our boat. Transaction went smoothly and couldnt be happier with the deal I got. Since then they have done all the service and maintenance for us. Tim and TJ have fielded questions from me many times and have always done their best to keep is happy. I know they are extremely busy and the time to get repairs done, phone calls answered, etc has increased. People have to understand that this isnt totally their fault. Suppliers are having issues getting them parts and inventory, Fremont is a small town with a limited employee pool so hiring and maintaining staff is an uphill battle. Unfortunately the biggest problem most businesses are having is finding employees that actually want to work, Victory is no different. Given the current situation with finding employees we all have to cut ALL businesses a bit of slack and be patient. If I was in the market to upgrade at this point I would ask to do everything in writing, this protects the buyer as well as the business. My advice is dont avoid looking to Victory for your next boat. Be an informed consumer and put the effort in to make sure you get the best deal.
I was actually doing laundry next door when I had a problem with one of the washers... so I went to the marine shop to have them look at the washer. They were there right away and fixed the problem!
I’ve bought multiple boats, ect from TJ. Actually becoming friends. The attention and service is second to none. If they had anything available I’d be buying my next boat from him. Be it sales or service, they always take care of me.
Excellent from building the boat through the delivery process. TJ was great to work with, and provides a top notch sales experience!
Just bought my first new boat from Victory. I stopped in a handful of times to ask questions and get quotes as I shopped around the local fishing boat dealers. I was always welcomed and my questions answered. There was no pressure as I worked through my decision process. TJ and the staff were all helpful throughout the process and continue to be a month after picking up my boat. Couldnt be happier...
Appreciated the help from Ron in getting my boat back on the road. They have always been very helpful!
I have purchased 4 new Lunds from Victory, TJ is outstanding, very knowledgeable, respectful, and always helpful in a timely manner. I also trade my boats in when I buy new again and have always received fare values,I have had nothing but good experiences with them and there staff, I took my boat to get serviced this spring and Tim got me in and took great care of me. I will buy my next boat again from TJ !
Great buying experience! TJ was very helpful and knowledgeable about his products. I’d definitely recommend this place to anyone ! Thanks tj the family sure loves it !
(Only reason they are getting a 5 star rating is because 10 STARS ISNT AN OPTION)For those that know about boats and dealerships, you know you dont just by the boat, you buy the backing of the dealership with it. Victory Marine is DEFINATLY A DEALEAR SHIP YOU WANT BACKING YOU.Ive purchased 2 boats from TJ and have been totally pleased with both the sales and the service Tim provides as well. You will be doing yourself a favor for giving them a chance to earn your business. This post Covid world is crazy to navigate around, but these guys are the best and will do what it take to keep you on the water. Keep it up guys.(on a side note, before you take too much stock in negative reviews, check out the history of their other reviews. Some people are hard to please.)
Victory Marine are the biggest crooks in the State. I agreed to a deal to buy a new boat from them and they took my pontoon in trade. Mind you that TJ Marsh came to Lincoln and viewed my pontoon. After I bought a new lift for my new Supra from them at a cost of $17,000 they lowered the trade in value of my pontoon by $13,850. This was after they had my pontoon was in their possession for 5 weeks. They ended up selling my Supra to another customer and lied about it the entire time. Ron Vlach refused to return my pontoon to me. Finally after 10 days, I had to go get it. Ron Vlach (the owner) refused to take back the lift for the new Supra I never got. He said you bought that fair and square. Liars from the word go! TJ Marsh and Ron Vlach need to be stopped!
WARNING!!! Do not do business with Victory Marine in Fremont. TJ and Ron are the biggest crooks and liars! We were given a price for a new Supra boat and TJ came to look at our pontoon for trade in. He sent us an offer on our pontoon and for the new boat. We verbally accepted and TJ came down and picked up our pontoon a couple days later. We asked if we should sign paperwork and he said let’s wait until we deliver the new boat next week. Next week comes and TJ says they are backed up with 4 boats ahead of us and it would be the following week. In the meantime we drove to Fremont and purchased a brand new boat lift so we could have it ready for when the new boat was delivered. Following week still no boat. Now 5 weeks later still no boat and now TJ’s excuses was there were 17 boats ahead of us. TJ said he could tell we were unhappy so he was canceling our deal. We told him we did NOT want to cancel we just wanted the boat. He then told us if we still wanted the boat we would have to pay another $14,000! TOTAL CROOKS. They ended up selling the boat to someone else behind our backs and then refused to take the $16,000 lift back and refused to return our pontoon! Read the reviews and ask around! Wish we would have!
TJ was odd and doesnt care if he sells a boat or not. Bought a Lund Tyee elsewhere. Waste of time.
TJ and Victory marine did an amazing job throughout the sales process while we made a large investment in a new Supra. He came out to our lake and launched the boat and spent 2.5 hours with us getting us acclimated to the boat which worked perfectly and was cleaned beforehand. We feel the price on the boat was great considering the boat came with almost every option available. I would recommend these guys for sure if your in the market for a new boat.
