Baskets are high quality, but service is non-existent. I paid EXTRA for EXPEDITED FREIGHT and the products arrived 4 days late. I emailed Wine Country Gift Baskets 4 times with no response. I had to track down the baskets myself with FEDEX. Still no response from the company. Buyer be aware of their poor customer service and dont order if you need something delivered by a certain date.
I bought a basket for my wife to celebrate our wedding anniversary and chose the delivery date on the exact day of the celebration and they delivered two days in advance ... So the company did not fulfill its obligation to deliver on the contracted date. I do not recommend!

Products from Wine Country Gift Baskets do not arrive as ordered and the customer service is nothing short of horrendous. For 10 years, I relied on Wine Country Gift Baskets as my go-to vendor for sending gift baskets to friends, family, customers, and work colleagues. That is no longer the case. Instead of rectifying errors, the line agents answering customer calls claim to be “supervisors” and blame the recipients for the company’s errors. My most recent experiences are unrecognizable from the Wine Country Gift Baskets with whom I first placed an order more than decade ago. In September 2020, I sent gift baskets to three different people and added the “gift note” that purportedly allows customers to add a note to the recipients. Not one of those three gift baskets contained the note. When I called customer service last Friday to complain, the agent denied that the notes were missing and suggested that the recipients must just not have seen them. When I asked to speak to the supervisor, the agent told me she was the supervisor and said she would credit the order with a 20% discount. That credit has not gone through. I called back 10 minutes later (partly because I found it difficult to believe that a supervisor would be answering first line calls). I spoke to another agent and was given the exact same story. No apologies, no efforts to rectify the error, just blaming three different recipients for not noticing the gift notes. This agent also claimed to be the supervisor, just as the first agent had claimed 10 minutes earlier. While mistakes can happen with any company, there are correct ways to handle them and then there is the way Wine Country Gift Baskets “supervisors” handle them. As a result, this company has lost a customer who has been consistently ordering from them for over a decade.** Update: Since the time this was posted, the 20% refund described above went through **
Please do not spend your money ordering gift baskets from this company, especially if its for a special occasion. We ordered a very special gift for Fathers Day and it was scheduled to be delivered the Friday before. Come Monday, no gift was delivered so they said they would send another overnight. Then we get a message saying that the delivery is again delayed due to poor weather conditions in the area. However, we called to confirm this, as well as send them a screenshot from a traffic camera, and its sunny and clear roads, 72° and no poor weather in sight! They are very good at taking your money for gifts that never show up.
We use Wine Country Gift Baskets for all of our client holiday baskets each year and I just used them to send several gift baskets during the Covid-19 shut down. The baskets are always amazing, presented so nicely and are full of wonderful items. Everyone that has received one has always been very happy. Its a wonderful gift basket idea, however, I dont drink wines, (its just a name!) and the gifts here, are so great!! They have collections of gift baskets, just because they didnt deliver to you or do something like that, doesnt mean you can just review, just ask again or be patient, it can over due, but still.. Weve never ever been disappointed and that is including about 45 baskets in total. Anniversaries, promotions, condolences, well wishes, and baskets that just say that we are thinking about someone in particular. We love to send different types of candy towers. The gift platters of holiday cookies, whichever holiday, are fantastic for the kids. the champagne tub is perfect for anniversaries. Every basket that we have sent has gotten rave reviews from those who have received them. As far as the poor reviews go, I believe there are ulterior motives in them.🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
My husband and I received this as a Christmas gift. It was an insult. If you care about quality, as the giver of a gift, order from reputable company i.e. Harry and Davids, Amys, etc. The products were stale, the soup bowls and tray you can find at the Dollar Tree.
I had utilized this company formerly to deliver a gift basket to my father; and had a positive experience. I thought when his Birthday came up this year, I would do the same. Unfortunately the experience was not the same this time around. I chose a basket with free delivery; however due to the time constraints was required to pay an extra $20 for expedited service, which was fine, it was my fault. The issue came the next day (Friday) when the package did not arrive (non alcoholic, so no need to sign for anything). They had a local # which the courier service did not access, nor did they leave any notion of how the package could be picked up or when it would be delivered again. Not on Saturday, not on Sunday, either. I learned that finally on the Monday evening the package had been delivered. So much for a timely surprise on his Birthday (which of course was the previous Friday). I contacted the company who offered to refund my $20 expedited fee. Needless to say, Ill never order through this company again. I have zero faith that they will/can deliver on time and lets face it, this kind of purchase is always time sensitive, not mention expensive with the additional guaranteed expedited rates. I appreciate the refund on shipping, but my dads Birthday came and went without my gift, and I felt pretty crappy.
I ordered the Steeplechase vineyard quartet, It included 4 bottles of wine and a bunch of little snacks. I went on the website and ordered online and I got a discount and free shipping. They gave me a delivery date and was delivered on time to my friends. They loved the basket and said everything was great. I paid $110 I felt it was a great deal. I would definitely use this company again and recommend them to my friends. They have great customer service as well!!! I am grateful for gift baskets!! Don’t get me wrong, a surprise basket of goodies is the best for the entire family. I’m just disappointed with some of the products in the gift basket. For example, the Mini Ritelle cranberry & sesame cookies by Ciao Italia... on the box it looks like the red cranberry is glistening from every crevice in the cookie. The reality cookie is much dryer with no glistening cranberry in sight. I’m still thrilled with my gift, however, I wish there were higher quality - or fairly depicted products.

