First time in store. I was immediately turned off by being asked to put on a mask upon entry for service. Very slim selection of donuts available. Very small claustrophobic area for ordering donuts. And the employee assisting the gentleman in front of me in line was not polite. Very short answers, no eye contact. Generally seemed he couldnt be bothered. All of this combined was enough for me to leave with no plans to return. Donuts Ive had in the past of theirs (provided by a 3rd party) werent that good, but wanted to try their take on some more traditional donuts.

Stopped by to check this place out, the donuts we got were great. The apple fritters were especially great. They are on the pricey end but thats expected with specialty donuts. All of the staff was masked as well

Best donuts in town and love that they have taco deli tacos! Used to come here every weekend but since they brought back the mask stuff we’ve unfortunately been going elsewhere.

These doughnuts were fabulous. We especially enjoyed the key lime pie one! The apple fritter bites were delicious, and the lemon poppyseed and lavender was a pleasant surprise. We hope to be back soon!

Nice selection of specialty doughnuts and fantastic customer service. Prices were about as high as you could get a doughnut but thats to be expected considering the area. The place is very small so if its more than just two people I would say go for pick up and eat elsewhere. Not a huge selection of coffee but what they do have is good. I will return and try some more options soon. For reference I paid 12 bucks for one specialty coffee and one filled doughnut including the tip.

These donuts are so tasteful. The creativity in the donuts is impeccable. I can see that hard work is really put into them. I have tasted all of the special month donuts since February 😂 because they are that good.

Some of the most thoughtful donuts Ive ever experienced. Exquisite flavor combinations that both food critics and your average donut lover will love. Their seasonal flavors are always fun but I personally love their Creme Bruleé donuts. Not as sweet as youd imagine and that signature flame-broiled sugar topping is the icing on the cake (or in this case, the donut).Really proud of what Jinny and her team are doing at Detour and in our community! 🙌🏼

Wow!!!!! That’s all I’ve got to say. The doughnuts were amazing and I appreciate the fact that it’s not overly sweet! The Taro was on point! The place is cute and the doughnuts are delicious. It doesn’t get any better than that.

Very unique donuts, little bit pricey but you can justify price because of uniqueness. I had creme brulee donut excellent. Also tried banana pudding which was not so good. My donut was dry and the pudding brown, maybe because I ate it a couple hours after I brought it home. They had face masks available in entrance for everyone. I liked that. I am going back to try more donuts.

One of those little places where they will attack you right after you step inside the door if you dont have your mask on. I am sure they are just trying to keep everyone safe and healthy while selling you all that overpriced fat and sugar covered in fancy décor.

Detour has some of the most unique doughnuts in the Dallas area. The pastry dough is light and is void of the oily taste you find in many doughnuts around the city. These doughnuts are a whole vibe...yes, I said it.

Amazing donuts and the kindest people! Ordered a box of seasonal February donuts (strawberry matcha, key lime pie, chocolate^3) and the cookies and cream. Everything was amazing but the key lime pie was INCREDIBLE. Can’t wait to try the March flavors, absolutely worth the drive from Dallas. Thank you for everything you do to keep the community safe!

She uses her platform to not only share the behind the scenes of her shop but to also share her life which helps you grow a connection to a human and face behind the shop.It’s on the higher end of prices for donuts ($2-4.50) so it’ll add up quick depending on how you order. They serve sausage rolls as well which are on the average side but nice to have. When I first started coming here, I thought the concepts were great but execution and quality was lacking. Now, I’ve seen they’ve improved so much! Their yeast donuts are tender and their cake donuts have a beautiful light crisp on the outside. Go and bring friends and share!

The donuts are pretty good. Even though it was a busy time, the service was slower than expected We especially waited forever to get coffee. They dont make a traditional cappuccino, it was basically just a small latte.

Go to spot for gourmet donuts. They make creative and delicious yeast donuts, cake donuts, and tea as well. They also serve various coffees, sausage rolls, fritters and breakfast tacos from tacodeli.They have a great seasonal selection and each donut is artfully done even down to crushed nuts or cookie crumble for texture. There cake donut game has improved over the last year. I highly recommend a visit here. If we lived closer this would be a regular stop.

Yummy! I drove almost 30 minutes to try their Pride donuts. Unfortunately they ran out. So I chose the blueberry basil donut and was so glad I did! Moist, not overly sweet, great hints of basil and fresh blueberries. Highly recommend plus follow them on Facebook. Owner is an amazing human.

Craving some donuts this sunny Sunday morning and drove to Detour for the first time to try some gourmet donuts 🍩 There was a line of 5 people outside the door when I got there at 9am, but the line filed in quick. They are great at protecting the public by requiring masks and limiting the number of people indoors.We ordered the red velvet, emoji donut, classic glazed, donut holes, and creme brûlée and the march specials ( honey lemon mascarpone, sea salt dark chocolate and almonds). All of the donuts tasted SO fresh. The cake donuts (red velvet and sea salt chocolate) were the perfect texture of density. And they had just the right amount of sweetness.Top favorites: The honey lemon mascarpone is filled with a sunny spring light lemon flavor, and we absolutely loved it. The creme brûlée’s light caramelized topping gave the perfect crunch and munch.Their website showed that they create new flavors every month. Excited to see what else they’ll mix up next!

A godsend of savory and tasty beyond just sweet. The chef and proprietor is everything we all love about small business America. She is smart, fierce, and is a blessing for her local community. I have honestly never seen someone give so much of themselves to their work. Its inspiring, truthfully. I follow her on insta, you all should. Seeing her emotion and passion not just for her work but also her community has me feeling like a better human just for being an occasional customer.

