Great shop, and cool and knowledgeable people (Dan)! Located in a historic uptown Monrovia. I picked up my pork pie throne at an incredible price.
This place is great! They have pretty much every type of stick brand and model you could possibly find and think of haha customer service is nice too 👍
Bigger than youd expect from the outside. An eclectic selection including plenty of drum sets, cymbals and a wall of snare drums. Its not just hand percussion instruments. Friendly and helpful staff. Will return next time Im in the area.
As you can tell from my profile I dont really do a lot of yelping.... Anyway, this place is the best and deserves a comment!!!I got into my head with my drum tuning and needed a second opinion. The guys jumped on the project with enthusiasm. Not only did I learn a lot but also had a great time laughing and chatting with the staff. They even stayed a few minutes past closing to make sure the job was done right. I literally may have the best sounding drum kit in the US right now!!!! These guys are a wealth of knowledge and complete the package with service and personality.I will go out of my way to bring my business here and you should too.It was an experience you simply dont get many places anymore.
Absolutely love these guys. Came in here last weekend to get new snare cords for my 1972 Ludwig Supraphonic. Jason and Stephanie were SUPER stars. Stephanie identified that the snare release was actually missing an entire butt-plate to hold the cords in place. She installed a new release AND polished the drum. 10/10 service and vibe, I live in Long Beach but I come out here for all my percussion things
I’m really disappointed with Lone Star percussion, a company that usually delivers and provides a great service to the drumming community. In my previous experiences with them, the staff has always done an amazing job with the online ordering process; especially when it comes down to communication, shipping & handling time, customer service, etc.Unfortunately, this has not been the case with my latest order/experience. I paid for two pairs of drumsticks that were “in stock” and the next business day, I received a confirmation that my order had been fulfilled, and I was provided a tracking number for delivery through USPS. So far, all pretty standard with online orders. No funny business there.I let a few days pass before checking on the status of the shipment. When I did look up the tracking number, I noticed the package never made it to USPS. The tracking info stated “awaiting item” from sender.Naturally, I found this to be a little strange. So, I decided to reach out to Lone Star through email and ask for an update. I heard back right away, which would’ve been very assuring, save for the fact that I received the typical “we did send the package, it’s not our fault, it’s the carrier’s fault” runaround explanation by Jonathan Hobbs, Assistant Sales Manager. He asked me to wait until they could figure out what happened to the package. I’m a patient person, so while I didn’t think that was the best way to handle my inquiry from a salesperson’s/customer service point of view, I gave him the benefit of the doubt. That was almost a week ago and I still haven’t heard from them since, still no update and still no delivery.Lone Star staff, while I understand it is the holiday season and online sales go through the roof, this is still not a valid excuse to lose an order for two pairs of drumsticks and then throw your hands up in the air, leaving the customer without the items in question. To be fair, these items have already been paid for. I’ve done my part. It’s now time for you guys to hold up your end of the deal.
I love to take my son to buy drum sticks or another thing that need for drum. This place does good service and give me 10%discount when I buy they product.I would recommend anyone that need to buy music equipment should come here.
My husband is a professional drummer and has been to many music stores thru the years and as a drummer/percussionist he highly recommends Lone Star Percussion. You will feel like a kid in a candy store. The very BEST part is the service that you get. Matt, Jason and Vince are truly knowledgeable and take the time to answer any questions you may have. When it comes to the price they are fair and honest. You will never receive this level of service or wide selection of quality percussion instruments at any large retail music store. This truly is a percussionists dream.
Friendly staff. Great selection of percussion instruments and supplies. The staff can answer questions and help you find what you need. They can also help if you need minor fixes to your instrument. They also do lessons. The location is in a predominantly industrial area, but its worth the travel!
BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!!!!! Both on the phone and in the store. Super friendly and knowledgeable staff. Store is beautiful and clean. Dont let the size fool you....... Im sure they could get anything you need or help you find it. This is our new go to store before all others 😀
This place has all you need or they will order for you. The employees really know their stuff and are super helpful and polite.
I feel very fortunate to have Lone Star Percussion in my area. They are knowledgeable and carry a great selection. They were very helpful and took care of my order for my school group. Competitive pricing too!
As for my second visit, these guys never fail to impress me with their amazing customer service. They are always on top on their game. I will definitely come here more as its not too far from where I live, which is a great thing for a young drummer who wants to get more serious about this.
This place is spanking new! Opened late February 2017. Pretty much your typical percussion equipment. Staff is friendly and know their products and can demonstrate something or 2 to get you understanding more of what youre looking for.
This place Fkn rocks. The folks there are super cool real friendly. And they got some cool toys great deals. I just visited this establishment for the first time tonight. And they have my loyalties as a regular customer .
Lone Star Percussion is a drummers haven. The staff is top notch and speaks the drummers language. Whether its drumset drumming or marching percussion, they can help you. The store is wall to wall drums and percussion and cymbals and sticks and much more. Forget Guitar Center or Sam Ash for drums. The experts are at Lone Star.
Great service! And they always have in stock what we are looking for it!
Good service from folks who specialize in percussion. Very pleased with them on to separate occasions.