The owner Ron is rude always looking to cheat somebody I would warn everyone stay away from Victory Marine
This place is GREAT! The owner is a good man and really takes care of his customers. Highly recommend!
Decent place to look at a boat but if you give them 10000 dollars today you get a piece of paper and told it will take a week to get ur boat.
We purchased a used Sport Nautique from Victory Marine one month ago. I wanted to wait to write a review until they worked with us on the engine issue they covered up After our initial test drive, but it is clear that will not be happening. We also wanted to wait until after we received the title, which wasn’t mailed until May 19th, three weeks after the sale. We set up an appointment to pick up the boat and drove 9 hours to come pick it up. On the test drive the engine had a high-idle issue. TJ took it back and they worked on it for over two hours before they returned to the lake to take a video of it idling properly, they showed us this video and told us we were good to go. I trusted them and didn’t question their repair, which they said was a “replacement coil and an adjustment”. Three days later, after we returned home, I was performing a complete tune-up on the engine and noticed the idle air control valve was unhooked, I didn’t think much of it and plugged it back in. After I was done we took it to the lake to try it out. I started it and it went right back to the 1500 rpm idle we noticed on the test drive. I thought more about it and thought to unplug the idle air control, after doing this the boat idled perfectly. It is clear to me that they unplugged this and adjusted the throttle plate so the boat would idle properly for the video they showed us. However, this leaves the boat unable to start properly when cold and makes it extremely prone to dying when backing off of the throttle. It is also clear the coil they said they replaced is either original to the boat or they replaced it with a used unit. After communicating with TJ he said he had no idea about the “repair” and that his mechanic was on vacation, this was two weeks ago and he has not responded since. I have never had a “reputable” business treat me the way I have been treated by Victory Marine. They covered up a deal breaking engine issue and sent us on our way and have not worked with us to fix the issue. Please be very careful if you have to deal with them.
To say I feel disrespected and taken advantage of is an understatement. I purchased a used boat at the end of April. TJ was more than willing to work with us and was pleasant to deal with prior to the sale, in the store, during the initial test-drive, and during the actual point of sale. I drove a significant distance for this boat, but was more than willing to do it because it seemed perfect for my family. During the test drive, we found an error and immediately brought it to TJ’s attention. They were willing to diagnose and fix the problem while we were still there due to the significant distance we drove. After about two hours (completely understandable timeframe), we were not offered to go back out on the test drive, but the mechanic sent TJ a video of the problem being “fixed” while he drove the boat. The mechanic even threw in a few bottles of fuel cleaner to “aid in cleaning out the old gas and help it run easier.” These niceties were appreciated but felt more like a cover-up once we returned home and put the boat on the water. After we found the original problem identified on the test drive was covered up by just unplugging, we plugged the part back in and the problem returned. This issue would have made us reconsider continuing with the purchase of the boat. When we notified TJ of the issue, he stated he was unaware of the issue, but would speak to his mechanic, and would get back to us. We never received a phone call, email, or FaceBook message back (since that seemed to be the main form of communication with me). The engine problem is still not fixed. Furthermore, TJ reassured me that the title to the boat would “follow us back in the mail.” 25 days later, we finally received the title to the boat, but with an incomplete registration packet, and no previous registration paperwork. In addition to having a boat with a problem, we now cannot take it out on the water because we don’t have the proper documentation to register said boat. I would not recommend any sort of transactions with Victory Marine, LLC. While they appear to be customer-oriented on social media and will work with you until they get your money, they cover up mechanical issues, and ignore any sort of follow-up communication. Watch your back when dealing with Victory Marine. I wish I would have had a forewarning.
Spent 12000 bought a trailer boss very smart
Everything you need for having family fun on the water.
Very knowledgeable staff. Then help me pick out the parts I needed. Good job guys
Brought our boat to Victory for a trade. Told us to leave our boat with them over the weekend. Come Monday, they call us to tell us the gimbal bearing is going bad and that they wouldn’t take it in on trade unless we had it fixed, which of course then asked if we wanted to leave with them to have fixed. First they quoted us $1500 and then Brad called back and said $1000. I called two well known boat mechanics in Lincoln who both said to replace a gimbal bearing would be no more than $400. We came and picked our boat up and they couldn’t show my husband the “noise” it was making. We took the boat to a boat mechanic in our town and they said nothing was wrong and gimbal bearing wasn’t going out! Then after talking to other boaters, we find out this same thing happened to other people with Victory as a ploy to give us less on our trade. Don’t trust them and will never do business with them. They lost our trust and business. By the way, they took our boat out to the lake without our knowledge or consent. Any good mechanic can test a boat without taking to the lake.
The laundry matts washers break down a lot i in The middle of washing! Everytime Ive asked for a refund Ive never gotten one. Even went in to talk to someone there and never heard back!