A hidden Gem for Christmas gift shopping. I go during their warehouse sale, the prices are amazing. Imagine the gift baskets you see online and in Costco for $30 and up for $10-$15. I picked up 32 gifts for under $400 bucks. EXCELLENT!!!

Customer Service at this place has no empowerment to make things right. Someone purchased a gift basket for me, over the phone. The person that took down the information recorded the address wrong, and my gift basket was sent to a neighbor. Because there was wine in the basket, and the neighbor was not home, they received a notice instructing them to drive to the UPS distribution center and pick up the package. Once they arrived at the center, they learned that the gift was not for them. What a tremendous waste of time for these poor people!I called customer service to report the issue and to ask them to step up and send a small token of apology to my neighbors who, thanks to a clerical error on Wine Country Gift Baskets part, wasted their precious time. They refused, stating that the only option they had was to refund an unnamed percentage of my gift givers purchase price. I declined that, because for all I know that percentage was 5 or 10%, and if they received the refund with an apology note, they would know how upset I was about the situation with my neighbors. I didnt want that to happen.Pitiful organization. Pitiful employees. No customer service. Dont own up to their mistakes. Do not order a gifts from these folks. They do not care if you are happy, and they do not care if they put people out.

I worked for this company and it uses cheap food and wine. Too much packing expired foods and stale wine. Baskets cost about from 0.04 cents to maybe 15 dollars. But sell them from min. Of 25 dollars to a max of 800 dollars. But thats capitalism. Money is everything. Including for me.
My company received three baskets from Wine Country Gift Baskets this year for the holidays. Two were very large and one was slightly smaller. While we greatly appreciate the sentiment of the firms that sent these gifts, we really wish they wouldnt have. We are a small company and everyone disliked the baskets - we had trouble giving the stuff away.The individual items are sometimes good, sometimes not. The really frustrating thing is the amount of trash produced by these baskets. Box after box after box of tiny bits of cookies, candy, etc. Way more boxes and waste than product. Then add the shredded stuffing, cardboard support, plastic wrap, baskets, etc. A lot of unwanted, wasteful stuff for the landfill. Lots of flash, little substance.Sorry to be so Bah Humbug, but this company could do so much better.
5th season working there. Staff and rehires, new hires are superb! Gets crazy busy on phones for those who wait till the last minute to order. Holiday warehouse sale gets just as crazy for those who tend to be thrifty with the Christmas gifts.
You pay a lot of money for just a little stuff, and most of it is stale. You definitely dont want to order anything during the summer, especially anything with chocolate, as your gift recipient will get a gooey mess. Mostly, the pictures make the items look far larger than they really are, and by showing the contents twice, in and out of the boxes, it makes it look like youre getting double. Its a ruse, and its a ripoff. You might pay $80 for a basket; the cookies, three little ones; the candy, maybe 10 pieces; the other things weigh less than an ounce. It is a horrible value and there is terrible inconsistency. I quit buying from them. Avoid.
In placing my order online, I encountered a glitch that prevented me from entering a free gift message that was several characters less than the 180 character limit. After speaking with customer service several separate times, I was told that although this glitch could not be circumvented on my end, the message could be easily altered over the phone after the order was placed. Although at first they claimed never to have dealt with this issue before, they eventually blamed it on my Mac operating system.After placing the order, I called customer service a total of 6 times over the course of 2 days in order to get the gift message changed. The first couple times, customer service reps encountered the same glitch on their end and were unable to change the message. Customer service then allegedly submitted a form so that the message would be altered by another department that worked on a different system. I was never told what this department was, nor how to contact them directly. Every time I contacted customer service I was connected with a different representative and had to explain the situation all over again. I was told that after this request was sent to the other department, that the issue would be resolved in 2.5 hours. After calling 3.5 hours later, I was told that it wasnt processed yet and to call again the next morning (as the company allegedly operates 24/7 during the holidays).When I called first thing the morning, I was promptly informed that my gift baskets had already been shipped out without the appropriate gift message changes made. All I was offered in compensation for this mistake on the part of Wine Country was a 10% credit back on my order.In the end, 8 expensive baskets were shipped out to different business partners of mine with a pathetic single sentence message. I spent hours attempting to resolve an issue that should not have existed in the first place, for a part of the ordering process that should take no more than 30 seconds. Sufficed to say, I will not be using this service again in the future.My trust in the customer service department was broken at every turn as I was repeatedly lied to. I can only hope that somehow word reaches Wine Countrys tech department so that this glaring flaw in their online ordering system is fixed for future customers. A computer brand and operating system that represents half of all computers in the United States shouldnt disqualify customers from using your online store.
We ordered a wine gift basket for my mother in law as a Christmas gift and it was damaged in shipment. Not only did they replace the gift basket they rush shipped it at their cost so it would be here in time for Christmas. Excellent customer service!!!
Wine Country Gift Baskets are the worst for this type of gift. This company must be run by a bunch of incompetent people. I ordered a basket on the 8th of December and requested delivery on the 21st of December. With that much of a lead time, they couldnt even get that right. They charged my credit card on the 18th and emailed me a notification that it was shipped and due to arrive on the 21st. The basket was never delivered. I would NOT recommend using this crummy business. They are not reliable.

