We walked in and asked for 2 twin mattresses with no springs. They took the time to show us different options, they also said they would take the old mattresses. I am very happy with my experience. Definitely go again.
I would have given 5 stars but after purchasing and picking up my recliner, which I had been told was a open box (probably a return where someone changed their mind), I found out it was actually another location’s floor display. The salesperson never mentioned this and had I been interested in a floor display I would have expected a discount. Which was not offered. I had to call the store back, talked to the manager who wasn’t the most helpful and finally is exchanging the floor model with one from the warehouse. I’m happy with the product but felt mislead by the staff.
My girlfriend and I stopped in as we have been looking to buy a sofa and loveseat and saw Slumberland had a sale on a sofa at a great price.Our sales rep Dale was probably the friendliest and most helpful salesman we have had. He was very happy to show us and look up everything and did not pressure us one bit!! Total 5 star service from Dale!! Go see him if you need furniture.All we have to do now is wait for delivery of our new furniture.

Went to purchase a couple of chairs and other items. Dale introduced himself then left me alone which was refreshing. Seems to know when to interact. Only problem was not much in inventory but did find everything I needed at a reasonable price.

I have purchased quite a few of my home and cabin furnishing from Slumberland, and I have never been disappointed.Dale Pepper is an outstanding Sales Associate, and he really takes the time to understand your needs and what you are looking for in furnishings. If I recall, I have worked with Dale in the past, and I truly appreciate working with him.
I was not overly impressed with my experience mattress shopping and sofa shopping. Having said that, I did find what I wanted and am happy with my choices, and the prices.The salesperson helping me with the mattress neglected to point out that without a low profile foundation, I’d need a ladder to climb into bed. Yes, an exaggeration. The plus is that they changed it out without a problem.When I noticed an immediate problem with body heat retention with the new mattress, I researched the problem and found that it is indeed a thing. Shane, the manager, when I approached him with the issue, denied that there is a correlation with body heat retention and memory foam, instead insinuating it was my personal issue. In an effort to explain to him my research, he continued to put it back on me which was frustrating as I knew he either 1) wasn’t hearing me or 2) didn’t want to admit that his salesperson neglected to give me good information regarding different types of mattresses. Ultimately, he gave me a tip regarding sheet fiber (polyester makes for warmer sleep and natural fibers cooler) which I tried and the issue has greatly improved. It’s frustrating when a sales person doesn’t just admit that their customer really is correct this time, lol!!The fact they have a 120 day trial period is wonderful, although it’s not completely free: $100 restocking fee, requirement to buy a mattress cover from them ($79), plus delivery fee again.With the lazy boy sofa there is a protection plan whose cost is a sliding scale based on item price which I did purchase. 5 year extended warranty and if not used, it’s refunded. We will see how that works.Overall, I would shop here again with the awareness that I need to do more independent research and rely less on sales person knowledge.

Very pleased, great customer service. Fred was not a helicopter salesman. We didnt realize that we showed up right at closing until we left 15mins after. He allowed us to walk through without any pressure, we found what we were looking for, he rang us up and we were on our way. Very pleasant experience.

Fred was very knowledgeable about all the items I was interested in and answered all my questions thoroughly, accurately, and politely. He also checked on all sales prices and any discounts that I would qualify for. He was meticulous in presenting my receipt--explaining all costs and discounts, estimated time of delivery, and any other costs of services I might be interested in. We were looking for a bed set for my son and the sales person was great she knew what we needed and showed us the items they had with some recommended things and gave us a decent discount as well.
I was looking around some furniture stores for a King size headboard and for some dressers. I am REALLY not liking the new dressers because the arent nearly as large as ones I purchased several years ago. I found that they dont have nearly the depth anymore. I found that its not just Slumberland either. I think it is way over-priced for what you pay.
Always enjoy going into Slumberland. No matter what I buy I always feel welcome and that I get a good deal on what I purchase.

Service was great. They didn’t hound us to buy, but we did. I bought a bunk bed for my granddaughters and they love it. Best buy for the money. We looked at a number of stores and this was our last place we were going to look. Wish we had started here. Delivery was super fast. Yes, my daughter and me put it together ourselves, was a bit challenging, but the end result was perfect. A very sturdy bunk bed.
I was shopping for a trundle bed for my grandson and had been to 3 other furniture stores before arriving at Slumberland on University. Brad was very helpful and showed my grandson and I a couple different styles. The one my grandson selected was Orange, (floor model,) but Brad mentioned it was also in Blue. My grandson chose the Blue model and Brad explained it was in stock and could be picked up in a few days. We also purchased the tempurpedic mattress that was on sale and fit the bed nicely. Brad did show us a less costly mattress but offered the sale discount along with a $50 savings and I was quite satisfied. It had been a long afternoon and several bed styles later. Slumberland had the best style at the best price. My grandson should sleep Slumber In his new bed. Thanks for your patience and experience Brad!
Do not order furniture from here unless you have WAY more time to wait for your furniture to come in!I just bought my first home and have absolutely no living room furniture. I went to Slumberland back in the middle of July and saw they had a great deal on a living room set so I happily purchased it. The salesperson was a little odd, but still provided good customer service. At that time, I was told end of August for shipping due to Covid, which is totally understandable!Well once that date passed, I called to just check on the status. I was told then that they were just waiting on the couch and loveseat and they would both be in within 10 days. Well 10 days came and passed and with still no updates from Slumberland, I gave them a call today. Not only did the customer service rep on the phone make a joke about my last name, but then told me that the earliest that all of my furniture would be available would be October 4th and they would call me sometime after that for delivery.I completely get that things are delayed due to Covid, but if they would have just kept me in the loop with a simple email or call I would have been more understanding. Changing the dates multiple times without telling the customer is very frustrating and now I have no idea if I should believe if my furniture will actually be in during October or if I will just not have any furniture until the end of this year.I can not wait for my furniture to be delivered so I do not have to deal with this company again.