All were amazing but my favorite was the salted caramel apple and cookies and cream.

Some of the best donuts around! The strawberry shortcake donut is legit the donut of my dreams. But the simple glazed one is also amazing too. I’m always amazed at all of the cool creations this place. Limes up with. Lavender in a donut sounded too weird but it was delicious. My kids love the emoji donuts, because they’re super colorful and fun. Really appreciate how the owner is still requiring masks to keep customers and employees safe.

Detour doughnuts steps up the game when it comes to flavors and taste. They change up their speciality flavors every month which is no small feat.I had to try their classic creme brulee donut which was pretty good. The filling was so light and fluffy. Out favorite was the Oreo donut which I thought would be too sweet, but surprisingly was a smooth flavor with just the right amount of sweetness.Tip: either go early or preorder if you wanna make sure you get what you want. I really wanted the apple fritter, but they ran out so come prepared b/c they will run out!Highly recommend 5/5.

They created the best doughnuts Ive ever had in my entire life. Not too sweet and they use thick cream it seems like instead of a lot of sugar based filling. The doughnuts are also light a fluffy like a Crispy Cream. This place makes the perfect doughnuts and the flavor combinations are spot on amazing. I hope they open more locations, they must have perfectionists creating these amazing delights. A true 6/5 stars on my list.

My favorite donuts EVER. The flavors are so creative and you won’t find them anywhere else! Really disappointed in the customer service from the owner. I tried to talk about catering my wedding MONTHS in advanced. She told me to talk to her again this April about it. I reached back out weeks ago with no response. She finally responded and said they no longer are taking wedding orders. So sad I waited all this time for nothing. I was excited to support a great local business. The owner was also extremely rude in her messages towards me, and frankly there are so many other businesses with amazing people owning them, there’s no need to waste my time here. I won’t be back.

Not only are her donuts beyond delicious and fresh, Jinny is another reason to go and visit the store and be a recurring patron. She helped provide eggs and milk during the winter storm when they were hard to come by at the local grocery store. At detour you can find weekly donuts and every month offers new flavors to delight your tastebuds. The staff is also sweet and friendly to boot! She offers no contact quick and easy curbside as well! Jinny runs a modern, easy to order, and socially conscious business. Our family enjoys detour quite often as it’s become a weekly ritual!

There are not enough words to explain how good these donuts are. I just went here and got the orange rosemary, chocolate, and lemon mascarpone all were fantastic. Moreover, if you want to go to a place where the atmosphere is welcoming and you know the donut recipes change every month then you are in the right place. Plus they have great coffee.

Ok, this place is awesome, service was great from the young tall long haired blond, seemed like she was giving everyone such great service, she greeted everyone who came in.My only add would be to put more filling in the keylime donuts, mine had almost none and that was why I wanted it. The raspberry has plenty so maybe was a one off thing but when it comes to custards fill em up full please.

THE CHOCOLATE DONUTS!!!! Im always more of a glazed person, until now. They dont use the flavorless chocolate frosting. Its smooth, creamy milk chocolate on top. Wow theyre so good. I microwaved them and they were even better warm. 10/10!!

The best doughnuts on planet earth! They’re made with unique ingredients, taste wonderful. The sweetness is not overwhelming so that is perfect for me since diabetes runs in the family. Literally made my entire family taste them and they always crave Detour. You’ll never find a spot like this. Very rare. Doughnuts are definitely made with love! Yum. :)

I love that they still require to wear a mask after greg Abbott took away mask mandate in the state. We must do the minimalist thing to protect each other. Love their donuts and highly recommend the mocha cake donut. Goes well with golden lavender latte

My FAVORITE donut place. I live in Fort Worth and I have no issue driving to Frisco JUST to get these donuts! The dark chocolate sea salt almond is the BEST. It just makes me SO happy. If this donut became a part of the main menu, I may just move to Frisco so I can always be near! The customer service is the best and the donuts are unbeatable! Stop thinking and just go already! Its impossible to be disappointed!

I recommend the lemon lavender. So good. A little cramped inside, but they move the line fast. Great coffee options too. Highly recommend.The staff has been going above and beyond during the whole pandemic. I will continue to go every chance I get for as long as they are in business, which I hope is forever.

The best donut shop in DFW! These guys sure know how to make a gourmet donut. All the flavors are done very well. The cream and filling are not too sweet and have great flavor combinations. Similar to the kind of pastries and desserts youd find in Asia. Also big plus is they are open until 6pm on Fri and Sat!

My number one go to for donut and I love the crew they super passionate about what they do. The owner is amazing has such a big heart. I try to get there donut ever month the apple fritters are amazing they got big one and tiny mini that are just adorable.

We were camping close to this doughnut shop, so I had grandkids sleeping over with us in our camper so I ran down and grabbed some doughnuts... wow three fifty apiece for a blan doughnut cover with frosting. Guess it was the location frisco and I was expecting normal doughnut prices.

Delicious doughnuts and such variety! I had salted caramel sesame and dark chocolate with almonds. Son had cookies and cream and creme brulee. My husband had maple bacon and it had a ton of bacon on top. Should have taken photos. They are pricey so it will definitely be a sometimes treat but we will go back.

Pleasant surprise! They have kind of a fancy version of donuts almost like cakes. However, the basic version of them were a bit disappointing. Simply too dry for my taste. And their price seems little high.
