The owner is incredibly knowledgeable (I know nothing, but my husband is a major comic fan so is always asking him questions upon questions about everything)! Recently, my husband had to have surgery so the owner had set aside my husbands comics with the boards and bags, I didnt have to worry about trying to find which book it was or what number in the series or what variant, which is a high relief because that wouldnt have been a good thing if I got that wrong!! The owner has ALWAYS been polite and courteous. Weve been customers for at least 10 years, probably more like 15 or more. As long as he is in business and owns Treasure Island Comics, we will be customers.

It is a very clean and organized comic store, the owner and employees are very nice, very helpful and very knowledgeable of everything related to the comic industry. If you are new and trying to get start in comics stories, this is a great place since they help you according to your likes. And the variety of titles....endless, and I love it!

Love this comic shop. I recently have returned to reading comics and this place has been more than welcoming. The first thing that struck me was that the store itself is organized extremely well and inviting.I instantly could find new/old/trades without having to search overstuffed shelves like many other places.The staff here is also super helpful. Still one of the best Comics stores in Newark Fremont area. Its not just just the variety of Material its the customer service. If you catch the owner Alex here, hes a cornucopia of comic history and knowledge. Years after I retired from active comic buying and moved away from the Bay Area, he still remembers me by name. THATS what the online stores (cough, Amazon) will always lack. Personal human connection.

For a long time, I have been looking for Marvel comics to read. This is just the local store you are looking for. Today, for only $4.25 I bought an issue of one of the Deadpool comics, which I have been looking for for a long time to read. Unfortunately very small, but I can understand. Its still PACKED with comics. Overall, love the store! Please reply.

In the few short minutes I was in there, it had the feel of something wonderful. Help was available, and even though it looked a bit spartan (I found out they just had a holiday sale), I could sense that there is always good things happening there. I will plan on returning, attempting to find things I am looking for, as finding the joy of collecting comics there from time to time!!

This is my go to comic book shop every week whenever Im in town. The owner Alex, is a friendly dude and would be more than willing to help you with comic book suggestions or just get to know about you a bit more.One time I came in a few weeks late and the particular comic book I was looking for was already sold out. He was able to put an order for me from somewhere else. Another time he made sure to save me a copy of a book because he knew Id want the book (I didnt tell him to save it for me).These kind of gestures will keep me going to the store every Wednesday (or Sat/ Sunday if I couldnt make it) to pick up new books. No online experience can replace this for me.