Brad was AMAZING!! I went in on Wednesday and was hesitant to buy. He answered all my questions and even checked the warehouse to make sure the items I was considering were in stock. I came back Saturday after going to 4 other furniture stores to look and he remembered me as well as helped me wrap up the sale of my sectional, which will be delivered this upcoming Wednesday!!! Thank you so muchUpdate: After buying my sectional and thinking all was well the incorrect one was delivered to me last week. I was upset of course, but thought “hey you know what it was an honest mistake”. I called the store got it straightened out and a date was set to have the correct one delivered. During this conversation I asked “what if I decide I want to keep this one”, I was advised to just call by Friday. On Friday I called and advised I wanted to keep the left facing chase sectional that was delivered incorrectly the first time, but a new one needed to be delivered because the one I had was damaged (unknown if this happened in the warehouse or dying set up). I was told a manager would contact me. Saturday I get a call from the manager and got a new delivery set up and thought all was good. Today 3/12 the new delivery comes and guess what it is the wrong sectional AGAIN!!! This is the 2nd time I’ve had to adjust my sleeping hours to be up for a delivery that was incorrect and make sure my living room was clear of decor. Yet again, called the store and was only met with the manager telling me I needed to send a picture of the sectional I have now as if I am unable to tell my left from my right. Oh yea and they would contact me to set up yet another delivery! I am so unsatisfied with this experience and service!!!!

When I walled in, ot was a nice non attacked by sales feeling. As i walked through Pam noticed I was looking for something ( just a mattress) she showed me where they were. I told her I only needed a full size and she showed me where to look and how the pricing worked and delivery options. Then to my surprise, she told me to look around and gave me her name. Well i found what I was looking for wothin my price range and need. We did the paperwork and I left happy.
I love the dining set I received from this store but I ordered it on Dec.11th and didn’t receive it until Feb. 26 due. The store didn’t offer any credits/discounts or anything due to the long wait to get my dining set. It was pretty disappointing.

In store, the customer service was great. We ordered a back stocked item, and some of the communication regarding delivery was confusing. When I called to check on the delivery, I said I forgot to write down the date, but had in fact been given two dates. The person I spoke with on the phone was short, moderately helpful, but this customer service experience left a lot to be desired. Probably a rough day, and did in fact answer my question, but it was is stark contrast to the previous 3 interactions. Would recommend in person without question, would caution customers in over the phone communication unless you have a very specific question regarding delivery.Edit:Nearly 5 months later we still haven’t received our replacement couch that was delivered damage, nor have we received four ottoman. After nearly 6 different dates given for delivery, and only after calling multiple times does it look like we may actually get the furniture we ordered. In the most recent communication the sales person tried to resell a protection plan that we had already purchased and have the receipt for. I get that Covid-19 makes everything more difficult, but as the customer we should not have had to be the ones to communicate more than 6 times over the phone. There were no updates provided by the sales team or delivery team unprompted.Second edit:Everything turned out fine and we love the furniture. The communication got progressively better and given the pandemic I would stand by the be prepared to wait but you will like what you get.
Was greeted nicely by John Clark. Immediately showed me what I asked for. Gave me the rundown on the piece, didnt try to upsell or otherwise, in other words a good solid rep for your store. Did exactly for me what I needed. Done.

We have been to other big name furniture stores and I will tell you Slumberland in Fridley was the big winner, with so many options and great customer service! They are very knowledgeable about their products, prices and policies. We asked over 50 questions and John was able to answer every one of them with out showing frustration or impatience. He was able to help us figure out multiple customization options and prices for the pieces we wanted. We never once felt pressured or like we were wasting his time, John even pulled out the measuring tape to help us figure out the best option for our house. Such a great experience, we will definitely come back for future purchases and recommend them to people we know. Give them a try and youll be happy.

I looked online and found an entertainment center with a fireplace in the middle that look just perfect for my new living room. I called the store and asked if they could help me order it just to make sure I got all the discounts they were provided to me. The associate that answered the phone was more than willing to help me out and took the time to explain everything to me so that I understood. He made sure I received all the discounts and had all the options for delivery that they had available. They even offer free delivery right outside your door. I love shopping at Slumberland they have some really good deals and this time was no different. Even though my delivery will take longer than usual due to covid-19 I cant wait to see it in person.

I called before coming in and spoke with John who was very courteous and informative over the phone. When I walked in he was right at the door to greet me show me exactly what I wanted I was in and out in about 10 minutes. John was extremely pleasant and professional.
Our salesperson at Slumberland greeted us right away, helped us look up a past purchase, and made purchasing new living room furniture a breeze today. We always find their pricing to be very good as well and will continue to use them for our furniture needs.

I’m giving a five star to John Clark because he is a good salesman. I purchased a sofa July.1st and as of today Oct.17th I am still waiting for a delivery date. Buyers beware of the Fridley store, they have told us several times that it was there sitting in the truck and will be 10 days before they can deliver. We bought this during the pandemic and was told it would be 4 to 6 weeks before delivery and now they’re saying it’s because of the pandemic that it’s been this long. I am getting a refund on my purchase and will never purchase furniture from this company. I suggest everybody do the same.
I liked the fact that we were allowed plenty of time to browse on our own after being greeted. Shane was polite & knowledgeable. The store was neat & clean. I havent shopped for furniture for awhile, I was very impressed with the treatment I got. Will definitely shop there again.