I wish I could have more positive comments, but the food products in these baskets, and Ive received a few, are pretty substandard. Everything is packaged to look good, but when you open the crackers or cookies, theyre barely edible. I threw out much of the food in the last one. As for the wine, Im not a wine snoot, but a couple of the bottles of red wine were so bad, I couldnt drink them. Poured them down the drain. Its obvious, that anyone receiving these baskets wouldnt buy them to give to someone else.
Paid $126 for a gift basket to be sent on Valentines day, my wife received the package without the message in it. My wife had to contact me to make sure the package came from me. Called customer service and spoke to Sonia and Geraldine only to be offered a hallmark card to be sent to my wife with my message on it 2 days after the valentines day. I expressed my dissatisfaction and before I hang up was then offered $20 back but I was already pissed off and insulted. Worse experience ever. Btw the basket was not worth the price. Do not ruin your Valentines day with this company
Ordered a gift on the May 2nd to be delivered on May 11th for Mothers Day. The basket just arrived on the May 14th, the day after Mothers Day. I can understand a day late, but 3 days I dont understand. It finally came right after I spoke with the company and the UPS driver says, it looks like someone sat on it. The package looked like it had been thrown here and there, the cookies were all broken, thank goodness the wine survived. The only reason they get one star is because they did refund my money, but the money wasnt the issue. They say UPS doesnt guarantee delivery, so why are there different rates than? UPS says it wasnt shipped in time.
The quality of the items was lower than expected. I friend generously ordered a basket for us from Wine Country Gift Baskets so I feel bad writing this. He gets an A for thoughtfulness, Wine Country gets an F. The peanut brittle tasted stale. The pirouette cookies had a greasy filling and smelled industrial. Nearly every item was a brand that sounded made-up rather than a known brand. None of the products had expiration dates on them. The huge gift box was deceptively full of packing material and air.

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE! If you purchase as a guest, you have no way of tracking your order or even seeing if it was delivered, since no delivery confirmation email is sent to you. Even when you register with the site, theres no way to search an order number. Chat is a web form that you never get a response from. Its like you flush money down the toilet. Might as well be a scam. Ill never order from these people again.

I used to use these guys to send gifts to my friends in the USA. Products were okay/average and delivery was (mostly) timely. I would have given them a 4/5, however, theyve stopped accepting Paypal for payment from international buyers. This is my preferred method of payment for international transactions on account of the buyer and seller protection. I can only assume they removed this as a result of penalties from Paypal - i.e., they have not met their obligations previously on Paypal processed international purchases. Cant trust enough to purchase from them again.[EDIT]theyre also delayed in removal of email addresses from their marketing material. second time ive tried unsubscribing, rating drop to a 1 instead of 2.[/EDIT]
I placed an order for two bottles of wine as a gift on the 19th, and pored over every inch of the online order form to ensure that they would be delivered on or before December 24th. I even got charged extra for the expedited delivery, and received several notifications during the order process supposedly guaranteeing the delivery date. The items did not arrive until Friday, December 27th.Although the shipping process was unpleasant, and made for a slightly awkward situation on Christmas Day, the customer service department was helpful when I called them, and immediately refunded the full shipping charge.
